Hi,
I am planning on buying a large hard disk for a mac IIcx
(running A/UX and MacOS). I have been looking at a variety
of 300MB disks, and finally have almost decided on the La Cie
600 MB hard disk (mostly 'cause I noticed that it cost $3100,
while the cheap 300's cost about $2700! For $400 I will
suffer with an extra 300 MB!)

Has any one used La Cie hard disks? Any comments about them?
Have you ever had problems with them? If so, what was their
service/support like? (I heard about the lack of silver*
software... I asked about that at MacWorld... they said that
they did have problems, but Everything but Silver Platter
(the modem sharing software) was being shipped currently,
and that that would come later -- I don't remember who had
that problem, but has anybody received it yet?) Any other
comments about the drive?

thanks in advance,
+C
