Texas CS Dept., Austin, Texas Lines: 23 Summary: Why it doesn't work. HEAR YE HEAR YE! Dungeon of Doom simply does not run on 128K Macintoshes. Many people have complained of bad downloads; this is possible, as the game is much larger than what some places are equipped to handle, either in mail or news. However, if you get something out of xbin/binhex that has the right icon, etc., the bomb is probably because you're running it on a skinny mac. As for success with the game... well, I've gotten about half way down once or twice, but no farther. There's a fellow around here who says he's gotten to orb, but was then unable to get out -- seems the up staircases started disappearing, or something. Any independent confirmations?
