Greetings,
I have a daughter who just finished kindergarten and near the end
of the year took the CAT's. Now these tests are administered over
a 1 week period of time and are supposedly used by the staff to
determine the "intelligence" of the child for proper placement
in later years. What was sent home on the last day was a small
sheet of results containing all sorts of numbers and leaving my
wife and I quite confused as to how to interpret the information.
Does anyone have any information or pointers to information about
these tests?
As a digression I have noticed that all of the surounding school
systems use different tests. I am wondering if this isn't intentional
so as to prevent the casual parent from comparing different school
systems. Ah, well, any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob Switzer
