Having learned and used Bourne, C-shell, and Korn in that order, I
wouldn't say that Korn is an attempt at a C-shell.  Rather, it's as
much beyond C-shell as C-shell was beyond Bourne shell, whilst still
retaining 99.994% Bourne shell compatibility.

But you're still right, you just used a bad example!
