Summary: What is being used?

-

With new 68000 machines out, Atari ST, or soon to be out, Amiga, there
has been interest in how to transfer files between machines. Since you MAC
users have had over a year to do this, I though I would ask you regarding
this. What programs both for the MAC and UNIX are being used? What
protocals are being used? How has data compression, error checking,
binary data, header information and multiple files been handled? What
has your experience been in using these programs and protocals? How
can things be imporved?
I will appreciate any replys that I get. If there is an expressed
interest, I will post the interesting responces here in addition to
net.micro.atari and net.micro.amiga.

Thanks in advance,
Tom Granvold (soon to be an Amiga owner)
