Don't be so negative! As Thad pointed out, we know that things didn't go so smoothly last year; prizes arrived late, they were shipped late, and some haven't reached the winners. Last year's organizers are working on making sure the winners get their prizes sometime soon... Learning from that experience, it's our intention to make this year's contest run smoothly and to have the prizes out within two weeks after the contest. To assure this, we are getting all the prizes before the contest; we already have some in hand. This year's contest is being organized by a committee of four (Grant Tegtmeyer, Lee Taran, Gary Starkweather, and Ali Ozer), with help from various other members of BADGE; if you recall this was the way it was done the first time we held the Killer Demo Contest, two years ago. We all want it to be a success and will do our best to make it so. So do enter, and don't worry about being late. The deadline (Sept 1st) forth allows us enough time to get back to you in case we can't get your demo to run; if we get your demo after the deadline we will still try it out and get back to you if something's wrong, but available time will be short. If the demo gets to us a few days before the contest, it will still get it in, but we might not be able to get in touch with you if something's wrong with it. Currently the contest is scheduled to take place at BADGE's regular monthly meeting, on Sept 21st, 1989. As usual, the audience will judge. The demos will be sent out to Commodore (for distribution to dealers), Fred Fish, and various archives and bulletin boards within two weeks after the contest. If you enter, you might quickly become famous! Ali Ozer
