Yes, FORMAT will catch a bad floppy when it verifies. That is how I have caught bad disks in the past. After getting burned on one disk, I started formatting all of them before using DISKCOPY. I caught a couple of bad floppies this way, but then I got lazy (in a hurry!) and skipped the format step, sure enough, I got burned again. Since the AmigaDOS DISKCOPY is unreliable, would someone consider writing a suitable replacement? -- ================================================= "The Admiral is well aware of the regulations..." ================================================= Blaine Gardner @ Evans & Sutherland {ihnp4, decvax}!decwrl!esunix!blgardne 560 Arapeen Drive Salt Lake City, Utah 84108 (801) 582-5847
