Over the years of my life I have lived with my family, lived in a dorm (really
a larger family), lived with friends, lived with my wife, lived alone, lived
with a SO, and now live alone. Living alone has the advantages of being on my
own schedule, etc., but it has (for me) several major disadvantages. Among
these are: additional expense, additional work (cleaning, shopping), disinclin-
ation to cook for one, and the lack of a "built-in emotional support-system".
I really do like having my own apartment, but at times I ponder the emotional
-physical-financial cost.

I certainly do not feel that living alone is "unnatural," but it definitely
has its unpleasantries.
