I have used both Nasalide and Beconase. I am allergic to most tree
pollens and grasses and molds. The beconase afforded me a small
amount of relief but not worth the large expense ($16/month).
The nasalide had a definite side effect. I would get nauseous when
I used it and remain so for half and hour after each use. Also the
upset got worse with each application. Needless to say, I gave it
up. My allergist was very disappointed since he thinks it is a very
useful drug. Now I control the hassles of my allergies with
shots and anti-histamines (I am on a constant supply of them and
so they don't make me sleepy after a few days of taking them).
This does not stop the allergies but it does leave me functional.
