I made changes in /util/imake.includes/Sun.macros as following: #define OSName SunOS 3.2 #define OSMajorVersion 3 #define OSMinorVersion 2 I followed steps described in ./server/ddx/sun/README(the symlink from X to Xsun, the inclusion of ./bin in path, etc.). There were no error in make and install, except that I deleted the optimization option in the Makefile since that caused 'out of memory' error. When I ran xinit -- -dev /dev/bwtwo0 or xinit -- -mono, (We have a monochrome monitor) I got the error message: giving up. xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server Does anybody have any idea what's wrong with my installation? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Deyang Song.(dsong@ncsa.uiuc.edu)
