In <8910022135.AA12864@umix.cc.umich.edu> eal@SOL.ENGIN.UMICH.EDU writes
some instructions for setting up HDB over the TCP transport, but only included
the entries for Systems, Devices, and Permissions files. The following is
"submitted for your approval" (with a brief nod to The Twilight Zone :-)

          1. Verify that the /etc/services file has a uucp entry that resembles:

uucp 540/tcp uucpd # uucp daemon

          2. Verify that tcpd is running (correctly).

          3. Edit the /etc/inetd.conf file adding a line that resembles:

uucp stream tcp nowait root /usr/lib/uucp/uucpd uucpd

              and restart inetd.

          4. The /usr/lib/uucp/Systems file entry should look like:

hiway61 Any TCP 540 hiway61 login: uucp assword: uucpwd

          5. The /usr/lib/uucp/Devices file entry should look like:

                  TCP,t TCP - Any TCP

          6. Initiate the connection as normal.
