You need the /P flag. I use the following under PCDOS 3.3: shell = \sys\command.com /E:350 /P (My system files are all in a directory called \sys.) It runs autoexec just fine. Incidentally, page 4-43 of the PC DOS 3.3 manual, which documents the SHELL command, has a paragraph at the end specifically explaining this. -- John R.
