I own a trs-80 model 16a, and wish to use the z80 -> 68000 IPC,
but have no real useful documentation to work with. I may have
enough information to dope it out, with the combined efforts of
a teach ref manual + two service manuals + some letters from tandy,
but it would clearly take me a great deal of time and effort to do
so.
So, my request is that if anyone out there has done the great amount
of work involved in doing IPC on the mod 16a without an OS, or has
written some sort of z80/68000 OS they would be willing to share,
PLEASE send me a message. Most of you know tandy, and know tandy's
excuse for documentation, so I would venture to say you can understand
why I don't wan't to find the bugs in there documentation trying to find
out how to do IPC on this thing.
All help is greatly appreciated. Areas of most interest:
z80 -> 68000 IPC
68000 -> z80 IPC
z80 device I/O (ttys, floppies, lpr-port)
trs-80 Hard disk I/O + control
DMA unit
Interrupt controller (special att to the RTC)
Anything else you can think of that would be useful to learning
more about the machine.
This is of course, just a wish list, but if you can fill in any piece,
(especially the top two) it would be a great help to me. Thanks in advance.
Yours In TRS-hacking
