I started XC skiing a few years ago and have been using cable bindings with
my size 15 hiking boots, which give me poor control (I fall on my butt to
avoid trees on curves, etc). I'd very much like to find a manufacturer of
XC ski shoes or boots for the new Salomon bindings or some other kind of
regular XC bindings, for better control and lighter weight, etc. I've talked
to various outlets in town, who have boots up to ski boot size 49 (13-14?),
but my big toe still is not happy.

Does anyone have any suggestions? For regular shoes I can go to tall/big
mens shops or order from the Kingsize (tm) catalog, but apparently not
many big men go XC skiing. I'm a tall guy at 5 foot 26, so the feet are
proportional.

thx for any help, Dave Rasmussen
