I'm 87.5 percent sure that the custom products engineering group at 
Masscomp has already written an Ikon DR11W-emulator driver, which 
has been used, I hear, to control special purpose graphics 
processors, such as a Lexidata Lex-90.  Mitch Kuninsky there might 
be able to help you;  Brian Rich also.  You can reach them at (800) 
992-5000.  If the driver has already been written, the price 
shouldn't be too exorbitant.

I'd like to know if you do get your driver running.  I'd be
particularly interested to know if you can support burst DMA mode 
(no bus arbitration between each DMA word transfer) and what DMA
transfer rates you can attain.
