Message-ID: <5829@pt.cs.cmu.edu> Date: 11 Aug 89 17:12:50 GMT Organization: Carnegie Mellon University Lines: 15 Does anyone have a timer for lisp, or other general profiling tools? I've recently "inherited" a large body of unfamiliar and inefficient code, and would like to get a quick feel for where the time is being spent. I can hack up something quick and minimal, but if there are good tools out there for this sort of thing, I'd like to know. I'm working in a variant of franz (yeah, I know; it wasn't my decision), so I fully expect to have to modify anything I get from the net. With luck it won't be *that* complicated.... (And I'll probably live to regret those words. :-) ) I'll summarize if I get any responses. Thanks! Monica Cellio mjc@nl.cs.cmu.edu
