Message-ID: <8908111411.AA12404@decwrl.dec.com> Date: 11 Aug 89 14:11:46 GMT Organization: Digital Equipment Corporation Lines: 19 Anyone know the secret of invoking the X11 support on a VMS distribution of GNU emacs 18.52. I have a UNIX workstation and a VMS file server running VMS 5.2 and I was, maybe foolishly, hoping that emacs 18.52 running on the VMS file server could open a window on my UNIX workstation so I can bypass the terminal emulator. I defined HAVE_X_WINDOWS and X11 in conf.h but the usual -d and DEFINE DISPLAY "unix::0" doesn't switch in the X support. Any tips would be much appreciated.
