I hope and pray that this doesn't come out at the top of the digest
'cause everyone will read it and forget about it by the end of the
digest...

   QUESTION NUMBER ONE:
How can you tell if the modem is connected from within a program? In
other words what is the call that returns the rs232 port's status and
what do each of the bits returned mean?

   QUESTION NUMBER TWO:
How do you turn DTR (data terminal ready) on and off from within a program?
Or...what is the call to configure the rs232 port and what do each of
the bits mean?

Mail to me, and I'll do the honorable thing with the data (post a
summary if its interesting).

   thanks, Rodney
