What is the latest scoop on video recorders that can do single frame
animation (accurate to a single frame) reasonably cheaply? Is it true
that there are Super-beta machines that can single frame record? Does
anyone sell controllers for these beasts so I can run them off of an
RS-232 line (or, better yet, plug it into a NuBus slot)? I am
interested in using this for an animation course I am teaching, so I
need something that is fairly robust, but (of course) money is
definitely an object. Format is not important -- I'm willing to use a
3/4 inch machine if they are still the best way to go.

(sorry if this has been discussed recently, I've been out of the country)
