Interestingly enough, function 37 also accept 2 and 3 as valid
inputs in AL, but it isn't clear from tracing DOS what those numbers
mean.  Anyone in netland know?

in DOS 3.0, function 2 simply returns 0xFF in DL; function 3 returns with
no effect at all.  other values of AL cause AL==0xFF on return.  not so
interesting after all.
