I recently saw "East of Eden" and "Rebel Without Cause" and
was troubled in my mind to realize how important fathers are to
children.

In these movies, we see several young people with many problems.
We also see that many of their problems resulted from the lack of
good relationship with their fathers. A father remarries and does
not understand how his daugher feels about it. A father favors one son
over another. A father does not know how to receive affection from his
growing daugher. A father leaves his son alone and send a check monthly
without even a short letter. A father is not a good role model for his
son as a man of the family. And so on.

God bless you, fathers and future-fathers.
