GSS, I believe, is doing a commercial 386 port of X to some flavor of
UNIX; I'm not sure whether it's XENIX 386 or the Interactive 386 port.
I'm starting a port of my own to XENIX 386 on an AT with an Intel Inboard
using a Wyse 700 monitor. Should it ever get completed (I'm aiming for
end-of-year), it'll be freely available.

I never ever considered trying this on a 286 with SCO XENIX 286--the 16-bit
integers are only the beginning of your trouble.
