Subject: Ys anime has been released in US!


Hi!

Well, being a huge Ys fan, I was very excited to see this!  "Anime Works" has 
released the first book (four 25-minute episodes) of the Ys anime on DVD!  
It's terrific; I had only seen the first episode, and that was all in 
Japanese with NO subtitles.  This new DVD is available as a DUB as well as 
subtitles.  I never watch subtitles (if I can help it) so I can say that the 
DUB was excellent, done by the same people who did such an excellent job on 
"El Hazard".  EXCELLENT anime.

The first DVD starts Adol on his adventure, his meeting with Sarah in Minea, 
and his trek with Dogi.  Good animation and a really good story, so far.

Many videogames were later released as anime, and most of them tend to be 
pretty mediocre - but this one really is GOOD.  One of the nicest touches, 
for me personally, was the DVD screen - they made it look like the game 
screen!

It was released about ten years ago in Japan, but I'm glad that this finally 
made its way over to North America.
