From what I can tell, 2400 baud (CCITT v22bis standard) is fairly reliable. Are some brands more robust than others? 4800 baud is more mysterious. I believe that the applicable CCITT standard is v27ter, but I haven't heard anything about whether they really work or not. Can anyone help?
