I'll wait for him to post to net.origins if he wants to risk being rebutted. However, his quotations from the bible make me wonder about Christian viewpoints on a few questions. > For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to > nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? Where is the > scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish > the wisdom of this world? I Corinthians 1:19-20 Does this fate apply to those wise in the study of the Bible? And what fate does your god have in store for the foolish? > Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God > is stronger than men. I Corinthians 1:25 What is the foolishness of God? And the weakness of God? Surely they must have something in mind. The important question I have is: Purportedly God has provided inspired text for us to study. He has also provided an inspired creation for us to study. Why should either have precedence and why?
