Try using the Intersect Ram Disk software (if it is available to you).
It is also a desk accesory, but will allow you to remove your ram-disk
if needed. I, so far, have never seemed to loose memory when when
removing one. The newest version also lets you set up an INTRAM.INF file
which will automatically create a ramdisk for you on bootup. Otherwise
(if no *.INF file is found) you can size and create your ramdisk whenever
you need to, by clicking on the accesory.
