We have an HP Laserjet hooked up on our PC Network (which is a serial
printer) and it works fine. We just net share laser=com1. Then if I
want to use the laser printer from my station, I just issue a
net use lpt1 \\server\laser.  My word processing normally prints to lpt1;
hence the lpt1 in the net use command.

Good Luck.
