The program I am using to move the stuff from the mainframe (an IBM 3081...blech) to the Mac, TinCan 2.01, barfs when it gets to a certain part of the file. I then tried to break up the files and do them seperately but it barfed again in the same place. When I tried to break up the document changer at line 500 from the "This file must be converted with BinHex 4.0" announcement by moving to line 500 the screen stopped its update and hung on line 508 (this was on the mainframe!) in XEDIT. It would therefore seem that some invisible garbage got injected into the file at that point. Anyone else have similiar experiences or suggestions?
