(power supply problems) Message-ID: <279@aeras.UUCP> Date: 20 Sep 88 21:38:10 GMT Organization: Arete Systems Inc., San Jose, Ca Lines: 18 I'd like to thank those of you who sent me Email about my ailing SE. I pulled out the power supply last night and checked the outputs with a voltmeter. The 2 +12V lines and the 5V line were about 14 and 6 volts respectively while the -12V line was only about -8V. So, do I buy another power supply or maybe try a "lab" supply to see if something else might be wrong? BTW, what is the -12V used for? The power supply label says that the 2 +12V lines are for the disk and sweep. I assume the +5V line runs the silicon. -edc-
