GROK is term from Stranger in a Strange Land. It means (loosely) to fully
and completely understand. The usage described in the post suggests a
programmer with a (misplaced?) sense of humor. This kind of message is on
the same level as naming a node The_Shire (Tolkien - Lord of the Ring) and
such.

I always worry a little when I run across "cute" messages/names in stuff I
spent money to obtain!
