Okay, I guess this is a valid reponse.  I hereby retreat from my original
posting.  I'm not sure about the ONLY, but the point you make is valid.

Many of the programs I have that I run under 1.1 are from the public domain.
Such support and upgrade is not always available.  Confused?  Always, but     
that's irrelevant here.
