We have used cloth diapers almost exclusively for the last year. We much prefer them and so does our daughter. We have found though that they do soak through rather quickly so we most often "double diaper". That is fold 2 diapers together. When we used only 1 layer, we would occasionaly get leaks. Also be sure that the plastic pants are not too small. We found that running the pin through your hair will lubricate the pin and make pinning easier. We don't find that it is any slower to use cloth than to have used disposable. (and yes we have used both).
