                  HELP !

I purchased two new rhododendron this year and they are fading fast.
They finished the blooming cycle beautifully and started growing
just fine. But now, they are dying from the inside out. It looks
like they are rotting from inside the stems from the root upwards.
The stem and leaves (green and limp) eventually fall off. Soil has good
drainage, so I do not suspect overwatering. My guess is some type of fungus
or disease. Has anyone else had similar problems and saved the plants
before full distruction?
