we have an ibm-pc in our lab. Recently, we would like to
upgrade it to xt. I understand we have to do the following
thing :
(1) replace the power supply to at least 130W.
(2) buy a hard disk and controller, cable, installation software.
(3) buy DOS 2.0 or later.
3 has no problem. for 1 and 2 , we would like to ask if any one
has done the same thing recently. Could you mail me the information
of where you bought the hardware and your hand on experiences of those
hardware ? I saw an ad on the byte that PC"s Limited in Texas sells hard disk
kit (20Meg) for 550 dollars. Is it good ? Does their software patch
the DOS system ? I appreciate any information . Emergent !!!
