Hello:
Can some people help me out, I need to buy a PC for a Thesis project. I will be
doing heavy number crunching (discrete fourier transforms) and other stuff. I
think what I need is a 286 with a hard drive (about 40megs) and VGA graphics
(for the graphics I need to display). A math co-processor is not necassay yet,
probably in the future. I will be doing all the programming in Turbo Pascal or
Turbo C.

I have looked at the IBM PS/2 model 50Z (can get 40% off)
MMG (from a place called HardWarehouse)
and Zenith

What else should I consider. Remember that this is student budget type deal
(going on co-op in three weeks though) Anybody ever dealt with Hardwarehouse or
MMG?

Thanks for any information.

Please send through EMAIL so that flames don't get tossed and stuff on the
net.

Not a pretty site
Thanks
