While Portland seldom sees days above 100 degrees in the summer, this part of our house (no air conditioning) does tend to get a little warmer than teh main floor (and lots warmer than the basement naturally). I have started wondering how warm my PC can get before it starts to suffer some damage, in particular the media that I will have stored near it. If its god-awful hot, the box simply won't be turned on because I won't be there, but how warm should one let the thing get when it is simply sitting idle? If anyone has any experiences with this sort of thing I'd appreciate hearing about them.
