The control-key switch goes into the KR3600 keyboard encoder. I suspect it might be loose or defective, or, the cable from the keyboard might be damaged. Possibly the keyboard mapping ROM (not part of the enhancement) has become loose or defective. First use a logic probe to determine if the control-signal is making it to the KR3600... then look at the data coming out of the KR3600 (eg. with an "A" and a control-"A").
