Subject: Binary search in non-DBM pathalias file doesn't work

Using a pathalias-compatible list of hosts of the format "hostaddress"
without accessing it with DBM, it comes out that the binary search
doesn't work, dependent of the size of the pathalias file.
One example:

	abc	aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s
	def	aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s

does result in NOT expanding "abc!user" and

	abc	aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s
	def	aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s
	ghj	aaaaaaaa!bbbbbbbb!%s

does result in expanding "abc!user" to "aaa....!user".
Did anybody already have a patch for this (I use Elm 2.2 PL10)?
