Message-ID: <1691@spdcc.COM> Date: 18 Aug 88 11:54:39 GMT Reply-To: eli@spdcc.UUCP (Steve Elias) Organization: Irwin Feerst for Vice President headquarters Lines: 15 hi folks! thanks again for all the help with the kermit->procomm problem. my latest program must do serial input & output on a PC... i'm using Turbo C. it has the handy device 'stdaux'. my program hangs up immediately when i make the first IO call to stdaux -- DOS error "error writing to COM1: abort, retry, get a new os ?" -- you know the error message i mean, hopefully. my solution is a bit nonstandard and i'd like to find out why DOS doesn't like my attempts to read & write the serial port. my program works fine when i run it under DRI Concurrent DOS (a real OS, by the way!). so what is DOS complaining about??? (we know what i'm complaining about!) thanks in "advance, retry, ignore"...
