Now, I don't mind (a lot) acting like a bibliography for somebody, although
I object to someone using the net as a first source (do a *little* work yourself
first--Smith's paper is referenced all over the place).

However, not even being willing to pick up the referenced paper, especially
something easy like ACM Transactions on Computer Systems, is going
overboard on laziness.

John, the address is your local library, or pick up any ACM TOCS to get the
reprint address.
