For the 16 oz. bottles, the local Coke distributer had been
stamping the legend "NEWm/d" on bottles,  where "m/d" was
apparently the month and day the bottle was filled.  This was
stamped towards the top of the outer foam covering onhe bottle.
I don't know if this is done by other bottlers, but you might
look for it.
