    If I'm not mistaken, this was the Alan Price Set (at least that
    was the original name of his band), and it was Alan himself who
    wrote, sang, and keyboardized the wonderful title tune.  As you
    may remember if you are old enough, Alan Price was the keyboard
    player in a mid-60's British rock group called the Animals.   He
    was well known for his many simple-minded but memorable riffs in
    tunes like "House of the Rising Sun" and "We've Gotta Get Out Of
    This Place".  After he left the Animals he had a couple of hits
    on his own, but his popularity has been confined mainly to
    England.
