The stuff has been used for a long time; in fifteen years I have not perceived a difference in the feel of my records, although the old, old LP's of the forties and fifties were made out of quite different stuff. It strikes me that polymer science has progressed tremendously in the last decade - just look at McDonald's milk shakes! New polymers undoubtedly exist which are more durable (not just harder) and, perhaps more importantly, are electrically conductive. Does anyone out there have any news along these lines?
