Summary: forget it

Easylink is a major pain to work with. The biggest bit of brain damage
is that their system can not accept input at 1200 bps. (i.e. when the
computer sends as fast as it can out a 1200 bps modem).

The thing to do (which we did) is to sign up for attmail. It is
great (for telex anyway). You can have your telexs mailed automatically
to you on your home machine and you can send telexs via normal unix
mail.

Our users are much happier now that they don't have to fight easylink.
