Taking my life into my own fingers, I would like to question what is
the purpose of net.singles.

Now, I've only been on a month, but that means I've read at least a
thousand messages. From most of them, re and counter re's, there
seems to be a fierce game of one upmanship going on. I have seen
innocent statements picked apart and subjects continued far longer
than the original message ever intended being worried about.

On the other side of the coin, there seems to be many serious
discussions where each participant was not out to shoot another down
but to merely state his opinion. This is great. What better way to
describe ones self than through expounding of one's beliefs.

In many ways net.singles seems to be a valve for it's members to
just talk. I am personally interested in seeing more of a variety
in subjects, and in this vein I hope to get myself to change from an
observer's point of view to that of a participant. So, hello all.
I am very glad to make your aquaintances and I hope my mailbox will
be filled with greetings from any who want to get to know someone
new.
