Newsgroups: comp.sys.mac Much of the work I conduct on the mac depends upon statistical analysis, althought this seems to be one area where the mac is particularly weak. I have heard that the company which either created or distributes Statview (dont youlove sell-outs) has created a package called StatView GLM. I think this is BrainPower or something like that. THe Staview SE+Graphics is supposed to be simply StatView 512+ with better graphics--sounds like a marketing ploy. On the other hand, StatView GLM is supposed to be a stats package based on the Gneral Linear Model (ergo, GLM). This sounds pretty interesting. Does anybody know whether this package (GLM) is available? With all the incredible programs for the Mac, why doesn't somebody create a decent statistics package (there are over 200 packages available for DOS, about 10 for the Mac !!!!). -- ************************************************************************ heath@gpu.utcs.edu or psyc.utoronto.edu!heath No disclaimer since nobody really cares what I think ************************************************************************
