In response to the request for an old, non-AI mount Nikon PC lens: It
turns out that Nikon designed the new, non retractable aperture fol-
lower for the FG and FA in such a way that it clears some non-AI
mounts. (The retractable finger of the FE causes no problem, of
course). In particular, I have both an FG and an FA and use my 35mm
f/2.8 PC lens (dating from around 1968) on both. Of course, it is
non-AI. However, be forewarned: the PC lenses do not work in AMP mode
on the FA since they cannot tell the camera their maximum aperture.
As a result, there is no way that the camera can "correct" its AMP
program for light falloff. So, both these lenses must be used in
manual mode.
