Whenever I read someone's kvetching about women's desires for
foreplay, I'm always reminded of Woody Allen's
_Everything_You_Always_Wanted_to_Know_About_Sex_, specifically
the vignette where the Italian husband (Woody Allen) is trying to
get his wife to show some interest in sex. She's lying there
looking bored, and he's running his hands up and down her body
chanting (at least according to the subtitles)
"foreplay ... foreplay ..."

As long as (some) men see foreplay as something that's done
_to_ the woman, and not something that's done for fun (or as long
as the woman concerned perceives that to be the case -- not the
same thing, I'll concede), the women I know will forgo the foreplay.

As far as afterplay and "going slower" goes, what time of the
day(night) is this happening? With some of my former partners, I
was always tempted to sing that song by Genya Ravan and the Ten
Wheel Drive: "I Usually Like It in the Morning Much Better" :-)

And if none of the above applies to your situations, Seth, then
all I can do is quote Liza Minelli in _Cabaret_:

"They just must've been the wrong three girls"(sic) :-)
