I just purchased System software V5.0 and want to be able to backup my hard disk. I would also like to optimize the interleave to take advantage of the new scsi driver with SCSI hacker/timer. I gather from what I've read is that Backup-II (which came with my scsi card) will barf on some of the V5.0 files. QUESTION 1: If this is true, will there be a backup-II update soon? QUESTION 2: If this is true, will I be able to restore all the other files on the disk and just have backup II tell me that it can restore the following files? I could then restore them manually. QUESTION 3: Is there ANY program that will allow me to backup up the hard disk with V5.0 on it? Sorry to be a pain but I's sitting here with V5.0 and dying to put it on my hard disk but am reluctant to do so until I figure out how to back it up. /chris ============================================================================= | Chris Shatara | Internet: shatara@memit.dec.com | | | shatara@memit.enet.dec.com | | Opinions express are | DEC Easynet: memit::shatara | | mine and mine only! | UUCP: ...!decwrl!memit!shatara | =============================================================================
