Emacs is an operating system. I hope that clears things up. :-> Except it isn't, it's only the user interface :-). The nice thing about this is that as far as the user (me) is concerned it doesn't (or at least shouldn't) matter what O/S is under the user interface. I.e. the user interface, in many respects, is MORE IMPORTANT than the Operating System for most users.
