While the PE program is sort of like XEDIT in some ways it requires the use of its own manual. Kedit on the other hand requires that you read a one page list of differences between K and Xedit. Anyone who is used to Xedit on an IBM mainframe can run Kedit without the manual. To say that Kedit does everything that Xedit does would be selling Kedit short. Along with being 100 per cent compatable it provides extra features not available on a 3278 type screen. Anyone who uses Xedit on a regular basis on a mainframe will find Kedit an indispensable tool on his/her pc. It's just to bad that IBM couldn't provide these tools. Kedit can be purchased from: Mansfield Software Group PO Box 532 Storrs, Ct 06268 I am not affiliated with the above in any way other than being a satisfied customer. Also, try contacting an IBM branch office, or something like that; they might give you a XEDIT manual free.
