As far as I have heard, ProDOS looks into the high memory of the F8 ROM
and into the ROM on the DISK CONTROLLER.  I was NOT under the impression
that it looked at (or could look at) the details of the 16k card, except
that it existed.
  In order to use ProDOS with an Apple II clone, you would have to either
patch the places where it looks in the cards, or buy gen-u-ine apple
cards.  Personally, I think this was not such a great decision on
Apple's part since it will deter the overall acceptance of ProDOS, but
then we've been over this before, haven't we?
