The problem does not seem to be in line protocol, but rather with the incomplete instructions that HP provides. Unfortunately, HP decided to make the file transfer interface more "user-friendly" by making you use a "to host" or "from host" menu which is totally bewildering to people (like me) who are familiar with the commands used in most CP/M implementations of MODEM7/XMODEM. Has anyone successfully transferred files between the HP110 and a UNIX host running UMODEM? Are there any "tricks" or steps left out of the instructions? Any information gratefully appreciated.
