Message-ID:Date: 29 Sep 89 13:29:04 GMT Organization: Class of '90, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, PA Lines: 32 People, I have a couple questions about that game of games. . . >> Spoiler alert! Spoiler alert! << Basically, I played the game for about 2 solid weeks and have gotten my characters to the point where they can jam any monster. I killed the dragon and the stone golems. But I don't think I have everything I need to go get the stupid gem out of the orange junk on the last level. And I just don't have time to pour through the dungeon any more. Guess what? I even tried going to the Grey Mage up top for help, but he took the Firestaff and nuked all my guys (what a _ick!). It would appear I have to trap the black, horned creep on the second to last level in the "fluncage" of the Firestaff. Well, it would help if I knew what a "fluncage" was because I can't find it in Webster's Unabridged. I don't think you can kill him with normal means, because I have sunk well over 10000 hp's worth of damage into him. He just doen't respond. To anything! -- except it sort of appears that he runs away when I brandish the staff. So can someone give me some clues as to what to do? I'm sure the finale is pretty neato, and I just want to see it. Actually I have some more specific questions -- but it would take someone who was currently playing, or really knew the game to answer. Thanks for your help. Peter C. Green pg0p@andrew.cmu.edu
