As many/most/all of you know, there are 2 different versions of both
Anthem of the Sun and Aoxomoxoa. For both albums, there is the originally
released version, and also a version remixed by Phil Lesh in 1970/71.

When I bought these albums several years ago, all that was available at
record stores was the remixed versions. It seemed that the originals
were impossible to find.

Yesterday, however, I was in a record store, glancing through the
Dead rack just to see if there was anything unusual there. There wasn't.
There was one copy of Anthem of the Sun, and, for some reason, I picked
it up to look at the album cover. I noticed that on the back, it did NOT
say "Remixed by Phil Lesh" anywhere on the jacket.

Just then, 2 young Deadheads walked by and saw me holding the album. One
remarked to the other, "I wish I could get my hands on the remixed
version of that album!" Upon hearing this, I questioned them, and they
told me that only the original is available in stores. I was a bit
surprised at this, since it is the exact opposite of my experience from
a few years ago. Out of curiosity, I then picked up the one Aoxomoxoa
that was there, and it *did* say, "Remixed..." on it!

Does anyone have any more information about this?
