Keywords: PC IBM NCR Penril Modem Message-ID: <104@cs-col.Columbia.NCR.COM> Date: 15 Jul 88 20:26:42 GMT Organization: NCR Customer Services Support Team, Columbia, SC Lines: 19 I recently purchased a used NCR PC810 from a friend. It came equipped with a Penril internal modem, and I also finally located the comm software which was driving it. The problem that I have is that I know nothing about this modem, nor do I have any documentation regarding this modem. The big problem with the modem is probably my lack of documentation, but I still think that I have a configuration problem: whenever I start a vi(1) session through the modem, I get locked up. I think it is gagging on some of the terminal escape sequences. Does anyone out there in "netland" have any smarts about this modem; can you tell me anything about it? +------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Sam Vause, NCR Corporation, Customer Services - TOWER Support | |3325 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169 (803) 791-6953 | | sam.vause@Columbia.NCR.COM | | ...!ucbvax!sdcsvax!ncr-sd!ncrcae!cs-col!vause | +------------------------------------------------------------------+
