From what I understand one/both of these machines has the potential for what I need to do. I am hoping that someone out there in net.land will be able to help me figure out what is needed for the following: -hook up a VCR to a pc -organize, access and modify video content (ie. on a "frame-by-frame" basis) -superimpose graphics (free-hand and text) on video content -integrate sound (e.g., narration/music) with video/graphics content So what you would end up with is sort of like one of those movies you see in highschool science class where there is a mixture of people in labcoats talking, "live footage" of some phenomenon and then some graphics superimposed on the "live footage" which the narration/music describes, etc. I saw a commercial on TV awhile back of a guy who is raving about how he can make his own "music videos" etc with his machine and how you can't do that with a Mac (or something). I don't remember the name of that particular machine but any help anyone can offer will be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanking you in advance... Sincerely, :-) Sigrid Grimm (mnetor, yetti, utgpu !geac!sigrid) -- "The greatest good is the knowledge of the union which the mind has with the whole nature." -- Spinoza --
