I'd like to know if NETLIB@LAKESYS.UUCP is reachable from BITNET. The
recently posted directory listing contained a number of interesting files that
aren't available on BITNET (at least, not to me :-). I sent a number of mail
files following the directions in the directory postings. I received: nothing,
i.e. no mailer error messages. I suspect there is a problem with the return
path. Has anyone on BITNET managed to get NETLIB to answer ?

Also, I could not get mail to George Woodside, the author of TURTLE. I used
addresses like woodside@ttidca.UUCP-USA or the path his postings have
(pyramid!prls!philabs!ttidca!woodside@decwrl.dec.com), but nothing worked.

George, if you are reading this:

I noticed that you said the newest TURTLE version to be 2.18. I wasn't able
to find that version on any of the servers available in BITNET. Could you
tell me if 2.18 exists on a server on BITNET ? Alternatively, could you please e
mail me a copy directly, if it's not too much trouble ? I want to retry using
TURTLE on my Mega4 and I want to be sure to start off with the newest version.

Thanks for any and all help.
