I have been playing around with my first postscript printer and would
like to switch between the HP LaserJet Plus emulation mode and batch
mode on the fly.

Switching to interactive mode is done with the command 'executive'.
(A postscript procedure/program/file???) (It appears to be similar
to the Unix concept of a shell.)

Does anyone know what the emulator is called? Is there anyway to
list the contents of a dictionary?

I have the Red and Blue PostScript books (reference and cookbook/tutorial)
will the programming manual help?

If one wishes to use the coordinate system transformations
available in postscript must they be invoked before the emulator?

Is it possible to get the printer into state where it is permanently
stuck?

Thanks,
cj
