You can set the point at which the vt220 decides to send an XOFF in the communications setup menu; if you set this to ``No XOFF'' it'll just hum right along. (Usenet public spirit over commercial considerations dept.: This also works with the Unipress/Gosling edition of Emacs.) (Disclaimer: I personally believe that the DEC vt220 is not a terminal to be tossed aside lightly.
