This makes running messages very slow. One thing I've observed is that vui runs quick. What is the major difference between these two programs that causes such a large speed difference? The obvious difference of graphical versus terminal based interface doesn't suggest such a large speed difference to me (although I could be wrong). Are there other, major features that messages is utilizing that vui doesn't? - Anthony Edwards
