I have a 1500 twin cam ford engine that is turbocharged and is sucking
through a weber down draft carb. I am having some trouble tuning the engine
for good throttle response. when the jets were to lean I had to advance the
timing a great deal to get the car to run well, but it would start to det-
onate badly. now that I have installed larger jets in both he primary and
secondary circuits he car runs much better with lower advance. Is this
normal? It seems I can keep jetting the carb bigger and the car keeps going
faster. I am almost at the limit of the jet sizes. I also have large air
correctors in the primary and secondary, should these be set up for best
high RPM operation? any info would help,. thanks
