I am very interested in compiling and using the IEEE test calculator.
From the looks of the makefile and the nroff documents I infer that
this was done on a UN*X system. What pascal compiler did you use?
Pc (which comes with our 4.2BSD standard distribution) chokes horribly
on it. I have spent some time doing case folding, removing of underscores,
and replacing all occurences of "otherwise" with the "if var in [...]"
programming construct. However, there still some things which I don't
understand. What does "program bla(var fred :int) *;" mean (I don't
understant the "*")?

Can you please tell me what some of the "features" of the original compiler
are? Even better, where can I obtain the correct version of pc? By the
way, is there a pascal formatter which can be used to make this program more
readable?

Thanks in advance. You can reply be mail. I will post the information
if there is a demand for it.
