I am running a VAX 11/750 under Ultrix 2.2 and I have been experiencing
problems when sending messages over 1k bytes to other Ultrix nodes
at remote sites.

I get timeout problems when using sendmail, ftp, or rcp. I have no
problem sending short messages (about 500 bytes), and I can rlogin with
no problem.

Faster machines at our site have no problems sending large files
(over 10K) to remote nodes so I believe this may be due to the speed
of our cpu.

I can also use DECnet protocol to get to the remote Ultrix machines and
I have no problem sending large files via DECnet mail (mail11) and
dcp, so I think this is a TCP problem.

Any clues????
