I think Dave Beckemeyer has an excelent idea about the TPA - and there are
a few "undefined" words in the header portion of the executable image.
All it would take is for Atari to say "This word is the number of 4K bloks
for the TPA", or "This longword is the size of the TPA". Have the current
value of zero for these unused locations default to a system setting like
RTX does, and I have some C code that could set the value of these which
I could have for anyone in 5 minutes. So could anyone else - just a simple
get value and write word into header.
BUT THIS REQUIRES ATARI TO SET THE STANDARD. Alternately a symbol could
be defined in that area of the executable, but I think there would be support
from the developers to have Atari define a new header byte.
