I'm working on X V11R2 on a Sun-4 running SunOS-4.0. There seems to be something wrong with the 'select' function of the OS. When I run 'uwm' all I get is a beep and nothing else. When I examine the stack through dbx, the last call (where it seems to be stuck) is to select. The program continues to run, but nothing actually happens. I had this same behaviour when running 'xconq v5', with the same select call. The readme in servers/ddx/sun mentioned that the server was known to work under SunOS-4.0. The file also stated that this would not work with the /dev/cg2 driver. Well, guess what I'm using! Could this be a source of my problem? Many things do work, including xterm, puzzle, wm, and clock. I have installed fixes 1-33.
