Many a time before I managed to get a copy of PKARC, I downloaded stuff from the net or BBS's, and *POOF* ARC didn't like it. So I had to sit on these .ARC files until I got that copy of PKARC. And lo, it had different defaults. And lo, it was two programs instead of one. BLEAH. Gimme ARC from SEA any day.
