Well, here is a > chance to put your money where your mouth is. I am willing to keep a record > of people's predictions as to which team's will: > > 1) Win each Division > 2) Win the Wild Card spots in each Conference > 3) Win the Conference Championships > 4) Win the Super Bowl > AFC EAST - Miami Dolphins AFC CENTRAL - Pittsburgh Steelers AFC WEST - Seattle Seahawks WILD CARD - New England Patriots WILD CARD - Los Angeles Raiders NFC EAST - Washington Redskins NFC CENTRAL - Chicago Bears NFC WEST - San Francisco 49ers WILD CARD - St. Louis Cardinals WILD CARD - Green Bay Packers AFC CHAMPION - Miami Dolphins NFC CHAMPION - San Francisco 49ers SUPER BOWL CHAMP - San Francisco 49ers NOTES: AFC EAST: The Dolphins have next to no competition in this division and should win it easily. The Patriots are a sure bet for a Wild-Card birth since they have six free wins (courtesy of Jets, Bills & Jolts). The Jolts will win three games this season, only because Art Schlichter will bet against his own team and end up winning!!!! (He's really that bad - Let's hear it for Mike Pagel - There are worse things than being a Packer fan (-:< ). AFC CENTRAL: This division is a joke!!! Pittsburgh's six victories in their own division will be plenty to hold off the rest of the division. I can't imagine anything more exciting than watching the Oilers and Browns stumble over each other in what was intended to be a National Football League contest. No team in this division (other than the Steelers) has a chance for Wild Card unless the Wild Card happens to be a JOKER, in which case the Brown, Bengals & Oilers can all look forward to post-season play. Could anyone out there in net-land let me know what it's like to be a Browns' fan? (-: AFC WEST: My heart is with the Chiefs but I have to be realistic. The Seahawks and Raiders are just to steady. I do reserve the right to place the Broncos in the playoffs if Elway should get injured, however. NFC EAST: The 'Skins are the safe pick here, although I think the Cardinals could eek out the division with the 'Skins getting the Wild-Card. The Gi-Ants could also surprise a few people this year now that they have a (tsk tsk) running game. It's just too bad Phil Simms doesn't have anybody worth throwing to (Sorry Gi-Ant fans, but Lofton, Jefferson & Coffman have thoroughly spoiled me). The most inspiring aspect of this upcoming season is that the Cowpies will probably not even go .500. Yahoo!!!!! NFC CENTRAL: Even though I am a die-hard Packer fan, I have to go with the (puke puke barf) Bears in this division. Hopefully McMahon will get hurt again this year (-: !!! The only other chance the Pack has is that the Bears will be stupid enough to hand-off to Chopped Suhey again this year. NFC WEST: The 49ers appear to be the clear-cut best again. They have a solid defense, diversified offense and sound kicking game. They also have the Saints, Rams & Falcons in their division. The Niners will probably throw for more yardage than those three combined. The Rams are the only other team in this division with a chance for the Wild Card and Mr. Dickerson will have to have even a better year than last if that is going to happen. Well, let's hear the flames!!!!!! Dan Van Handel drutx!dtvh P.S. Isn't this fun???
