Apple doesn't seem interested in supporting it, presumably for marketing
reasons. Has anybody given any though to supporting a multitasking OS on the
//GS? It seems a shame to have so much power and not be able to fully utilize
it. A 6809-based Tandy Color Computer can do multiasking under the OS-9, has
anybody though of what sort of ProDOS extensions would be needed to support
multitasking?

Even a constraint like restricting tasks to fit in one 64K bank of memory
would still allow useful applcations to be developed. (It might even be
worth retrofitting to the //e if you had the right kind of bank-switched
expanded memory card (AE or Checkmate could support a separate task in each
bank of 64K, even the Apple extended-80 col card might support one additional
task.)
