I'm working on a ps/2 model 80 running xenix 2.3.2, and am having
a problem with the login prompt dropping the 2nd character. The port
is a dialup using a telebit trailblazer running at 19200 baud. For
example, to login as "root", the login: prompt displays only "rot".

Has anyone else experienced this type of behavior?

The problem is not related to line noise, because it can be duplicated
on every dialup attempt.

Thanks for any help.
