Thanks to Charlie C. Kim for giving me an answer to my query about a
description of the KIP protocols.  Unfortunately, he did not give me the
answer I wanted to hear.  The only description is the stuff in the doc
directory of the KIP distribution.  I had several other people ask me to
send them copies of the specification if I got it.  Sorry guys, it
doesn't exist. 

Real programmers don't need documentation anyway.  They can figure it
out from the source code :-).  I guess I get to be a real programmer.
