We have a signalman Mark XII modem connected to a Sun 3/50 and
configured with modem control for dial in and out. It is used primarily
for uucp connections. Our problem is that after some dial-out sessions
the modem seems to get in a state whereby it refuses to answer the
phone when a call occurs. Powering the modem down and up again is
the easiest way to properly reset it.

If anyone is familiar with this problem and/or can suggest a solution
please reply via mail (since we don't receive this news group yet).
