However, as a white male I admit the reality of prejudice. My father, an employee of a large manufacturing concern, once told me that without AA no black, woman, or hispanic would EVER have been hired at his plant because the people doing the hiring flat out HATE blacks, women, & hispanics and do not believe they should be treated equally. I believe this is the unspoken reality of prejudice. In this face of this reality, only something like a government enforced quota can compel these bigots to hire women, blacks, etc. I don't like the idea of the forced hiring of minorities, but can you suggest a practical alternative?
