I can't get GNU-emacs 18.51 to understand that Kermit 2.31 can handle charcter insertion and deletion. When I insert a character at the beginning of the line it redraws the whole line. (at 1200/2400 baud this is a real pain). I tried writing a termcap as follows: da|msk231|mskermit2.31:\ :ae=4\E(B:\ :as=2\E(<:\ :tc=vt100p: which I though should provide vt100 functionality with the extension of character insertion and deletion (actually I stole this from someone I don't really understand how to write termcaps) but it seems emacs ignores the termcap and tries to figure things out itself. Any ideas?
