He joined Asia. I guess I have an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE Drama. That was the album that got me interested in YES, as they had always seemed to mellow for me (what I had heard). Now that I've gone back and listened to the rest of their music, I love it, but Drama is second only to Relayer (perhaps tied with Fragile and the Yes Album). By the way, Vangelis said he declined joining YES, not that he couldn't.
