If somebody took the time to implement it, or if the net would accept it.

The reason people want the number of groups limited is because the news
software can't handle hundreds of groups in its current scheme.
The other reason is that they don't want to deal with a confusing plethora
of a thousand groups.

The answer to the first problem is K news, the keyword based news system
I designed.

There's too much noise?  The answer is moderators.
There's too much cost?  The answer is usenet, Inc.
There's too much confusiong?  The answer is usenet Inc.
There's censorship?  The answer is an appropriate charter for usenet Inc.
