Suburbia - great movie. Its by Penelope Spheeris who did the
"Decline of Western Civilization", a documentary on the LA punk scene.
Suburbia, though, is not a documentary. Its about a group of dropouts
who live a version of a punk rock life style. They live in an abandoned
housing tract that has been condemned to make way for a freeway. There
is a club performance by T.S.O.L and the Vandals. I highly reccomend this
movie. Powerful opening sequence - a little kid is ripped apart by a
doberman while her mother is in a phone booth calling for help for
their car which broke down on an L.A. freeway, baby.
