Message-ID: <610@mtuxn.UUCP> Date: Tue, 6-Aug-85 17:32:41 EDT Article-I.D.: mtuxn.610 Posted: Tue Aug 6 17:32:41 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 10-Aug-85 22:14:47 EDT Organization: AT&T Information Systems, Holmdel NJ Lines: 18 Xref: linus net.micro:10130 net.analog:407 We are investigating the possibility of obtaining Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) for use with our 3B2s. Hopefully these devices would keep the computers sane when the thunder-boomers come round. I have just read an article in Bell Labs News (Aug. 5) which says AT&T actually makes these things! Does anyone out there have experience with AT&T UPSs? Are they available with communications ports to tell the 3B2 to shut down gracefully when line power dies? Anyone want to comment on other vendor's equipment? Please Email responses to me and I will summarize to the net. Thanks in advance.
