The creation of net.nlang.spanish is a good idea but I think it should
be called net.nlang.iberian to cover all ethno-linguistic groups which
originate or have some connection to the iberian peninsula or who have
major contacts with such ethno-linguistic groups (purposefully
recursive definition to cover Quencha and Nahuatl and other Indian
language speaking groups). Therefore topics relating to Basques,
Brazilians or Catalan might also appear in this group. However, I do
not believe Spanish, Portugese, Catalonian, Basque language articles
should be restricted to this newsgroup. People might want to discuss
LAN's in one of these languages. Such an article would belong in
net.lan and not net.nlang.iberian.
