Come on, guys, what's wrong with Amiga Hi-res text? /* Written > 11:25 am Nov 8, 1985 by wen_b@h-sc1.UUCP in ccvaxa:net.micro.amiga */ ---------- GOOD 80x25 text doesn't just use 640x200 resolution, it uses the extra vertical resolution to use more detailed characters and to put more space between them. Compare an IBM using the graphics adapter and one using the monochrome adapter. If the Amiga just doubles its lines, it would be losing the advantage of that extra vertical resolution, exactly because it has to be interlaced and therefore can't get around the flicker. -- scott preece gould/csd - urbana ihnp4!uiucdcs!ccvaxa!preece
