At least it got the Ferstaci (sp) n-tuplets out of the "news." Every day there would be a report on how that family was doing. The fact that 7 were originally born was news. The fact that only 3 have survived is news. Everything in between was filler for the commercials. I would see the same scene of Mr. Ferstaci announcing the death of another of his children over and over again. I keep listening now for some NEWS about the hijacking, but nothing is really new. I want to just ignore all forms of news until the situation is over, rather than get saturated with speculation during every news broadcast I happen to listen to. I want to be INFORMED, not bored. And to hear about how the whole town of Whereever, Ohio is suddenly more patriotic because one of THEIR OWN is being held hostage doesn't make me want to sing "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy." Yes, I'm sorry that 4 of the 7 Ferstaci babies died. Yes, I am angry that another hijacking has occurred involving Americans. But let me know when there is NEWS, and not just another wife of a hostage being interviewed. As Don Henley says: Kick 'em when their up, Kick 'em when their down...
