I am working on a 3d project and need to color the "floor" of the
scene with some value. The light source for the scene is same as the viewpoint,
and is located 5 feet above the ground.

What I want to do is paint the floor with accurate shades according
to the distance from the light source. Can anyone throw out an algorithm that
could handle such a case? Thanks in advance.
