For people who have ordered the V2.0 upgrade for Microsoft Word
(for MS DOS machines), beware.

I just received the V2.0 upgrade for Microsoft Word (PC DOS version)
and there were some surprises:

1. They sent the European version, which has an enhanced dictionary
(good) but only provides customer support addresses in England
   (bad).

2. The Utilities disk was trashed. Trying to run the SETUP.EXE program
caused my disk drive to go into convulsions and quit with a "Sector
not found" message. MS Customer Support in Canada says that they are
aware of a problem with the Utilities disks and that they are as
result of "manufacturers defects". What happened to quality control?

3. The documentation goes into great lengths describing the "Learning Word"
CAI program, supposedly included with the distribution. Guess what?
No program, no disk. And consequently, very liitle guidance on how
   to install, configure Word.

To the company's credit, the people I spoke to in Seattle and here were very
helpful and I was promised that 2 replacment disks would be in my hot little
hands next week.
