Being unable to cool our small apt to reasonable temperatures we have gone
to local cooling for our ferrets. We keep several 1qt plastic yogurt bottles
(Tuscan) in the freezer, bringing them into the ferrets cages as necessary.
It is quite easy to keep the interiors of the cages in the low 70s comapred
with 90+ in the apt. One of the little house weasels lets us know when her
bottles need changing.

Keeping ferrets cools is important as they can go underground in the wild.
One ferret breeder (Winsted) reported that she lost several ferrets before
she started a/cing them.
