Does anyone know of any software that can do incremental dumps on a
SYSV machine, across an ethernet connection to another machines tape
drive? We have a Masscomp with a Fujitsu Eagle (474 megs) and the
only tape drive that I have to do system backups is a itty-bitty
cassette drive. However, I am on an ethernet to a VAX 11/785 and a
Pyramid 90X and both have nice 6250 bpi tape drives. I would like to
be able to do incremental dumps on these drives. I tried to hack up
rdump to work on the Masscomp (which is a hybrid SYSV/4.2) and it
proved too much for me. If anyone has successfully hacked up rdump,
or if anyone has heard of something else, please mail the info to me.
If there is enough interest, I will post a summary to the net.

Thanks,

Don't bother me! I'm on an emergency third rail power trip.
