The praises everyone is | giving is to version 2.0 not 1.2. version 2.0 have Kermit as well as | xmodem and ymodem. ProTERM v2.1 has: ASCII, Christensen, XMODEM Standard, XMODEM DOS 3.3, XMODEM ProDOS, XMODEM CRC, YMODEM, ZMODEM, Transit, and Kermit. I believe 2.0 has all of the above except for ZMODEM. | For a few bucks more, I'm sure you can get an up- | grade to the 2.0 version or even the current one which is 2.1 I think. Correct. As I understand it, 2.1 has been available for about 2 weeks now. | Not too much difference between 2.0 and 2.1 I understand. Version 1.2 | was a plain vanilla program and not that much of a program to write home | about. True, but 2.1 adds: Buffered/Unbufferd (split-screen) Chat, improved VT- 100 and other terminal emulation, mah bug fixes, ZMODEM, and some other features which I can't think of off-hand. One note though, 2.0 and 2.1 both require a 65C02 chip (ie. Enhanced IIe, IIc, IIc Plus, or IIGS). |--------------------------( Carl Boernecke )-------------------------| Send | UUCP: crash!pro-avalon!carlb InterNet: carlb@pro-avalon.cts.com | E-Mail | ARPA: crash!pro-avalon!carlb@nosc.mil ProLine: carlb@pro-avalon | to --> | ProLine [pro-avalon] - (619) 271-0131 - 300-2400 bps - 24 hours | |---------------------------------------------------------------------|
