I just bought a 5.25" floppy disk drive for my 520 ST.
It works just great with PC-Ditto, but I can't get it to work
in native mode. The drive formats OK (using M. Braner's 40 track
formatting program) and I can access the first tracks (including
the root directory), but I get access errors on later tracks.

I realize that this is probably because the drive's seek time is
longer than the ST generally allows for, but I can't remember how
to change the seek time. Just setting the location in protected
memory doesn't seem to work. I know this has been posted before,
but I didn't save the articles as I didn't need the info then.

So, could someone please enlighten me about how to get this working?
C source code or a pointer to a (cheap) utility would be great.

Many thanks,
