Don't you all think this is getting a little beyond the pale? We can disagree,
certainly, but I don't think there's any need for invective. Isn't it about
time we started talking to each other again, instead of screaming?

I'd recommend this: 2 days for silent thought on what we've been arguing
about, followed by a little honest reconciliation on *all* sides, and then
some *productive* *egoless* *discussion*. We have quite enough problems
without verbal violence.

BTW, someone has pointed out that my agreement with Lindsay on ignoring
the rmgroup message might be construed as inflammatory. It wasn't intended
that way. I'm not removing it, because (as I see it) net.internat is likely
to become netacceptable (in whatever guise) soon. The articles may as well
stay there.

As a point of interest, what do the relevant (for me) parts of the backbone
(seismo, mcvax and ukc) have to say about forwarding net.internat? What
say ye, Pete, Piet & whoever-it-is-at-seismo?

						Pax?
