I would like to design the protocol so that it does not run into bugs and/or limititations of various mailers. Therefore I need to know the bugs and/or limitations of various mailers. Also, are EBCDIC and ASCII the only character protocols in use or are others like BAUDOT still in use? As well as the bug/limit, I'd also like to know the mailing program itself, and if it is only a version. If there is interest, I can post a summary of the known bugs to the net. Also, if there is interest, I can post the program when it is complete. Currently planned implementations are for VM/CMS, Unix System 5, MS-DOS 2.11, and a couple vairants for Pyramid and Sun, and whatever other machines I can get my hands on. Please send the bug reports to my bitnet address if possible.
