I am planning to buy a ][GS system soon. I am planning to get the
SCSI interface card in anticipation of adding a hard drive later.
I would like to be able to buy a winchester off the shelf, add a
generic SCSI controller, and have it go. My questions are:

o Are there any Apple-specific files that are expected to be
on the disk at installation that would preclude this?

o Does the software expect any special initialization to
have been performed on the drive prior to installation?

o Are there any gotchas in the SCSI driver that would preclude
my using a larger drive than Apple offers (i.e. 20 Mb)?

If people are interested, I will post summaries to the net. Thanks
in advance to all.
