Texas, Astronomy, Austin, TX Lines: 31 Many thanks to Larry Rosenstein of Apple for answering this question. A related question was asked by someone who wanted to get proofs on the ImageWriter, and later print the document on the LaserWriter. Guided by Larry's suggestion, I have a partial solution: If you format for the LaserWriter as per Larry's instructions (First deselect the ImageWriter using the Choose Printer DA, then use Printer Setup and click OK), *THEN* go back to the Choose Printer DA to select the ImageWriter, but DON'T use Printer Setup again, the document will stay formatted for the LaserWriter but can be printed on the ImageWriter. It will come out a little funny (About 10% narrower, but just as long), but the pagination and placement of things will (within that constraint) be as they will come out on the LaserWriter. This will not work if you want to print the document "Landscape" style, but will suffice for most applications. I agree with the original writer, that there should be a mode for proofing on the ImageWriter that gives a document that is correctly proportioned, and that will work with "Landscape". -- "Men never do evil so cheerfully and so completely as when they do so from religious conviction." -- Blaise Pascal Bill Jefferys 8-% Astronomy Dept, University of Texas, Austin TX 78712 (USnail) {allegra,ihnp4}!{ut-sally,noao}!utastro!bill (uucp) bill%utastro.UTEXAS@ut-sally.ARPA (ARPANET)
