I can't speak for rn, but isn't it fairly standard for mailers (at least
Internet ones) to stick in Received: lines in all messages that go through
them?  We've got a distributed network of workstations.  To make it work in a
reasonable fashion with usenet, articles from all workstations go through the
bboards.andrew.cmu.edu machine.
