Lines: 12 Summary: Anyone used BSRs at 50Hz and/or 220V? Can wall switch run florescent lamps? I'm interested in using the BSR units on European power. Is a Euro-version available? I have a feeling that I could hack the power supply, maybe put higher-rated capacitors between the line and the receiver, and put a larger triac/relay in there and they would be quite content. Are the schematics published anywhere? The wall switch says "for incandescent lamps only" on it. I know you can't run florescents on a dimmer, but will they work if you only try to turn them full on? (Amazing, the things they don't teach you in Columbia's EE program. I know a guy who managed to graduate without learning how to use a scope, but that's another story.)
