A message on TCBBS stated that SAP41 wrecked disks!  I had to try it,
Sure did!  Compare SAP41 to SAP40 and in the "CLNLOP" routine of SAP41
there is a jump:

     JC    FIL$E5

in SAP40 it is:

     JZ    FIL$E5

This would replace each valid directory with "E5"s.
