Not all of them; I know of one, a workstation manufacturer in Mountain View
named "Sun Microsystems", that maps files into the address space but does not
have the same NFS worries.  As was noted earlier, it's a question of how your
system is layered; if your paging system can't be put atop NFS, it obviously
makes mapping files into your address space over NFS more difficult.
