Is it just a bored operator twis- ting the VFO knob? A search of government records revealed the following license: 2.0000 KA2XNH____SRI International, experimental contract stn (US Navy co ntract N00014-83-C-0267). For sweeping the band 2-32 MHz in 1 Hz increments not more than 3 times per hour at a sweep rate of not less than 5 minutes sweep for the enti re band, 50w, A0 emission [Stanford, CA] (govt recds) QST carried an article several years ago on the subject of sweepers. Can anyone contribute more recent infor- mation regarding sweepers? -- =============================================================================== Bob Parnass, Bell Telephone Laboratories - ihnp4!ihu1h!parnass - (312)979-5414
