I've seen a few postings related to an RS232 interface for the C64. I had
the same need, and I thought I'd share this info with those in need.

This is a good little '232 circuit, and uses only one chip, the Maxim
MAX-232CPE. It should be available in most areas from larger houses like
Pioneer, Hamilton-Avnet, etc.(NOT Radio Shack). It is a dual RS232 IC, and
easy to work with.

You'll need a 24-pin card edge connector, or like I did, buy a bigger one from
Radio Shack and cut it down. This is ok except if you'll be plugging and
unplugging it a lot, be careful, you may blow the fuse.

Also, you'll need a ribbon cable DB-25 or similar connector and ribbon cable.
The schematic is detailed to show a few additionals.

If you'd like a copy, just send me a S.A.S.E. (business-sized) to one of the
adrresses below. Hope this helps.
