I have just read the response to my posting regarding Atari's
mega-st marketing policies.

1) As for my using expletives on the network, I apologize publicly
for my language in my original posting.
2) The 'Guys at Atari' say that this policy doesn't apply to music
stores.....interesting, both of the places I talked to were music
stores. The first is a full line music store that has been selling
ST's for at least 6 months now. As soon as the MEGA'S were available,
they had them. These are the guys that told me ' uuuummmm we're
re-evaluating whether we're going to carry Atari computers anymore'
Isn't it a coincidence that this statements comes one day after
the other dealer I talked to tells me he received the letter from
   Atari outlining the new policy.
3) The 'Guys from Atari' suggest that I check my facts more carefully
before posting to the net. Just exactly who am I supposed to check
with if not the 2 dealers in town that I know of ????

I can assure you that my original posting was based on information I
received from local Atari dealers as stated. If your policy is what
you say it is, then I can assure you that you have some confused dealers
in Boston , Mass.
