I'll tell you what will happen to them here--they'll keep right on being
used. We have 20+ Macs in our lab (SEs) and there are several smaller
labs around campus as well as many offices set up with Pluses and SEs.
Do you realise the cost involved in upgrading 20+ Macs to be able to run
the system 7.0 software--20 memory upgrades and 20 floppy drive upgrades.
I can't picture it happening before 1991--the boss just won't go for it.
I had to spend my own $$$ to get extra memory for my own office Mac II.
I know other universities in the area will take the exact same approach.
