Me be manager. Remote backups: Is there some way that users can back up to a remote tape drive in an unclustered system? The problem is mounting a remote device. DFS mentions something about "mounting access points" could I use that? I've also considered setting up network objects which mount the tape drive via a com file. Would that work? Remote queues and load balancing: Can a generic queue be used to load-balance batch jobs on several machines? ie send to execution queues based on the load at the remote node on which the execution queue exists? And such...: Info on Cluster VS the trio: DNS, DFS, RSM. Performance, ease of maintenance, pros and cons, etc..
