As explained in the first message in that group, I have created a net-wide
version of fa.risks (it has been in local distribution at sites topologically
close to Stanford/SRI for several weeks).

This material is timely, and going through the usual "new group" creation
approval process will rob USENET readers of the opportunity to read the
high-quality messages in the early weeks of the group. Howabout a debate
between Joseph Weizenbaum and John McCarthy about StarWars? Howabout
discussions by informed sources about the weather service computer failure
leading to a lawsuit where the weather service was sued for millions and lost?
Watch fa.risks.

You should make an entry in your moderators file that this is a moderated
group, and that its moderator is risks@sri-csl.ARPA.
