It is blazingly fast, creates relatively small *.jep files, and has many command line switches which make it very flexible. You will have to be more specific than just saying "garbage output", but I suspect that either a) you are not using the right fonts, or b) you are not copying the file to the printer properly (i.e. copy/b %1.jep lpt1:).
