At a first glance the problem seemed trivial, but the
troubles had just started ...

This is the background:
We have written a graphic editor (with Objective-C and
ICpak201). Now I want to use the different symbols (their
bitmaps) for the print out. I soon found a way to convert
  them into the imagemask format.

This is the problem:
Almost all of the bitmaps is 12x12 pixels and the imagemask
operator places a two-character string (8 bits) on stack each
time. I'm not sure if I missunderstood something, but my 12x12
bitmaps doesn't look the same on paper and on screen, I tried
some tricks, but I haven't come to any solution. Is there a way
to scan 12 bits at a time?

THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST
