I am wondering if I can get an official statement from Commodore as to the
status of the Rev 6 and 6.1 motherboards. I am currently working for a dealer
in Ottawa, Canada, and am having quite a few problems with these systems, and
quite a few RAM expansion boards.

  Example Today:

Customer bought a ProRam 2000 (Marketed by PP&S and designed by ASDG), and
populated with 2M. This customer, when he installed the board got a constant
reset, and could not get the machine to load. He brought in to us with his
machine (At my request, as I had tested the board before we released it to
the customer), and shure enough, it was the Much Roumered about Rev 6.0
motherboard. I checked the ProRam in various boards ( a few 4.2, a 4.0, and
a few 6.0), and it worked in every NON- 6.0 motherboard, but failed in
various ways with the 6.0 (One other would do a constant reset, another
a 68000 exception 04, yet another was fine until a program was actually
loaded into FastRam and it Froze). Other boards of various types were checked,
and they all consistantly failed in one way or another in the 6.0 motherboards.

If Commodore could release a Fix to the problem, or even a simple summary of
what causes the problem (Maybe someone from ASDG could help with this) it would
be very appreciated. This is one problem that commodore should get onto
IMMEDIATELY, as it is just such a messup that can cause dealers to once and
for all give up on Commodore.

If the motherboard cannot be fixed, I trust a FREE tradin with the revised
and fixed motherboard will be put in place for the Customers and the dealers.
We've already lost enough money because of this problem.
