I was informed by an irate Tiger-Cat fan that the CFL standings I posted
last week were one week out of date. (I was out of the country for three
weeks so I lost track of how many games were played, so when I picked up the
old standings I didn't realize that they were old.) Personally, I like the
out of date standings I posted last week better, since they had the scumbag
Tiger-Cats in last, where they belong. It breaks my heart to see my beloved
Argos a game behind the Tiger-Cats (It's not the fact that they're in last
that bothers us Argo fans, it's the fact that they're behind the 'Cats!),
but here goes anyway:

EAST GP W L F A PTS
Montreal Concordes 12 6 6 237 240 12
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 12 5 7 257 263 10
Ottawa Rough Riders 12 5 7 209 327 10
Toronto Argonauts 11 4 7 253 297 8
(Hamilton is 2nd because they have a win over Ottawa.)

WEST GP W L F A PTS
British Columbia Lions 11 10 1 344 176 20
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 12 9 3 371 182 18
Edmonton Eskimos 11 7 4 290 277 14
Saskatchewan Roughriders 12 4 8 241 329 8
Calgary Stampeders 11 2 9 187 297 4
(The top 3 teams in each division make the playoffs.)

It looks like we're back to having all the good teams in the West,
the way it was before 1982.

OTHER NEWS:
The Stampeders have given up on veteran quarterback Joe Barnes, who was having
a horrible season. He has been traded to the badly slumping Concordes. I'm
not sure what the Concordes are planning on doing with their other three QB's.
