Oh, come on! Monks are the most unbalanced character class in the
game. If anybody at TSR *really* cared about game balance, they never
would have shoveled so many special powers on the monks in the first
place. Monks have far more combat ability at high levels than any
other character class, and trivia like DEX adjustment does *nothing*
to counteract this.
