  We installed Ultrix 2.0 on one of our uVAX II's. Have noticed a substantial
  drop ( 25-35% ) in disk throughput, for single tasks sequentially accessing
  large files ( the problem may exist for other types of applications as well;
  sequential i/o is the only thing we looked at closely). Our disks are Fuji
  M2333k's (300 meg) controlled by Emulex QD32's.  DEC claims no known problems;
  says throughput has improved for their own small disks.

  I would appreciate hearing from anyone running Ultrix 2.0 on uVAX II's re
  their experiences to date on this subject (regardless of who manufactured
  the disks).

    many thanks, greg pavlov, fstrf, amherst, ny.
