I am completely new to this newsgroup and know NOTHING about TCP-IP other
than it is a protocol used to communicate between different UNIX systems
typically over Ethernet. The group I'mm in just aquired a CTIX mini-mainframe
running UNIX with WEST-coast TCP-IP software. We are located in Raleigh, NC
and need the East Coast version. Supposedly the company or someone is getting
this for us....but that was a month ago. Do public domain versions exist of
this software for our Convergent Technologies system...or where could I
 purchase such a package?

Also a clarification of WHAT TCP-IP is would be nice.

                           Thanks in advance Mike
