Charles Olivier wanted info on VCRs that could record better than
260 lines of horizontal resolution. He also wanted VHS, but he'll
be disappointed there. The only 1/2" VCRs I know of that do this well
are the new SuperBeta models at 300 lines. No VHS deck (with or without
JVC's window-dressing improvements) can manage better than 250 lines;
most are in the 230-240 range.
