I've never heard of that before... [. . . .] Stahler mills are a kind of pad cutter combined with a drill, such that in one operation you cut an isolated component pad and drill a hole. The uncut area of the PC board serves as a ground plane, and you solder the components to the pads and wire the board on the unclad side using the component leads. Fast and neat.
