We need to build or buy a transaction-processing software layer for use
with Unix (either Sys V or Ultrix/BSD4.2).

There has been a press report that AT&T was marketing such, developed
by Aregon in Britain, under the name X-TRA for use on the 3Bx machines.

Does anyone know about that system, or any other commercial products
for high-volume reliable transaction processing on Unix boxes?

We are also faced with some subtle database problems involving client/
server architecture -- we'll post that query shortly.

Please E-mail replies; I will post a summary of responses (if any!).
Thanks.
