Lines: 16 Seated one day in a Bob's Big Boy coffee shop waiting for the takeout fish sandwich I noticed that all the cooks were men and all the table servers were women. Thinking back, and consulting with others, it became apparent that there is a universally high correlation along these lines in that sort of establishment. Do cooks get paid more? Why don't women become cooks? Can a man be refused employment as a waitress? Why do higher class restaurants hire waiters almost exclusively? (no witty, self-advertising sign-off blurb) Dick Jackson
