I just finished reading an advertisement in INDIA ABROAD (June
21, 1985) of the "Lata Mangeshkar - Kishore Kumar" Concert in
New York City. Lata and Kishore were accompanied by "Your
Favourite Film Stars", Dilip Kumar and Padmini Kolhapure. I
assume that Lata and Kishore plan to sing many of their famous
songs, but what do the "favorite stars do"? Since they don't
sing (unlike Amitabh Bachchan), and I don't know if they have
too many famous movie dialogues (like Amitabh Bachchan). So
what do they do on stage? Provide comedy relief? In general
what do these "extras" do when they accompany singers?
