I've been using a ZOOM 2400 XL for about 6 months now and am extremely happy
with it. The reason I replaced my modem with the ZOOM is that I moved into
an area with rather noisy phone lines and my Cermetek 1200 couldn't keep a
connection open for more than three minutes! The ZOOM has worked at 2400
almost flawlessly.

The ZOOM XL also comes with a whole host of cute but probably useless
features. I doubt I'll ever use incoming DTMF decode or background message
queueing, but it's neat that they're there if I ever figure out what they
might be good for.
