I know I've heard this discussed out here before, but I
never thought it would happen to me!

How can I read a Sun Tar tape written with /dev/rst0 on
an Apollo node ? My local SE says it can't be done with
the device (rst0) chosen by the Sun user that wrote the
tape.

Using tar tf /dev/rct8 gives "blocksize = 0" .

Don't tell me to make friends with our Sun administrators.

Thanks,
