An article in The Sacramento Bee, front page, 9/5/85, reports on a dispute
between California Assemblyman Steve Peace, known for producing the
wonderfully bad film "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes", and state Senator
Alfred Alquist. In a shouting match outside a legislative hearing room,
some witnesses report Peace called Alquist a "senile old pedophile".
Later Peace stated, "I think we've cleared up that I really didn't call him
a pedophile. People misheard me when I said: 'You really are a pitiful
little creature.'" ^^^^^^^

The Califiornia legislature session ends Sept. 13 and resumes in Jan.
During the break Steve Peace is reported to be working on a new film,
"Sour Grapes".
