==========================================================

	I have a 1984 Cavalier (J-car) and have this exact problem.
It first appears when the temperature has hit in the 40's overnight.
The noise disappears if the car is driven for a period of about 40
minutes and has a chance to warm up. It never happens during the
summer (ie. when it stays above ~50 degrees).

	I also would appreciate any information or fixes, or a summary
of responses posted to the net.
