Why must we use ^L? Message-ID: <23670@teknowledge-vaxc.ARPA> Date: 8 Jul 88 00:18:08 GMT References: <2651@zyx.SE> Reply-To: wlieberm@teknowledge-vaxc.UUCP (William Lieberman) Organization: Teknowledge, Inc., Palo Alto CA Lines: 9 In gnu-emacs on our microvax, whenever emacs is called, the screen must first be cleared using control-L; otherwise miserable junk is left all over the screen. Once that is done one time, then emacs stays clean for the remainder of the session. My question is, is this a bug? If yes, is there a(n easy) fix. Thanks, Bill Lieberman
