I did some double checking with the same results. Slot 5 disconnected.
The program that I am refering to was included on a disk containing some
PD software distributed by APPLE. The file is shown as FREEWRITER in the
catalog. However, when booted, the menu says FReDWriter. This is an old version
but I recently ordered the newest version directly from Hands-On-Training. Are
we talking about the same program? The new docs tend to refer to the program
as FREEWRITER or FReDWRITER interchangably. I booted into DAVEX and ran the
FREEWRITER/FReDWRITER program with the same results. I cannot access slot 5
by referring to either .51 in DAVEX, or to the prefix of the disk in the drive
in either DAVEX or KERMIT.
Copy //+ doesn't show slot 5 as disconnect but give a NO DISK IN DRIVE message
even though there is a disk present.
I have an Apple //C with an Apple undisk 3.5 attached. Any ideas?
