Everyone on the net is probably gonna think that I'm crazy, but I actually
am somewhat enjoying Secret Wars II. I like it a whole lot better than
SW-I. The whole concept of an ultra-powerful but childishly niave being
coming to Earth for enlightenment is (i think) treated not too badly.

I'll admit that I have mixed feelings about the way that the story line is
continued in 3 other titles each month. I don't like it because it forces me
to buy titles that I otherwise don't like. I like it because it is a lot
cleaner than the treatment in SW-I where we all knew the outcome (somewhat)
before it ended. I really hope there is not a schlock ending to this one
like in SW-I.

I particularly liked issue #3, where the beyonder took everything over. I
really like scenes such as the one where Toots thanked 'Frank' for regarding
her as 'just another human' and giving her the self-respect to get off the
streets. Maybe I'm old-fashoned, but sometimes I like good old niceness to
win.

Fell free to flame me if you wish, but any major commentary should come to me
directly rather than to the net.
