It's a Yamaha PortaSound MK-100, (Multi-Programmable Stereo Keyboard). Less than a year ago, I saw it in music stores in Singapore. When I returned to Toronto, I searched for it high and low to no avail. One salesman I spoke to had actually heard of it. He told me it was the top of the PortaSound line and that it costs over $900. I never did find it in Toronto. I had to get my mother to bring it in for me from Singapore. It's in excellent condition and I am open to offers above $450. Call me at 665-1174 or write me at utzoo!yetti!tlim. BTW, I've programmed a set of voices and rhythms to allow me to improvise in a vaguely authentic sitar/tabla environment! - 49-key keyboard - preset organ, piccolo, trumpet, violin, sax, oboe, piano, music box (vibes), great harpsichord, guitar, synth 1, synth 2 - 3 sustains, chorus, tremolo, stereo - rhythms galore, beat lights, synchstart, fill-in, volume, tempo - auto bass/chords, single finger, full fingered chords, chord variations, bass/rhythm variations, separate volume control - duet, trio (play melody, it harmonizes with you!) - transposer 1/2 octave up and down - headphone jack, takes batteries or AC (I'll supply the adapter), built in stereo speakers or use an external amp (aux out L&R), tape in/out - multiple menu system allows definition of individual voices using waveforms and envelopes, overdubbing of another voice onto a melody in unison, custom bass, custom drums, bass/chord voice variation, store whole songs (melody, rhythm, bass, the works) in non-volatile memory, interface with tape -- in and out, nice menu system very usable. - 6.6 lbs, slim, I'll supply a case with strap and manuals for both the instrument and its menu system.
