One thing about Arete computers is that Maxim Technologies has
interfaced a optical disk subsystem with 2GB cartridges to it. They
also have written a database/text management system for maintaining
masses of data. The Sperry model 5000/80 is an Arete computer. Sperry
recently won a $250 million contract to sell these computers to the US
Army. Maxim can be contacted at 703-893-3660. They even support TCP/IP.

 Hope this helps,
