However, we do daily backups, so any file more than three days old would be on two or three backup tapes before it was deleted. Suggest you at least leave a little stub telling what tape(s) it's on. I would hate to have to ask my sysop "could you pull the most recent foo.baz.~x~ off the tape? I don't know what x is, but i think it's in June or July." -dick
