I have noted that this net travels EVERYWHERE and people get
into very elaborate discussions of heavy topics (many romantic)
and wind up becoming wildly smitten with each other. They travel
thousands of miles to Unix conferences and worry terribly about
having spinach in thier teeth (as well as convincing their employers
that this is a Very Good Thing to Do).

To ease the pain of shock, I have taken the liberty of jotting
(tapping) down these hints for the Perfect Rendezvous with you Net.Honey.

Pick your places carefully. Try a romantic place with lots of fog, like
London or San Francisco. Gentlemen, wear your best trenchcoat for
that Dashiell Hammet look. Ladies, a red carnation in your hair.
Arrange to meet them away from the conference. This way, you do not
have your old school buddies asking you rude questions about old
honeys and amusing things you did when you were Very Young and Foolish.
(Not a time for me to explain about my nickname, booter)

When you espy your net.honey from across a room (Grand Central Station in NYC,
O' Hare airport (pick your lounge) or any foggy train platform will do),
make sure you have ample room for various dramatic gestures like:

The Gasp of Recognition (ladies put your hand, palm out across lips)

The Single Hesitant Step Forward (stunning in black, shiny pumps)

The Brief Stand on Tiptoes Move

The Pulling Hands Out of Trenchcoat Pockets Gambit (show her you are
       unarmed)

The Quickly Stepping Across Room Stride (More fun in an anonymous crowd)

The Hearty Handshake and Mumble ( A real crowd pleaser)

Once you stop feeling silly, offer your friend a drink and chat about
all those silly people on the net like that booter from lll-crg.

Good Luck!
