Your question was about adding a 4k printer buffer to a Star
Gemini 10x...

If you are adding the *first* 4k buffer, it comes on an expansion 
card, is made/offered by Star, and should have installation instruc-
tions with it (it's actually easy to do).

If you are adding 4k to bring you up to a total of 8k, then all you
have to do is plug in the chip(s) to the existing buffer card.  As far
as my memory (no pun intended) goes, you don't need to fiddle with 
any DIP switches - but check me to be sure: I've had a weird day!
