We have several SONYs magneto optical disks attached to SONY News
workstations. We alse have one SONY drive in a MicroVAX II (actually a
MicroVAX II cabinet with VAX3300 CPU :-). There reads in front of the
disk:

Magneto Optical Disk
EDM-1DA1
CAV
512 bytes/sector

Have anybody idea what is a reasonable price for these (or compatible)
disks. What is compatible media type of other manufactures (3M etc.).
Plase reply by mail, I'll summarize if I'll get any information.

I would also be interested to know if Maxtor Tahiti drives are already
available, are they reliable and what does the drive and media cost.
