In return for all the tips I thought some of you might enjoy something I've been working on. "Orbits" calculates the phase space (position vs. velocity) trajectories of simple one dimensional oscillators and two dimensional maps. This stuff seems to getting popular now. (See, for instance, the article by Gordon Hughes in this month's Byte magazine). It is being posted to mod.mac.binaries (moderator willing) in two parts -- the application itself is the first part and some documentation and about half a dozen data sets form the second part. It's free-ware folks, not shareware, not free-except-you-ought-to-pay-me-money-ware, so merry Christmas! I'd appreciate any comments and especially constructive criticism about the interface and the execution, etc. It should be HFS compatible and run on anything larger than a 128. If you stumble across any particularly nice pictures, you might mail them to me, too. Enjoy, enjoy. -- "Wake up to find out Stephen Eubank That you are Physics Dept. The eyes of the world" UT Austin
