[Munch...]

	Hello,

I am looking for some LASER-diodes for non-commercial purposes.
The devices will be used for communications experimentation,
and I am looking for them in small quantities (i.e. << 1000)

They will NOT be used to drive fiber-optics, so I do NOT need fiber
mounting packages, though they are perfectly acceptable if that's what
is available.

The specifications are flexible, but this is basically what I'm
after:

OPERATION:	Pulsed, short to medium duty cycle.

EMISSION:	Anywhere from ~5 microns to visible,
			IR around 1 micron preferable.

SPEED: At least 100kHz pulse rate, ~1MHz preferable.

POWER: At least 200mW, a few Watts (pulsed) is very
much preferable (~3W would be excellent).

Cost is a major consideration, so I'd want the least expensive
devices that come anywhere close to those specifications.

If anyone has any / can point me to a source, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

	Chris Hayes
