I haven't ordered from Jameco that often, but the last time (just this
past week) I had similar experiences. My friend who has been a dedicated
Jameco purchaser for quite some time turned me on to them as a good
company. This past time my order had items substituted (that looked like
the right item) ... (ie. a 24-pin machined IC socket instead of a 20-pin
one) ...

My friend, Gil Kloepfer, Jr. (gil@limbic) ordered also a couple of weeks ago,
and his order (which was FAXed in) was clearly marked 2nd day UPS, but
they shipped it Ground UPS (he was charged appropriately, but he wanted
the order quickly, and it took >7 days to arrive via ground). He also
had items like a 40-pin DIL connector where it should have been a 34-pin
one. Quite annoying!
