Here, here!  I agree that John Madden is an excellent commentator; perhaps the
best one CBS has.  However, the network situation is one Cosell overlooked.
Madden would not be able to give luster to te Monday Night Football games
becase he is on a different network!  ABC as tried, unsuccessfully, to lure
him away from CBS for two years!  Madden won't go to ABC, saying he likes the
people he works with at CBS; especially long-time commentator/partner Pat
Summerall.
