Newsgroups: comp.os.vms Subject: Thoughts On Non-Disclosure Statements For DEC Courses... Message-ID: <8807112055.AA27948@linc.cis.upenn.edu> Date: 11 Jul 88 20:57:00 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The Internet Lines: 23 The following question has been asked about the new courses for VMS. > "Certain courses contain proprietary information (courses are indicated > with a "*" on the grids). Nondisclosure agreements are required for these. > Contact your local Training Center registrar for details." > The internals and device driver courses have the "*". Part of this may be due in part to the procedures going on by DEC to protect the investment in software for CI/NI based clusters, by copyright/patent protection. As such, certain information has to remain restricted during the process, in order to prove 'exclusivity and/or non-public domain' for the products being covered. I decline to speculate after the process is complete as to the future requirement for non-disclosure in order to take certain courses. pdc Paul D.
