What he's got is diffs for the commands and the library routines. I'm presuming that one can build a complete 1.3 distribution by adding all the non-diff 1.3 stuff that has been posted by Andy over the last month or so. I'm not on bitnet either, but I had no trouble retrieving the diffs from Glen's listserv (whatever that is!). Since I have arpanet access, I just mailed to listserv%ndsuvm1.bitnet@cunyvm.cuny.edu a message containing a line of the form GET MINIX UP1-C1 MINIX This particular command retrieves the first half of the command diffs. Note that I used upper case only. I figured it would be too much to ask for an IBM machine to understand lower case. :-) I got a response to my first request overnight, and then the other three requests produced results within hours. Since three of the files contain lines longer than 80 bytes (...and IBM created the CARD, and it was 80 bytes, and IBM saw that it was GOOD...), the listserv encodes them before mailing them. It tells you what file you need to retrieve to get a program to un-encode them. When I unshared the files, I got some messages about file lengths not matching. I haven't had time to investigate further, but suspect that some mailer stripped trailing blanks on me. >I've had real trouble going from 1.1->1.2, and so finally gave up, but will >try again. It is incompatible with the rest of the 1.1 compiler and should be deleted. >haynes@llnl-lcc.gov Paul -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Paul L.
