Is there anyone out there who has a passing aquaintance with vsh? It is known
to produce a very simple, and I might add somewhat non-standard, error message
which simply says "error 57, line 1".

Usually Unix utilites give the name of the routine that is aborting. Not so,
it seems, with vsh.

My question is, simply, what the (explative deleted) does that message mean?
