      CATASTROPHE

When I was free and untouched by the world
Life was simple, then winter unfurled
 Too early,
   in the Fall, exactly
Early morning tennis match and sitting on the beach
Fond memories of summer gave no warning
of the state I was to reach

The fate I seem to find
In winter's state of mind
A harsh awakening to a world unkind
A jet-set start out of early youth
Perhaps this has changed me
You(thought (to)o)

(thanks -m)
