Michigan also should have won the year before against USC, if it wasn't for Charles White's "phantom" touchdown ( the fumble on the 3 yard line ). I agree that the Pac-10 has enjoyed a home-field advantage in recent years, but no matter this year. The Big 10 rep ( whether it be Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan, or Illinois ) should handily defeat the Pac-10 rep. There is a reason for the Big 10 having three Top 10 teams - it is the best conference in college football this season, the Big Eight and SEC notwithstanding; and I'm sure the bowl games will bear that out. z Mark Tompkins epsilon!mb2c!mlt
