SIMMs don't work unless installed in even numbers, if I understand things
correctly.  One 1 meg SIMM would not work alone.  The Mac SE (or any Mac
that ships with just 1 meg RAM) has four 256K SIMMs.

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong ...
