I do NOT mean this as an insult, or a personal attack...merely an opinion. I understand what is being said about "wanting to appear different" from other people...and this applies to both feminine makeup, and punk styles. Just two days ago, my SO and I were having this conversation when we saw four women who all looked identical. (Same hair cut, same makeup, etc.) However, punk styles are the opposite end of the coin. To me, a punk style (like orange hair and a chisle thru the cheek) implies: "notice me for the sake of my different LOOK, because I can't stand out on my personality alone."
