Using DPaint I, I constructed a 320x200 'test pattern' that consisted of alternating vertical black & white lines across the top, and alternating horizontal black and white lines across the left edge. By adjusting margins, I found that anything over 1-85 or so gave me good results across the top, but didn't seem to affect the results at the left edge ( every so often, black lines were replicated). I then tried to adjust the page length, which had absolutely NO effect. Perhaps if I adjust margins more, the software will think that the aspect ratio is such that it will come out the way I want, but I kinda doubt it, cause it seems that that calculation is fixed, though I still don't know why making the margins larger yet don't seem to have any discernable effect. I finally gave up in disgust. I've been too busy to try one of the screen dump programs yet to know what they will do, but that is what I'm planning to do about it next (at least until I get DPaint II).
