Dugal) Organization: USL, Lafayette, LA Lines: 17 Summary: I just installed an upgrade kit for $20 from Microprocessors Unlimited of Beggs, OK (phone 918-267-4961). The kit is really just a new PAL memory address decoder. They were selling NEC 256K 150 ns rams for $2.75 each. Hence a memory upgrade has cost me $69.50 (plus shipping, etc). The PAL permits using the original 64K rams (up to 5 banks) with J401 in the first position, and using 256K rams (1 or 2 banks) and 64K rams (up to 3 banks) with J401 in the second position. Thus adding 18 256K rams to a full (320KB) memory board yields 704KB! Not bad for under $70.00! --James UUCP: {akgua, ut-sally}!usl!usl-pc!jpd CSNet: DugalJP@usl.csnet -- James Dugal Assoc.
