Multi users? on an 8088? I wish you luck. OK, I get real tired of this. Disclaimers: I own a Heathkit H/z100 (non PC-DOS MS-dos) machine. I don't like the whole culture that has grown up around the PC, since I remember when a PC was not made by IBM. I have seen an 8088 running 16 users accessing databases with full screen control. Let's not put down the 8088, there's nothing wrong with it that prevents its use as a multi-user machine. MS-DOS, now is a problem. For a counter-example, see the Tandy Color Computer, a 0.9 MHz 6809 running OS/9, multi-tasking, color graphics, etc. For a hell of a lot less then the cost of a PC clone. This machine I have seen running as a 3-user developmert machine, so let's not put down a wimp CPU for the wrong reasons. Marc Lewis
