Summary: What's so special about PMS?

This whole topic has been driven off into the rut at the side of the
road, just like most before it. But like a fool rushing in where
the wise fear to tread, I'd like to add my $.02 as to why this whole
issue is all blown out of proportion.

I have sinus trouble. When I have a sinus headache, I can be quite
grouchy. This sometimes happens in a work situation (especially in
a meeting where someone is smoking), and I'm certain you could say it
affects my competence. But I'd like to think I'm professional enough
not to let it affect me *too* much.

This is just an example. There are zillions of other physical
conditions that can affect competence. PMS is just one. It likely
affects roughly the same number of people as do sinus problems,
allergies, hypoglycemia, tension headaches, etc, ad nauseum. And as
near as I can see, THE ONLY REASON PMS IS AN ISSUE IS BECAUSE IT
AFFECTS ONLY WOMEN. Can you say ``sexism''?? Uh huh...
