A couple of questions. One thing that I could never figure out was why the Amiga 2080 was never promoted. Ficker free? You bet! So I bought one. Silly me. It turns out that there is a "small" technical difficulty with the box... it runs as hot as the devil, and after a critical temperature, I loose the ability to interlace. Somewhat silly, Hmm? A flicker free monitor that can't be used in interlace. My local dealer has said that as soon as Commodore finds out how to economically fix this, they will... free of charge. BUT I WANT IT NOW!!!!!! I _did_ pay $700 for the damn thing. So, questions. 1) what is the progress on the fix? and 2) why not simply stick a small brushless _quiet_ fan on one of the grills? I'm told that this is a purely heat reated problem, and can't even be reproduced without the cover on. I suppose I _could_ buy a fan myself, but something tells me that I should be getting one for free. Pleas reply by email as I am around 800 messages behind in .amiga & .amiga.tech. Thanks, -Andrew.
