I just finished reading Killing Time by Della Van Hise. I picked it up at
the local Target department store (in Boulder). They had LOTS of copies.
Mini-review- it's a very good book- comparable to The Wounded Sky in quality.
Some really good humor- "Don't put on that red shirt for shore leave duty!
You're chances of coming back aren't good. You can borrow my blue one."
(Paraphrased- my copy is at home.) There is a scene where Spock is in Pon Farr,
but the "bawdy" content is no more explicit than Rhett Butler slamming the
bedroom door in Gone with the Wind. I found it to be true to Star Trek canon-
and can't figure out what Paramount is complaining about. I would recommend it
highly- it moves fast, and is really captivating, so don't plan on putting it
down once you start it. (So, what's a couple of hours of lost sleep!)
