My original article was in response to an article which stated that Egypt's
president should keep quiet rather than protest the U.S. handling of the
recent hostage incident involving the Italian ship. The reason given was
that Egypt is being protected by the U.S. against Israel.

If indeed there in no longer a reason to protect Egypt against Israel, that
is good news. I hope it stays that way. But I think many Arabs living in
countries neighboring Israel will find it difficult to believe that it
won't happen in the future because Israel has shown a pattern of military
aggressiveness over its (relatively) very short history and except for
the Eisenhower Administration, the U.S. government has not made a real
effort to curb that aggressiveness. Why don't you challenge me to show
evidence for the things I say rather than something I never claimed, Oded?
By the way, my soul is very healthy and strong, thank you.
