Most older TRS-80 computers only sent the printer a CR and the printer then
translated it to a CR/LF. PC's, however, send a CR and a LF, so your lines 
will be double spaced. Most of the TRS-80 printers that I know of have an
internal DIP switch that can disable this "feature".
