Before I take the plunge, has anyone in netland heard these? I have the CD recording that Brendel and the Cleveland Quartet did of the Trout, and like that. If you have heard his rendition of the sonatas, what can you tell me about the performance? The recording? (I particularly like CDs for piano recordings, because LPs so often have their center holes a few mm off-center and the resulting wow is quite obvious to my ears, especially during slow movements. One of these days I'm going to buy a Dragon-CT turntable, but until then...)
