A few nits to pick over the following mis-information:

> The "7 Dwarves" are:
>
> Illinois winning record for last six years in a row; finished top three
> in the conference last three years.

Five years ago (1980) their record was 3-5 in Big Ten, 3-7-1 overall.
I don't have data from six years ago (1979) other than Michigan beat 'em 27-7.
Three years ago (1982) they finished 4th (6-3), behind Michigan, Ohio State,
and Iowa.

> Purdue winning record last three years in a row; tied for second place
> in the conference last year.

Two years ago (1983) their record was 3-5-1 in Big Ten, 3-7-1 overall.
Three years ago (1982) their record was 3-6 in Big Ten, 3-8 overall.

> Michigan State winning record last three years in a row; beaten Michigan
> twice in last four years.

Last year (1984) their record was 5-4 in Big Ten, 6-6 overall.
Two years ago (1983) their record was 2-6-1 in Big Ten, 4-6-1 overall.
Three years ago (1982) their record was 2-7 in Big Ten, 2-9 overall.

The scores for the last eight years:
      Michigan Michigan State

1985 31 0
1984 7 19 <---
1983 42 0
1982 31 17
1981 38 20
1980 27 23
1979 21 7
1978 15 24 <---

Looks like 1 of 4, 2 of 8 (counting this year)
(and 2 of 16 going back through 1970 I might add)

> Most of these folks are NOT weak. One should know what one is talking about
> before they make asinine statements. Unless one is very stupid, of course.

And by the way, where do you get your "information?" Mine comes from
the U of Mich "Gridiron Guide" books from the past few years. These
guides are published by the U of Mich Athletic Department and are
therefore totally unbiased :-).
