We're running a network of Sun 386i and Mac II machines in support
of the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. One of the
course requires the use of drawing programs on both the Mac and the
Sun. We would like to allow the students to transfer files between
the two machines and import them from one program into the other.
The file transfer is taken care of by the format conversion is a
define problem. We're running LaserPaint on the Mac IIs and Artisan
on the Suns. Ideally, we'd like to be able to take PICT format files
from the Mac and change them into ART (Artisan Raster Template) files.
If anyone has done this and can share the method we'd be eternally
grateful. We'd also like to be able to change either ART of PICT format
files into Sun raster files but that is hardly as pressing. Any leads
at all would be most welcome. Mail, post, or call. Thanks, in advance.
