KidWriter is put out be FirstByte along with several other talking educational s/w packages (spelling, math, first letters/words, etc.) They are quite simple and have limited features, but are very user friendly. The versions I have are came out under ProDOS 16 and will not work under GSOS sys. disk 5.0. I heard somewhere that the series is no longer supported, but I don't know that for a fact. > I believe there was also something for the IIgs that was a TALKING word > processor for kids. Thay all talk, however, they use the sound chip, (not digitized sound like Reader Rabbit), so they are hard to understand and it takes some getting use to. > David Douthitt +---------------------------------------------------------+ | I heard some where IBM stood for "I've Been Mugged"...| | Phil Lindberg snail mail: 13845 S.E. 131 ST | | INET: prl3546@tahoma.UUCP Renton, WA 98056 | | UUCP: ..!uunet!bcstec!tahoma!prl3546 | | Disclaimer: I don't speak for my employer (and I not | | sure they even know I exist....) | +---------------------------------------------------------+
