I also use 1.0 ]at present. ] ]John Hardin ]hardin%hpindda@hplabs.hp.com You know, I'm more than a little pissed about Datastorm's customer support! I registered really rather early for the shareware product (at the level of 2.3, actually). I returned the famous card to get ProComm+ the day it arrived. *Months* went by. In due course, the highly defective PCPLUS 1.0 arrived. I've been hearing about 1.1 for quite some time now, and growing more exasperated by the day. In today's mail arrived the 1.1A update disk. Upon installing it I find there are still errors in the VT102 emulation (right arrow rubs out the screen character), and not very many minutes later I discover there's a 1.1C to be delivered "when it is ready." Hell, I'll die "when I'm ready." I mean, what does that *mean*? I've had universally off-putting contacts with the registered users' BBS (when I'm willing to get up at 3:00 a.m. to get connected at all). I realize the company must be having extensive growing pains, as they're successful beyond their reckoning, more than likely. But although one's experience in the hurly-burly world of PC software support should have prepared us for this sort of thing, I really think one *should* protest, lest silence be taken for acquiescence. Have others had comparable fits from these folks? ==Jess Anderson======(home:)========INTERNET: anderson@vms.macc.wisc.edu==== | 1210 W.
