make sure the halt enable/disable switch is in the disable position if it's a 
MV II.

If it's a MV 2000 you should define the boot device.  You run some command
like test ?????. Look in your hardware information manual.

Lastly, your ethernet controller board may not be set correctly.  I knows
there are some switches that change power-up conditions, but don't know if
they can be the culprit.....

If these hints don't work, post again and I'll look things up...
