Well, last night I saw one of the new Shure cartridges, to be
exact, the 111HE, and I noticed what I'm sure is a relevant
fact.

The new cartridges have MOVED THE PIN LOCATIONS!!!!!!! If you hook the
wires up in the same order that you formerly have done, you'll
have the two channels cross-connected and out of phase, or something
like that (since the pin configuration is different, it's hard to
define what the "same order" is, I must say).

So, CHECK YOUR CONNECTIONS!!!!! If you have one of the new cartridges
(which are excellant value for the $$, by the way, of course they're not
as good as a $1000. cartridge, no I take that back, they're not as good
as SOME $1000 cartridges. They are clearly superior to the similarly
priced Grados, etc.) make SURE you hook the little (*&)(*& up right!
