Summary: why me?? Message-ID: <593@agsm.unsw.oz> Date: 10 Aug 88 06:44:16 GMT Organization: Australian Graduate School of Management Lines: 17 i have 2 apollo dn3000 and 1 dn4000 all with aegis 9.7.0.3 the environments is sys5 now... some i my users can alter their passwords successfully using the unix "passwd" command. some cannot?!? why? who knows?? the same is true of the aegis command "chpass" and the login using the "-p" option. this is MORE odd, as when the password is changed (using passwd or chpass), the "su - user" command works well BUT.... logging off totally, then attempt to login, gives the error message "Invalid attempt to login". this is a reproducable error on my system. ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP? replies to nick:agsm:munnari.oz nick
