Thanks to everyone who replied to my earlier posting about bug reports.

The consensus seems to be that the best way to ensure that X bug reports
get circulated is to post them to a newsgroup, rather than setting up a
mailing list.

Mindful of the wishes of an MIT X-person, I'll post reports to
comp.bugs.misc rather than to comp.windows.x (which is gatewayed with the
to-be-kept-pure xpert mailing list).

And to avoid friction with an MIT X-person, I plan to stop sending bug reports
to xbugs@expo.lcs.mit.edu; I suggest this course of action to other readers
as a way of reducing stress.
