The first several years Denny Crum was at Louisville, they were in the
Missouri Valley conference. Rather obscure compared to the ACC or the
Big Ten. He was one of the big forces in the formation of the Metro
Conf. which was primarily for basketball schools. The Metro has been
more than respectable the last several years with Va. Tech and Memphis
St. having good success along with Louisville. (How soon we forget the
	Card's 1980 NCAA Championship)

It is really amazing he has had as many 20 win seasons when you look at
the schedule that the Cards play. Some of the heavyweights this year
included Louisiana Tech., Kentucky, Oklahoma, N.C. State, SMU,
	and DePaul.

While I was watching Louisville get drilled by UCLA on NBC Sunday, I
heard that Wagner will be back next year! This was the only high
point of a rather dreary game. Watch out next year!
