Right now I have The IBM slots on the 2000 don't cost much! You CERTAINLY can't cut out >$500 by dropping a few traces and internal connectors. All the circuitry is on the bridge board that you don't have to buy if you don't want it. (I sure don't!) Now if you want to change the 2000 into a 1500, how about just replacing the IBM slots with additional Amiga slots? I'd have much preferred this setup. Do I expect such a system to be cheaper? No. But I LIKE having room for mucho internal expansion and power to run it. Personally, I think getting an internally expandable machine with the power of the Amiga, 3 Meg of RAM, and a 48 Meg SCSI DMA HD for $3000 is a fantastic deal!
