If you flow along with everyone else, you're going >to get a speeding ticket sooner or later. i reject the premise that you will get rear-ended driving at 55 on the highways. especially if you are courteous and stay to the right. has anyone out there ever been rear-ended while doing 55? has anyone out there rear-ended others that were going 55? if you are going to rear-end someone when they are going 55 and you are going 65, imagine the pile ups that would occur when the other people that are going 65 slow down to 45 when they get that radar signal warning. the fact is, if you are driving faster as a result of everyone else going fast, then you can tell there's a cop when everyone in front of you hits their brakes...if you ever take your eyes off the rear bumper of the car in front of you and if you are not tailgating in addition to speeding. the threat of getting caught for speeding keeps me at reasonable speeds.
