Message-ID: <4925@milano.UUCP> Date: Fri, 17-Jul-87 07:22:27 EDT Article-I.D.: milano.4925 Posted: Fri Jul 17 07:22:27 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 18-Jul-87 13:29:45 EDT Sender: marks@milano.UUCP Organization: MCC, Austin, TX Lines: 18 I have an NCR PC-8 (an AT clone) with an internal 30MB hard disk (type 20). The disk is partitioned with a 4MB dos partition and the rest for SCO Xenix 5. Everything seem to work fine. When I add a Plus Hardcard 20 (entirely dos), Xenix aborts during its boot, indicating that it is apparently trying to use some phantom type 1 disk (it's not the hardcard, since Xenix thinks it has no partitions). Admittedly, no documentation (neither hardcard, Xenix, nor NCR) indicates that I should be able to do this easily. In fact there are strong counter-indications. Nonetheless, I would like to do it.
