a mouse for the line eater bug.

I've heard that cats, although mostly color-blind, can see the
color red. Two of my cats definitely had trouble seeing stationary things
like little treats within 6 inches or so of their faces but could pick out
a millimeter wide gnat on a wall 40 feet away. (Why couldn't they locate
the treats close to their faces by smell, I often wondered? I don't know,
but they only detected them when I waved the treats around).
