In my last beta update for UNIX System V Release 3.1 (maintenance upgrade to
SVR3.0), ULIMIT was changed to A TUNABLE PARAMETER. Even those of us at
AT&T who work with major customers have wanted this modification for a
long time. Well, it finally made it. UNIX SVR3.1 should be out in late Spring
or thereabouts for the 3B2 Computer Family. I no longer have to provide bogus
"login" programs or "big shells" to the customers I support.
