The conference was held with members of an advocacy group called 9\/11 Families and Survivors United For Justice Against Terrorism, who have engaged in legal efforts to hold the Saudi government legally liable for the September 11 attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats also spoke on behalf of the bill. Representative Stephen Lynch of Massachusetts said it was important \u201cto hold accountable those who aided and abetted these savage attacks on our homeland\u201d.
