Greetings-

We are currently running as our nameserver a Sun 3/180, under SunOS
3.5. This same machine is also our Yellow Pages master. The version
of the nameserver that Sun sent us seems to have hooks in it such that
YP clients access the nameserver via YP.

We are hoping to have an HP 900/835 replace our Sun this semester as
our nameserver, and dump YP altogether. (We have our reasons.)

Has anyone out there had success in getting a nameserver to run on
their HP? How much hacking did it take on the standard distribution?
Any other comments and words of advice would be appreciated before we
take the plunge.

Thanks,

John
