I had this same problem with a DC-2212 modem.  Except my file took over
3 hours.  They (PC-LINK) used to have a problem of not updating the 
Data Resent number.  That was the problem with the 2212.  I don't know
if it has been fixed since I went to a 2400BD and now everything flies.
