One system is the name server, another is a caching only node. There are a few problems mainly to do with our site specification (multiple domains under one root). Its' taken me a fair bit of time to get the system fully functional, but now that it is, its' ok. We are running V3.2 if TCP/IP. The system talks to other name servers on campus and we are using subnet masking and routing to allow for other domains. hope this helps, +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Malcolm Wade, ASCnet: malcolm@csdgwy.csd.unsw.oz | | VAX/VMS Systems Group, Infopsi: malcolm@csdgwy.unsw.edu.au | | University of New South Wales, FAX: 61 2 662 8665 | | Sydney, Australia Phone: 61 2 697 2835 | | | | Note: I'm only doing this to improve my typing !! | +----------------------------------------------------------------------+
