I'm wondering how to maximize the subliminal effect I will get. Specifically ... Should I be able to perceive the messages consciously? Currently I transmit 250 nulls at 9600 baud (equals .29 second) and then erase the message. If I happen to be looking at the right part of the screen, I can read the message. If not, I am aware that something flashed there, but usually don't know what. Should the message last longer or shorter? Currently I distribute the inter-message time normally around 3 minutes, with the standard deviation of 45 seconds. Should I up the frequency? Has anybody else tried this? With what results? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kevin Koch (Koch is it!) HANDEL::KOCH ...decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-handel!koch koch%handel.dec@decwrl@ARPA
