I call it Common TeX. It's a complete source level implementation of TeX. It contains standard C programming style, preserving all WEB macros and modules. It currently runs on several systems, with zero alterations necessary to port and passing the trip tests after the first compile. Although this message originates from a University of California machine and is in use here at Berkeley, I own the copyright and am planning to release TeX for general use to all interested parties through the same principles as the original TeX and other notable software authors. Currently there are no adequate distribution mechanisms established, but I am willing to work to provide this service. Please contact me if you are interested in receiving this program.
