It seems that no one remembers the *TRUE* symbols for hugging and
kissing. Well, referring to my infallible memory of that un-
impeachable source of all knowledge, television, I can state
unequivocally that 'X' is kiss and 'O' is hug. My source is the
old Bic Banana commercial (anyone remember just how old? I think
about 10 years...) in which a mother was writing a boring letter
to her son until she got ahold of a Bic Banana writing instrument.
She immediately wrote a letter:

    Dear Sonny:

        I miss your face!

                Love, MOM

    PS: XXX O

And the narrator read:

Dear Sonny, I miss your face. Love, mooommmm. *kisses, kisses,
kisses, HUGG.* Get the new Bic Banana, and change your....

As he pronounced kisses, kisses, kisses, hug, he said it in a cutsie
voice, and each syllable of the word "kisses" conincided with one of
crossbars of the X's. Remember???

Hopelessly haunted by Madison Avenue rubbish,
