"balance of power" is next to impossible to win, however ... the whole object of the game is to survive 10 (15?) years without starting a nuclear war ... and to end up with more prestige points than the opposing player ... it's really hard to do against the computer ... ancient art of war is a great game as well ... there a many different campaigns that come with the game, and you can always devise your own this game takes a lot of strategic thinking to win, but is easier to win than balance of power ... i hope this helps, even though it is a reply almost 2 months after teh orignal query...
