I have an old 400 I bought very cheaply 2 years back. I am looking
to upgrade the RAM to 64K to use with disk software, etc., but the
cost of add-on RAM boards is as much as buying an 800XL new.

I am aware that some people have swapped the 16K chips used in the
400 for 64K parts to get the added RAM. Could anyone who's done this
give me some pointers on what's involved?

Thanks in advance.
