I remember reading a few posts about people running either a bbs or just comm programs in the background. Well, anyways, I put telix in the background, and ran a game in another window, and it came to a really slow SLOW near halt. This was quite a suprise, since I have a 25 mhz machine. So I am soliciting those desqview experts as to how to fine tune DesqView, and still have reliable communications. I think the machine may have been dropping characters since there were erors in a local transfer also. If you are running this setup, please e-mail me, or post. I may be a little late for this discussion, since I wasn't able to keep up on my acccount for the summer. thanx lee gates -- gatesl@jacobs.cs.orst.edu ** 'must be Oregon, look there's another person with rust on 'em.' gates@romana.cs.orst.edu 'anybody got a job for an aspiring cs undergrad?' :-)
