Good point!  Either you are right, or this is strong support for the
"nurture" side of the "nature vs. nurture" intelligence debate, or we should
use the word "educated" in place of "intelligent".

I will opt for the last of these.  I think strong forces exist to make
people who are "beautiful" not become well-educated.  (Not that some
people don't overcome it.)  At some point, simply being well-educated
becomes as important as being intelligent. Both of these are infinitely
better than being "beautiful," by dint of the fact that being beautiful
without the quotes often follows from these.
