I have just seen an ad for a 300/1200 baud modem called the Capetronic QT-1200
for $89.00.

This unit is said to be 100% Hayes compatible, including built-in speaker and
volume control. It includes a Help command and built-in diagnostics. The
unit was advertised by Micro Brokers, 406 Market Street, Brighton, MA 02135.
Their phone number is (617) 2545-6180. They also have an 800 number, which is
(800) 637-DISK. (They also advertise 5.25 inch diskettes for 29 cents or
33 cents with Tyvec sleeves.)

I wonder if anyone has any experience with the Capetronic modem?
