I'm planning to build a small 68k board as an educational project
and as something fun to do in my spare time. My background is pretty good
but I have never built anything this ambitious before. If anyone can offer
any wisdom/advice please send me mail.

Is dynamic ram too much of a hassle because of the refresh? What
memory management chip should I use to simplify my refresh etc..?

What is the easiest way to fabricate this beast? Wirewrap? Point to
    point solder?

I will probably want nothing but a couple of serial ports to start out
with. What is the best uart for me to use?

Will I want to remap my ROMs to higher addresses after bootup? How
    is this best achieved?

What is the fastest clock speed I should try for without creating
timing problems etc... I was thinking of 4Mhz as pretty safe.

Are there standard locations for ROM, peripherals and such that
I should use so as to be compatible?

All comments appreciated!
Billy
