I would like to thank John Sellens for responding to this.  It saved me the
trouble of doing it myself.  (Unless Doug forgot to put a :-) which also strikes
me as a possibility. . .)

Wait a minute, I like Madonna,  not everything, but even you have to admit
that "Like a Virgin" has a really cool beat, you know--da-da-DA-dada-da-da
da-da-DA-da-da-da. . .

Seriously, Doug, you can't have it both ways, either there is an absolute
standard of taste, in which case you can say (for instance) that Madonna
is better than Kate Bush or there isn't one in which case you can't.
