Shish-kabobs!  DEFINITELY higher-class than hot dogs, similar cooking
technique.  Just have him pile up bite-sized pieces of meats/veggies
that appeal to him on a skewer or green stick, cook over a fire (using
a marinade or seasonings is optional), and eat!
