I agree with Psycho. I'm a big fan of Hitchcock. Who
can't feel chills up and down their back as they watch
the birds accumulate behind the lady (I forgot her name)
as she sits on the bench in "The Birds".

My definition of scary is not gory ie. Taxas chain........
but the ones that scare you because you know that
it might happen.
Semi related to that idea let us not forget "Amityville 
Horror and Poltergiest(sp).
