You haven't missed anything; it can't be done. I have seen all sorts of
wierd and wonderful DCL procedures that attempt to access tape drives
using DECnet, but they all have problems of one sort or another. You
will have to wait for V5.?? (not V5.0) for DEC to put support for
tape devices in the MSCP server.
