(HELP!) Message-ID: <2067@iddic.UUCP> Date: Fri, 28-Jun-85 17:45:28 EDT Article-I.D.: iddic.2067 Posted: Fri Jun 28 17:45:28 1985 Date-Received: Mon, 1-Jul-85 05:57:53 EDT Organization: Tektronix, Beaverton OR Lines: 36 Xref: watmath net.general:164 net.unix:4916 Hidden in the back of one of our closets we have an old PDP 11/34. I am interested in putting some version of unix on it so that we can use it for fun and development. Does anyone know what versions of unix are available for the old thing. So far I have been told that Berkley 2.9 and AT&T System 3 will work, are there any other options. I have heard that bsd2.9 is ok exept on an 11/34!! Does anyone have bsd 2.9 successfully installed on their own PDP 11/34, or at least worked on a 34 with 2.9. If so I would appreciate hearing from you. I have never worked on any AT&T unix system so I would appreciate any information on what the main differenceds are between the two types of unix. Also, if anyone has worked on a PDP 11/34 with System 3 I would appreciate hearing how well it worked out. We won't spend the money if it is not worth it. So if you have an opinion, please respond to: tektronix!iddic!chrism Thanks in advance. Chris Ebaugh Tektronix Inc.
