Of course, the 13" color HP monitor I use to use (that also had a Sony tube in it) had the line in the same place, and *that* was manufactured in 1985. I guess they figured those HI guys at Apple were so bright, that they should change the production of ALL the monitors they produced, even before Apple asked for the change (I know, they use the Cray for time travel :-).
