Well, you can go for the bad to the excellent.

On the bad (but small and easy) side is the "starting forth" forth block
editor.  It is line oriented, reasonably transportable, uses blocks, and
is in the back of Starting Forth by Brodie.  On the other end, F-PC 2.15
for the ibm pc comes with a very nice full screen editor written in forth.
This is probably a beast to move to another forth system.
