Speaking of unofficial domain names, what about all of those pseudo-internet
addresses I see in news?  It's really hard to reply to honey@down.FUN.

However, your points are valid.  We run an internet mailer here, and
unofficial domain names are a real pain (read, manual interpretation).
Also, with no administration, we will end up with different people
with the same domain name, just like hosts with the name uw* can
mean U of Wisc. or U of Wash.

Our only recourse is the uucp map.  Mel is doing a great job, I think,
keeping things straightened out (like getting rid of duplicate hostnames,
etc).  If we go to domain-based addressing, this will be even more important.
We can't forget this.
