Summary: can it be done? Keywords: mac SCSI backup shoebox sun Message-ID: <524@cogen.UUCP> Date: 21 Jun 88 18:36:39 GMT Reply-To: alen@cogen.UUCP (Alen Shapiro) Organization: Cogensys, LaJolla, Calf. Lines: 14 We have a couple of Mac+s and several Suns with SCSI "shoebox" disk and streaming tape drives. We need to back up 160Mbytes on 2 Jasmine disks and I was wondering if anyone out there has solved the problem of connecting Mac SCSI to sun SCSI so that the sun streamer might be used as the backup device. Any takers? --alen the Lisa slayer (it's a long story) ps I know about getting a kinetics Fastpath and tops and backing up over ethernet but that is more expensive than buying a Mac+ streamer!! ....!{seismo,esosun,suntan}!cogen!alen
