Message-ID: <35@uw-june> Date: Wed, 10-Jul-85 16:10:08 EDT Article-I.D.: uw-june.35 Posted: Wed Jul 10 16:10:08 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 13-Jul-85 14:17:46 EDT Organization: U of Washington Computer Science Lines: 33 This is something that has been getting up my nose for some time now. To all you ignoramuses out there a kiwi a bloody BIRD. It's not a fruit or a flavour. That brown fuzzy fruit about the size of a tennis ball ( 'cept when it comes from California where is it is the size of a golf ball an' tastes like one too ) is called a kiwiFRUIT! To call it a kiwi is like calling a grapefruit a GRAPE! So come on you lot, get your act together and learn to keep time with the rest of the world. BTW, a kiwi is an animal that eats roots and leaves ( no commas there ) It is a non-flight type bird ranging in size from a small hen to a middle sized dog. It has a long beck ( to get at the aforementined roots ) and is a nite animal. It is also the symbol of a small country with the tendency to annoy the American government a lot and more importantly it's the symbol of a very well know brand of shoe nugget. [No prizes for guessing the country that first started exporting this fruit but who knows what it's real name is ( before said country stole it and marketed it under their own name )] [No responsibilities accepted for lack of spelling, grammer or offences meant or percieved] -- Ewan ------------ Ewan Tempero "Oh no, not again" UUCP: ...!uw-beaver!uw-june!edtking ARPA: edtking@washington.ARPA Please check all nuclear arms at the door.
