Some local FM radio stations broadcast stuff like stocks and commodities
on subcarriers. Get a CHEAP fm radio, and feed the audio output to a
PLL for FM subcarrier, or to the antenna of long Wave receiver for AM.
Some of them, like paging services, may use non-standard baud rates
that are related to multiples of the pilot (19000khz) for simplicity.
Even some TV stations are starting to put info on the audio subcarriers.
Since the FCC allowed stereo TV, they opened up a lot of extra space for
the TV broadcasters. This is NOT the same as the VIR stuff they hide,
like channel 9 from Atlanta. BTW, anyone know how the lawsuit over
who owned the VIR time between the Atlanta station and the satelite
people came out?
