Me too, I withhold my flame. But I will try a related topic:
Pretty soon I can imagine the following appearing in nlang.india

``Wanted: Green card holder for 21 year old, domesticated, fair, BSc graduate".

Arggg. Besides, I forgot to mention the dowry amount.

Here is another topic worth pursuing.
Guess what, living here can make one think that all's well everywhere,
till I heard that dowry is not dead but very alive - here in the US.
The difference is that the amount is smaller - by a factor of at least
ten - you see a dollar is over ten rupees, the demands sensibly enough are
in the local currency. Any one have opinions about this?

How many (guys) have decided that this is evil and will not support it in
any way and try to change as many minds as possible when they visit the
homeland?

How many (girls) have decided the same?

Any success stories? Or does everyone think this issue is dead and gone?

Someday girl, I don't know when, we're gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go,
And we'll walk in the sun
But till then tramps like us
Baby we were born to run
