"The Minna no Evangelion Fan blog posted images of the 18.5-meter
(61-foot) long figure of the Neon Genesis Evangelion character Rei
Ayanami on Wednesday. A team built and inflated the figure outside of
the NTV Tower in the Shiodome area of Tokyo as part of the "Shiohaku
Expo 2012" summer amusement event. The figure features a slide (pictured
at right) that attendees can slide down during the event."

Alas, not a water-slide, so no splashing around in LCL for
participants...

What a coincidence, must be the pre-promotions to the release of the
next Evangelion movie.

I received an Schick-Evangelion campain razor set, from a friend in
Japan that visited Mexico last week, includes a 5 bladed razor, shaving
gel and a Rei Ayanami doll

Now I can receive the next impact with a perfect shave =)

I think so. That should be before the end of the year.

I saw those in the stores. They are everywhere. There was an Asuka version
out as well this week in Tokyo.

I believe the movie comes out November 11. Which is good, because
that's when I plan to be over there!

Interestingly enough, I saw the opening day showing of Eva 1.0, when
I was in Yokohama for Worldcon 2007. I hope to go see 3.0 in the
same movie house, if I can.

Also, they just opened up a second Eva-themed store in the Hakone-
Yumoto station. I saw pictures of one of the signs in one window,
and it's a neat in-joke, it's a train schedule for all the trains
going to Tokyo-3. I will be going there, too.
