Forget FB, go with EnGarde. Expires: Sender: Followup-To: Keywords: Anyone have a copy of both "Flashing Blades" (by Mark Pettigrew, FGU) and "EnGarde" (GDW) ? Amazingly similar. No credit is given to "EnGarde", either. FB is slightly expanded in certain places, and talks about the clergy, but EG is the better value. Forget both the games' duelling systems and use that by Tom Moldvay for Lords of Creation (it appeared in Heroes, The AH Game Co.'s F&SF game mag). (You don't need a copy of LoC to use the system.) I'm surprised by (and disappointed in) Mark Pettigrew. His EPT/S&G stuff isn't bad, either. Tsk, tsk.
