In nethack 2.3 made with all features enabled, I encountered the following
minor bug. I don't have convenient source access to try to run it down, so
this is just a way to share the knowledge with the games many maintainers in
hopes someone will bother to stomp this six legged intruder.

First level, hallucinating, I found the indications of an access to a vault
scribbled in the dust. I searched for the doorway, stepped into it, searched
for the passageway, found "#", searched again from the doorway for the trap,
found "^", and was told:

			     You found a.

This looks like the path was followed for a replacement string for the
normal
			    teleport trap

string to show a hallucinating version, but the path was null, and/or
no such string exists in the games internal database. Possible fixes
are to add the missing string and make it accessible, or to repair the
code for hallucinating to check that a replacement exists before
trying to use it.

My this game is fun! Tough, though.
