Well, let me compare this to our VAX 11/750 running 4.2BSD. The disk
we use is RA81:

   Script started on Wed Jul 22 22:24:23 1987
   103 $ time cat /usr/dict/words > /dev/null
   
   real	0m31.53s
   user	0m4.61s
   sys	0m2.26s
   104 $ ^D
   
   script done on Wed Jul 22 22:25:01 1987

The system at the moment has 5 users and the load is 4.2. 
Mac II wins a long way!
