Howard Chu has kindly forwarded precise byte counts for the Compiler and
Runtime files.  Having been through this before, I know it is useful to be
able to check these values before proceeding.  If you have the wrong number
of bytes after decoding, you are in trouble.

I suppose somebody should write (or post) a utility to count the bytes.
I did this on my host system at work last time.  I guess it wouldn't be too
hard to add to uudecode.  I'll leave it as an exercise for the student for the
moment.
