A friend taught me to use Scotch strapping tape (the kind with the filiments
running the length of the tape) on double wall rims. Two or three layers
does a super job, while the Velox tape I had used was expensive and seemed to
crawl sometimes.

Also, I have used silicon rubber caulk in handle bar and stem surfaces, and it
seems to quiet the squeaking you can sometimes get. It rubs right off exposed
surfaces.
