I'm an amateur radio operator but I've been inactive for some
time. Lately, I've been thinking of getting back on the air and I
thought it would be nice to get into packet radio.

I've noticed that there are many programs on Simtel20 related to
Ham Radio but I was wondering, what kind of hardware do I need
(besides a Transmitter-Receiver) in order to get started? Where can I
get it? How much do I have to spend?

I know I'm asking an awful lot of questions but, if you could
just steer me in the general direction of some answers I would be most
grateful. Thanks very much.
