A visitor from India wants to take a Personal Computer back to India.
We were wondering if anyone knows the import-laws and custom-duties for
taking something like the IBM-PC. I understand that the duties have been
considerably reduced but there are still some restrictions (e.g. memory
has to be less than 64k)

Or is there are some place where one can write to or phone and get some
quick answers.

Also, do these duties and laws hold if one is a CS student and is taking a
computer home with her/him.

Thanks in advance
