We are attempting to interface a Mac+ to a UNIX system so that
the MAC can make use of the system's printer. Basically, we simply
need to connect the serial port on the UNIX system to the Mac's
(serial?) printer port (if it's parallel, can we use the modem port?)..
The problem is, the Mac+ does not have anything that looks like a RS232
port as far as I can tell. On this Mac+, there are two DIN jacks,
one with a printer icon and one with a phone (modem) icon. Are these
RS232 compatible? If so, does anyone have a pin diagram?
If it is necessary to do something non-standard (like using a
modem port for printer output), is it possible to print from a
word processor?

Thanks,
-Rich
