Many of the people on the net seem to be having a love affair with their terminals; as has been noted before, it is a very low-risk environment. But all the same, electronic communication is no substitute for the real thing. This posting will no doubt spawn a flurry of of hate mail and maudlin endorsements of the net (.. it saved my life, I learned *so* much..., I made many friends.... blah blah-blah blah BLAH). Great; the net has a function. But there comes a time, so to speak, when you have to fish or cut bait. Get out there and laugh a little, love a little, hang your soul out where people can stomp on it; take a little risk; do something just because you are afraid to do it; do something you have never done before; hitch your pants up, or straighten your brassiere, and go talk to that guy or girl about whom you've been having dreams. And oh yes, don't forget to listen to the song without a sound... Best regards, Andy Cohill {allegra|ihnp4}houxm!whuxl!whuts!amc
