Lines: 34 I'm looking for a C128 (80 column) terminal program that works with the 1660 300 baud (SLOW) modem. I've used Desterm 1.02 when I borrowed my friends 1200 baud 1670, but I don't have that anymore. Desterm is an excellent program, however, it doesn't work on non-Hayes compatible modems. Anyone have some suggestions? In response to the request on C128 public domain sites, doesn't anyone have some information? I know there are a few FTP sites (like Milton.u.washington.edu (I think that's the correct spelling)) but they aren't really updated often. No one seems to have responded to the request for information regarding "The Hitchiker's Guide to GEOS." If you own the Official Reference Guide you can get most of the programming info you need, but nothing on GEOS 128. Jim Colette and the writer at GEOWORLD have some information on the subject that I have been using, enough to get by. There are still a few mysteries however. If anyone wants I can post the information I have managed to read about (as well as some notes from the programmers that was uploaded to Q-Link a while ago--I'm no longer a member, so if someone has access to Q-Link, there might be more up to date info). As far as using GEOPROGRAMMER 1.0, if you change the status of the 40/80 column flag (in the header), it will run in 80-column mode, the screen is somewhat messed up, but readable. I have a program that will do that. It can be uploaded to one of the FTP sites if someone needs it--they just have to tell me how. GEOPROGRAMMER 2.0, although never released, is probably finished. Due to very poor sales of 1.0 Berkeley never bothered to release 2.0. If there is enough interest maybe we can get RUN to distribute it like they did with GEOBASIC. Write letters to RUN or Berkeley. Well, that's all for now. :)
