I posted my fixes to dired.el to allow vms to use dired, little
knowing that many of you don't seem to have the files vmsproc.el and
vms-patch.el which USED to be kept at tut.cis.ohio-state.edu. They
don't seem to be floating around there (unless they are buried in the
distribution). I can send out these two files as well.

There was also one additional error in the file dired.el I sent out,
the line reading
	(while blis
should read
	(while blist

I'll post vms-patch.el and vmsproc.el on Wednesday unless someone can
tell me where they can be obtained by ftp and so avoid the net
bandwidth. Also, I've assumed in the past that cross-posting
generally doesn't create additional bandwidth or additional files ---
can anyone confirm this (our machine keeps only one file for
cross-postings and reading that article from any of the lists removes
it from the others)?

thanks
roland
