At least short articles are in most of the rags today, but this stuff has been common knowledge around the Valley for a while, i.e., not goodies particularly. As I understand it (Sun-ites can correct me if these are wrong, but): Sun-4 = name for the product line being announced this week SPARC = overall name for the architecture, regardless of the box SunRise = internal code name for the one that goes in a 3/260 box, i.e., each box has a separate name , like SunRay, SunTan, etc. -- -john mashey DISCLAIMER:UUCP: {decvax,ucbvax,ihnp4}!decwrl!mips!mash OR mash@mips.com DDD: 408-991-0253 or 408-720-1700, x253 USPS: MIPS Computer Systems, 930 E.
