Garcia, a 35yr old Milwaukee auto mechanic, had expressed concern about his hair loss, voicing the fear that "I would be the only [bald] one." His brother first had the idea of going bald, and within a few days about 50 friends and relatives had followed suit. Additionally, Garcia's wife and daughter had their hair cut short, and Garcia said, "They were willing to shave it off, but I didn't want them too." Mrs. Garcia said her husband looked 100% better after the show of support, and Garcia pronounced himslef "ready for anything." from AP/American Medical News, Aug 2., p.13.
