Does anyone have any experience with the following 9 track GCR tape drives:
	Cipher 990/991
	Kennedy 9400
	Storage Technology	2920
with any of the following controllers:
Wespercorp TD IV	(Tape Demension Four)
	Emulex TC 7000 on a V-master
on a DEC VAX? We are particularly concerned about their operation in
GCR mode and their overall throughput of the combination during
file system backup using the 4.2 BSD dump program. In the case of
the streamers, how bad of a problem is the repositioning time and do
the various features of the drives (cache) and controllers (big fifos) really
allow one to stream (as claimed)? Also comments about reliablity
and general impressions are useful. We will summarize the results of the
survey and post it, if there are enough responses to warrent it.

Thanks in advance.
