I, too, consider this to be his greatest work to date.  It never ceases to
amaze me how he can start with a simple expanation of affairs and keep adding
complicated details throughout a book (or trilogy) without any holes or
inconsistancies (that I can find).  I highly recommend it!  (And I can't stand
most historical fiction!)
