Here is the problem. On every other computer I use (the Standard-286 from PC Source, the HP Vectra ES/12, and the NEC Multispeed), you can select blocks of text using the SHIFT-combinations. E.g., Shift-End will block the text from where the cursor is to the end of the line, Shift-rightarrow will block from the current position to the character to the right, etc. This did not work at all on the T1000. However, other text selection commands -- Shift-F6, F7, F8, F9, F10 -- work ok. I suspect there is some sort of problem in the way the Toshiba portables scan the keyboard. Has anyone found a fix for this problem? I am replacing my NEC Multispeed with a Toshiba T1000 soon to reduce the weight of the stuff I tote around with me and it is important that Microsoft Word works with the T1000. -- Todd Ogasawara, U. of Hawaii Faculty Development Program UUCP: {uunet, ucbvax, dcdwest}!ucsd!nosc!uhccux!todd ARPA: uhccux!todd@nosc.MIL BITNET: todd@uhccux INTERNET: todd@uhccux.UHCC.HAWAII.EDU <==I'm told this rarely works
