I am slightly annoyed by moderated lists for open discussion type issues, I think that the mechanism interferes too much with the forum (yes, I know, there are good points to moderate anyhow), we typically flush the discussion type lists on a regular basis anyhow. The S/N is just put up with to keep the bandwidth reasonable. However, for things like net.sources, which we would like to keep forever, it be nice to have the human editor weeding out the crap so everyone gets a consistant distribution that you can set a long expire time on, or not expire at all, and not having to worry about the directories being filled up with the type of noise Greg mentions. -Ron
