Just exit kermit using the exit command.  When you get back to the 
operating system prompt, you can do any command you like (CATALOG,
RENAME, DELETE, etc.) just don't do any (B)LOADS, (B)RUNS, or NEWs
or you will clear Kermit from memory.  To get back to Kermit after
you've done whatever at the system level, just type CALL 4096 which
will take you right back to Kermit with previous settings and everything.
It's almost as if you've never left Kermit.
