both because i am remodeling, and for purposes of a christmas gift for
my wife, i am planning on building a storage cabinet for our album
collection. the style, if possible, should be somewhat rustic/
early american or maybe shaker (man, those shakers used to have great
stereos!). our collection is maybe around 600 albums and growing -
that is, probably around 6 or 8 linear feet of shelf space (wild guess).
i need something strong, something relatively narrow and tall (maybe 2 or
three feet wide).
i guess what i'm after is either pointers to some plans, something good
books describing the appropriate cabinetry principles, or just some
good ideas.
i am a beginning woodworker with a table saw and a reasonable assortment
of hand tools, open to any and all suggestions. drop me a line if you
can help. thanks.
