Finally, HINSTALL (the official Atari boot-from-hard-disk utility)
has been posted on comp.binaries.atari.st.

Questions: I am now using HDB 2.3 for the same purpose. Is there
any reason to replace it with HINSTALL? If I want to replace it,
how do I get rid of what HDB left in the master boot sector on the
HD? Just deactivating HDB through itself does NOT restore the disk
to its former state before first installing HDB. I once tried to
install the Supra HD booter over HDB and ended up having to reformat
the HD. One (ugly but feasible) solution is to overwrite the
master boot sector, or the relevant parts of it, with the image
of a freshly-formatted (and partitioned the same way as before)
HD boot sector. Alas, I forgot to save such an image before I
installed HDB. Anybody care to post such, perhaps with comments
on what's where on that sector (partition information especially) ?
