I am trying to use the refer package with the -me macros
under 4.2 BSD. In some of my references I have a "%O"
field to denote things like "working paper" or "submitted
for publication". The -me macros appear unable to handle this
field correctly. I have been getting around it by trimming
off the bibliography and running it through roff with the -ms
macros (which seem to handle the "%O" field just fine).
This is not a pleasant solution and is not feasible when
using footnotes rather than endnotes.

Helpful hints would be appreciated.
