The gyroscopes used for inertial guidance in missiles consist of a precision machined hollow beryllium sphere magnetically levitated in a vacuum. Pointers to descriptions of the magnetic field used for these devices and the generation of these fields would be appreciated. Non-classified documents, please :-). Thanks in advance, Mark Thorson (...!cae780!weitek!mmm)
