I would direct you to a program called RAMNET.  It's a memory-resident BBS
system supporting Xmodem up- and downloads, chat, and mail.

You can check it out at 212-889-6438.

In case the price (maybe $300) is too stiff for you, RAMNET has available 
for download at least two other RAM resident comm packages, one of which may 
suit your needs.

RAMNET is written by the author of FLUSHOT, by the way... it is also available
there.
