That's why they have an "Expires:" line.  Most articles need to be around
about two weeks.  Some need to be around more.  Some need to be around
less :-).  I think Chuq's reasoning is valid.  The newsgroup is extremely
low volume.  I doubt anyone is needlessly suffering for it.  I believe the
fact that no one else is complaining is an indication of this.

John can:
1.  Drop the newsgroup
2.  Do a "find /usr/spool/news/mag/otherrealms -mtime +14 -exec rm {} \;"
3.  Put a lot of pressure on Chuq.

If John's site is having trouble, I'd recommend 1 or 2.
