I need help with an HP laserjet II hooked to Ultrix 1.2 (4.3 bsd) on a microvax II gpx w/dhv-11 serial port. It (finally) prints ok at up to about 2400 baud, but buffer overfills at higher speed. I guess that this means I'm not dropping/raising DTR at appropriate time. Could someone tell me if I have a sensible cable configuration as below ? UVax LJ II 1 ----- 1 2 ----- 3 3 ----- 2 5 | 6 | ----- 20 7 ----- 7 What should I change ? I have tried HP. They were nice and kind...but absolutely no use whatsoever. DEC refuses to even let me talk to anyone since: 1) "its not our printer" and 2) the computer is not on contract. What @#$%^&* garbage. Maybe there is someone in the whole @#$%^&* world that does know something and is not afraid to share it with others. Thanks in advance. email or voice preferred, will post if lot of interest. -- Kim L. Greer try: dukeac!klg@ecsvax.UUCP Duke Univerisity Medical Center dukeac!klg@ecsvax.BITNET Div.
