I have an application for klystron/klystrode amplification
in the 470-800 mHz band. Basically, it is a linear power amplifier
with a peak envelope power of 2.0 kw. The bandwidth is 6.0 mHz.

Anyone know of those lesser electron tube manufacturers
who might make such a beast? All the Eimac/Varian and E.E.V.
catalogs seem to have are really large beasts in the 30-55 kw
output range and up.

It would seem to me that using a klystron/klystrode
(or TWT) would be far simpler than construcing coaxially tuned
cavities for conventional tetrode power tubes.

Thanks...
