  Yes, but I'm sure that some of the people out at the Ballistics
Research Labs near you who used to attend school in Baltimore
could tell you some stories about DEC servicemen. The people who
align disks in particular used to consistently be chain smokers
(and did not refrain while aligning disks, of course).
