Nobody has direct experience with "Transactor for the Amiga", yet. It
premiers in January, 1988.

Experience with the old Transactor indicates the new entry has a great
chance of living up to it's billing. No longer will one need to scan
past pages and pages of reviews to extract tiny bits of technical
information.

Many of the famous "net personalities" are writing for the new Transactor.
The transactor people are also showing a strong effort. The one year
introductory price of $7.50 is an indication of the desire to build
a strong, large, reader base from the start.

From this point of view it looks like a good bet, especially with that
introductory price. (Good until the first of January).

PROS:
---
You don't have to type in, or search for any of the programs printed
in the magazine.

Additional programs/files will be on the disk that may not have been
printed in the magazine. (For example, a columnist may mention
"MoreRows" and then see to it that the binary is on the disk)

CONS:
----
Cost.

If you search enough, you will probably find all the programs on the
disks from other sources, eventually.

DISCLAIMER: I'm doing a little bit of writing for the new Transactor,
but have no deeper ties.
