Ultrix-32[m] is *derived from* 4.n BSD, not identical.  Having recently gone
through some of the source, I am impressed with this.  So it will never be pos-
sible to say that "Ultrix-32 is now 4.3 BSD"; instead, look at future releases
on the basis of actual features.

As a case in point, Digital has already announced that Ultrix-32[m] V1.2 will be
compatible with SYSV except for record-locking, without surrendering the BSD
features we know (and love?).

Finally: source is definitely available, and I believe Digital has recently even
lowered the price, at least for academic buyers.  Check with your local sales-
person.
