Around here pediatricians will skip the 'P' part of the DPT if parents
request.  (I chose to have my child vacinated).  If a baby shows a
mild reaction to the 1st of the series, the pertussis component can
be skipped in subsequent shots.  I am fortunate to have a very healthy,
hardy kid, so I'll have her immunized against everything, especially
since the non-immunized kids will probably increase Beth's danger of
being exposed to these diseases.
