Well, I don't know about the Italians, but you don't find anyone
objecting to Russian jokes because :
     
   a) They're true
   b) Humor is a capital crime in Russia, hence "jokes" are not
         defined in their system
   c) Crying is a heinous crime in Russia (second only to humor)
   d) There aren't too many Russians on the net
