It certainly is refreshing to see that Ken Perlow has not lost
his naive outlook on life. Soviets are not Mongols. What a line.
If it weren't for guys like Perlow to be the appologists for the
soviets, the net would be a dull place. I'm glad that the world
supply of rose-colored glasses has not diminished and that Mondale
supporters are still up to their necks in Reagan bashing. Next
thing we know, Ken will be calling for a recount of the election.
Makes life exciting to think that there are no baddies anywhere.
Perhaps Ken should post his writings to net.jokes, they certainly
have been good for a laugh. Or better yet, he and Rich Rosen
could set up a dirrect line between each other and they could both
keep telling each other how perfect everything is in the world
with the soviets around. I don't know what we could call their
philosophies, but they sure give true liberals a bad name.
Perhaps they could be called "rosies" to match their outlooks
on life.

Well, Ken, I don't know if you realize this or not, but I don't
know of anyone who thinks that the average Ivan Lunchpail is
any kind of threat or any different than our own Fred Factoryface.
They just live in two different areas of the world. What folks
get upset about is the actions of that 2 or 3 percent of the
soviets who do want to bash the US of A. It is that small
percentage who are in control Ken. It is that small percentage
who are willing to do anything possible to get one up on the
US. It is that small percentage who see to it that they get
the technical knowledge through their flunkies around the world.
It is that small percentage who set up groups like technica or
whatever to skim off the information. It is that small percentage
who are screwing up the lives of countless millions of people
including Ivan Lunchpail. Take off the glasses Perlow. Stop
appologizing for every soviet action. I would be interested in
hearing how you explain away the soviet attitude towards soviet
jewery. Could you further explain to us your reaction to the
East German terrorist training camp? Perhaps you could further
enlighten us with your preception of the arming of the Syrians
with the only antiaircraft weapons ever placed outside soviet
borders (and this before the US ever became involved in the ME).
Maybe, when you have finished appologizing for those actions, you
could assuage our feelings about why the soviets are maintaining
a million man standing army on the Chinese border? Or perhaps
you would care to enlighten us as to why the soviets are
bombing and straffing Afgan mountain folk into oblivion? Don't
bother to answer if all you are going to say is "Well, the US is
doing thus and so, so it's OK for the soviets." That kind of
argument won't wash. Remember, if it's not Ok for the US, then
perhaps it's not OK for the soviets. On the other hand, if you
are going to appologize for soviet actions, then I can appologize
for US actions. Right?

You too can see the soviets as a benign, loving giant who only
wants to cuddle the world. Pay no attention to the cracking
sounds you may hear, that's only your neck being crushed under
the boot.
