>Am getting the file not found error when clicking on a MS Word document

This problem is caused by the desktop manager file being present in the system
folder. This is required on both Appleshare servers and large disk drives.

What the desktop manager does is create alternate directories other than the
desktop file that DO NOT HAVE A 288k SIZE RESTRICTION!!

If your desktop file ever reached this size LOOK OUT! The work-a-round from
Apple (unofficially) was to install "desktop manager" into your system folder.
This will not be required when system 7.0 is released - supposedly. This fix isnot without it's price. Unless an APPLICATION HAS BEEN PRESENT ON THE DESKTOP once it will not be found when you click on one of its saved files. This is
true of any Mac application. Not just MS Word. To get this to not occurr then
drag the application to the desktop once, then return it to its folder.
From then on the saved data files will find the application when they are
clicked on.
