Must we have the commercial in all news articles generated with GNU
EMACS? I'm referring, of course, to lines such as:

    Posting-Front-End: GNU Emacs 18.47.9 of Mon Mar 21 1988 on ruuinf (hcx/ux)

Somehow this information does not seem to be of great value to the
recipients. Did somebody leave a debugging switch on?

The current version of GNU Emacs (18.51) no longer puts this line out
as a default action. You can fix lisp/rnewspost.el, function
news-setup, and re-byte-compile, if you don't wish to upgrade at this
time.
