I've seen some mention of using a sock on a water bottle
for cooling, but the variation I've seen used is a washcloth
folded double and taped around the bottle. This configuration may
be easier to fit in a bottle cage than the sock. Anyway, the washcloth
probably holds more coolant than a sock would.
