I need to digitize some color flat copy (8x10 or 11x14 inches) to 24 bit
rgb data, at resolutions of up to 4k x 4k pixels. Something like a drum
scanner would be ideal, especially if the filters can be changed (I
would like to get filter functions that are as close as possible to those
of the human eye). The intensity resolution should be a true 8 bits per
color, preferably on a log intensity scale. I would appreciate pointers to
any commercial services that offer this sort of thing. Failing that,
I would like to know where I could purchase such equipment.
