After installation of the Usenet software (2.10.2) I noticed that expire never ran properly, it always crashed with a message "memory fault - core dumped." After a little while my pile of articles grew and now the same message appears for vnews and readnews. Sometimes I get the message "segmentation fault - core dumped" and the terminal is locked. One observation I made was that the core dumps most of the time (not always) are exactly 64k in size. Is anybody out there who has (hopefully solved) this same problem? The Usenet software is the only one causing me trouble. I have big databases and a word processor running with no complaint at all. Please contact me if you can suggest a cure.
