The concept of 'alive' is not so well defined as some think! I think it appalling at best to compare human life to a cancer cell. This cell will simply grow out of control and disfigure, kill and mame. Why not compare human life to any cell at all, such as those found in human excretments. Since you have reduced human life to any arbitrary form of life, you can just as easily kill it as you would an ant or slug and never have to think twice about it. Cancer cells will never grow to hug and love you, appreciate your kindness, giveyou joy and happiness or fill up empty hours unless you consider the pain and horror of cancer as fulfillment. A cell does not life transcend.
