Along the lines of controlling time, and "pluterday', there is of
course R.A. Lafferty's classic, "Slow Tuesday Night", in which objective
time is not controlled, but subjective time is. A whole life can be lived,
with multiple careers completed, and fortunes won and lost within the
8 hours of the aforesaid Tuesday night.
