(also Shada) Message-ID: <599@mtung.UUCP> Date: Fri, 9-Aug-85 13:32:01 EDT Article-I.D.: mtung.599 Posted: Fri Aug 9 13:32:01 1985 Date-Received: Tue, 13-Aug-85 01:49:43 EDT Organization: AT&T Information Systems Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ Lines: 22 Best Doctor has to be William Hartnell (Doctor 1). Then Patrick Troughton (Doctor 2), then (early) Tom Baker (Doctor 4). As for best companions: I would choose Lethbridge-Stewart (Nicholas Courtney) for the male, then Jamie (Fraser Hinds, I think). Female would be Romana 1 (Mary Tamm) followed closely by Romana 2 (Lalla Ward), Leela (Louise Jameson) and Zoe (?). As you can guess, I can't to see "An Unearthly Child" again (Hooray for New Jersey Network!). Re Shada (incomplete Tom Baker episode scavenged for "The Five Doctors") my understanding is that there was not enough of it taped to permit even a severely chopped version to be shown. Taping ceased after one day (or so) which had been spent taping the outdoor scenes. Consequently they have all these but no indoor ones. Naturally the outdoor scenes are scattered throughout the episodes, so there is no hope that they will ever be shown, except possibly as a curiosity. -- Jonathan Clark [NAC]!mtung!jhc
