I thought someone else would post this, but I guess not...

The FACS (Facilities Assignment something or other)
project at Bell Communications Research is implemented on
the Sperry 1100 with a UNIX operating system.  (UNIX runs
concurrently with the Sperry O/S.  I don't know much about
how it runs in the "real world".)

FACS is intended to provide the Regional Phone Operating
Companies with some sort of way of keeping track of their
lines.  (Or something like that....I only know what my
roommate tells me.)
