   Re: modem via joyport
Summary: Thanx, now can anybody help me ...

Gil Kloepfer stated that a program called
"Rhandler" exists and is a driver using device name "R:"
to perform serial I/O via the joyports on Atari 800 etc.
I am trying to locate this program or anything similar so
that I can connect a modem thru the joyport. Is this program
public domain and if so does anyone have a copy of the
   thing? Thanks in advance.

Also, thank you, Gil for your clue.
Charles Green also suggested a way to do this via the SIO port without
extra hardware but I prefer to do a little soldering if it lets me use
an existing driver and thus avoid writing a lot of code which I am
not set up to do at the moment.
