Keywords: Call A.P.P.L.E. (i.e. II Plus) I was browsing through a bookstore last week when I came across an ad for a drive or some other hardware in Call A.P.P.L.E. magazine, and at the bottom of the ad was mentioned that this company also had a controller card that would interface the old Apples to a 3.5 drive. Unfortunately, I got sidetracked by an article about the 6502 as a RISC processor and I put down the magazine, thinking that I didn't want it. Well, later in the week, I recalled the 3.5 controller ad, and returned to find that the bookstore had sold out of Call A.P.P.L.E. (I had looked at the only copy in the store at the time). Turns out that it is awful hard to get Call A.P.P.L.E., and I should have grabbed it right away! P.S. It is quite possible that I am mistaken - that the ad was in another magazine - but I have looked at all the other available Apple mags and I don't see it mentioned anywhere else. I really hope someone can find this for me. P.P.S. Does anyone want to buy a used Laser/C.P.S./VideoTechnology Universal Disk Controller card? Turns out that it doesn't work reliably with a 65C802 on my TransWarp, and it frustrates me to have to run my machine at 1 MHz (using the 65C02 on the motherboard) just to access 3.5 disks. It works with 100% reliability on my unaccelerated Plus, I just want to sell it and move on to a controller compatible with my TransWarp and the 65C802 that I use.
