Been reading these articles about whether the mass market needs or
doesn't need multitasking.

Coupla years ago I went around some of the local computer stores
in Red Bank, NJ, asking if any computer they had could run my home
heating-cooling system and do my income tax at the same time.
That sounded to me like a common mass-market need.

They told me there were no home computers yet that could do
multitasking (that is, the ones who knew there was such a word as
"multitasking").

Now I find out the CoCo coulda done it.  Y'see, Red Bank didn't
have a Radio Shack then.

BTW, too bad there isn't a net.micro.os9 for this discussion.
