Lines: 21 I was trying to use Uniterm today to receive a file via Xmodem from a friend, and just couldn't do it. I was using a Hayes modem, Waiting for him to ring me and doing an ATa to connect to him. The modems connected happily so I hit ALT-T (after setting Xmodem mode), selected receive, typed in the filename and the instant I clicked on OK, my modem hung up. I've never had any trouble with the modem (a PACE Series 4 2400S) and Uniterm (V2.0c) before, but then again, I've never used the Xmodem before with the modem (although I know the Xmodem works as I have succeessfully used it when directly connected to another micro). Am I doing something wrong, or have I fogotten to set something up? My ST is a Mega 4 (with a blitter!!!! - yes, some of them do get shipped with them), a hard disk using the Supra Hard disk software and the only two desk accessories are The Control Panel, and something called Control Panel++ which gives me a RAM disk and a couple of other nice facilities. I have never had any clashes between any of these before so whats up??? thanks in advance for any replies (I can't mail non JANET sites) Zareh Johannes P.S. when I say that my modem hung up, I mean that it dropped (i.e. hung up) the phone line; I don't mean that it crashed (i.e. hung up) -- ZZKJ - hacking away till it no longer bytes.
