I have a QMS 810 PS printer, based on a Canon Series II engine. If you have
a LJ II or LaserWriter II NT or NTX, your printer uses the same cartridge.

My cartridge is getting to the end of its useful life. I can buy a new cartridge
for about $90 discounted, or a refill for about half that. However, I have
heard that Canon sabotages the Series II cartridges with abrasive filings (?)
so that it is not safe to use a reloaded catridge.

Can anyone on the net comment? Can you recommend suppliers, or warn about
bad experiences?

Has anyone on the net used successfully a do-it-yourself reload? Would you do
it again?
