I was not trying to annoy anyone. I had just heard the joke a few days before and was responding because I finally knew the answer to a joke. I can't believe the way this pissed off so many people. You'd think that I'd changed the followup line or something. Threats on my first- born. "PHASERS ON KILL". Speculations on my heritage and what's between my ears. (Public apology to Charles Poirier; yours turned out to be the mildest.) You people need to learn some tolerance. How is someone who has been netting for six months supposed to know about the Light Bulb Joke Crisis of some years ago, and that these are now a "well-known no-no"? There's nothing in net.announce.newusers about it. Funny thing is, some of you are the same ones who flamed me for my first "posting", which was an accident caused by hitting a wrong key. I took the time then to respond to each flame in a civil, sincerely apologetic tone. The only one who came back and said, "Hey, it's ok. I did the same thing when I was a virgin" was Ross Greenberg (thanks, Ross). I was going to do the same thing this time, but after seeing the tone of the flames, I just want to say this: To the net: I apologize for pouring salt in old wounds. To the flamers (except Charles): Kizzmahass! Gregg Mackenzie denelcor!gmack
