You won't respond to to the "NBA is boring" notes
because College hoops is infinitely more exciting? Nifty
little contradiction. I hope you had a great time watching
your great St.John's-Georgetown matchup. Isn't it funny in
how in the pros, the good matchups almost always turn into
good games. The pros are more consistent. Thus, the games
are consistently better. But anyway, like you say, I won't
      respond to to that issue.

Even though Larry Bird is a true team player,
having Kevin McHale set the Celtic high scoring record (56 points
against Detroit on Sunday) will not sit well in his craw, I'm sure.
Look for Bird to keep himself in a game long enough to beat it.
In a game a few weeks ago, he had something like 33 pts., 12 rebounds,
11 assists and 9 steals. He took himself out of the game in the middle
of the third quarter. Not a bad two and a half quarters. They said
that Nate Thurmond has the only recorded quadruple double.

Laker fans better not look too far ahead to a rematch with the Celts.
They'll have to get by Denver and an always improving Houston.

Cleveland has been playing great lately. What's going on? Is World B.
doing it up? I haven't been looking at the box scores.

PAC-10 basketball is the worst division I've seen in a while.

Georgetown will be hard to beat in the NCAAs. After blowing out
St. John's and Syracuse, they look VERRRY impressive. Georgia Tech
could hurt quite a few people. Jimmy Valvano is doing is usual great
job getting his team ready for the Cinderella Ball. How can he do it
with the players he has? It goes to show you, the greatest coach
should know as much about basketball players as he does about
basketball. Oklahoma should make it to the quarters. That team can
score. SMU is another probable quarter final team. The tourney should
be it's usual exciting self. I can't wait.
