Does anyone have any programs (or subroutines) for doing text translation?
What we need are things like:

	1. Numbers to words (e.g. 123 -> one hundred twenty-three)
	2. Abbreviations to the words they stand for (e.g. st. -> street)
	3. Dollars and cents to English (e.g. $123.45 -> English)
	4. Acronyms -> the words they stand for

Basically the routines needed do text expansion, for something like a
text to speech system. Any language will do....
