Title: Internetworking with TCP/IP: Principles, Protocols and Architecture Author: Douglas Comer Pulisher: Prentice, Hall, Engelwood Cliffs, NJ. 1988 I am about halfway through this book. It doesn't go into details of implementing lans, ethernets, etc. It does go into the TCP/IP protocol suite in reasonable detail. There are many diagrams and it is clearly written. I recommend it highly. There is also a book out on configuring ethernets. I don't recall the publisher but the author is Bill Hancock. I have not read the book so I can not vouch for its quality but Bill Hancock lectures regularly at U.S. Decus symposia and he is both informative and entertaining. > ******************************************************************************* > | Debbie Morley Computer-Aided-Engineering D.Morley@Cambridge.NCR.COM | > | NCR Corp Cambridge, OH 43725 VOICEplus 621-1328 (614) 439-0328 | > ******************************************************************************* Tony:: (VMS Systems, CCIS, Rutgers University) =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Bitnet: MIONE@ZODIAC.BITNET Arpa: MIONE@ZODIAC.RUTGERS.EDU, mione@topaz.rutgers.edu ______________________________________________________________________ @begin(disclaimer) Rutgers should not be held responsible for anything I say.
