Walking on 2000 degree coals is like receiving a 20,000 volt shock from walking
across the carpet. It sounds impressive but is actually nothing more than some
applied physics and showmanship. Take away the moist grass around the "pit"
and replace the coals with something with a half way decent amount of thermal
conductivity and then see how many go across.
