I can only speak from personal experience, but ... :

I have an A1000 (bought in September 86), and it works like a charm over
here. A simple 220 -> 110 V transformer is sufficient. The only thing that
depended on the 60 Hz was the clock (It ran slow under Kickstart 1.1).
However, this problem was fixed under V1.2 (it detects the line frequency).
All this is with an A1080 monitor, so maybe the A1084 is different ...
