I saw enough using 9-pin emulation on my 24-pin Fujitsu printer to conclude that I would LOVE to have a version of DDII that could use the full 24-pin resolution!!! As it is, the character height is a bit off, so pagination doesn't work right, and of course the resolution isn't quite as good as the inherent resolution in the 24-pin printer's internal Letter Quality font. Maybe what I should really be asking is if anyone has a font editor for 24-pin printers like the Fujitsu or the Epson LQ-1500/2500? The two-pass printing probably isn't really needed, as the logic of the 24-pin printers accomplishes much the same thing in one pass using the finer pin spacing instead of carriage motions. Then again, I'm probably the only kid on my block with a 24-pin printer on a $70 computer... -John Sangster / jhs@mitre-bedford.arpa
