One problem that I have found in relationships is that when something
is bothering you and you don't want to talk about it (and in some cases
shouldn't), the other person is quick to assume that it's because of
something that s/he has done.  When in fact, it may have nothing to do
with them at all.  
I guess one needs to learn that you can't tell and be told *everything*
in a relationship.  "Some things are better left unsaid."
