I've heard from a salesperson that leading edge has problems
with its current 30 meg drives. The story goes that the drive is a
20 meg made to function at a higher density and the whole
arrangement is unreliable.

Any truth to this? I'm particularly interested in reports from
repair shops, but also in the experience of individual owners.
