Subject: Why no command echo with su2?

  When I become superuser via the su2 command, the commands I type are not
  echoed.  But, the command is received and exectued as usual.
  When I become superuser via a different method (the su command) they are 
  echoed.  What might I be doing wrong with the su2 command?
