Yes.  The clip fits over the 68000 chip.  My understanding is that the
original 68000 chip is electrically disabled (so that it doesn't get
*very hot* under the clip).  Presumably, another 68000 on the piggyback
board substitutes for it.

I have not seen the new model Hyperdrive, but I have seen the clip and
discussed its application.
