Looking at the world in such a manner is probably a very healthy thing to do.
It may just be that we humans are merely the results of 20 billion years of
evolution of elementary particles. That is, given a box of hydrogen atoms,
if you wait 18 - 24 billion years, something different will be in the box. The
box will be thinking about itself. I guess what I'm trying to say is that
we are just the results of some natural processes. Some people try to make a
big deal out of it by using mythical attributes to answer the big question.
Others enjoy examining the world and extracting the "truth", which in all
likelyhood is tentative. Looking at the world in a pragmatic way, and dealing
with it as is, provides positive growth. I hope I've made my point. I also
hope I don't catch a load of grief. This view may sound dull and depressing
but I find it fascinating. I think it important for all people to have some
basis views in common.
