Of course it's kind of difficult to hug someone over a flimsy electronic 
connection.

I'm not knocking the net.  I too have met many interesting people through
systems like the net.  However, I haven't been quite as lucky off the net.

Most of the people I talk to on this thing I know I'm probably never going to
meet face to face, and that kind of depresses me.

It's not so much that there isn't anybody like net people any where else in
the world.  It's just that it's much easier to get to know someone here then
any where else.  (some of my recent postings say things I wouldn't say to
some of my closest friends face-to-face, but I post them here for all the 
world to see.  You figure it out.)
