NY, NY Lines: 15 Answers to a previous question: SliTeX can be used with the software that is distributed by PC TeX after the CM pixel files are supplemented with lcmss8.pk, lcmssi8.pk, lcmssb8.pk, and perhaps a few others. The pixel files are indeed device independent, so the pixel files can be obtained from any site that has them. I noticed one curious thing about the font ilcmss8: If allfnt8 is run on this font, one gets a nice chart, but all of the characters in the font are blank!
