There is a later paper by Ulnichy that describes methods for modifying
the FS dither, using a random perturbation of the threshold for each
pixel, and distributing the error on a randomized basis between the
next adjacent pixel and the pixel directly beneath the object pixel.
It gives smoother looking images, albeit noisy than any other implementation
of the FS scheme that I have tried.
