Is there something strange about the (read) function in XLisp (macintosh
version) 1.6? I am playing around with it but it does not seem to work
like the examples given in my book (I am just starting to learn) in that
it does not wait for input, which would make it a pretty lame read
function.

Anyone have a more recent version of Macintosh XLisp?
