This happens if you are using a vt-100/ansi escape sequences. (I know, It had me puzzled for a while too.) The root of the problem is with a set of arrays (of size 4 bytes, I believe) that are supposed to hold the vital termcap entries. Unfortunatly, they are too small to hold the ansi escape sequences. You can try the vt-52 versions, if your terminal accepts them, or you can just make the arrays a bit larger. Sorry about the vagueness, but I no longer have the original trek programs. (I hacked all of the cursor stuff out, and used libcurses. This works MUCH faster for 1200 baud lines.) -wr
