Needless to say, the driver is broken now, and I can't figure out how. This is the SLAC (from the LPDRIVER, modified by R.A. Moyer) driver that is used in conjunction with the SLAC graphics package. The device works fine as a line printer, but doesn't seem to want to enter graphics mode. I won't be able to get a long period of down time to fix the driver, ie run xdelta, since we make money on the machine and it has to stay up as much as possible. Does anyone have a version of this driver modified for version 4.2? Any 4.2 gurus out there who might give me a suggestion about what I might be overlooking?
