                            PROCOMM version 2.3

PROCOMM is a pleasing piece of shareware which is available at UTCS for
a number of species of microcomputer (The MSDOS version is available from
336). This program provides terminal emulation (eg. VT100, IBM3101), supports
a number of popular file transfer protocols (eg. KERMIT, XMODEM), and has a
number of other interesting bells and whistles (eg. DOS gateway, 100 entry
modem dialing directory), and is packaged in a facile window environment.

The MSDOS version I have has a 30+ page instruction document included on disk.
I've KERMITED this to UNIX and have it on active storage if anyone wants a to
print a copy without the desire to personally upload the thing (it's 75000+ K).
The document is unfortunately for version 1.10, and is misleading on a few
points. None the less it's good to have around while you're poking about
learning how to use the program. If you have a microcomputer hardwired or with
a modem and require commincation with UNIX (or TSO or CMS ...), consider giv-
ing PROCOMM a test drive.

[ Shareware means you can use the software, evaluate it, and, if you like it
you send the author(s) money. ]
