A couple of postings on MVP, batting positions, and play-off contenders
make some sort of comment necessary. First off, I admit to being a K.C.
Royals fan.

1) I would not vote for George Brett as MVP. He simply makes too many
errors. In fact, the other day he got one for dropping a foul ball.
He's been in a slump recently, but still hitting around .340. And if
he had another real hitter batting behind him (Hal McRae is OK, but
not great), he could hit .400 or better easy. Everyone pitches
around him. He gets walked intentionally all the time.

2) The AL West gets called the AL Worst. May I remind everyone that K.C.
has a winning percentage over the AL East. I believe that K.C. is
something like ten games over AL East teams. Now if they only could
   beat Seattle :-).

3) Bret Saberhagen has all the stats to win the AL Cy Young award.
However he doesn't get the media exposure that Guidry, etc. get for
   playing in the Big Apple.

Now I feel better.
