IMSD, Westlake Village, CA Lines: 407 Terribly sorry, I forgot to post the files containing the background images for the shoot-em-up games. On the cga version this was not so important since the IBM PC will initialize the CGA memory to zeros , but on the Hercules version, the background gets left as whatever the memory was set to at power up time, which is usually a mess. Included here is the background image for the CGA /EGA display. Copy this file to a file name such as junk.j. Then edit out everything up to and including the cut here line. type uudecode junk.j which will produce the file moonrise.img Copy moonrise.img to the IBM PC in binary form, and place it in the directory from which you play the game. When the game is run, the background will show a quarter disk of the moon in the lower right corner. If you prefer to play without the moon image, a blank background file can be created by running a program such as: #includechar buf[8192]; main() { FILE *f1; int i,j,k; f1 = fopen("moonrise.img","wb"); for(i=0;i<8192;i++) buf[i] = 0x00; for(i=0;i<4;i++) fwrite(&buf[0],1,8192,f1); fclose(f1); } Again, my sincere apologies for forgetting to post these images. seismo!cbosgd!ihnp4!wlbr!etn-rad!jru --------------------- cut here ----------------------------- begin 664 moonrise.img M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M \ M M M M M M #P M M / M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M / M M M M #P M M M M M M M M M !
