There are many optical scanners available for the IBM type PC and even
more software packages to drive them. Often I have need to incorporate
several different file types together with some editing before placing a
figure in, for example, PageMaker. Has anybody compiled a list of the
types of files generated by each, and a list of the programs that allow
editing, translation or conversion of these files. Just to name a few
types of files, there are TIFF, EPS, SRC, PIC, DRW, MSP, PCX etc....
If there is enough interest I will post a summary.
