I make it a personal policy not to get romantically involved with people who work or live where I do. If past experience is anything to go by this policy has saved me, and others, a lot of grief. (Example: What happens if the relationship goes sour but you still have to see and/or work with each other every day?). One good place to meet other techies is at the assorted conferences and seminars that seem to be held almost constantly across the nation and the world. I've met a number of MOTOS at IEEE Tutorial Week, for example. This can lead to geographic problems, though these are lessened if you can find a local seminar or conference. --- -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- The Polymath (aka: Jerry Hollombe) Citicorp TTI Common Sense is what tells you that a ten 3100 Ocean Park Blvd. pound weight falls ten times as fast as a Santa Monica, CA 90405 one pound weight.
