I have a (Network Specialties) large screen attached to my SE, and like to keep frequently used programs on the desktop, on the SE's internal screen. Occasionally, I have to boot without the big screen. Previous finders moved all those icons on to the (now smaller) desktop, and saved their new positions. The next time I booted with the large screen on, I had to move the icons back to their old positions. The new finder seems not to do this; undisplayable icons get moved to into view, but the positions are not saved, and return to normal when I turn the large screen back on. Has anyone else noticed this? -- Steve Dorner, U of Illinois Computing Services Office Internet: dorner@uxc.cso.uiuc.edu UUCP: {convex, uunet}!uiucuxc!dorner IfUMust: (217) 244-2765
