The best way to solve the Royal Puzzle is to draw a map of the puzzle when you first get in. Also, marble walls cannot be moved. And yes, again I'm stuck....I cannot get the bronze door open. One thing that deceived me is that even though you change locations when you hit the button with a the arrow pointed to a different number, items dropped outside of the Parapet still remain there. Any hints? I had two major problems in solving Zork III: (1) getting the ring and (2) getting the book. Originally, I thought I had tried to push the gold machine around but the program wouldn't let me. Hence, I speant hours of wasting time fooling around with the guards not knowing that you could push the machine into the jewel room. And again in the puzzle I THOUGHT that I had tried pushing on all the walls so I gave up on it. What makes me mad is that you can have the right idea but not the exact wording which results in hours of wasted time. Sigh, I guess its my fault for playing these stupid games instead of doing homework. Bob Crane Beaverton, Oregon
