My Apple //e keyboard has been giving me trouble --
one of the keys does not give any indication at all
of being pressed, and another is flakey.
After taking apart the case and disconnecting the
keyboard, it seems that I have the choice of either
replacing the bad keyswitches (unsoldering carefully
then soldering in new ones) or getting a replacement
keyboard. But my Apple dealer will not sell me a
replacement keyboard (their contract with Apple will
not allow it, they tell me -- but they would be happy
to repair it for a minimum of $90 plus parts and labor).
So on to the mail order housses -- none have a replacement
keyboard for the //e (][ and ][+ yes, //e no) that I have
found, but they will sell me an external keyboard for
about $200.

Help, please:
1 - Does anyone know where I can get a replacement
keyboard to fit in my //e case?
2 - Does anyone know what kind of keyswitches are
used in the //e keyboard, in case I have
to replace them myself (ie. no good answers
		to question #1)?
3 - Does anyone know why Apple will not sell me a
replacement keyboard, when all I would have
to do is plug it in?
Thanks in advance.
