  Well, I'm probably not qualified to answer this, since the only women
that have ever asked me out were those with whom I already had a well-
established "Platonic" relationship, but not being qualified never seems
to stop a true netter from putting in $0.02 worth! :-)
  I suspect that if a woman actually asked me out, it would be such an
unusual situtaion that the actual act of her asking would probably *create*
interest in her even if it weren't already there (unless I was already 
totally repulsed by her, but there are very few women I know that that 
applies to). Hear that, ladies?
