System 6.0 does not offer background printing for the Imagewriter. Makes me wonder about future Apple support for non-laser printers. I guess the priority was on getting laser-writer spooling since Macs are moving into the corporate world these days, but considering the speed difference between lasers and dot matrix printers, spooling seems more necessary on the latter. I had two spoolers that used to work until I got multifinder: Superspool and Maxprint. Anyone know the story? Do either of these have multifinder compatible versions? Are there any good PD or SW spoolers that work under multifinder? While I'm on the subject, there used to be a nice DA called savior which did auto-saves at user set time intervals in any application. It also doesn't work under MF. Anyone know of an update, or a similar program that does work under MF? -- David Rudolph before 8/12: CSnet: rudolph%isc.intel.com after 8/12: Arpa: rudolph@m.cs.uiuc.edu
