I recently downloaded elm 2.0 from an archive site to be compiled on my
newly installed with SCO Xenix '386 2.2.2. Having made a couple of minor
adjustments, I sat back and watched it whirl on by. The only problem was
at the end when ld took over and found that crypt and mkdir were undefined
variables. It appears that SCO omitted them for some odd reason. My
question is, while mkdir can be simulated easily enough with system calls,
how does one make up for crypt? Has anyone else experienced this problem,
and if so, how do you work around it? Is there a PD version of crypt(3)?

Thanks in advance!

Mark.
