KEYBOARD and other electronic music magazines tend to misuse the
term "operating system". A third-party company comes up with an environment
in which several of its own programs can co-exist and share data, and this
gets labeled an "operating system". The companies call it various things,
like "program environment", but the magazines are using "OS" as a buzzword,
much like "workstation" is misused.
