We are currently using Aegis, version 9.7, as our default operating system. We are debating wether to go to SR10. We will be changing our default operating system to SYS5 UNIX in the near future, so that we can communicate with the other systems within our company. We have 86 nodes, and over 500 users. Very few of our users have ever used UNIX or UNIX mail (we are currently using DPSS mail). We presently have a committee trying to find an office automation package that will work on our network. Rather than re-invent the wheel, we would like to learn from those of you that have already been through this. 1. Does anyone know of a good office automation package that has been ported to an Apollo System ? We are looking for one that has word processing, calendaring, spread sheet, graphic capabilities, electronic mail, and a database manager. 2. We are trying to get UNIX readnews (rn) to work on our system, but so far have been unsuccessful. Any help would be appreciated. 3. Has anyone written a shell script that will convert DPSS mail to to UNIX mail format. I have written one that works, but it is kind of archaic. Thanks Bud Odekirk 415 823-1379
