Speaking of free trade and all that, I saw an interesting news item a
few days ago to the effect that the US recently prohibited foreign
(including Canadian) technicians from being brought in to repair
equipment in the US unless a search for qualified US people had failed.
Since such a search takes months, what this means is that Canadian
manufacturers cannot provide timely maintenance	support when selling to
the US any more.  They're upset, and with reason.
