I have to 2 requests. We've just finished upgrading our version of
GNUemacs to 18.52. However during the upgrade, we weren't able to apply
the diffs to the file sun-mouse-fns.el. Part of the problem was due to
the fact that we no longer had the .el file. It seemed to have been overwritten
with the byte-compiled version. The diffs consisted of renaming that file
sun-fns.el. Can someone out there send me the file sun-fns.el?
My second request is for an explanation of what byte-compilation means.
