It's net.singles' third anniversary, and I thought you might like
to see a repeat of the very first article, submitted by me three
years ago (has it really been THREE YEARS!?).
The "suggested" topics might STILL be relevant!

WELCOME to net.singles!
I received quite a few replies to my original
notice - enough to warrant starting the group. All replies were
from males, a couple were from married men, and I got one
flame saying I shouldn't post to net.general. Several
hoped the group would not become a "market place". I assume
they meant the classified ad type of thing - I concur.
One reply suggested the name net.lonely-hearts. I'm sure he had
his tongue planted in his cheek, but it does bring up a possible
opening subject: stereotypes of singles.
Are all singles lonely? Are we in a transitory state just waiting
to get married? Are we all hedonists? Do we all have red 'vettes,
condos, and the latest clothes? Do we only go to swinging
singles bars? Are we all "swinging"? My life experience says
"no" to all of the above. What do you think? I hope all
contributers to this group will feel free to say how
they REALLY feel (I'm sure you will!) and to submit comments
on ANY topic to do with single life.
Jump in!
