State University, Raleigh Lines: 11 I recently saw a quarterly or annual report from a conglomerate company called Ametek (listed on the NYSE). In it they were lauding their new supercomputer patterned after (or is) the Caltech hypercube machine. I thought Intel was the only one hypercubing 286's? This machine was never named, but was touted to have 64 nodes. Ametek made it sound like they were Chuck Seitz's best friend and perennial financial supporter.
