I draw the line at gory details. If someone gets shot in
a movie, ok. But if the camera focuses in on the point of
impact, and shows the blood and guts, this adds nothing
to the plot of the movie, and only serves to gross me out.
Same thing with stabbings, etc. A previous posting had 
used the term "gratuitous gore". 

Speaking of great non-gory suspense films, two classics are
"Play Misty For Me" and "Wait Until Dark".
