The latest IBM-PC/MS-DOS UUPC is available for download at van-bc.UUCP at (604) 939-47{82,56} in the file "interim.arc". Call at 1200 or 2400 baud and use the login name "guest" with the password "guest", then issue the "help" command at the shell prompt for on-line help. Depending on which speed you call in at, you might have to press the return key a few times to get to the login prompt. The 939-4782 number also supports the Telebit TrailBlazer Plus' PEP mode at 9600 baud. The guest login above supports [XYZ]modem, if you would like to call in via UUCP, use the login "nuucp", and password "nuucp", instead. The name of the file in this case is "~/uupc/interim.arc". This interim distribution contains both sources and binaries, and is dated May/88. This version is newer than the official 1.0 distribution posted last summer, and is also the base where the current 2.0 work started from. ...Sam (UUPC release 2.0 co-ordinator) -- Samuel Lam {alberta,watmath,uw-beaver,ubc-vision}!ubc-cs!van-bc!skl
