As I recall, this whole affair began with someone posting an

	"I've been trying to cancel my BYTE subscription
	for about six weeks now, to no avail!  Has anybody 
	else run into this problem?"

article, which had several followups which seemed to confirm the
ineptitude of the new management.

That was, what?  Three months ago?  Maybe the cancellation department
is getting better with practice.   :-)
