It's a fairly nice multi-window editor, with split windows (to view
two parts of a file simultaneously) and other nice features which escape
my mind right now.  It's not shareware.  It's put out by Paragon
Courseware, 4954 Sun Valley Rd., Del Mar, CA 92014 and lists for $65.

I prefer MDS Edit because 1) it was bundled with TML Pascal and saved me
the $65; and 2) it's smaller, which is an important consideration if you're
trying to develop software on a good ol' Mac 512K.
