I am fairly familar with the history of chess in Europe and America, but haven't seen much about chess in India (where the game originated, of course). When I was in India, I didn't find any chess books in the stores I went to, but that doesn't mean much as I didn't know my way around. Could anyone give me information about where literature on the History of Chess in India, chess books published in India, etc. might be obtained? Thanks very much, -Tom tedrick@berkeley
