That one bothered me a lot: I think Zelazny didn't know Ganelon was
Oberon until a couple of books later.  There was too much that didn't
fit in Guns of Avalon.  I wish Zelazny would plot the whole series before
writing the first book ... it seems to have worked well for Tolkien,
Eddings (Belgariad), Wolfe (New Sun), and Cook (Black Company).

Did anybody else notice that the blue crystal cavern is a parallel with the
Arthurian legend?  That other Merlin was imprisoned in a crystal cave
by Nimue, a sorceress he was teaching, according to one version.
