Because after the roads have been constructed, I can drive my motorcycle
on them.  Or ride my bicycle on them.  Since these things are fun, and since
if I didn't live in such a world I'd probably be dead, (which I don't think
would be quite as much fun), I continue to live in this road-infested world.

One question I'd like to ask:
Why construct a road if you're going to cover it with gravel (as they do
here in Central Illinois), making it unsafe for motorcycles and unrideable
on bicycles?
