Now that Honda has made (Motor) Scooters fashionable, does
anyone know how the "law" treats them differently from
other motorized two-wheeled vehicules like mopeds and
motorcycles? Also Bajaj makes these scooters. Is there
anyone in North America who imports them (not taking
orders for pick-up in India) and sells them at "reasonable"
prices? I've seen a few Bajaj scooters along side some
Vespas. The Vespas were only a few dollars more than the
Bajaj scooters. Either the vendor values the Bajaj highly
or he believes in huge profit margins or both. Has anyone
considered the cost of shipping a single scooter from India?
