Keywords: is bird doggie attached?

It's been a while since I've been able to post, due to technical
difficulties (where's that silly EDITOR on this machine??),
so I'll throw in my .02 cents on everything:

Re: Bird Dog

Can you say "needs attention badly"? I have observed that most
people go through stages in their life. In adolescence, they are
terribly afraid of being different, and try to conform as much as
they can. In the late teens and early twenties they are suddenly
scared to death of being *the same*, so they froth at the mouth and
go through all kinds of shenanigans to prove how much of an individual
they are. Bird Dog appears to be in this stage, and appeals to anyone
who really wants to look down his nose at the rest of the world.
(It's nice to be different, but if you can be BETTER, so much the
better!)

After that you generally settle down and do what you want, regardless
of whether it makes you the same as everyone else or different.

Re: horses as vibrators

I find it hard to believe that anyone in their right mind would
be so impractical as to bother with the care, feeding and upkeep
of an animal that, at best, makes a LOUSY vibrator, when
you can mail-order a cheaper one that you can keep in a drawer
for weeks without feeding.

Re: Being Attached

I also find that if someone is Significantly Attached, he will generally
let me know one way or the other--either by starting a sentence with,
"My wife/girlfriend/lover/woman and I . . ." or, more directly, by
talking about the relationship he's involved with. On the other hand,
men who *aren't* attached and want to make sure I know it will talk
about how tough it is being single (:-), or talk about their EX-whoever
(emphasis on the EX). It's a good bet (at least for me) that if a
man doesn't make anything known one way or the other as we're getting
to know each other, he's just not interested in anything romantic,
so whether he's attached or not is of little importance.

Another reason someone might not mention his status is less common,
but still happens--I have a friend who never said anything about his
past, and finally confessed to me that he has *never* had an SO.
He never said anything because he was embarrassed to admit it.

I'd like to make my public congratulations to Mamaliz and Mg
here at the Soup Kitchen, who left me to boot this machine and feed
the cats while they ran off and got married. . .
