THE BEST SOFTWARE PROTECTION!!!!!!! On the back of the facc(by asdg, of course) packaging was the best copy protection scheme I have yet to see. It is a two line sentence that makes you think about pirating(at least it made me think). It is not a direct quote, but here goes anyway... (maybe perry could give us the exact quote) We here at asdg have always helped out the the amiga users, please don't pirate our software. With that line and the fact that there are free updates for facc, I will buy it, not ask one of my friends to copy it. I am the preverbial poor college kid, making about $45 a week, and taking classes, but I will pay $30 of that $45 on facc, instead of pirating it. keep up the good work perry..... mike(r) p.s. The author has a RIGHT to protect his investment(time, money, etc.) BUT That right should not be taken to the extent where it inhibits the usability, and poductivity of the product. ================================================================================ Mike Reilly // ---- ------ // University of Buffalo Computer Science AMIGA// ---------- -- ------- -------- ------- \\// csnet: ugmiker@buffalo.CSNET \/ uucp: ..!{nike|watmath,alegra,decvax}!sunybcs!ugmiker BITNET: ugmiker@sunybcs.BITNET <-OR-> ACSCMPR@ubvmsc.BITNET ================================================================================
