As far as the toothpick goes, doesn't U.L Washington always have
a toothpick in his mouth?

I have two possibilities for AL Rookie of the Year besides Guillen.
Earnest (sp?) Riles for the Brewers has batted around .300 with
about 4 homers and 50 RBI's while playing a solid shortstop. He hasn't
as many at bats as Guillen or as much press, being in Milwaukee, but
he has more RBI's and a better average. I don't know how many errors
he has had. Also the Brewers rookie oitcher Ted Higuera has a 14-8 record
but a lousy E.R.A. Between the three of them, I would say Riles should get
it with Guillen close (very close), and then Higuera. Also isn't Larry
Sheets form Baltimore a rookie? What stats does he have?
