I have a lot of relatives who are farmers in Iowa, and they really do
get rattled if there are other cars around. I guess they are just not
used to traffic. On the other hand, they can really handle those
gravel roads!

Your description is not confined to rural areas, however. I am fairly
new
to Austin, Texas--and the description fits Austin drivers perfectly,
especially the four-way stop episode. I hate to think what will happen
here when traffic gets thick ...
