I'm posting this for itivax!lml, who isn't able to get news out of her site.
Please don't reply to me (Dave Sherman).

I need to know (as quickly as possible) any horror
stories, anecdotes, or whatever about problems women
have had after changing their names to their husbands'
names upon marriage. By problems, I really mean with the
gov't, credit bureaus, business contacts, and in other
official and quasi-official areas, though some personal
problems may also be relevant, if someone would like to
share them.

Please mail your info directly to me unless you feel
what you have may be of interest to the net. I will
summarize the responses if there is interest. Please
note that I'm not interested in opinions about the
propriety and tradition of name changing, just the
cold, hard facts. Similarly, personal experience is
better than a story you heard happened to your brother's
employer's niece's babysitter.

Thanks in advance,
Lisa Lampert
