According to some literature that I got from a suicide prevention center
about seven years ago (ok, so it's not current, but unless there's been a
dramatic jump recently it won't matter in this case), there were about 5000
reported teen suicides in the US in a year.  There were about 35,000 reported
suicides among the general population of the US.  I'll leave it to someone
else to determine how many teenagers there are in the US.
