What reason? I think that this type of paranoid thought pattern is just plain stupid. After all if Ronald blew up the world, the effect of starting a war with the Soviet Union, none of his rich industrial magnate types that put him where he is would be able to bleed the peasants of the world for any more of their meager earnings. Ronald Regan is at least smart enough to know who butters his bread. Besides taken in context it had a sort of low key humor. Taken out of context ie the way the media portrayed it (insert maximum scandelous news value here) it was alarming (insert fishhook in mouth bite hard and flame at ronnie). If some overpaid underintelligent news fool hadn't asked the stupid question in the first place ronnie would never have responded so flippantly. Let's face it the media in this country is *show business* not unbiased reporting. Until that is changed (insert never) we will not have accurate news reports. If you need to worry about someone starting a nuclear war I suspect that *everyone* should worry more about the bombs that Iran or the PLO will build sooner or later. I know one thing for sure I wouldn't live in a major american city, as they are probably going to put a suitcase bomb in a bus terminal someday soon and then no one will be able to stop what those ignorant camel herders will have started.
