*Grumble*

I'm not quite ready to flame this, but at least I'll grumble
a bit. What is this "strong female protagonist" puppy-barf?
I've never been interested in seeking out books with "strong
female protagonists," I just like good books. Robin McKinley's
BEAUTY is a very, very good book. Her writing is as simple
as Gene Wolfe's is complex, and every bit as delightful to
read. As any good book does, it has a good, fun story, and
a great deal more. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading.
