John Townsend of Atari in responding to reports of incompatibility between
the proline joystick and the ST says:
> Please, let's get the facts right here. The Proline joystick is made by
> Atari, however it is designed exclusively for use on the 7800 ProSystem.
> The extra joystick lines are used for a second trigger button and will

***** FLAME ON *****

Yes John, lets get the facts right here. Please read the fine print on the
top of the box the Proline Joystick come in. I did that this weekend. It
says "Works with Atari 2600, 7800, Sears Game, Commodore 64 and all
Atari Computers".

***** FLAME OFF *****

Hey I love my Atari ST computer, but Tramiel and friends have NEVER been
known for reliable information. Remember the promised upgrade for the VIC-20
to make it like a C=64? How about the promised bundling of TWIN, a 1-2-3
clone with the ST. How about the promised bundling of Ready-Set-Go with
the Atari Laser? Blitters for old STs, Hah. And the famous vapor CD-ROM.
