I have a project for a programming class that involves porting an
existing application to run under X Windows on a DEC MicroVax 2000.
The project is due in six weeks, and I haven't worked with X much.
Unfortunatly, all the directories that should have docs/code on X
have been cleaned out. From the sample source code I've seen here
for X11, I'd guess that what I need to do is pretty trivial.

Can anyone recommend a book, or a file located somewhere that would
serve as a good introduction? Better yet, does anyone have anonymous
ftp access setup for the source code that (I assume) is usually
included with the X distribution? Please e-mail your response, and
I will summarize to the group.

Thanks.
Chris.
