Maybe I came in late, but I don't understand why there's a problem. 
Binaries are posted to other notefiles:  The only objections seem to
come from the people who aren't interested in them in the first place.
Unless there's a substantial increase in frivolous traffic, nobody
is likely to object to the posting of binaries in this file.
