At Albany, NY, USA there is a 1.2MV high-voltage electron microscope NIH resour
ce situated in the Wadsworth Center for Labs and Research of the New York State
Department of Health.  The facility includes a stereocopic 3-D computer graphic
reconstruction facility for profiling (in stereo) sets of serial thick sections
 (10-15 per cell) or whole cell mounts.  Morphometry of cell compartments can b
e obtained.   Tomographic reconstruction using multitilted images is also avail
able for smaller structures.  If you wish to carry out a project at the Albany
