From Michtron's ad on page 55 of the winter START...
"Laser Driver, by Timothy Purves.  $49.95.  This driver makes the
Quadram and Hewlett-Packard laser printers work with the ST.  It
processes printer output from any program using GDOS and prints
it on your laser printer.  Includes a special screen dump utility."

Sounds like this is what you saw.
