The English comedy, "Yes, Minister" deals this week with the issues
of women in governmnt and equal opportunity.

This program is always excellent satire, but this week it's particularly
good for readers of net.women. The program concerns the attempts of
the minister to get more women hired into top civil service positions.

He is fought by his male top aides, as usual.

The program will be rebroadcast on the Arts & Entertainment Network
(one of those cable deals) on Wednesday at noon and Tuesday at 2 pm.

It is 30 minutes in length. I myself watch it at 11:30 pm on Sunday
evenings, but of course that has just gone by.

This episode contains some of the best dramatic treatment of these
complex issues that I have seen.
