Message-ID: <615@tijc02.UUCP> Date: 15 Aug 89 17:41:50 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Texas Instr., Johnson City TN Lines: 23 Maybe someone out there has an answer to this simple question. Too bad that the answer isn't going to be as easy as the question :-) Anyone using/know of/seen/believe there exists a package to allow a unix system(not Ultrix!) to communicate via Decnet? Scenario: 386's going to be running SCO 3.2 want to be able to talk Decnet. I know one thing to do is have 3.2 with some tcp/ip software and tcp/ip software on DEC equipment, but this is not what the group I am inquiring for wants to do -- they want 386's to talk decnet so as not to buy more software for DEC equip. The reason I rule out ultrix is that the fact that it can talk decnet is a gimme since it is a dec os. Ok, I cant be picky... ANY unix based system talking decnet. Any input on packages, home brews, or anyone with opinions accepted! Thanks in advance. _____ | | o Calvin Hayden | \_ / ____ Texas Instruments _____| __/__ | Johnson City, TN. \_ / \ VOICE: (615) 461-2254 \ / / _| UUCP: ...mcnc!rti!tijc02!cgh018 \_/--\ \_/ __ / \ | \__\
