It seems that whenever we restore a dump tape, we get the message
"Resync restore, skipped 1 blocks." Yesterday, before using the
dumping to tape, we ran a check on the tape (using tapecheck). The
tape came up clean, no errors. Yet, we still got the "resync restore"
message. What is wrong? Is there anything we can do about it?
