Message-ID: <273@octopus.UUCP> Date: Thu, 9-Jul-87 02:14:17 EDT Article-I.D.: octopus.273 Posted: Thu Jul 9 02:14:17 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 11-Jul-87 16:29:35 EDT Reply-To: pete@octopus.UUCP (Pete Holzmann) Distribution: world Organization: Octopus Enterprises, Cupertino, CA Lines: 17 I want to use 2 monitors, so I can debug an EGA graphics program. I have an EGA monitor and board. I got a mono board, but when it is plugged in, my EGA screen goes wierd. I got nervous and turned it off. Doesn't the EGA board map into the same memory space as the Mono board (since EGA also simulates mono and CGA text)? Does this cause a problem or not? Should I just expect the weirdness and go ahead with hooking up a monitor to the mono board? I'd prefer the EGA to be 'primary' if possible! Any advice from someone who has successfully hooked up both would be truly appreciated! -- OOO __| ___ Peter Holzmann, Octopus Enterprises OOOOOOO___/ _______ USPS: 19611 La Mar Court, Cupertino, CA 95014 OOOOO \___/ UUCP: {hplabs!hpdsd, pyramid}!octopus!pete ___| \_____ Phone: 408/996-7746
