For many years there was a half-legible sign, painted on the
brick wall of a building on Channing Way just off Telegraph
Ave. in the South Campus area of Berkeley. It must have been
there for many many ears because the paint was mostly warn off
and the text looked like a shadow by now. It was very subtle.
It said:

    CHARLES SAUNDERS
The sole owner of his name

It was there for many years until recently when the Thai
restaurant painted over it for some reason.
