I need some information on how to set up a data link between computers. We have HASP boards in our computers, but now we hae to tie them together. Our VAX is a host talking to 2 Computervision systems. One of them is 150 feet away, the other is 1.5 miles away. What sort of data lines do we need? Can we get by with a hard wire link for the short distance? What sort of drivers/modems do we need for the longer distance? We need data transfer rates >= 9600 baud. What's a ballpark estimate for the cost? My boss wants this info right away, so please respond as soon as possible. I will be exceedingly grateful, -- Terry Morse (408)743-1487 UUCP: { (ucbvax!dual!sun) | (ihnp4!qubix) } !sunncal!leadsv!morse UUCP: { allegra | ihnp4 | dual } !fortune!amdcad!cae780!leadsv!morse UUCP: seismo!nsc!cae780!leadsv!morse
