I too have a similar need.  I am looking for a TCP/IP program to connect
two vaxes running VMS.  One of the VAXes is running V3.7, the other runs
V4.2.  The software broke when JPL-VLSI went to V4.1.  At that time, host
JPL-ROBOTICS was forced off the ARPAnet.

I will check with the references already listed in responses to the UNIX 
query, but if anyone knows of a program that will run under both versions
of VMS (or at least V4.x), I would appreciate the pointers.
