Every commercial and research products are concern whether their product meets the industry or defacto standard. I am trying to collect information hoping to do a write-up (if its not already available) that provide a complete view of the STANDARDS documents (today and the future) and the organization(s) that are involved in defining/developing/promoting the STANDARDS. Among the information that I need are: 1.) Existing (and to be established) bodies or organization that are involved in STANDARD(S), including: a. Members of the organization b. Organization Structure and Operations c. Process for producing the STANDARD documents d. Success/Failure e. Future Plans 2.) The relationship of all these organizations/bodies 3.) The relationship of the STANDARDS 4.) Opinions on this issue Thanks. -- rafee (NOTE: I suggest that all response should be directed straight to me to avoid overload on the net.) {uunet, mcvax, munnari, indogtw, indovax, etrivax, sorak, kaist}!mimos!rafee or rafee@rangkom.MY ---------------- Volume-Number: Volume 17, Number 26
