Why do we, in fact, have rhythm?" Most of us have, but... My wife taught music to young schoolchildren and found an occasional exception. We know one rhythm-deaf adult too, unable to keep a beat, or to distinguish a regular one from a slightly irregular one. I estimate between 1/50 and 1/200 of people have this condition.
