I have moved for jobs and moved for men. My last move was lucky, it took
me near both the job I wanted (and just quit) and the man I wanted (3 years
next month).

A friend of mine moved across the country (lengthwise) to live near her
ldr (another friend of mine). They have since broken up, she found
herself broke (but with good friends) in a place she had no roots or
commitment to.

My experience is that ldr's come and go, a good satisfying job is
something to cherish. Let your ldr come to you this time.
