San Diego Beer & Pizza Society Lines: 21 Keywords: sider Summary: Don't run on old Apples. I talked to a guy named Dave in the tech-support department. He told me my Apple was too old to accomodate a Sider drive. Aparently, the ][ series (I own a revision zero board from 1977 with upgraded Applesoft ROMS) generates too much RFI. That interferes with the drive and connecting cable... (Probably interferes with DMA transfers.) Then I called the parent company Xebec and talked to a few people there. Still no hope.. They said try back in January, as they were re-working the interface cards to be less sensitive to noise. I'm giving up... Does anybody have a fat-Mac they want to get rid of? -- Jim Hayes UCSD sdcsvax!sdcc13!33500911 "Dave!?! 'panic: Nuclear war imminant.' message popped up on the 4.3 BSD VAX again...
