A while ago, I wrote asking for help in stripping the system (4.1) of
resources that, for a Mac+, are not needed. This was taken from an article
in the Sept. '87, Mackey, re-printed from Mouse Tracks, Portland user Group,
by Ken Peterson. Specifically mentioned are

Type	ID	Size Why Comments
____	__	____	__________	______________________
cicn	31	906	MacII only	special MacII Icon
DRVR 9	3282	in ROM .MPP Appletalk driver
DRVR	10	2404	in ROM .ATP AppleTalk driver
PACK	4	4536	in ROM Floating-point math
PACK	5	4190	in ROM Transcendental math
PACK	12	9792	Mac II only	Color Picker
PTCH	105	5696	128/512 only	Patch for 64K Roms
PTCH	630	12958	SE only Patch for II Rom
PTCH	376	12004	MAC II only	Patch for II Rom
snd	all	21471	MAC II only	startup sounds
SNTH	all	7380	Mac II only	sound synthesizer
WDEF	0	2142	in ROM Default window definition

This amounts to about 85K that can be eliminated. A pared down system file
on a Mac+ would be highly desirable for any number of reasons.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
? Could some one confirm these are the correct ones, or otherwise respond ?
? in some way on how to strip the system file on a Mac+ to only what is ?
? needed on the Mac+ ?
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
