Yes, the guys probably do take notice when a woman with a strikingly
different appearance, such as that generated by conspicuous make-up,
walks into the room.  They also notice lightning, sirens, and train
wrecks.  Anything you do that makes you different will make you stand
out in the crowd -- will get you "noticed".  Then what?
