Recently, someone posted an article describing a bug in sendmail at
SR9.7, whereby mail could be sent off-site, but not to any local user.
I can't remember who it was, and the article has expired at this site,
so I'm posting a fix.

At least one of the SR9.x Domain/IX installation scripts fails to
properly set owners and setuid bits on several key programs, such as
su, login, and... /bin/mail.  Thus, mail can't write to /usr/spool/mail. 
Naturally, sendmail tries to return error mail, invoking the local
mailer (guess who) to deliver it...

Resetting the owner (root) and setuid bit fixes this.
