Laguna Hills Operations. CA Lines: 30 I am trying to set up a postscript printer using papif and papof on a Sun running SunOS 4.0. I have the Cap 5.0 release and set up the printcap entry ps:LaserWriter:A sample LaserWriter printer:\ :lp=/dev/ps:\ :sd=/usr/spool/ps:\ :pl#72:pw#85:\ :sf:\ :lf=/usr/spool/ps-errs:\ :af=/usr/adm/ps.acct:\ :if=/usr/local/cap/ps:\ :of=/usr/local/cap/papof: I set up a link between papif and /usr/local/cap/ps. Then created an empty file /dev/ps (cp /dev/null /dev/ps). When I send jobs to the ps printer they just sit. The lpq -Pps warns that no daemon is present but there are no errors in the log files. Can anyone help. I prefer direct E-Mail.
