Summary: Yamaha is better

Actually, the Yamaha CX5M is much better than the Amiga or the ST-520.
If you buy the ST-520, then you could interface them across the MIDI's if
you really want to, but from this fall onward, I doubt if you'd want to
waste the time and the effort. When the CX5's disk system comes out, they
intend to upgrade the music module free (at $500.00 for a single 3 1/2"
system this eases the pain). The new module, aside from being disk
compatible will also add response capability for velocity sensitive
keyboards such as the DX-7 (but not through the special CX5 keyboards).
New updated cartridges will be available along with some completely new
cartridges. (Yes, I have a CX5M).
