I recall reading several years ago, when I lived in New England (you know,
in between New York and Boston),  the president of Heublen made a customized
license plate request to the state of Conneticut, which he thought would be
good, corporate-oriented advertising.  DMV (or whatever they called themselves)
declined the opportunity to honor his request:


         his car:              wife's car:

I suppose he saw his cars as always in the driveway, not going down the
turnpike.
