Well, let me amend that to "S3 binaries"; S5 COFF binaries can't be executed
by vanilla 4.2BSD, although the changes required are (relatively) localized
(unless you want to execute demand-paged binaries from S5R2V2, in which case
the fact that S5R2V2 is basically modeling a segmented/paged MMU on the VAX
hardware, and as such wants to put segments on 64KB boundaries, will bite
you - you can still do it, but it reaches the point of diminishing
returns...)
