*** Is this really necessary? ***

I currently own a 128K Mac and wish to upgrade it to 512K or more. I
don't have access to old messages on this newsgroup, so excuse me if
this has already been thoroughly discussed here. I don't trust myself
to do the job myself, but I don't want to pay Apple's price either.
Are there any places which will do an upgrade to 512K or more AND
give a warranty on the results? I live in New Haven, Connecticut.
Are there any places in, say, New York or Boston where I could take
my Mac to have it fattened, or would I have to ship it off somewhere?
Please reply to me if you know of any such place and especially if
you have gotten an upgrade yourself from such a place. I would also
want to know the respective prices for the various upgrades.
