I have a new 30M Seagate ST-238 w/Adaptec 2070A RLL controller that has given
me some weird problems. It works perfectly fine in my Leading Edge Model D,
but when I try to move it over to my no-name, build-it-yourself clone, it
boots, but then can't find any other files. Running CHKDSK on it yields a
"Error reading FAT #1" and "Error reading FAT #2" error. Reinstalling it into
the LE returned it to normal. Any ideas on what the problem is? I think it
could be the BIOS (Phoenix 2.13 in LE, DTK/ERSO in clone), but don't know
enough about this stuff to be sure. Help will be appreciated. Thanks.
