I've decided to combine two of my hobby interests and build a tripod
out of wood. Does anyone have any experience with wooden tripods? What
works and what doesn't work? Are the Zone VI tripods worth the money?

I will probably have a machinist make the part where the legs join
together, but would like to make everything else.
