I had a pair of the Ohm F that utilized a walsh driver at roughly
$1200 in '81. The speakers were fantastic until '83 when they
sudddenly lost it. Poor sound, ovedriving themselves, etc. I asked
my dealer an he said almost every F he sold had that problem. I
switched to a pr. of Bose 901 at his expense and have been very
pleased. If the new Ohm speakers are more durable I would say
fine, but if their drivers are as delicate as the original then
save your money. If you can find them the ohm I is outrageous.
Give a listen...
