With the price of 1200 baud modems plummeting, I'm considering getting
a modem for use with my 1200XL. The only problem is that I'm totally
ignorant about what is needed for interfacing. This is exacerbated by
the lack of local stores that carry Atari equipment. I'm assuming that
an RS232 interface is needed, like an 850. However, the 850 seems both
overly expensive and overly scarce. So, I'd like to either find a cheaper,
more available interface, or find out where to get the information necessary
to build my own interface. I'd appreciate any help anybody could provide.
Email please; if anybody else is interested, let me know and I'd be glad to
give you what I've got.
