I am a new administrator of a UNIX system and I am trying to select the best
backup utility. My situation is that I must backup the large disk, i.e. root,
on to many smaller disks. The smaller disks must be mounted as file systems.
This is a vanilla SysV system (actually a Convergent Technologies Megaframe).

Can anyone give me a pointer to some information on how to be a system admin-
istrator for a SysV system? There is a great deal printed for the first-time
user and for the programmer, but how 'bout those of us who must keep this
thing running from day to day?

Since these are probably trivial questions and the answers may not be of
general interest, please reply directly.

Thank you.

Brian Lloyd
