Of course I hug both men and women. All the > time. Something that no one's addressed yet is the GROUP HUG. The synergy possible in a group hug is unlimited. There's a group of people that I went to college with. In school, we were a "hands off" bunch. We've since discovered that hugging can be beneficial for us all. The women had no problems hugging the men or the other women; it took a while for the men to feel comfortable hugging other men. Now that we are, the love among us is fantastic. It's rather more philia than eros, and it's wonderful. The children of the group insist on participating (they know a good thing!), and even my cats are much more responsive to me after I've been with my friends. I recommend it highly. -- aMAZon @ AT&T Bell Labs, Naperville, IL; ihnp4!ihuxf!features
