Hi,

Thank to those who responded to me on the subject of choosing the
right disk drive for my C64 (83/84) i.e. a 2nd disk drive.
An interesting subject popped up in of the mails I received.

Maybe I should get a REU instead of a 2nd disk drive !

As far as I know, there are 1700, 1750, 1764 (?). From some
of the previous articles in here, it seems to me that an old
C64 does not usually work friendly with a REU. Is that true ?
Also, many people mentioned about putting a wire here and there
to make it work ! But, is there a REU which is fully compatible
with my old 64 and does not require hacking ? What is its
memory size and price ? Will it work 100% with all the
software or only 90% (just like a commercial copy program, ha ha) ?

What are the pros and cons to have a REU as opposed to a 2nd disk
drive ?

Thanx in advance !
