DOS 3.3 presumably* calls the CMOS-setting functions of INT 1Ah, so if
your BIOS doesn't support your clock (and XT clocks differ from
manufacturer to manufacturer), you're out of luck.

*I'm still running 3.1, so I can't be definitive until I get 3.3 in
several weeks.
