From the recent article on lost interrupts in printer drivers I am assuming a high level of black art from these drivers. My question is this: what kind of data rate may I assume if my servo system can take an infinite amount of data, ie. no buffer-full waiting. Another related question is what is the failure at high data rates: pc hangup, lost characters, etc. (Neither of these is acceptable from a servo system.) Any help is appreciated. -- David F.
