Since I haven't had a need to up-grade from AppleWorks 1.1, (maybe I should,
just to be "current"), Autoworks will provide me mail-merge AND mouse utility
for $27.50 versus upgrading to AppleWorks 2.0 for, I believe, $50. When I
can afford a hard-disk drive ($1000 - $2000 ???, gulp!), then I understand
I'll really need to up-grade to version 2.0.

Anyway, as an aside note, the company that puts out Autoworks, The Software
Touch, was formed by a couple of people who left Beagle Bros. (their names
escapes me). So I expect the software from both companies to be very
competitive (which is very healthy for we consumers!). MacroWorks and
Super MacroWorks versus Autoworks is a prime example. As it is, The Software
Touch have a highly rated product called "Program Writer". Its a full screen
editor for Applesoft BASIC. It makes my GPLE from Beagle Bros. (a line
editor that is one of my favourite tools) quite obsolete! One of these
days I should get it.... one of these days....
