I was recently able to make use of a large on-line database in France.
One of its interesting features was that users were asked at login
which language they wanted to use. (The question was in English!!)
From that point everything happened in the language requested. I believe
something like 16 languages were supported, with plans for more.

I have heard of programs which attempt to do the same thing under UNIX.
However, each program has its own database of strings.

Does anyone have any experience of anything at the System Wide level?
