WordPerfect comes with a utility called CONVERT that will do the
translation for you. Just send the publisher your wordstar file
along with a note explaining what you have done. They should be able
to run convert and tell it that the input type is Wordstar (yes, it
also accepts Multimate, DIF, and a host of others) generating a
WordPerfect file as output. The conversion will work the other way
well. WordPerfect also can "import" ASCII files without trouble,
but you will have to sacrifice most of your formatting information
without some higher level conversion step.

Of course, you could always switch to WordPerfect...
