A few months after I bought my SE (two years ago), the official Apple fan upgrade became available, but for $90 (Can.). I ordered mine (couldn't stand the noise and jitter). I didn't arrive for 4 months (must have been popular), but in the mean time my analog board died and was fixed under warranty. It came with the new fan. As far as I know, that's the only way to get it free. -- Frank Kolnick, consulting for, and therefore expressing opinions independent of, Computer X UUCP: {allegra, linus}!utzoo!mnetor!frank
