Make that STRONGLY URGED TO ARRIVE VERY EARLY AND BY PUBLIC TRANSIT IF POSSIBLE! We went to one of them last year - co-incidentally with: - A very large and popular rock concert - Record breaking attendance for the CHIN picnic (120K+) - Record breaking attendance at a Jays game (45K+). Amongst oter things, the Lakeshore was totally blocked for something like 6 hours with abandoned cars etc. The police towed over 400 cars before they abandoned any attempts to keep it clear. What a zoo! The fireworks were worth it. Best vantage point: extreme south-west shore of Ontario Place around the beach (facing south). The fireworks are fired from a barge about 1/4 mile offshore - directly south of the beach. -- Chris Lewis, Spectrix Microsystems Inc, UUCP: {uunet!mnetor, utcsri!utzoo, lsuc, yunexus}!spectrix!clewis Phone: (416)-474-1955
