I stand (technically) corrected.  You're right.  There is a second text screen
in the Apple's main memory.  However, this is unrelated in ALL RESPECTS to the
orginal 80-column video windowing question.  Furthermore, the second text page
in main memory is hardly ever used, and until your message, I totally forgot
about it.

The second 40-column screen BANK resides in the auxiliary memory on the IIe
and IIc (and IIgs in emulation mode as well) in 80-column mode.

As for the second low-res screen not being on the 80-column card, that's not
true.  There is "double low-res", though about as rare in use as the second
text page in main memory.
