Some of us here are interested in the general question of finding the surfaces and curves formed by the intersection of two quadric surfaces. Is there a convenient reference that gives the analytic derivations? We already looked in Mortenson's "Geometric Modeling" and standard computer graphics texts, also books on differential geometry. Reply to palani@uicsl.csl.uiuc.edu, copy if you think of it to anne@uicsl.csl.uiuc.edu. Perhaps netland would also be interested. Thanks in advance. K. Palaniappan Anne Werkheiser
