I guess what I have been made to understand what a streaming protocol is, is
incorrect. Please explain.  (you can leave the 'sheesh' out if you'd like). 
You will note in my original message something to the effect that I was not
talking about Y-MODEM G and if it's the only available 'streaming' protocol
and it is no faster than plain old XMODEM, then so be it.  I apologize.

On an almost related note (since I don't know what a 'streaming' protocol
is) I had the opportunity to do a 1k XMODEM d/l via PC pursuit on a system
that told me how long a transfer would take before it started.  Using plain
old XMODEM (system informed me it would be a 13 minute transfer) it was a
little over 26 minutes.  A little more than twice as long as it was supposed
to take.  Using 1k XMODEM (another file also tagged as a 13 minute transfer
time) it was just over 14 minutes.  A significant increase in speed and far
higher than my earlier 'estimation'.

Flame suit is NOT on, please keep the heat turned down in here because my air
conditioner is broken.
