So far, I have found the Ashcroft sale folder, trust folder, and the piece of paper. I gave all 3 to the detective and he said, "that's the motive I have been looking for!", exits to the ballroom, and stands next to Colonel Marston for the rest of the evening. I think I am on the right track since the detective doesn't arrest me. So, I tried: > detective, arrest marston "You've certainly shown a pattern of theft on his part, which may well establish a motive, but what about the method and opportunity? Theft for sure, but we're looking at murder here." ...and so on to and end-game. Method? He must have stolen my lariat! Opportunity? He was in the area of the office at the right time! How do I get the game to understand that? Am I on the right track? Am I close to finishing? Please mail strong hints. Thanks in advance! (I have solved all 3 Zorks, Planetfall, Infidel, Cutthroats, and Hitchhiker's Guide if anyone out in netland would like help with those.) -- /\ Mark D.
