Message-ID: <10325@ncc.Nexus.CA> Date: 11 Jul 88 22:02:56 GMT Article-I.D.: ncc.10325 Distribution: can Organization: Nexus Computing Inc. Lines: 20 I'm in a situation where I have to link a 3/280S with another Sun system (probably a 3/160) located a couple of miles apart. We would prefer to link them with IP in such a way that both machines appear to be on the same Ethernet (with Ethernet like throughput). I have heard of a DEC microwave bridge that will link Ethernet segments at high (10 Mb/s?) speeds. Are any of you familiar with this product? Calls to DEC result in comments like "Gee! I never knew we sold *those* ..." An alternative would be a T1 line running IP over SunDNI/X.25. (I doubt we can run fiber between the sites.) ANY suggestions on how we can set this up would be appreciated. -- {alberta, pyramid, uunet}!ncc!lyndon lyndon@Nexus.CA Ain't singin' for Miller...
