it looks like the wrong filename (ie, the name of the source
file (junk.c), rather than the name of the profile data file
(junk.d)) gets put in the generated code when you use -a with
gcc...The result is that when you run the resulting program,
which compiles without error, it WIPES OUT THE SOURCE FILE. :-( :-( :-(

This is on a Sun-3, Sunos 4.0.
