The Mac II has 8 slots for memory, and a 1-Meg Mac II comes with quarter-meg SIMMS in 4 of those slots. You can put quarter-meg SIMMS in the other 4 slots for a total of 2 Megs of memory. Oh, yeah. I have the 4 original quarter-meg SIMMS that came in my SE (compatible with either SE or Mac II), in case anyone's interested :-)
