I've run across a problem with the recent posting of Uncle. Using make,
I wind up executing the following:

		link &< file

The problem is that Uncle seems to cause double carriage returns (or carriage
returns and linefeeds? It's hard to isolate.) between each of the lines in
the input file. As a side effect, all of the lines in file wind up in my
history, which is annoying but not critical. What IS critical is that I
can't use that makefile with Uncle. I haven't tried others, but I suspect
that it'll happen everywhere.

Is there a workaround for this, or is it something I'm stuck with until the
next release?
