According to an old article in popular science, a funny thing happened
when somebody designed a new type of handle for the common wheelbarrow.
(The wheelbarrow, as you know, has been in use for centuries.) The
patent application was for "Handle for wheelbarrow". When the patent
was granted, the inventor was amazed--and gratified--to find that
he had a patent for "Wheelbarrow and handle thereof".
