How about using PKZIP/PKUNZIP. This is low-cost shareware that does a great job of compressing. It comes with a utility that will convert .ZIP file to a self-extracting .EXE file. You could ZIP the file, convert it to EXE and the user then only has to execute it in the sub-directory where he wants it unzipped. The user does not need to have the compress software. If he has a need to use ZIP for other needs, he can register his own version for a relative small fee. -- |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| |Glen Midkiff osu-cis!dsacg1!gmidkiff | |From the Internet: gmidkiff@dsacg1.dla.mil | |Phone: (614)-238-9643 @DLA, Systems Automation Center, Columbus, Oh. |
