[problem with read/write speed on Toshiba 3.5" drives on an AT]

I have a Mitsumi drive: This drive has the drive itself and a separate
logic board between the drive and the controller. The Drive logic board
has a jumper to specify whether the drive is to be installed in an
XT or an AT. Check your drive. You may have a wrong jumper setting.
