Your problem is most likely overrun. I use PC intercomm to perform
uploading, and I need to set transmission speed to about 600 baud. This
is an internal speed that regulates the transmission of characters to the
modem, the Avatex still operates at 1200. The terminal server for VMS
assumes an interactive user. If you do not have success at straight 1200
baud, I would suggest using 300 baud for uploads, and only when there is
little CPU activity.
