Well, to begin with the Xt distributed with the widgets is a bug fixed
R2 library, not an R3 library.  The R3 intrinsics were not made
available outside of DEC in time for us to modify and test our widget
set before the R3 tape deadline.

You'll need to use R2 Athena widgets or R3 HP widgets
This is not a "supported" activity.  If you don't care about keyboard
traversal of the interface, you'll probably get away with it.  Widget
sets are not guaranteed to be mixable and matchable.
