I just found this book at my local Walden's. Didn't even know it
existed until I ran across it on the shelf, but I thought I'd mention
it to those out there looking for an alternative to the DRI/Atari
"documentation" (and I use the term loosely!) It is really a very
good book. It covers all aspects of GEM, points out differences
between the ST and MSDOS versions, and is very complete and clearly
written. I've only had it a few days, and I am now ready to burn
the Abacus book!!
The book is called "Programmers Guide to GEM", written by Phillip
Balma and William Fitler, published by Sybex. It costs $20, and well
worth the bucks.
