I thought they were a bit of fluff at first but they once helped me solve a nasty problem and I wouldn't be without them for the world now. Besides, it makes me feel good to know I'm not giving as much money to a company like DEC with proprietary terminal server protocols like LAT. The Cabletron transceivers work great.
