MCNC's VIVID VLSI design package comes with device drivers for the AED512 and
Summagraphics Bitpad. Unfortunately these are arranged to use separate serial
connections. Together with the text terminal this results in 3 serial ports
being required per design workstation. It is possible to connect a Bitpad *via*
a port on the AED512. Has anybody written a driver for this configuration?
Are there unsurmountable problems with this approach? I am trying to avoid
reinventing the wheel.

Thanks
