I'm posting this instead of mailing because I think it may be of general
interest.  I ran across the same problem with a C. Itoh Prowriter 8510 and
otherwise identical setup.  I solved the problem by searching the Appleworks
program disk for the pattern "80N" and replacing it with "000".  I'm told
that you can take your dealer and he will fix it.
