There is a problem in A/UX 1.0 where ftp is suid root.  Yes I know this is a
major security hole.  I would suggest that everyone running A/UX 1.0 check 
their ftp permissions and change them to 755 instead of 4755.  This will
correct your problem with files being owned by root after you ftp them and will
also correct a security hole present in 1.0.
