Thanks to the dozen or so people who responded to my quest for a
Rixon R212A modem manual. I have received one copy, which is marked
as a preliminary manual, which has changes posted on the front page
mostly concerning the changes teh Hayes compatible call. My modem
seems to work well as a Rixon, but not well at all as a Hayes. It
dials the number, but never finds the carrier, which it does and
connects with as a Rixon. I also find that I cannot get it back into
command mode after connecting, so I can't hang up from my end.
Those of you who volunteered a copy, I would definitely appreciate one
if yours is newer than mine, which it probably is. I also had several
requests for me to forward copies, one of which was in a message which
I fear I only received half of. If anyone wants a copy of this one,
let me know. Mailing address is Duncan Research, 405 W. Elm, Urbana,
Illinois, 61801. The manual costs about $2 to copy, plus a litte
shipping. If you have a newer one you may send it COD, or leave
me a message. **thanks to all**
