We had an early A2000 do the same thing to us after it sat around working
30-40 hours straight in a relatively warm (30 C) room.  A chip had to be
pulled off the board and replaced...NOT typically a user-servicable part.

I suggest you contact C-A and see if they'll fix it for ya!
