Or if you're wealthy, attending sf conventions (like the upcoming NASFIC in Austin, Texas, this Labor Day weekend). I'm not much of a fanzine collector. Those who are get them either by paying money or writing letters of comment or trading with their own fanzine or contributing essays/artwork.
