Regarding a note posted a few weeks ago about a SASI/SCSI interface for the
Mac, has anyone actually TRIED one of these? According to the poster, DMS
Design offers Xebec S1410 software sources and a host adapeter board that
plugs into the ROM sockets with one extra wire for $150. He also claimed,

>If you have access to cheap hard disks and controllers -- you can have a
>hard disk on your mac for less than $500.

All this sounds too good to be true. The address for the company was
	Fastime
	464 Marsh St Suite A
	PO box 12508
	San Luis Obispo, Calif 93406
or {fortune, amd, dual, hpda, idi}!dmsd!bass (John Bass). Any positive
responses are probably worth posting directly, but you can send me mail if
you'd rather (I'd summarize, of course).
