Today I was trying to install MiniWriter 1.2 with the Font/DA Mover into my
friend's Hard Disk 20 System. In response, it alerted me to a "Serious Problem"
and simultaneously blew the whole System file away, and from the look on my
friend's face, I was only seconds from a similar fate.

This has happened so many times before with other DAs that I must find the
Font/DA Mover (oh yeah, version 3.2) guilty of macslaughter.

Has anyone from Apple made any moves to detaching the resource accessories
from the main system file? It seems reasonable that screwing around with
a resource file (in this case, System) 575,000,000,000 times will result
in a disaster of biblical proportions (or at least Cecil B. DeMille proportions)

Why can't add-on resources be left outside the System file?

For example, FONTs could be placed in a Fonts file (make it a System type
file, like Clipboard file), DAs in a Accessories file, along with INITs.

Let's have some real change, before people are committed to rubber-rooms.
