San Diego, Academic Computer Center Lines: 21 Everyone have their highways chackpointed? Good. Anyone have an overdue loan? Bad news! If one of your checkpointed sectors is confiscated, the checkpoint will remain in effect (unlike attack which clears it). This has two results: 1: You can reclaim the sector by moving everyone back out of it (since you know the checkpoint) and then back in. Since it was left empty when you pulled everyone out, you now own it again. 2: The new owner of the sector can determine your checkpoint code with commands like 'census x,y ?che>500' 'census x,y ?che>250' and so on.. (conducting a binary search.. only takes 10 tries at most) Moral: Always use as many different checkpoint codes as you can.
