When the Delta L-1011 crashed in Dallas recently it seemed like
all of the papers and TV reports blamed it on 'wind shear'. Everything
I've heard about that crash sounds like he flew in and out of a
microburst on final approach.

Isn't there a difference between the two and which caused the Delta crash?
