Pompous ass! Quoting from "Positively Pogo"! I got the quote straight out
of the original "The Pogo Papers," published sometime in the late 1950s,
and the quote is "I'm off to the Bermoothes, to watch the Onions an' the
Eels".

Well, I am certainly glad you know where the quote came from, even if I
can't spell Kelly in a pinch. Now, you tell me, what does that quote refer
to? Mail it by E-Mail, please, I don't normally read Net.Flame, only
abnormally. The reference to wearing the shorts FROM the bermoothes, etc.,
is a much later capitalization on the original episode.

"Those things that make us human are, curiously enough, always close at
hand. Resolve, then, that on this very ground, with small flags waving and
tinny blasts on tiny trumpets, that we shall meet the enemy -- and not
only may he be ours, he may be us."
