I erroneously made the diff of util.c be relative to a pre-distribution
version.  Some of you may have already eliminated the redundant portions
of the files, but if now, here is the correct (and much shorter) patch.
Thanks to rsk for bringing this to my attention.

(I'd still like to hear from people who have installed search and
played it.)
