I have been reading this group for a few months, and it firmly convinced me to purchase an Amiga. The help from CATS, DOGS, GOATS and HOGS is really appreciated. I'm the proud father of a bouncing 2000 (KS 1.3)! I do have some questions: 1) I plan on purchasing an A2090a SCSI and installing a Rodime R05180 drive. This is a beastie with: 7 heads, 1218 cylinders (1223 total), internal bad sector logging, 10 Mhz (maybe 12MHz), 18msec (maybe 12msec), 5 1/4" disk, 180MB disk. Does anyone have any experience with Rodime 5 1/4" drives? Do you see any problems with this setup? 2) In an unrelated note, has anyone ported Gnu Emacs yet? Is there an ftp site that I can grab it from? 3) I got Digi-view for some fun. I didn't want to spend $22.00 on their gender bender, so I just hooked up a normal cable gender bender (to convert from A500 to A2000). Does anyone know it you can use this with output from a VCR (RCA output) or do you really need the camera (I tried, but all I get is "video signal not present"). Thanks in advance. Oh, email may (depending on your server) have to be addressed to: carpent@altura.honeywell.com Disclaimer? I didn't say anything! I wasn't even there! No! Don't take me awwaayyy! Mom!
