I also recall a recent posting in which someone mentioned a link
between psychology and demonology, with some implication that this
was an archaic idea.  Among Szasz's other books is `The Manufacture
of Madness', a sort of social history in which he compares modern
psychotherapy to withcraft.  I always recommend Szasz to anyone 
considering a long-term investment in psychotherapy.  He has done
his homework and gives you a perspective that is a substantial
departure from that of the layman.
