I built it for the IBM RT running 4.3+X11R2 and it works perfectly. Changing the config file to s-sunos4 and m-sun3, keeping X11R2 enabled produces an emacs which runs with the -nw switch, but keeps giving the error nebula(168)% /usr/local/bin/emacs-18.52 Warning: lisp library (/usr/yale/lib/emacs) does not exist. X server not responding. Check your DISPLAY environment variable. Running xterm, however, produces a window on my screen, so the problem is not in my X configuration. So, are there any changes I need to make to emacs to get it to use X correctly under Sunos4? Also, I built 18-51 under sunos4 and it worked correctly after applying some patches from the net. Are those patches still needed? Thanks a bunch. --Peter ------------------------------------------ -------------------------------- Peter Baer Galvin (203)432-1254 Senior Systems Programmer, Yale Univ.
