Keywords: NETWORK FILE SHARING PC Message-ID: <10676@s.ms.uky.edu> Date: 8 Dec 88 03:27:36 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Division of Purchasing Services Lines: 23 I need some information on how to go about sharing files on 3 (just three) pc's. We will have one model 50 and two model 80's with a 20MB drive on the 50 and 300+ MB drive on each of the 80's. What we need is a way to share data between the two 80's and it would be real nice if we could also share data with the 50'. What would we need to run a little network just in our office? It would be nice if file sharing could be as transparent as possible and it would have to be fast enough to make it comparable to copying say from a floppy to a hard drive if this is possible? We'll be running PC SAS if that will have any affect on the choice of network and file sharing software? I'd like to have some info of what I might need before I contact the vendors:-) Thanks, -- Thomas Kunselman tek@ms.uky.edu {rutgers, uunet}!ukma!tek tek@ukma.bitnet
