scum-bag ken says:

thanks for the warm reply, ken. since you've taken to name calling,
(this is flame, all's fair....) i'll keep up the tradition, with things
i've called you in the past and things i've heard other call you in
private mail etc.  ok, pencil-prick??

about your letter:

just because i put down the military doesn't mean i spit on our flag.
if you dislike something about a country (the intelligence of it's military)
doesn't mean you dislike the whole country. i've heard you complain about
"things" (in fact, that's all you seem to do) but i don't jump to the
assumption you spit on everything associated with your gripes that walks by .
(i will go on record right now as jumping to the assumption that you ARE as
big an ass as i always thought you were. actually, instead of "jumping to
the assumption" make that "joining the bandwagon")

a few years in the service, huh?? well, as it happens
i was an air-force brat. i lived on military bases all over the world for the
first 18 years of my life. i've probably seen more of the military than
you have(or will). i think i have a VERY good idea what it's really like
for the officers(my father was one) and the enlisted types(i knew quite a few
as friends, many were only a few years older than me). i also work for
TRW while in college, contracting for the "government" at tinker air force
base. i saw FIRST HAND the type of people they have running their computers,
"technical" stuff etc. i wish i could simply say it was "sad", but that
would be a gross understatement.

shit-head, you often look stupid, but your REALLY looking stupid here. are you
actually going to defend an institution where XXX% of the enlisted don't
have a high school education (what is it, 30, 40%???), where (at least
on a base i was at in europe) 25-30% where smoking pot ON DUTY at
any given time. where in a recent bid from computer contractors the
winning bid had to "re-write their manuals with more pictures" etc. at
a "lower level" so the military operators could understand them. and
on and on and on. if the military were a company, it would have gone
down the toilet (a $600 toilet) years ago. i doubt there's a single
existing, thriving entity that can boast a lower average i.q or level of
education for it's people.(except perhaps unions, where most of the rest of the
uneducated dummies flock) THAT'S why i can kid the military about
"being stupid" or whatever i want. and it's NOT very funny. it's costs
taxpayers $$$$$$$$$ in the long run.

you can't get a job, you have no skills, no education, and you want
a little job security?? join the service! get it all paid for.
take a bunch of test an 8th grader couldn't fail. get promoted, go far!!!
go on, fuck-head, say it.....say it!!!! "'MERICA, luv it or leeeve it,
you red-neck commie!!" go on!!! say it to me!!!!! that's what your
stupid letter sounds like. some idiotic ex-marine from "the big one", WWII
(of course, he typed forms for three years in s. california, but he's
he's a vet, damnit!!) just because i point out a problem with your
military doesn't mean i hate it or america, i just wish it wasn't the
final resting place for all of those who can't make it in the real world
with a real education, real job etc. but that's the way ALL militarys
have been. it's the scum of the society that normally 'joins up' for
the hell of it because they have nothing better to do. or nothing
better they CAN do. /* yes, yes, some good apples slip in too, but.... */

i remember when the military was offering me a scholarship, and job
offers after graduation, boasting "the most intelligent fighting force
on the earth" etc. it still doesn't reflect the fact it's probably one
of the dumbest organizations you could work for compared to anything in the
private sector.

i could go on forever, but my lunch hour is up.....

by the way, smegma breath, did i mention my father is a minister?
he has a little church in dallas. if you want, i'll send you
his card......in case your parents decide to get married some day,

one minor point: all of this mostly applies to
the enlisted. at least the officers have degrees. e.g. "yep, got my
degree in socio-psychology of home-economics majors, and...well,....there
weren't a lot of job openings, so i joined the military. now i control
hundreds of thousands of dollars, and have 48 men under me" like i
said, a final resting place......

this also basically applies to what we have NOW, a volunteer army. when
there's a draft, all sorts of people are consequently in the military,
and the intelligence goes up. (hell, it COULDN'T go down)
