  Another related problem was that the scroll bar would always be drawn
highlighted (with the thumb at the bottom) in a 'View by Name' window,
even if all files fit well within the bounds of the window!

  This has been fixed in the System 6.0.1 release (although I don't
know about 6.0.2 :-) ), and appeared to be only a "cosmetic" bug.
