    No - he's not being a pessimist, he's being a cynic. There is a
difference. I'm never a pessimist, but I'm becoming more and more
cynical all the time. This is not to say that I agree with Edwin,
because I do not.

	I'm glad that it helped Chris. It's good to know that this
newsgroup does do some good. Don't let Ed's comment get to you too much
though. You have to admit that the discussion did degenerate somewhat,
But all in all I think it was a good thing to talk about, and
it was one of the few discussions that until the very end kept going
without people screaming at each other and calling each other names. It
started out as talking about a real problem that many of us face, and
people gave their opinions calmly, and gave each other support. I got
letters from people saying that they could sure use a hug, and also
appreciation for some of the articles that I posted. It seems to me that
this is the kind of thing that this newsgroup should do more often.
