The answer is no. These VCRs decode only the mono signal and record it directly on the linear track (or on the hi-fi tracks). In fact, the only part of the broadcast signal that is recorded much as it was broadcasted is the chroma information. Steve Lionel (I'm not Mr. Video, but will I do?)
