Flames, if unavoidable, via e-mail, please] Okay, I'll keep this as brief as possible. Maxx (the system I'm using to enter this message) is getting turned into something else. I need to sell my present system to help finance my future investment, and you get to help. One catch: it all has to go in one shot. I need to use it until the day it's packed & shipped. The manufacturer, MDS, is based in Utah and sold me this machine a little over a year ago. It was one of the first 20MHz systems out, and it really is VERY fast. I've been running '386 Xenix on it (a fair burn-in, eh?) doing development & news and have had 0 failures, 0 downtime. Nice, solid system. Here's the scoop: MDS 20MHz 80386 CPU in full-size ("AT") case 2MB 80ns static-column RAM 2 serial, 1 parallel ports 1.2MB 5.25" floppy drive Combo fd/hd controller 70MB/28ms Miniscribe hard drive (full height) 40MB/40ms Seagate hard drive (half height) Irwin 40MB streaming tape drive (optional--I might keep it) ROM BIOS "shadow-RAM" for faster I/O in DOS (Xenix gets full 2MB) Software speed shift and LIM/EMS memory emulation (DOS software) I've been running both Xenix and MS-DOS on this system (that's why the two hard drives) and have seen no incompatibilites in either environment. I'm hesitant to print a price because it tends to prevent people from making offers. So, please: ask questions, make an offer. Use either of my e-mail addresses below.
