OK... Someone sent me e-mail on San Diego and it keeps getting
returned...I don't like to have to post this but it's the only
way out.

Ann

....The original article (from which my vitriolic ones about San
Diego were born) was posted several weeks ago, and had something to
do with there being a 61:39 male:female ratio among 25-34 year
olds in San Diego.

Sorry if I offended you. I was born and raised in San Diego, and
really grew to hate most of the people I knew there over time.
Until I went to Gompers Jr/sr High, I at least *felt* persecuted.
And it is my (completely subjective) opinion that especially for
young people, one doesn't stand much of a chance there unless one
fits the physical norms. Being quite "cherubic" in appearance,
I didn't. I could never get a job there, and in fact was told by
one place that they wouldn't hire me because I ws "too ugly" to
work at the counter. (and of course they wouldn't think of havin
me work "behind the scenes" because that is what the _men_ (who
certainly didn't have to be good-looking-- I knew most of them)
did.) (I guess that should be "boys" -- most were in the 16-20
age group).

Maybe being older would help... I'm only 21.

Again, my apologies.

Ann
