Nope.  If you check the original sequence of events, he was telling the UNIX
Kermit something like:

Kermit>RE FOOBAR.TXT

I will guarantee you that the UNIX side was responding:

?Too many arguments

or something similar.  The RECEIVE command doesn't want file names, and will
complain if it gets them.
