My guess, if I'm perceiving your dilemma correctly, is that there are few
places outside Manhattan that you'll find what you are looking for.  If
you are looking for places frequented by intelligent people there are
many in Manhattan and I'd be glad to help you out if you send me more details.
Some of the places can be roughly categorized as yuppie, artsy, showbiz,
age group, ethnic group, etc.  Some probably can't.
IF you're looking for a place frequented by techies (WHY? :-), I'm afraid I
know of know such place.
