			WORK HISTORY

6-85 to Honeywell, Billerica, MA
Present
Testing Honeywell's port of Bell System III Unix, with
emphasis on Termcaps, Curses, and Vi.

2-85 to SAIC Comsystems, San Diego, CA
5-85
Application development as a member of ADDCOMPE(Army-Darpa
		Distributed Communications Processing Experiment). App-
lication aimed at lower echelon battle synchronization
and control through a packet radio based network. Appli-
cation used DMA(Defense Mapping Agency) data to create
terrain maps with military symbols indicating land feat-
ures and friendly and enemy positions and weapons. These
maps could be edited, sent and recieved along with standard
military messages. Developed in 'C' on Sun MicroSysytems
using Sun Windows and Sun Core Graphics. Communicated to
		GRiD Compass computer.

1-85 to Artecon, Inc., Carlsbad, CA
2-85
Developed GKS (Graphics Kernel Standard) input devices in
'C' on a Sun MicroSystem (BSD 4.2 Unix) that interfaced with
the RasterTech 110, and 180 intelligent programmable graphics
monitor. Wrote a lexical analyzer for, and implemented a
subset of a graphics command language.

1-84 to SoftCraft, Inc., Marina Del Rey, CA
6-84
Wrote utility apllication for a multiple font printing
package.('C' and MSDOS on IBM XT)

1-84 to Quadratron Systems Inc., Encino, CA
10-84
Ported Quadratron office automation software to Coherent
(Unix derivative) and MSDOS on the IBM XT, Compaq,
Rainbow and Nixdorf computers. Developed emulation library
in 8086 and 'C' to provide Unix functions on MSDOS, and a
fast ANSI screen driver with area attributes and boxes for
the IBM XT. Designed and integrated simple database
functions into existing menu system to allow creation
and manipulation of databases from within a menu.

3-83 to System Development Corporation, Santa Monica, CA
1-84
Department of Defense military network development
project. In three person team designed multi-level
secure kernel as a message oriented network operating
system. Based on Intel 80286. Used ICE 286, Intel NDS,
VAX running BSD 4.1 and VAX running VMS/EUNICE. Worked
		in 'C' and PLM.

4-82 to Raytheon Data Systems, Thousand Oaks, CA
1-83
Rewrote, fixed and added functionality to a keystroke
emulator for testing word processor system and recording tests. Classes in Unix internals and Unix programming. Used HP64000,
Intel MDS, ICE 8080, 8085 and a PDP 11/70 running Xenix.

2-81 to Systems Consultants, Inc., San Diego, CA
2-82
Co-designed quality assurance and testing procedures
for large Navy missile control system (Department of
Defense). Wrote a data cataloging mulituser database
program to keep track of and cross reference all data
in the project. This program wrote the data specifi-
cation portions of the formal spec. Developed in Fortran
77 on SEL running MPX-32. Troubleshooting and analysis
of project interfaces. Converted and updated a 10 year
old COBOL accounting system program to run on top of
ORACLE relational database for the Pacific Fleet
division of the Navy. Used COBOL on VAX 11/750 running
VMS. Classes in ORACLE and SQL database query language.

10-79 to	NCR Systems Division, San Diego, CA
1-81
Debugged, maintained and enhanced the NCR 9400 hardware
simulator (written in PASCAL) and worked with the
compiler, assembler and operating system groups in its
use. Wrote the string functions for the NCR 8500 PASCAL
compiler (in NCR assembler). Designed and developed a
performance analysis program for the 8500 in PASCAL.
Wrote part of the 8400 virtual machine test bed.

5-79 to Nuclear Structure Lab, SUNY Stony Brook, NY
9-79
Operated and used PDP 11/34 running RT-11. Worked in
6502 and Macro II assemblers. Wired prototype 6502
based micro from diagram. Eprom programming, hex
		dump analysis.
