Special thanks to ARCHERB @ UMKCVAX1.BITNET, who is working over the summer on a "full feature" VAX version of ARC. Does anyone know how to debug a program using SMG now that the debugger uses SMG too, without being forced to use a second terminal? Getting your hands on another terminal is hard here, getting one which is connected "directly" is even harder and setting the port up so that the second line output is intelligible is near-impossible to the applications programmer who asked me to ask this question. The manual glibly says "use a second terminal", it's not just as easy as that. Brian Beesley SCO Data Comms Univ. of Ulster BITNET: QJIG11 % UK.AC.ULSTER.UCVAX @ UKACRL Northern Ireland I'm proud to be called a hacker. But I don't think most people know why. Of course, I accept the "true" definition of "hacker" and am most upset if anyone accuses me of being a "cracker".
