Lines: 16 Xref: watmath net.unix-wizards:14525 net.periphs:831 Emulex was able to duplicate the problem we encountered with the TC7000, under VMS, so they found the problem and fixed it. (The problem is that on a read of certain record lengths, the controller will return the correct length but will NOT transfer all of the data into your buffer. If you didn't know what you were reading (or if the data didn't contain a software checksum) you never knew you were missing data!!) They sent us a new set of PROMs (level HX1) to beta test, which I assume will become the standard level I PROMs. Since most TC7000s are level G or H, you will probably want to contact Emulex to get a new set of PROMs, ASAP. The contact in their Tech Support Group for this problem is Wade Woolridge. Richard Stevens Health Systems International, New Haven, CT ihnp4 ! hsi ! stevens
