Right now, Workbench is trying to copy six drawers off the hard disk onto a disk that developed a media error in the midst of copying. Workbench insists upon grinding away my disk drive trying to copy every one of the files in every one of the drawers onto a media defect, and the only thing I can do about it listen to the noise and click "Cancel" once every three seconds for the next twenty minutes. Because I have other tasks running (like this DNet window), I can't take the other option, which is to reboot the machine. --M -- Michael Portuesi / Information Technology Center / Carnegie Mellon University INET: mp1u+@andrew.cmu.edu / BITNET: mp1u+%andrew.cmu.edu@cmccvb UUCP: ...harvard!andrew.cmu.edu!mp1u+ "I'm very sorry, Master, but that WAS the backup system" -- Slave
