But I do not see how Chuqui's article (to which Mark's >is a followup), which is full of negative judgments, condemnations and >implications that he is "better" than some of us, is going to help us move in >that direction. I think you misread the article completely, Greg. I certainly don't think that I'm "better" than any particular person out there on the net. The recent drivel I've been spouting in net.news (talk about a loss of objectivity and tolerance... *sigh*) is a GREAT example of that I never implied that I was better, in fact I included myself in the list of proselytizers as well, since I'm the only Zen Druid I can think of on the net currently. There were negative judgements. True. There were condemnations. True again. But they were observations and judgements against attitudes and not people. I specifically refused to mention any names because to some degree almost all of us are guilty of the problems I mentioned. If the article bothered you (that is a generic, net-wide you), then you ought to look at yourself and see if you are part of the problem instead of part of the cure. If you don't think so, then you have nothing to worry about. I certainly don't plan on burning mistletoe on your porch... -- Chuq Von Rospach nsc!chuqui@decwrl.ARPA {decwrl,hplabs,ihnp4}!nsc!chuqui Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!
