There may be a correlation between pornography and rape, but that doesn't
mean that there is a cause and effect relationship. I can show a correlation
between my age and the number of computers in use in this country, but it
doesn't mean that the increase in my age *causes* an increase in the number
of computers in this country. Stephen Jay Gould's "The Mismeasure of Man"
talks about this at greater length.

Personally, pornography doesn't do me any good: my pornograph is broken.
