I just recently read through a whole batch of articles in n.r.j
and was extremely disgusted with what I saw. From the way
everyone talks, Judaism is a nationality, and only a nationality.

C'mon folks. Judaism is a religion. All of this argument between
whether Ashkenazi or Sephardi are true "Jews", or whether you're
out of luck if you're Reform or Conservative is a bunch of bunk.

People are what they are: R or C or O or A or S or ... . What IS
important is that one makes a committment to Judaism, in whatever
form they practice. I don't know about you, but I'd rather keep
someone in the religion whose from of practice I may disagree
with, than lose them entirely to another religion. For, if we
keep them, their children may adopt a form of practice more
acceptable.

Note that you are free to interpret the above as you wish.
I am Reform, but I accept Orthodox people as Jews. I was raised
Ashkanazi, but am comfortable with Sephardi as need be (but all
their t's look like s's :-)). I am just tired of the argument.

Daniel
