Message-ID: <448@rna.UUCP> Date: Thu, 31-Oct-85 18:15:58 EST Article-I.D.: rna.448 Posted: Thu Oct 31 18:15:58 1985 Date-Received: Sun, 3-Nov-85 12:21:05 EST Organization: Rockefeller Neurobiology Lines: 23 We are having problems switching an Ethernet on a DELNI onto a real Ethernet cable. The situation is like this: We have two 4.2BSD VAXes with Interlan controllers (and now the 11/73 with a DEQNA) on a DELNI. They all seem to be fine. However, as soon as I switch the DELNI onto a real Ethernet cable, everything stops working. As far as I know, that DELNI has never worked on a real cable. Any tricks ? A possibly clue: it doesn't matter whether I attach a transceiver cable to the DELNI or not - as soon as I flick that switch on the DELNI, transceiver or no, the net stops working. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Cheers, Dan Ts'o Dept. Neurobiology Rockefeller Univ. 1230 York Ave. NY, NY 10021 212-570-7671 ...cmcl2!rna!dan rna!dan@cmcl2.arpa
