I believe I followed the instructions in the message that was posted telling how to use the archives, nevertheless, when I try unstuffing the transferred file, it gives me a message about bad headers. I have no trouble with ftp and tops-20 (apparently simtel20's file system) in general. Can anybody help? The details: I'm trying to get the two inigo*.sit files in the hc section. I ftp there, set mode to tenex, then get the files. Once on our local Sun, I start up kermit and transfer them to the mac. For Mac transfer programs I've tried both kermit 9.4 and versaterm 3.10. I have tried all permutations of binary and text mode on sender and reciever. A few permutations error out instead of transferring, however, most transfer a file of the appropriate size but then can't be unstuffed. Stuffit 1.5.1 says the archive is bad, bad headers, salvage what I can. After clicking on that error message another comes up saying unexpected eof. Needless to say, nothing can be extracted. thanks, Margot Flowers Flowers@CS.UCLA.EDU ...!(uunet,rutgers,ucbvax,randvax)!cs.ucla.edu!flowers
