Dear Mr. Fritter;

So far, there is only Public domain software which uses the MIDI port.
It plays back a few songs which are on a pre-stored file, and provides
a simple graphics display that shows what notes are being played. There
is no capability to modify the notes, or to change the tempo, or to
record your own stuff. I think this package (MIDIDEMO) came from ATARI.
You should be seeing some good stuff within a month or two. In fact, I'm
writing something myself that will be roughly equivalent to what is
available for the C-64 or Apple line of computers.
