  Good point.  In fact, not even all IBM VGAs are 100% compatible with IBM VGA!
  For an explanation and a compatibility comparison of several VGA boards, see
  this week's (?) PC Magazine ... I think it has a VGA board on the cover.
  (Thumbnail explanation:  IBM makes 2 VGA boards for PS/2 systems, and they're
  not 100% compatible!)
