A while ago there was a spate of warnings against dealing with
Northeastern Software. I too had a series of bad experiences with
them -- no need to describe in detail, should be sufficient to
summarize by saying they seemed to mean well but were way over
their heads and I received many unfilled promises and much
conflicting information. I eventually cancelled my (large) order.
[I too was particularly disturbed by having my MasterCard charged
as soon as I ordered when shipment was never in sight. One complaint
led to a promise to credit the card until shipment, but they never did.]

Anyway, on the other side of this game, I have had as good a series
of experiences with Programs Plus (also of Stratford CT) as I had
bad with Northeastern Software. Again, no need for the details,
but every call was answered by a series of helpful people (in fact,
after trying over and over again to get through to Northeastern,
it was a pleasure just to get to talk to someone when I called
Programs Plus), all confusions and failures were resolved promptly
and adequately, and their prices are just about the lowest around
(other than Northeastern's). They ship promptly, too. Use them!
