I tried DOS copy, typeing I for the "Abort, Retry, Ignore?" as well as various things with Norton's Utilities, etc. I finally succeeded by copying the whole disk with Locksmith's Fast backup utility. The file on the copy-disk was readable and complete except for some garbage where the munged sector had been. Is there an easier way to do this (there should be!). Perhaps, a software product? Is there anything which duplicates Locksmith's "fast backup". If nothing else, it's alot faster than MSDOS's diskcopy. It would be nice to have it a simple utility. Thanks for any responses. -- John Wright ////////////////// Phone: 902-424-3805 or 902-424-6527 Post: c/o Dr Pat Lane, Biology Dept, Dalhousie U, Halifax, NS, Canada, B3H-1J4 Ean/Bitnet: lane@cs.dal.cdn Arpa: lane%cs.dal.cdb%ubc.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa Uucp: {seismo, watmath, utai, garfield}!dalcs!lane Csnet: lane%cs.dal.cdn@ubc.csnet
