We connected the printer, loaded the DeskWriter driver and fonts, but everytime we print, we get a message to the effect that the printer doesn't responde. From the Finder, doing a Print Directory, the message says to check the connections. Now, we tried to different cables, from different manufacturers, so the problem is not there. I tried the modem and printer ports by using my modem and they are okay. I took the system Folder out of the hard disk and went through the installation process and nothing. Last, my friend went to the store and got ANOTHER DeskWriter but the problem persist. The guy at the HP Customer Support was very helpful but we couldn't solve the problem. Oh yes, we did select the printer on the Chooser. Anybody has any clues of what can be wrong (Mac, ports, software, cable, printer, all of the above)?
