I seem to have a problem with the lineprinter spooler on the above
system. My primary question is whether lpsched is supposed to spawn
a copy of itself to print.

On all my previous systems, I never noticed a copy of lpsched spawned
by the original daemon when print jobs were run.

What is normal operation?

I'll leave this posting with just that query and perhaps some
ideas will come from the replies.
