Summary: Could a plain text version of a RFC always be made available? Keywords: RFC, PostScript, Plain Text Message-ID: <2@van-bc.UUCP> Date: 28 Sep 89 08:49:41 GMT References: <5446@asylum.SF.CA.US> Reply-To: skl@wimsey.bc.ca (Samuel Lam) Organization: Balliffe International, Vancouver, B.C., Canada Lines: 15 It would be great if those of us without easy access to PostScript capable laser printers would not be kept out of future RFC's, as with the recent RFC which only has a PostScript version. Requiring that each PostScript RFC submitted be accompanied with a plain text version should do it. (The reverse wouldn't be necessary). There are still many people who cannot easily have a PostScript file printed. (Or is the argument that those people should be kept out in the cold because if one can't afford a PostScript capable printer he/she shouldn't be reading RFC's? :-( ) ...Sam -- Samuel Lamor {uunet,ubc-cs}!wimsey.bc.ca!skl
