Half true.  nn ("no news is good news") also provides readers with
the "kill file advantage."

This brings up an important point; I think it's helpful to mention (by name)
your reader if you are asking a questions about reading news, and your
system if your question is based on something that is machine-dependent.
That way, answers are much more likely to be useful to the person who asked
the question, and there will be less confusion all around.
