Where can I find information about the bdf font file language and/or
programs that create these fonts for X?

The IBM RT (AIX 2.2.1) X package is missing some of the standard fonts
and I would like to understand how bdf font files are created and managed.

If there are any archive sites for font files, I can only access via usenet
mail.

P.S. How does one go about getting the MIT X tape? I have been told
that the fonts I seek are on the tape. I copy of the tape I have seen
does not have fonts labeled such as vr-20 and so-forth. Is this an X10 ism?

Thanks for your time.
