Try this:

Hold the BRICK/EGG sandwich together with something appropriate,
say mayonnaise, or Crazy Glue    , or rubber bands. It works, trust
                             (tm)
me. I know these things.

      assignment! You'll get extra points for originality. By the way,
      neatness counts.
