No, the difference is that men must face explicit rejection, whereas women must put up with pests who won't accept rejection. Men and women are equal in terms of degree of choice. True, a woman cannot decide who will approach and must choose from among those who do, but a man cannot decide who will accept, either. It must be mutual. (Of, course a man can sometimes influence the woman if he's a good salesman, but the woman can influence the man through flirting and come-hither looks). Frank Silbermann
