It is true that Viewpoint Documents cannot be imported via XDE, as thay are segmented files which XDE knows nothing about (XDE will just read the first segment). Any NS file attributes will also get trashed when you read the files into XDE, but if you are retrieving them from an Apollo system they are unlikely to be NS files. So ... Re: "1) Is there TCP/IP support under ViewPoint ?? (current or planned) ??" No and no (to the best of my knowledge). Re: "2) If not, is there any way to transfer files from my Apollo to the Xerox running ViewPoint ??" Yes, as you suggested, via ArpaFileTool in XDE. As long as you are not importing VP Documents or NS files you should be OK. XDE does not munge the contents of the file, only the attributes. By the way, there is a neat VP hack called XDE File Access which eases the pain of transfering files from XDE to VP quite considerably. If you don't have it, hassle your local support group ... but don't tell them I said so ... As this is Info-1100 I ought to mention that whatever you can do with TCP/IP in XDE you can probably do better in Lisp. -- Hugh Hippo.SBDERX@Xerox.COM Please note that these are my own private opinions and do not necessarily reflect the views of Xerox Corporation.
