As long as a request for modem recommendations has been posted, I would like
to request that folks include 2400 bps modems in their recommendations.
Probably things like

o Does it operate at 300/1200/2400 or just 1200/2400?

o Reliability over long periods of use; does it drift?

o Cost (the $64,000 question) and support?

o Does it do line detection? Busy signal, off-hook,
and ring detection or just a timeout?

o Hayes and/or Crosstalk compatibility (and any
	  other program compatibility)?

Most of these would obviously apply to 1200 bps modems, also. I thank
any and all who send (or post) information on their suggestions.

	Enjoy,
