Message-ID: <1047@astroatc.UUCP> Date: 3 Jun 88 22:14:25 GMT Organization: Astronautics Technology Cntr, Madison, WI Lines: 22 I have a Pacific Peripherals Subsystem 500 with an a2090 disk controller in it. I've been noticing that after being on for about 8-9 hours straight that the subsystem is getting rather hot. Seeing that my amy is right on top I'm assumming that it too is getting warmer than it's meant to be. Is this a problem that I should correct with a fan? I don't want to burn up my amy or my a2090 but don't want to add a fan if it's not necessary. I want to add 2meg of memory at some point and think that this will only get worse. Do any of the other card cages come with fans and if so why doesn't this one? Also, what other card cages are available for the 500 now, what do they cost and what kind of luck have you had with them? --j -- jon wesener ... {seismo | harvard | ihnp4} ! {uwvax | cs.wisc.edu} ! astroatc!jojo "... for no better reason than our lives have no meaning and we want to be on television." -- Camper Van Beethoven
