Message-ID: <1422@aucs.UUCP> Date: 2 Dec 88 17:44:00 GMT Organization: School of Computer Science, Acadia Univ., Nova Scotia Lines: 16 We've purchased two different typing tutor programs for the Mac and neither one has worked on our network. The first one, Typing Made Easy, would only work on Mac Pluses and our lab is made up entirely of SEs. The second one we tried, Typing Tutor IV, does not work on a read-only network volume as it tries to update its data fork each time it is run. So, we're still looking. We've heard of one other program called Type by Palintir, but we're not sure about this info. Another source told us of one called MacType by Broderbund, but we're not sure if these are one and the same. Before we waste any more money, can any one recommend a *really* good typing tutor that works on SEs and read-only volumes. Much obliged... -- Peter Steele, Microcomputer Applications Analyst Acadia University, Wolfville, NS, Canada B0P1X0 (902)542-2201x121 UUCP: {uunet|watmath|utai|garfield}!dalcs!aucs!Peter BITNET: Peter@Acadia Internet: Peter%Acadia.BITNET@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU
