We have been experiencing difficulties since we upgraded our 1200 to QUIC 3.2/firmware 2.91 (from QUIC 3.0/firmware 2.55). In particular, certain jobs containing font-downloading or bitmap operations now cause the printer to hang, often with a code of FF (system failure) displayed on the LED panel. We require the fixes in the 3.2 upgrade for our TeX support, but cannot afford to have jobs of other types fail. QMS, through our local representative, have not yet found a solution. Also, we'd like to have the more commonly used TeX fonts resident on EPROMs. Our local rep is currently investigating the possibilities (QMS has apparently not done this before)... but has anyone had experience with this? Any info would be appreciated! Kent Wada University of British Columbia Computing Centre Kent_Wada%ubc.mailnet@mit-multics.arpa ...{ihnp4!alberta,seismo}!ubc-vision!ubc.mailnet!Kent_Wada
