I am looking for ideas and information about making hardcopy directly
from the X protocol stream. It seems cumbersome to convert X window
protocol data into pen plotter FORTRAN subroutine calls in order to get
hardcopy. It seems natural that a hardcopy device such as a large color
raster plotter could be used as another DISPLAY server. Does anyone
have any pointers to such a server or work being done in this area?
