Several people have pointed out that they are no longer bundled with
Mac purchases. I only meant that just about everyone with a Mac gets
these programs one way or another.

I was trying to leave that question out of the issue, because the main
point was that Apple worked with third party people to make sure that
these packages were available in the first place. It certainly was a
warm fuzzy thing to do to bundle them for some time, but even more important
was that at least you can get them, even if you have to buy them.
Whereas there still isn't any good equivalent of MacWrite on the Amiga.
