I'm having major fits with file descriptor handling and how xterm munges ttys, pty and /dev/tty. On top of that, xterm is UGLY CODE! (I repeat - UGLY UGLY UGLY UGLY!) - which makes the going a lot harder. One thing I have noticed is that xterm WILL NOT WORK on any UNIX system that does /dev/tty differently than 4.3BSD (e.g. Encore UMAX 4.2, SUNOS 4.0). I hope someone who understands xterm better than I has some inspiration about this problem. -Clyde Hoover -- Shouter-To-Dead-Parrots @ Univ. of Texas Computation Center; Austin, Texas clyde@emx.utexas.edu; ...!ut-sally!ut-emx!clyde "That would be the easy way, but it wouldn't be The Cowboy Way." -Riders in the Sky
