Personally, my phone bill went to the basement, even though I had the same
volume of calls to basically the same places. The reason? I got US Sprint
(well, when it was US Telecom). Those people give you great rates, and their
lines are pretty clear (especially since they started putting in more of
those fiber optic lines). In that respect, the breakup of A. Tee & Tea was a
great boon.

Still, I do still believe that the government did wrong by busting up Ma
Bell. Now AT&T is just another company, and is starting to treat its
employees in accordance with that idea. Oh well, I digress...
