INFO, Fall 1983
INFO was one of many small (low circulation) magazines that were available for Commodore computers over the years. It started life as INFO=64 covering just the Commodore 64 and it was produced using a Commodore 64 and dot matrix printer in a spare bedroom. Later, it became more professional looking through the use of better software and laser printers. Eventually, INFO=64 became .info and started covering the Amiga and using the Amiga for production instead of the Commodore 64.
INFO had a pretty long life for such a magazine. It was published for about nine years from 1983 until 1992. Amiga coverage was added and the name was changed from INFO=64 to just INFO with issue number eight in September 1985. The magazine became Amiga exclusive and the name changed to .info with issue number 32 in September 1990. The magazine ceased publication and went out of business after issue number 45 in December 1991.
Above is the cover for the premiere issue from the fall of 1983.
