Message-ID: <1287@gazette.bcm.tmc.edu> Date: 25 Sep 88 00:59:28 GMT Sender: usenet@bcm.tmc.edu Distribution: na Lines: 22 Approved: masscomp@soma.neuro.bcm.tmc.edu Hola. For all you X types, can someone tell me the difference between X 11, X 11.2, and X prerelease? I understand that X 11.2 (following X 11.1 and X 11.0?) is now available. But my Masscomp salesman tells me X 11 is _not_ available in official form, only as a prerelease of questionable quality. Is this true? Is MIT still holding onto X 11 officially while meanwhile letting go various versions? Does Masscomp's version of X (the toolkit is not available, by the way) correspond officially to X 11.0, X 11.1, or X 11.2? If anyone can sort this out, I would sure appreciate it. -- Alan ..!{ames,cit-vax}!elroy!alan alan@elroy.jpl.nasa.gov [I understand that X-11 is REALEASED, not pre-released right now. I don't know much more details than this. The current release runs on the GA-1000 and the GA-600, but not the GA-800. If anyone has additional comments, please forward them. -- sob] The MASSCOMP USERS' SOCIETY newsgroup is comp.sys.masscomp.
