We use the d.* maps with pathalias along with a path.local file.
I have been trying to discover the correct way to add a new connection
to Utah to path.local. The result I keep getting is that (almost) all paths
are routed through the new connection. I have checked the cost of several
by hand, and it was not the lowest cost! What is wrong? Here is the
relevant portion of path.local:

bms-at bms(DEDICATED), dgis(DIRECT), vrdxhq(DIRECT), nrc-ut(DAILY)

In addition, I added the u.usa.ut.1 file since otherwise nrc-ut is not
used at all.

Almost all routes are sent through nrc-ut. This is not what they want.
Is it possible that this connection is opening a major bottleneck in
uucp-net :-) ?
