I am trying to put together an 8-track studio, and I don't
have a whole lot of money to spend on it. I have been looking
	at the 8-track TASCAM 38 reel-to-reel and the 8-track FOSTEX A80
reel-to-reel tape decks. The recording qualities seem to be
comparable. However the TASCAM runs for $2200. and the FOSTEX
for $1700. The FOSTEX is not as well-made mechanically.
If I get the FOSTEX, I will also be able to afford a reverb unit
which I wouldn't if I got the TASCAM.
I would appreciate any thoughts or experiences from the readers
	on these two tape decks.
