Sometimes, there are just too many items in a directory (HSF folder) for
easy identification. The user needs to scroll through a large window and
scan a lot of items. I for one do this too often and find it time consuming.
Having an additional sub-file of the MSF type would allow me to reduce visual
clutter and allow me to keep items within a directory in such a way that I can
find them quickly. It isn't always desirable to make all groups separate
hirechical levels. I think this is a dandy idea. However, I also agree that
a HSF style container and a MSF style container should look different and have
different names to minimize confusion.

Looking around my office for a desk top simile, all I could find was a file
drawer (for HSF) and a folder (would revert back to its old MSF status).

Hmmm..... Appologies, the file drawer icon is already used in the New Wave
user interface. Anyway, having both real and virtual folders is an exellent
idea and I'm sure the highly imaginative people at Apple could come up with
a way to conseptualize it to minimize confusion.

My I expect to see this nifty idea implemented in system 7?
