It is VERY solidly built, has a nice "feel" to the disk release (BTW, it looks like it is an NEC drive - the good ones), is small (very nice on a space budget), has a generous cable, and is VERY quiet. The difference between it and my internal A1000 drive is like night and day; no more CHUNK CHUNK CHUNK, but rather a nice click (put that in -5 point elite :-). And, best of all, Abel Supply (Yes, take this as a promotion, I like them and their service) has them for about $180 shipped. This is great considering 1050's are now $299 retail, and about $50 more than the ProDrive mail order. ****, two thumbs up. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Garvin North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC "A waste is a terrible thing to mind; don't mind me." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Instant disclaimer: just add water.
