Lines: 6 I have always heard single vx. double density to refer to bits per track, while quad density was loosly used to mean 98 tpi or any other method of giving twice the amount of storage available from double density (double density on a double sided 5 1/4" is approx 316k - 370k, and so quad means >=600k.) --henry schaffer
