Subject: amiga

A guy at Computer Showcase (in Los Angeles) said that the newer production
model Amigas don't flicker in the 600 x 400 interlace mode. This claim
sounds like a bunch of bunk by itself, however, he said that a local developer
had talked with Commodore about the flashing problem and Commodore said
they had redesigned Angus, the display chip so that it will work at
the 1/60 of a second refresh rate even when displaying 400 lines. The
revision to look for is 6.1.

He made no comment about upgrades to existing machines.

Can anyone comment on, or confirm this?

Thanks,

David Young
