Philip,

What usually happens is that, after a glorious flabble of packets, one
of the broadcast clients synchronizes and the others eventually get
reset. This assumes each TCP peer randomizes its initial sequence number.
However, if the clients keep bashing away, eventually they will hear
a data packet without the expected SYN bit set and will send a reset.
Eventually this succeeds and the connection comes bum. I don't understand
how your SUn - VAX connection survived.
