Message-ID: <207@sering.mcvax.cwi.nl> Date: Sat, 13-Dec-86 10:22:10 EST Article-I.D.: sering.207 Posted: Sat Dec 13 10:22:10 1986 Date-Received: Mon, 15-Dec-86 23:48:38 EST Reply-To: guido@mcvax.UUCP (Guido van Rossum) Distribution: world Organization: CWI, Amsterdam Lines: 14 Summary: of should I try porting it myself? Xref: mnetor comp.lang.c++:78 comp.sys.mac:438 As a Mac enthousiastic and believer in the success and usability of C++, I would like to write my next big project in C++, but not lose the possibility of porting it to the Mac. So, I need a port of C++ to the Mac (where I believe that MPW is the only serious candidate for a C compiler for big projects). Does anybody know if there are already people doing this port, or do I have to do it myself? If I do the port myself, would anybody else be interested in getting it, for a moderate price? (What would a moderate price be?) Please reply by mail. I'll summarize any interesting replies I get. -- Guido van Rossum, Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI), Amsterdam guido@cwi.nl or mcvax!guido or guido%cwi.nl@seismo.css.gov (from ARPAnet)
