Reply to questions from A. Thangaraj on the HP LaserJet ...

> Does the laserjet work well with the AT&T PC 6300 and 7300?

Sure.

> How little does it cost (;-)?

LaserJet: $2995 List; Discounts available -- see random Byte Magazines.

> How hard is it to get it to work with these computers?

For the 6300, there are several packages for MSDOS -- check Byte.
For the 7300, troff is supported by ELAN Computer Group (415) 948-8193

> How fast is it?

8 pages/minute.

> What supplies does it need (special paper ? toner? pre-mix? )
> Are the supplies expensive ?

Nothing exotic. Only toner cartridges needed ($99/each).

> For the 6300 : Can you print GEMDRAW pictures on the laserjet ?

Don't know.

> For the 7300 : Can you troff to the laserjet ?
> Is there a version of troff available for the 7300?

Yes. Looks great! See ELAN Computer group mentioned above.

> Are any special drivers needed ? Does the laserjet come with them?

It's just RS-232. No special drivers needed.
The LaserJet Plus has a Centronics option in addition to RS-232.
