Xmode is for making permanent changes, while tmode is to make changes for the current session. To change speeds while you're working use tmode. If you want to change the default speed, then use xmode and 'cobbler' a new disk. After 'cobbler'ing, use verify utemp del os9boot copy temp os9boot If you are using standard RS OS-9 disks then this much will do it. -- James Omura, Barrister & Solicitor, Toronto ihnp4!utzoo!lsuc!jimomura Byte Information eXchange: jimomura Compuserve: 72205,541 MTS at WU: GKL6
