Yes, Turbo Pascal, CP/M version will indeed function on a C-128. I tried it out on a friend's C-128. (I don't have my own C-128.) I think that he picked up the Turbo Pascal pacakge in Kaypro disk format, although my memory is a bit unsure, it might have been for one of the other CP/M boxes. The only bad part is that the 1571 disk drive performance isn't as good as what you are used to on a PC compatible. You can use the setup program that comes with Turbo pascal to set up the escape sequences for an Adm 3 terminal as per the C-128 user's manual so that the Wordstar-like integral editor works just fine. It'll even let you use color for text stand-out mode, etc. Neat. This was on a fairly old version of C-128 CP/M, so the disk performance might be a lot nicer on newer releases, especially if you use the ramdisk feature. You'll definitely need to acquire a CP/M format version of Turbo Pascal, although using Xmodem or something similar, many of the MS-DOS *.PAS programs can be transferred and run directly without mods. --Bill Bill Mayhew Division of Basic Medical Sciences Northeastern Ohio Universities' College of Medicine Rootstown, OH 44272 USA phone: 216-325-2511 (wt@neoucom.UUCP ...!cbatt!neoucom!wtm)
