What majical scheme assigns process I.D.s in VMS V4? It seems to me the most
likely new method would be to make the low 8 bits unique (the sysgen max
process count will never be larger than 511 (at least I don't know of a
VAX with enough memory and DZ lines to do this (don't explain to me how
it can be done with 4Meg and 1 port))). I'll look in the fiche if I don't
get an answer...need to know pretty bad.
