Probably not as many as there should be.  Certainly most device drivers are
multi-threaded.  And I've also seen it used in video games (for example, each
"Nasty" is a task, and you run N instances of that task for N "Nasties").  In
between I haven't seen it used as much, but I suspect part of the reason for
this is that most programmers aren't confortable with using multiple tasks
within a single program.  Regardless of whether they're multi-threaded or
not.
