An explicit ">>>B XQ" works fine. The only differences I can think of between one that works and the one with the problem are: (a) The problem system has a DELQA, all others have DEQNAs (b) The problem system has VMS 4.7 available as s/alone system in [SYS1], the others also have a s/alone system in the same place but 4.5 not 4.7 (c) The problem system is connected direct to the Ethernet via an H4000, all the others are connected to the same DELNI as the boot node. Any ideas much appreciated. It just happens that the problem node is in a 'clean room' and it is a nuisance to have to dress up in special clothes just to get the machine re-booted.
