My friend and I are planning a bike trip in Quebec for the first week
of September. The Gaspe peninsula is our first choice, but we have
some questions about it. First, are the roads there good for biking
(either not very busy, or having a reasonable shoulder)? On our map,
it looks like there is mainly one road, route 132, which makes a large
loop. Are there other routes we should consider? Second, just how
mountainous is it?

We're also considering going to the St. Laurent Bas area; the travel
books we've looked at don't emphasize its natural beauty as much as
they do the Gaspe peninsula's, but it looks like it might be an easier
place to find nice bike routes.

We would really like any information about biking in southeastern
Quebec (pointers, experiences, suggestions for places we've
overlooked).

Please send responses to me, and I will summarize them for everyone.
Thanks in advance!
