I have the following system that I use all of the time: Un-enhanced (but I may get the 65C02, but not the full enhancment kit) Apple IIe, 128 K, 2 floppies, Grappler+ with Epson FX-80, Apple Super Serial Card, and a Packard Bell PB2400plus 2400 baud, Hayes Smartmodem 2400 compatible modem. OK, now for the questions: 1. I have to have good VT100 term emulation. I use the TPU editor in VMS, and I may be using vi in UNIX soon. I would like full keypad emulation with arrow and escape keys that work correctly. What program(s) supports this? 2. File transfers must be compatible with Kermit as our local VAX 11-780 and the lan do not like to use Xmodem. Lots of options for file transfering would be neat, but I don't use them that much. What are my options with various term programs? 3. Does Z-link, or ATP, work with an un-enhanced IIe? I am thinking about getting ProTerm, which does not require the full enhancement, just the 65C02. (This is directly from one of Proterms techs) 4. What about Kermit? I have a version that is rather old and I can't even figure out how to make it dial on my modem. I am very familiar with MS-Kermit, so I am use to the enviroment, but I know that the MS-Kermit doesn't even do great Vt-100, so I don't see how anyone could like it's emulation on an Apple. I know that these are probably the same questions that everyone else has been asking, but I have a friend who swears by Proterm, so I am wondering about all of the questions rasied about it by various people, and I would like to know more about where and what these Z-link and ATP programs are. Thanks in advance.... Mark Thacker Mark@UNTVAX.Bitnet (or, if that doesn't work, MARK@NTSUVAXB.BITNET) (sorry, haven't figured out the address on internet, or arpanet.)
