If an Even better: Provide a way to extend preferences. The current preferences would be split up into four (serial, printer, pointer, main prefs) seperate programs. Running "Prefs" would get you the main prefs screen. From there you would be able to get to any of the other prefs programs, and vise-versa. The would have to be some mechanism to tell the prefs system about other prefs control programs. This would allow people other than CBM to supply prefs style programs to customize their software, and it would fit in nicely with current way prefs works. Kindof like Suns defaults edit, except that you would need to supply a program to edit the prefs, rather than a convert-to-defaultsedit-style-and-back again programs. Is there any hope that CBM will supply documentation in an online type format?? It would be VERY nice ya know. REAL NAME: Joe Porkka jap@frith.cl.msu.edu
