We are using elm to support non-technical mail users, and we would like
to be able to include in our tutorial documentation a way to cancel
modes that are entered accidentally.  For instance, if a user presses
'r' to read a message, it would be nice if they could just press
 or some other control key to cancel the mode that they find
themselves in.  I suppose  is a bad choice, since it is the
first character of many legitimate sequences.  Perhaps ^C would be a
good choice.  -David-
