To get a charackter from the screen, you first have to calculate the Postion in the graphic-screen, then compare the current 8 * 16 (or 8 * 8) field with the current systemfont. You see, it is a lot of work, so the (nearly) only possible language is assembler. As I know, gemdos doesn't support such a function, but perhaps later it will do it :-).
