I'm not really a trivia buff, but I can't resist posting this
question just to see if anyone out there can guess the answer, so
here goes.

You may remember that in the 1973 World Series (A's vs Mets) a man
named Mike Andrews played 2B for Oakland and made two crucial errors
in game 2 allowing the Mets to win in extra innings. Charlie O'Finley's
reaction was to try to place Andrews on the Disabled List so he could
call up a minor leaguer to take his place on the roster.
Question: Who was the minor leaguer that Charlie O. tried to replace
             Andrews with?

Send your answers/guesses to me, please don't post them. Just to
make this more interesting I thought we should have a prize for the
winner, so the first person to send me the correct answer will get a
free bowl of Cheerios! That should motivate everyone.

The question's too tough? Ok, Ok, I'm a reasonable person, so
here's a hint which may or maynot help you.

Hint #1: He is a former Montreal Expo.

I'll post another hint in 2-3 days and I'll post the answer in
about a week. In the meantime you'd better hurry with your answers
because I sense that those Cheerios won't last long.
