I recall a discussion a few months ago relating to the X Toolkit
and performance. As I recall Joel McCormick stated that DEC had
tweaked certain routines, specifically that they would hash the
shared GC's. The R3 beta code does not appear to have this feature--it
still does a linear search. Was this code written and, if so, will
it be given to MIT?

Also, a month ago, Joel stated that he had made certain
enhancements to the xrm code to speed up toolkit start-up times.
Was (or will) this be given to MIT ?
