The association between Alzheimer's disease and aluminum, which is found in elevated levels in brain tissue of Alzheimer's victims, is believed by most workers in the field to be a _result_ of their abnormal brain metabolism, not a causal factor. This is based in part on epidemiological studies that show that workers in the aluminum industry do not have an elevated risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. I wouldn't worry about cooking with aluminum pans. Ellen Murphy (allegra!phri!murphy)
