  If you mean an Apple LaserWriter then all I can think of is the following
  solutions:  There maybe others, but I can't think of them.

  To get gray scale I think you'll have to go to generating the postscript
  code yourself.  That mean's you'll have to learn postscript and translate
  your pixmap to postscript along with the gray-scale directions in the
  postscript program.  Yucky I know, but I can't think of any other way.

  You might try exporting your graphics to an existing program that does
  gray scale.
