Nope. I played D.C. on a hard disk equipped SE and the game on 
floppy disk, and never had to swap anything. Great game if you have
a spare keyboard to hammer on. I don't recall having to do a lot
of waiting for anything, either. I never did get the hang of the game,
though. Never got past the rats or birds. Needless to say, I used 
someone else's keyboard!
