Lines: 11 Keywords: Bernoulli, System 4.1, RAMdisk I finally found time to put the new system/finder on a Bernoulli cartridge. I thought I could continue to operate as in the past, which was to let RamStart 1.3 set up a RAM disk, then shut off the noisy Bernoulli except when I need its files. But when I shut it off, the cursor freezes, and when I power it back on (I don't have to mount a cartridge, just power it on) the cursor leaps a few inches, everything works OK, and I can repeat the cycle indefinitely. Something changed in the "ROM" SCSI drivers so that the Bernoulli driver can no longer ignore a drive that is powered off. I guess I'll live without the wonderful benefits of System 4.1 and continue to use 3.2. I'd appreciate it if 4.2 (or 5.0, or whatever the next one is) loses this problem!
