Assasination attempt foiled! Turkish spy sought!
Duchy Of Grand Fenwick, Agence Recherch Tactique
Special to L'Osservatore
Late this afternoon, reports were recieved from friendly sources warning
of a plot to assasinate the Minister of Information, Cardinal Charles
de Medici. The secret police immediately put into effect
counter-measures designed to prevent the assasination, and capture the
criminal. While making his regular tour of St. Peter's square, the
Cardinal was fired upon from the crowd by a man believed to be a
Turkish agent. Fortunately, due to the extreme ineptness of the
assasin, the Cardinal was unhurt. Analysis of the weapon shows it to be
of Bulgarian manufacture. Authorities are seeking a man known as
"Mehmet Ali Agca" for questioning.
