We have never seen any incompatibilities: they're functionally identical. Now, as for the price of upgrading, that's debatable. Through the University Purchase Plan here, we can buy a new Plus for $1149, while upgrading a 512 costs about $900....(-: we bought our 512 a month before the Plus came out and got a 50% discount on the upgrade at that time :-) If you take a "street" price for the Plus at, say $1300, then that means your 512 is only worth $400. Even so, I'd try to sell my 512 and buy a new Plus instead of upgrading - remember those power supply problems...? I have a 512E at home - if I ever decide to upgrade, I'll either just add memory (no SCSI) myself or get rid of it and buy something newer. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :: Boyd Ostroff, Technical Director :: System Operator, "The CallBoard" :: Department of Theatre, SUNY Oswego :: - Serving the performing arts - :: Internet: ostroff@oswego.Oswego.EDU :: (315) 947-6414, 300/1200 baud, 8N1 :: Voice: (315) 341-2138 :: UUCP ...sunybcs!oswego!cboard!ostroff :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
