I invoked searchd then ran search -- and it hung forever. ^C wouldn't get me out either, so I hung-up, tried again, same thing. searchd was still alive, by the way. I sent it a kill -INT to clean up, but I don't know what I did wrong. I didn't install the posted fixes -- is that my problem? Bill Stoll, ..!whuxlm!wws
