Unfortunately DIVERSI-Tune is not shareware infact it is supposed to reach the
stores at $75 vs 55 direct. Hardware is not required to play music but to
record an APPLE or Opcode Studio Plus 2 MIDI is required . Both of these are
designed to operate off the modem port though it does support the card types
such a passport and others that were designed for the //e. You can use two
interfaces with this program on on each of the modem and printer ports.

A sterio card is recommended but not required and its really a waste without
one. The program works much like a tape recorder with the arrow keys or top 4
keys on the keypad as control including Fast forward with the music playing.

You can add word to the songs with a little bounceing ball just like the
Saturday shows I remember as a kid, there I go shoeing my age again, in
addition you get a keybord on the screen with or with out a player piano like
graphics to look at as the music goes by.

Recording is 32 track so you have quite a bit of freedom to do editing over
recording deleting single notes punching in and other features.

I'm no expert on midi but am quite satisfied with the investment. If your not
sure SEND $2 ($5 foreign or phone order) to BILL BASHAM and he'll send you a
demo.

One final note Bill suggests that you take your words and music and create a
sing along VIDEO with a VCR just the thing to liven up a Saturday Night.
