I came to know about the following (unknown source) and would like to
find out more about these two products.

`There do exist translators from Fortran 8x array syntax to Fortran 77
code which are in general propriety -- for example, the VAST compiler
(used by Alliant as their front-end for the fortran 8x syntax),
PARAPHRASE from the University of Illinois (or a commercial version from
Kuck and Associates).......'.
