I am in the same boat as Paula Sanch[ez?]; my mailer doesn't undigestify,
and sometimes I have to read at 300 baud.  Those *long* critical articles,
which don't especially interest me, seem to take forever.  On the other hand,
I feel that anyone with a valid point on SF should be allowed to post (though
I might make an exception on Davis Tucker's vituperative post in #326.)

I propose that long critical articles be saved and sent out in single-topic
issues, and not in other issues.  This has been done with other topics in
the past.  That way, those who are interested will have a whole issue to
play with, and those who are not can flush the issue.
