Not quite. :-) Jeff pointed out several items, which I've deleted for space reasons. Several had already been fixed since the version he has was issued, and the others have now been fixed and will appear in the next release. If you want to get an update, Jeff, give us a call or drop me a line. > From jls@killer.DALLAS.TX.US (Jerome Schneider) Sun Nov 27 05:38:49 1988 > Subject: Re: MKS BUGS > Message-ID: <6244@killer.DALLAS.TX.US> > > Although I e-mailed this to Gerry Wheeler at MKS, I though I would post > it here (in keeping with the spirit of showing both the good and the bad > sides of the toolkit :->). Here are three more bugs (features?). Jerome's points have also been fixed up, except for the size of inittab. It does have a limit of 1K + 100 bytes, because of the need to keep init as small as possible. In many cases, programs which do not remain resident can be loaded from /etc/rc.ksh instead, which has no size limit. We appreciate these items being pointed out, no matter where, as we do like to keep the Toolkit up to date. However, I think email would have been a better choice for some of this. For one thing, we won't miss reading an email message. And there seems little point in broadcasting to many thousands of people news of bugs that have already been fixed. Our usenet email address is ...!uunet!watmath!mks!toolkit (which is directed to me). We also have addresses on CompuServe and BIX. And my thanks to those who have already replied to these messages. We wanted to be sure we had everything in hand before posting our own reply, so the intermediate replies from others helped fill the gap. -- Gerry Wheeler Phone: (519)884-2251 Mortice Kern Systems Inc.
