Is it being marketed by Comm. or some $third party... $Soofi This is a Commodore product. A2024: 15" (I think) 1008x800 resolution 2 bit plane gray scale. Also acts as a flickerFixer for normal 640x400 displays. The circuitry is inside the monitor, and therefore it will work with all Amigas. I would recommend 1Mb of chip RAM. We have not announced a release date for this product, but it should be available soon. Moniterm already sells a 19" version with the same specs, which uses a card that plugs into the A2000 series' video slot and is therefore not compatible with A500 or A1000. I believe the Sugg. List is $1995 for this product. Their # is (612)935-4151. Personal opinion: While the Amiga's color is great, many applications are fine in monochrome, such as a lot of desktop publishing, and these monitors are GREAT for it. A number of programs including Excellence, Professional Page, and Professional Draw can open screens in 1008x800 mode. Since even the Workbench can run in 1008x800, programs like WordPerfect allow you to see about 100 lines of text at one time. I also use it for TeX, and this amount of screen real estate allows for the previewer, edit window, and TeX program window to all be tiled on the screen. Paul.
