After driving this, you will truely agree that there is no shortage of trees and wilderness on this planet. The best time to drive this road is the middle of the winter, since this is when the gravel surface is frozen and plowed smooth. You can easily travel at 70 mph in places. My vote for the most boring road is Interstate 5 through the San Joaquin Valley of California. That's only because I drove it FOUR times this week.
