I recomend Carver Digital Time Lens (I know, another silly name).
I was impressed by the effect the dithering and the channel mix manipulation
(A-B,B-A and A+B component of stereo and their realtive delay) had on a CD made
from a BADLY done ANALOG recording. The improvements were in noise level,
clarity and "warmth" and "realism" of the sound. The best thing about Carver is
that you can switch on either the "lens" ( delay and channel mix) or dither
(2 separate spectrums/levels of dither) or both. The unit was $100-$200.

There was no appreciable effect on a GOOD digitally recorded/mixed CD's sound.
