I know next to nothing about radios, but I just purchased a
really neat old radio and would appreciate any tips on how to
use it and maintain it.

Said radio stands about 3 feet tall and is housed in an art
deco style wooden cabinet. The radio will pick up local and
short wave stations, and police bands.

Does anyone know of a good introductory type book about this
type of radio. I would like to know more about them so I don't
wreck the marvelous old beast.
