In my definition, if I bought the magazine or disk, I am entitled to copy the program onto another disk and use it for some purpose of my choosing. This includes giving it to a friend if I see fit. The friend would then be violating the copyright if he or she further copied it for others unless he or she also had purchased the magazine. Anyway, it's a nice rationalization! -John Sangster jhs@mitre-bedford.arpa
