Well, now that things seem to be moving again, it's time for a friendly
reminder to *please* include reasonable subject lines. Re: mod.rec.guns
just doesn't cut it. As usual, I'll make one up if I have to, but..

Also, your bone-headed moderator has gotten into the nasty habit of
saving mail with the 'w' command which doesn't preserve most of the
header. This means that I sometimes go back to post the saved message
and find that I don't know where it came from! This is remedied by
signature lines that some of you are kind enough to include.. It would
be nice if everyone would do this. I sometimes receive mail by some
odd paths, so including a signature with an address from one or more
backbones makes it a lot easier for others to reply.

Now for the obligatory posting:

The .45 vs 9mm debate will probably continue into the next decade or
so, so I'm electing to stay pretty much out of it (well, almost).. However,
I can agree with the point most people make about the advantages of DA
capability in an auto. Carrying a cocked-n-locked .45 makes me *queasy*.

Now S&W has announced a DA .45! My heart leaps with anticipation.. Can it
be? The *gun* I've been waiting for? (The Bren 10 was neat, but who's
seen it or any ammo?) Short of reading a magazine article about it, I
have heard nothing about this piece.. Anybody out there got one? Reviews?
