You could get microemacs or full gnuemacs. Microemacs is on simtel20 and gnuemacs is on the host prep.ai.mit.edu. To get it from MIT, get the file /u4/emacs/etc/FTP (via anonymous FTP) and then follow the instructions. Good luck.
