I also have a 1000, and don't see much on the net.  I guess we don't have 
much to say, huh?  
As for thhe tandy vs iBM PC/XT, I think that's probably not a feasible
comparison.  The 1000 is more like a regular PC, with traits like the PC JR!
I'm not sure about the specifics, because I don't have docs in front of me,
but I think the PC and 1000 hcev different cpu's too.  
Anyway, a Tandy catalog has the major similarities and differences mapped out.
