For those of you not fortunate enough to listen to Jack Buck - the Cardinal
announcer - during the regular season: the above two quotations are probably
Jack Buck's most famous lines. Jack says the first line after the final
out (or winning run) in a Cardinal victory and the second line when he signs
off at the very end of a broadcast.
By the way, Jack Buck is announcing the World Series on the network radio.
It is truly a pleasure listening to him. And its not because of his Cardinal
loyalty: he has been quite objective. He's just such a terrific announcer.

PS:
Although he has been quite objective, last night - right after the last out
in Tudor's victory - Buck said, "... and that's a [slight pause] St. Louis
Cardinal winner!" Even when excitement almost overpowered his objectivity,
he was able to bounce back.
