Not even close. The Martian trilogy (originally published as by
Edward P. Bradbury) was published in 1965. Moorcock wrote and
published dozens of short stories prior to this, some of them
being cobbled together into book form. He also published two
novels that didn't already appear as short pieces, including a
novel in the Sexton Blake mystery series (as by Desmond Reid).
