I'm sure this question has been asked before, but here goes anyway:

I've got a '79 MGB with bumpers made of whatever that black petrochemical
substance is they use. The problem is keeping them clean. I've
inadvertently gotten wax on them and cannot seem to remove the white
stain that resulted. Ive tried
Armor All (et. al.) and shoe black, but with no favorable results.
Anybody solved this earth shattering problem?

P.S. Seems like there's something wrong with the idea of soliciting
recommendations for a vanity plate. Aren't you suppose to
      be displaying your creativity?
