The drive comes with a Western Digit WDXT-GEN controller with no manual. The drive is not low-level formated. Could any one tell me the details on running the format program on the controller? Since the ST-251 is 'nonstandard' to my PC-XT compatible. I need to dynamically configure the disk parameters: number of cylns, number of heads, precomp cylns, ... etc. According to the manual of the ST-251, this drive does not need current precompensation. What should I typed in when asked about precomp cylns, reduced write current cylns, etc? Thanks in advance! ============================================= Cheng-Lee Nee Phone: US mail: 513-878-9400 208 B South Huron Ct. Fairborn, OH 45324 =============================================
