We are running GNU emacs 17.36 (i think) and i have noticed the
following problem with the rnews package:

if there is a break in our news feed serious enough to cause
a major gap in the number sequence of articles, rnews get REAL confused and
will not read past a certain number article (the last article before the gap,
natch.) i found a variable in the rnews code called news-max-plausible-gap
and it was set to 2. aha! says i. i changed it to 100 and reloaded the package.
no change. anybody else seen this and/or know what is going on?

	thanks in advance.
