Cryptoyuppieism! :-) Being a fervent Nothing In Particular, I can maintain Nippie ideological purity while enjoying brie, chocolate truffles (for which we can thank the Yuppies), sourdough bread and peanut- butter-and jelly sandwiches on white bread(not necessarily all in one sandwich). The key is genuine enjoyment, whether it's trendy like Bavarian blue or not, like Cheddar or Bashkir folk music. Why bother following or rejecting trends - just enjoy!
