In "The Enemy Within", the transporter malfunction caused there to be two different, yet identical Kirks. Where did the transporter get the mass to materialize this Kirk? Did it only materialize one half of the "Good Kirk", leaving the rest to form the "Bad Kirk", in which case each Kirk would only weigh half as much as the original? Or did it perhaps tap into the warp engines to get the energy (a whole lot!) to convert into matter?
