I have minimal C hands-on experience, even less if you consider amiga-specific coding. In other words, I probably would not be able to write a module for myself. From my BBSing experiences, I can tell you that Zmodem is GOOD STUFF! Very highly recommended. Everything else I could think of has departed for the nether regions... Except for keep up the great work. The VT100 emulator is great. The only other idea that I have has to do with making a IBM type of font, which would support IBM Line graphics on the IBM boards.
