Dear Networld:

Our college is interested in establishing a computer-based testing and
grading system, the primary platform of which would be our VAXcluster.
Our goals include the capability of allowing a professor to set up
a multiple-choice or short-answer type test interactively, and having
his/her students take the test together, each at a terminal. In addition, to
reduce any chance of cheating, the actual test questions and answers stored
on disk would be encrypted, and the order of questions asked of the student
be done in a random manner. After such a test, scores would be tabulated
and sent to the professor automatically.

However, before we begin developing our own, in the interests of not
"reinventing the wheel", does anyone out there have any software that relates
to any of the above?

Thank you in advance.
