According to "Dr. Who, A Celebration," Part one of "IotD" was "purged"
from the BBC archives, due to the fact:
  Part one was named only "Invasion" - to keep the dinosours a secret.
   
    Troughton had done a different show, called "Invasion" and the BBC decided
    to purge them. Episode 1 of IoD went with it, due to the above naming.
     
As I understand it, the BBC does not have ANY copies of episode 1 of Invasion
of the Dinosours...
 
  I hope that I am wrong.
