Regarding the discussion about moving for an SO,
once, quite a long time ago, i fell in love on a
vacation in hawaii (talk about fantasy island!).
we corresponded back and forth for about 2 years.
I went back for another vacation to see if i still
felt the same. I thought i did. Five months later
i moved there to be with my SO. about 3 miserable
weeks later, i moved back. I can honestly say that
it was the worst time of my life (up til then) but
at the same time, i also realized that I had to go,
that I would have been cheating myself if I hadn't
gone. I have never regretted moving there, or
moving back. what i missed most was the friendship
that i lost by moving back. Eventually i even
ventured back - for another vacation. I actually
got up the nerve to call him and i wanted to meet
with him, just to set things straight in my head.
I found out he was married, and we never did get
together, but the peace i found just from going
back, really helped put to rest some guilt feelings
i'd been carrying around for a long time.
This was rather long and rambling, but i hope it helps.
I vote for the move.
