View, Ca. Lines: 7 I believe comp.chi or comp.hci is unnecessarily narrow, as indeed is 'cognitive' engineering. Human factors engineering addresses interesting issues at the physiological, perceptual, and social -- as well as the cognitive -- levels. Also, we are concerned with human interaction with complex engineered systems other than computers -- e.g., life-support systems.
