[ crunch ]

I heard an amusing twist on the "three greatest lies" while driving
down Rte 128 on a sleepy workday morning.  A DJ on a local radio station
(WBCN, I think) had brought the subject up with

1.  "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you."

then, realizing that he was committed but unwilling to make an, ahem, fool
of himself on the air, followed it with

2.  "I promise not to come in the mail."
3.  "The check is in your mouth."
