Summary: How to configure elm for a UUNET connection? Keywords: elm UUNET pathalias Message-ID: <617@visdc.UUCP> Date: 13 Aug 89 18:22:14 GMT Reply-To: jiii@visdc.UUCP (John E Van Deusen III) Organization: VI Software Development, Boise, Idaho Lines: 16 References: I am trying to bring up elm at my site, and I am a new subscriber to this news group. I currently route all of my electronic mail through UUNET Communications Services. I can hand my current mailer an address of the form uunet!xxx%yyy@zzz or uunet!zzz!yyy, and UUNET takes care of it. The current form of the elm software wants to know where my pathalias file is. This is, of course, something that I am paying good money not to have to maintain. I am asking if anyone has modified the relevant code that accesses PATHALIAS in order to work within the environment that I have described. The ideal situation would be to consult a pathalias file and then send anything not found there off to UUNET. -- John E Van Deusen III, PO Box 9283, Boise, ID 83707, (208) 343-1865 uunet!visdc!jiii
