Background: We have recently received an Imagen 8/300 printer and the appropriate distribution tape. It is attached to a 780 running 4.2. It is communicating using the spp protocol. I am using the filters distributed on the tape in conjunction with troff. (itroff, catdvi, dviimp, etc) 1. When I attempt to print some of the samples in the imagen/samples directory I receive Font File not found messages and the corresponding symbol on the printout. What gives?? 2. When attempting to print the documents supplied with 4.2 in /usr/doc they turn out poor. Example: the tbl doc is produced double spaced and I beleive in the wrong point size. Is the itroff to troff mapping that poor? 3. I assume there is no way to switch font families (i.e. computer modern dunhill) with itroff. Is this correct? I have TeX on order. Will this help?? If there is anyone out there who is experienced in this area and would not mind a few more questions I would like to talk to you. Thanx in advance. ---pat--- Patrick Landry ut-sally \ University of Southwestern Louisiana !usl!pml akgua / LandryPM%usl@csnet-relay.ARPA
