An announcement of opportunity to request an invitation to an
international workshop on the structure of multimodal dialogues
including voice has been posted to net.announce.

The workshop will attempt to bring together about 50 researchers in language
development, computer interfacing, psycholinguistics, cognitive science,
lingustics, etc., to improve our general understanding of how people
use multimodal dialogue involving voice. The objective is an improved
perspective on how to design future computer interfaces.

The Workshop will be held in Corsica in the first week of September, 1986.
The working language will be English. Some funding will be available
to assist participants who cannot obtain support elsewhere. Living
cost in Corsica will be around $41 per day including food and lodging.

Further information, including themes for discussion and points of
contact, is in the net.announce posting.
