[] So it's not just the hard disk: any drive with no media change possible has the capacity to cause mayhem... Could that be the problem I'm having with folders on the RAMdisk after I overwrite it with new data? Is there a way to force TOS to think the media has changed (on a hard disk or on the RAMdisk which always returns 'no change' from mediach()), with- out modifying the driving software? - Moshe Braner
