This has annoyed me for almost a decade. I understand why a full emulation of the 1541 operating system costs so much, but why isn't a partial emulation available? Gimme a SCSI interface for my 128/64, and let me buy one of the cheapo (reconditioned) hard drives I see advertised in the _Computer Shopper_! 10MB costs less than $99 now, and ten megabytes will do me just fine for my Commodore.. I can even do without the blinding speed of the Xetec harddrives; if I could buy that SCSI interface for +/- $100 I would do the DOS emulation myself. Anyone know of a cheap SCSI interface for the 64? Or schematics to build one? How about scematics/plans to emulate an IBM 8-bit card slot? :-) David -- David Paulsen ..uunet!nuchat!seven ||| The Curiosity Shop BBS, 713/488-7836 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The spirit is free / Where the wild things roam Next to the sea / The electric ocean [The Cult]
