Does anybody know where I could lay hands on a spelling checker that
would behave nicely, or at least nicer than spell(1)?

What I am looking for is a program that does something like this:

find all the misspelled words in a file, and, one by one:
ask if the word should be changed,
    if yes then
ask what the word should have been, and present some mechanism
for getting a list of alternative spellings.
automatically replace all occurences of the word in the file

Anybody know of such a thing?
