All of the original principle owners of speaker lab are gone, they
sold out around 1980 or so. The new owners are in business for money
only and that small company attitude based on satisfied repeat
customers is gone. So is much of the value!! The new management thinks
they can sell high priced speakers based on the old speakerlab reputation
without providing the service that gave the previous company it's reputation.

They falsly believe they can make more money by avoiding the personalized
service of the past. They are marking up prices much more than in the past
again to make more money. I suggest people look for better value than
speakerlab currently offers.
