Lines: 12 My thanks to Jim Rosenberg and others for their illuminating and entertaining explanations of protected mode, farkling CMOS bits, and writing to the keyboard. No wonder I'm flummoxed. I know the 6300+ can run UNIX with OS/Merge, and UNIX operates in protected mode. But I haven't used that software because I have insufficient disk to repose both UNIX and DOS operating systems and applications. I await a workable solution. --Barry Kort
