I just got my renewal notice today...even though my agent told me I
can't renew, because they aren't licensed in Colorado (I just moved
from California). After reading some of the articles from the folks
in New Jersey, I thought I'd add some further insight.

CAR: 1974 Mustang II, 4cyl. economy version
PREVIOUS RESIDENCE: Garden Grove, CA

BREAKDOWN OF CHARGES:

Bodily injury: $25K/$50K........$256
Property Damage: $10K............. 130
Medical Payments: $1K/person....... 56
Uninsured: $15K/$30K........ 17
Collision: $100 deductable.. 183
Comprehensive: $50 deductable... 43
Waiver of Collision
    Deducatable: Endorsement 31943 7
				   ----
				   $692

These charges are for SIX MONTHS coverage. Granted, my record is not spotless,
but it goes back a few years, and nothing has happened since. And nothing
started to happen until I moved to Southern California. Out there, everyone
should be driving Sherman Tanks.

By the way, does anyone know what "Waiver of collision deducatble-endorsement
31943" means?

All I can say is I'm glad I'm now in good ol' semi-rural Colorado. I just
might live longer.
