In this week's NOW magazine, there is a feature article on a play
about Pythagorian ideas. The writer says of Pythagoras, "He did
create the numbers one to ten, but that has a philosophical implication.
From one point of view, ten is one plus nothing; looked at another
way, it's one plus everything."

Meanwhile, this month's Quality Paperback Club come-hither advertisement
("three books, three bucks") offers "The Only Math Book You'll Ever Need".
