Is there a global method of handling widows and orphans in
troff? I am aware of ".ne" and .KE etc.

As far as paragraphs are concerned, can the .P macros of mm be
redifined to handle widows and orphans?

Some examples would help if someone is willing to post them.

I am constantly reminded by a colleague that PC word
processors handle this automatically. Surely there must be a
way to deal with this.

Any help is appreciated.
