I was faffing about on the Viz Media site again, specifically the
streaming anime site again, and in their "recently uploaded subs"
section was episode 700-some of One Piece.
My first thought was "has Viz taken over the NA rights to One Piece?"
I watched it, or at least the very first of it where they show the logos
of the American licensor and the logo of the studio that actually made
it, and the Funimation logo (not the Viz logo) that came up, so I don't
think they have.
Is it just some kind of mistake since both Funimation and Viz link back
to Hulu for their streaming content? Do Funimation and Viz media have
some sort of cross marketing deal? What is the explanation - enquiring
minds want to know.

Or Funi are getting money from Viz, or are paying Viz to promote the
content, or something along these lines. It's all advertising.
