Having been through this before, I know it is useful to be able to check these values before proceeding. If you have the wrong number of bytes after decoding, you are in trouble. I suppose somebody should write (or post) a utility to count the bytes. I did this on my host system at work last time. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to add to uudecode. I'll leave it as an exercise for the student for the moment. -John S. ------- Forwarded Message Received: by PEPE.CC.UMICH.EDU (3.2/4.7) id AA00972; Wed, 14 Jan 87 15:55:03 EST Date: Wed, 14 Jan 87 15:55:03 EST From: mg@PEPE.CC.UMICH.EDU Message-Id: <8701142055.AA00972@PEPE.CC.UMICH.EDU> To: jhs Subject: Compiler miscellany I should have sent this out first - here are the byte lengths for the two files, decoded: Compiler.COM -- 9974 Runtime.COM - 10920 Hope things worked out.... -- Howard ------- End of Forwarded Message
