Well, I got the 1.4 setup program yesterday, and it didn't do a damn
bit of good. I configured my hard disk with a factory-fresh System Folder,
and booted up. Fine. Then I choose Shut Down. Fine. Then I reboot.
BooM! My drive's been trashed!

I gota a useful bit of info from upl@puff.wisc.edu (Future Unix Gurus) --
Mr. Hammen warned me not to use DiskExpress 1.05 of earlier on
any hard disk that I value; he says he's been using a Jasmine 80
with Apple's setup software and DiskExpress 1.1 with no problems.

I just got the new DiskExpress, so I'll try using it.

The question I have is: why does the problem persist even
after the drive's been formatteed multiple times? Will running the newer
DiskExpress solve the problem?

I'll try it, since I have nothing to lose.
