Two friends of mine both had skyhawks, a '79 and an 80 with manual,
both of them replaced their clutches about every 20k. One friend
even went to the expense of putting in a "heavy duty racing clutch"
but even that went at its allocated time. I had the chey counterpart
a monza, with automatic however. The transmission was the only thing that
didn't break on my car. Make of this what you will.
