Message-ID: <2066@hcradm.UUCP> Date: Wed, 26-Jun-85 09:48:57 EDT Article-I.D.: hcradm.2066 Posted: Wed Jun 26 09:48:57 1985 Date-Received: Thu, 27-Jun-85 02:14:30 EDT Organization: Human Computing Resources, Toronto Lines: 12 I have a Sherwood CD, purchased about 7 months ago. It's one of your simpler CD's in that it has no fancy features exceptfor a 3-beam pickup, but performs well. Last night I had it on auto repeat, and all of a sudden the thing started to skip along very merrily, and after about 5 seconds stopped in the middle of a totally different selection than was being played before. There were no earthquakes at the time :-) In fact, the whole stereo stand rests on a carpeted cement surface, which eliminates any possibility of outside influence via vibrations. Also, the disk itself has no defects, was clean, and has been played a lot in the past few months. Anyone care to explain this bizzare behaviour? {utzoo, utcsri}!hcr!milan
