The Emory University Computing Center is considering replacing its DEC RA81's
with System Industries disk drives, mainly for the speed gain. We are using
two DEC Vax 11/780's running Mt. Xinu's 4.3 + NFS product.

In particular, the two drives we're looking at are the SI83, which is a
Fujitsu 2344, and the SI93, which is a NEC drive (I don't know the model
number). System Industries provides these drives able to talk to the UDA50
controller.

If you have either or both of these drives, particularly in a Unix environment,
I would like to hear from you as soon as possible. In particular, I would like
to know what kind of software changes (if any) you had to make, and what
kind of problems, if any, that you had.

I will post a summary, if there is enough interest.

Thanks In Advance,
