I'm looking for profiles like those available in Unix, indicating the amount of time spent in different functions. I need to speed up an MSC program and I'd like to measure it rather than just guessing where it spends its time. I figure I could write some assembly code to service timer interrupts and then determine which function was active when the interrupt occurred, but I'd rather avoid doing this myself, if I can. Also, I don't know how to get the symbolic names; where are they and in what form?
