I don't have any advice, but I will relate an amusing anecdote.

My bedroom was, of course, directly under my roomate's.  The noise
(or should I say collection of sounds?) was sporadic, and not very
objectionable.  In fact, I felt somewhat like a voyeur as I listened
to virtually every thing they did or said - such sweet nothings!
(I had told them that I could hear it all, evidently it didn't bother them)

Then one day the bed broke, it hit the floor square, with a thunderous
BONG - followed by her rejoice fo orgasm.

Such entertainment!
