We also have a 750 with 4.2 BSD, and would like to share the printer between the two machines. I set up a printcap entry for the LQP, based on our entry for our printronix printers, and found that only the 1st line of the banner gets printed. The rest of the file is lost. I know that we are hooked up correctly, because i can output to the printer using CU. I have been told that the LQP, which appears to be a Diablo Hytype II, model 35A, uses ETX/ACK type protocal. Ideally I would like it to run with a DTR handshake, failing that XON/XOFF should work. But I am concerned as to what would need to be done to the DECmate, once we change the protocal on the LQP. Look forward to the replies..... sohail -- Sohail Hussain uucp: ...{decvax,hao,ihnp4,seismo}!noao!terak!sohail phone: 602 998 4800 us mail: Terak Corporation, 14151 N 76th street, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
