Won't be too long now until we'll see a thief win a court case against a victim in which the car stereo stolen didn't work properly. Even today, I think it would be wise to make sure your car stereo works well. You wouldn't want the thief to get pissed off when he/she got his/her new toy home and it didn't work! He'd probably hunt you down and kill off your whole family (including your dog)! Personally, I always leave my windows down and the car unlocked and the stereo laying on the front seat just to avoid aggravating a thief. I'm still worried, however, so I'm thinking of getting a gift certificate good for about what my car stereo cost and leaving it tucked under my windshield wiper. That way the thief can get the model he/she really wants. - Gary Johnston Department of Computer Science University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign USENET: ...!{pur_ee,ihnp4,convex}!uiucdcs!johnston CSNET: johnston%uiuc@csnet-relay.arpa ARPA: johnston@uiuc.arpa
