For all of you Townes Van Zandt fans out there:
I just saw the video for the song "Pancho and Lefty"
with Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. At the end of the video
they show Willie and Merle sitting around what looks like a
cafe singing and strumming. The skinny fellow strumming the
guitar and singing along is Townes Van Zandt the original
author of the song. I think he also plays one of the
Federales in the video. I am glad to see that Willie remembered
where the song came from and got Townes in on the action.
Now if only Townes would do a video of "My Mother, the Mountain."
