Well yes... unless you happen to be flying in formation wing-tip to wing-tip.
God how romantic.

But seriously, there's no trick to it.  Just walk up to her/him and start
talking about whatever seems naturally interesting at hand.  Universities
are great places to meet potential friends, especially with all the new
wide-eyed freshmen looking for things to do, people to meet and sites to
see.

Of course, here at the University of Maryland no one talks to anybody.
Students just march back and forth between classes... staring into
infinity.... minding their own business.  This place used to be a
hotbed of unrest and revolt back in the early 70's.  What happened?
Can you say "apathy?"  I said... "CAN YOU SAY apathy?" HELLLLOOOOOO??? 
Anyone out .... oh never mind.
