We're looking around for information on two kinds of workstations.

1) Lisp machine.  Like the Symbolics machine.
   We have some faculty/graduate students working with expert systems.
   Actually, they would prefer a prolog machine to a lisp machine......
   Xerox machines are too expensive.  It will also need to fit into 
   the network we're building.  We're currently only running 3bnet,
   but have a 4.2 based vax and should be getting more machines that
   run tcp/ip so will be moving to that eventually.
2) High powered single user computation.  Something like a Sun
   with a network file system, et. al.  But with a price like an ibm-pc/at.
   This will be part of the renovation of our mini/micro lab.  So we
   really need as many of these machines as possible, and have limited
   funds.  It will have to run unix as we don't have the manpower to support
   many operating systems.  A network file system isn't vital.  But
   an attachment to our ethernet is (we're currently running 3bnet, but
   once there's another tcp/ip machine the vax will be on the ether also).
