A friend of mine recently acquired a IBM PC jr with an internal modem.
He would like to use it as a terminal to hookup to the mainframe, but
all programs we have been able to locate (procomm, crosstalk, procomm plus)
do not seem to work with the modem (i don't think it's hayes compatible--
but it is true blue). The computer only has 256k memory so the larger
communications programs won't fit at all.

I've seen a program called jrtele.com that's supposed to be specifically
for the jr, but don't know where to get it. I would appreciate any
info on getting the modem to work with procomm, procomm plus, or
getting software that will run on a pc jr and use the ibm protocols for
the modem.

I did download a modified version of pcplus for the jr from a local bbs,
but it seemed to require 512k and didn't do much for the modem.

Please reply by e-mail since i don't regularly read these news groups.

Thanks for any and all help!!
