Message-ID: <2170@pt.cs.cmu.edu> Date: 5 Jul 88 22:44:10 GMT Sender: netnews@pt.cs.cmu.edu Organization: Carnegie-Mellon University, CS/RI Lines: 21 This is the game (by Accolade I think) where you fly a B-24 and try to reduce the German oil production at Ploeste. It's more of a simulation kind of thing, and not a 3-d real-time shoot-em-up. Just wondering if anyone out there had actually played this and what they thought of it. I'm considering getting it for my father, who actually flew these things. [His best story involves hitting a brewery by mistake (his excuse being that smokestacks look pretty much the same from high enough altitudes), but I'm not sure whether I should believe him or not. After all, he was the pilot, not the bombardier, and I can't imagine he'd be flying low enough to see beer foam running through the streets, as he claims.] Is it worth the $30 or so that the local B. Dalton's wants for it? -- - Ralph W. Hyre, Jr. Internet: ralphw@ius2.cs.cmu.edu Phone:(412)268-{2847,3275} CMU-{BUGS,DARK} Amateur Packet Radio: N3FGW@W2XO, or c/o W3VC, CMU Radio Club, Pittsburgh, PA
