Message-ID: <485@unc.UUCP> Date: Mon, 24-Jun-85 16:52:29 EDT Article-I.D.: unc.485 Posted: Mon Jun 24 16:52:29 1985 Date-Received: Wed, 26-Jun-85 06:27:25 EDT Organization: CS Dept., U. of N. Carolina at Chapel Hill Lines: 20 I'm a relative newcomer to the world of Emacs and I have a problem. I'm trying to port an emacs based text editor to a Sun Workstation. The editor was written for an hp2645 and used reverse video to highlight selected text. The mlisp code uses "send-string-to-terminal" to write the reverse video escape sequence to the terminal. I thought it would be a simple matter of translating the escape sequences from hp to Sun (via their termcap entries) and firing it up. Alas, I was fooling myself. The cursor moves to the correct positions (i.e. left, right, up and down escapes work) but no reverse video. Does anyone out there have any ideas? - Thanks in advance -- ========================================= -Tom Thomas C. Palmer palmer@unc decvax!mcnc!unc!palmer
