If I had an IBM PC (I don't, thank Jobs (-:) I wouldn't take this route,
since I presume hourly rates are as exorbitant for compuserve, etc.

Instead, I would send a check to ihnp4!vortex!lauren for his
UUCP/MAIL/Netnews port to the XT, and then get a free hookup with one
of our local UUCP sites.

Admittedly, about $300 up front is more.  But the solution is much
more flexible than paying someone $50/month for net access.
