I was involved with HP Internet up until a year ago. This is built
almost entirely using cisco routers, and at the time I left spanned
the continental US, the UK (via a 64Kb/s HDLC satellite link) and
Europe (via X.25), with several thousand nodes. This network was
built by "engineers" to parallel the existing MIS X.25 HP network.

The cisco routers made this network run *amazingly* well - so much so
that the growth rate of the network surprised everyone involved, and
astonished the MIS guys! In short, the hardware and software are
excellent and work well, and the guys at cisco are very competent and
helpful.
