You've got the reason correct (to slow the 1540 for the C64), but I think the - and + are reversed. I don't have a 1540, but for the 1541 I use: OPEN15,8,15,"UI-":CLOSE15 for the VIC-20 OPEN15,8,15,"UI+":CLOSE15 for the C-64 Of course the "8" can be a "9" for some drives which have had their device numbers changed. --Myron -- Myron A.
