I just had a call from Prof. Johnston at Aerospace Studies, UofT. He
is interested in hiring an Numerical Analysis, Applied Math, or
Engineering student, at "about" the Masters degree level, to assist him
with a Defence Research Board contract that he has received. The goal
of the project is the design of a "nosle". This optimization problem
requires the development of a computer program involving two-phase
supersonic flows and the use of the calculus of variations. The
project will begin early in the new year and is estimated to last 12-18
months, with the possibility that the contract may be extended. The
salary is approximately $2,000 to $2,400 a month.

If you are interested in the job, call Prof. Johnston at 667-7704.
