Falwell had been "disiplining" children who misbehaved in church >(even fell asleep) by putting them on a chair or stool containing >little electrodes through which a low current, high voltage shock >was delivered. Where did you hear or read that? I am not a particular fan of Mr. Falwell, but this story sounds suspiciously similar to the rumour which made the rounds through Fundamentalist churches a while back about rock bands electifying the auditorium seats during their concerts so that they could stimulate the genitals of the audience to the beat of the music and cause them to go out and have illicit sex. It's not that I would put something like electro-shock discipline past some hard-core Fundamentalists; but this story seems a bit far-fetched to me. It is truly shocking to me that Mr. Falwell would sanction something like that. If you can confirm this story for me, I would appreciate it; then I would have to say that my neutral opinion of Mr. Falwell was too high, and adjust my opinion appropriately downward. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Dave Kirby ( ...!ihnp4!akgub!cylixd!dave) (The views expressed herein are the exclusive property of Dave Kirby.
