This error occurs when the space for logging maintenance  information is
full.  Your disk probably is probably fine and still has lots of spares,
but the drive on occassion cannot log special  maintenance  information.
I think the service rep is most appropriate - using a special program
(CS/80 exerciser) they can clear the logs with no ill effect to your
data.
