Steve Ferry:

All the information you want is in a book for $25.00 by XEROX called:

                              820
                    INFORMATION PROCESSOR

                  SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT GUIDE

It is misnamed, because it includes all of the hardware logic diagrams and
the software code for the two different versions of the monitor EPROMs
and how to interface with the monitor in application programs.
The CP/M interfaces with the monitor EPROMs for I/O, and these monitors
are similar to the old APPLE MONITOR or ZAPPLE MONITOR.

Xerox has an outfit that handles the distribution of these manuals, but
I'm sorry to say I discarded the 800-telno and name after acquiring my copy
of the document. The check was made out to "XEROX Inventory."

I suggest you call or write:

          Xerox Corporation
          1341 West Mockingbird Lane
          Dallas, Texas 75247

which is the address given on the back page of the "Software Development
Guide."

     Good luck,
