Does the above happen with the current version (PKX35A35.EXE)?

[ I have ARC and it has about 50 known bugs and locks up the computer
  frequently and creates duplicate entries in the archive and ...
  I suggest that you don't use ARC.  At least not the outdated version
  I'm talking about (version 2.*) ;-) ]
