I'm currently undertaking a project which involves the production of
a user-friendly interface to the UNIX mail system, as part of my MSc, and
my literature survey has been rather frustrating to date. I need to read
material relating to ergonomic aspects of mailers, so that I can develop
ideas about how to proceed. I would be really grateful if you could
mail me any references that you think might help me.

My implementation will use X windows, probably with the Xr toolkit. I
remember reading a few weeks ago that someone was going to post a front
end using X for the elm program. I'd be very grateful if someone could
let me know if I have missed it, since it would be a very useful source
of ideas for me.

If there's much interest in this subject I'd be happy to post a summary
of references that I have been given. I think that the trouble I am
having is mainly due to the newness of the material, so I expect other
people would be interested as well.

Many thanks.

Paul.
