regarding Hayes command set, does anybody know of/can direct me to either
of the following, preferrably in the public domain, here on the nets if
possible:

1. I COMPREHENSIVE (i.e. complete) listing of the hayes command set,
status registers (settings, meanings), and result codes

2. A test suite (i.e. one or more programs) that test modems for
the aforementions hayes compatibility features and report the
exceptions. I realize that some of the features have EXTERNAL
effect, not internal, and can only be verified by test equipment
and observation, but some is detectable and other could perhaps
be measured either by a loop back or by another monitoring (and
     logically synchronized) system.
