It was developed on a Data General Ada system and ported to Dec VAX Ada system. About 100 lines of code had to be modified, maily for 2 reasons; 1. Bad code accepted by DG and 2. Good code rejected by DEC. The code was designed for portability so it is no surprise that porting problems were compiler problems. I believe that within 5 years ywe will see these sort of problems go to near zero and then portability will be mostly a design problem. regards, sam harbaugh --------------------- ------
