I think I need this type to incorporate a lot of detailed error messages into a program, to I added code to handle STR#. It turned out to be quite simple. I posted the diffs to the companion newsgroup, net.source.mac. PS: CAN ANY SUMACC GURU HELP ME WITH THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS??? - Has anybody else added other significant resource types (please share)? - Would a redefinition of ICN# as HEXA work? - Has anybody succeeded in giving a program a 'signature' and its own Icon that are recognized by the Finder? I can't seem to understand Inside Macintosh on this subject. -- Guido van Rossum, CWI, Amsterdam (Still Stamping Out BASIC!) guido@mcvax.UUC "You're right. But you're boring."
