ERROR: user-ID not in password file (cm9) I typed help cm9 and got the following..... "user-ID not in password file" Your current user-ID could not be located in the password file. Contact system support personnel. I am in the password file.......... rose:{9}:grep wyman /etc/passwd wyman:!:1440:10:Wyman Chong:/usr2/wyman:/bin/csh rose:{10}:id uid=1440(wyman) gid=10(staff) I tried the same operation as root and got a core dump. I also tried it on AIX PS/2 and it worked correctly. What am I doing wrong? I am running AIX 2.2.1 with assorted updates. Thanks in advance.
