| Perhaps, we should enforce some more social reform through software (as
| was done with the last release of news) in that when you hit followup
| to a message for more than one group that it asks you group by group
| which of the ones you wish your followup to appear in (it already knows
| to followup net.general -> net.followup).

You might note Chuq's message. What good is new software in 2.10.3 or whatever
when half of the net is still running A news, notesfiles, or 2.10.1 or older?

But if you want it, I have what I *think* does the job in rn -- a NEWSHEADER
line that strips all but the first newsgroup in any Followup-To: line.
It could also be stuck into the Newsgroups: part of the header. The line
is as follows (*NOTE* This usually works, but I seem to remember one time
that it didn't; an rn escape hacker might try reworking it someday):

	-ENEWSHEADER="Newsgroups: %F\\nSubject: @#@#** YOUR SUBJECT HERE\
	 **#@#@\\nSummary: @#@#** SUMMARY **#@#@\\nExpires:\\nReferences\
	: %R\\nReply-To: %L@%H.UUCP (%N)\\nFollowup-To: %(%F=^\\(.*\\),.\
	*$?%1:%F)\\nDistribution: %D\\nOrganization: %o\\n\\n"

Please note that all lines are aligned left and right; the indentation on line
2 is an actual space. Also, delete the trailing backslashes and join the lines
together; I don't think rn can handle those \s at the ends of the lines.

You might also notice the weird Subject: and Summary lines. They are intended
to insure that the message isn't just given the subject of its parent when it
may have a very different content. (But some of you have seen what happens
when I forget to set the subject! Maybe an option to Pnews.SH would be better
for this purpose?)
