I guess it'll have to be done in assembler. What I need is something to scan the modem for calls while leaving the PC free for other stuff. If a call comes in, it could ask the user whether they want to give up what they're doing so it can answer the phone, or, preferably, answer the phone and carry on a conversation over the modem while continuing with the user at the keyboard. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -- ---{john hayes} Old Dominion Univ; Norfolk, Virginia USA UUCP: aiko@xanth.UUCP or ...!uunet!xanth!aiko ARPA: aiko@xanth.cs.odu.edu Home: (804) 622-8348 Work: (804) 460-2241 ext 195
