It already saves the screen, and perhaps it would only redraw one screen (the process youre currently working on). The main drawback I see to this (and this is becuase or despite the fact that I am new to Mac programming) is how to determine a check for input. But that task doesn't seem insurmountable.. Any ideas? Steven
