Does anyone out there in net land have experiece with syncronizing
a Yamaha RX11 drum machine to a Fostex A-8 tape deck? The way I set mine up
is to record the internal clock output from the data cassete output onto
track 1 of the A-8. On playback, I set the RX11 to external clock and
input track 1 of the A-8 on the data cassete input. This all works great
till I try to record on track 2. If I record anything hotter than 0db
the drum machine goes out of sync. This implies there is some leakage between
track 2 and track 1 output during record of track 2. If anyone has had any
experience like this with any of the Fostex gear let me know what you found
out.
