I went way overboard flaming at Karl Kleinpaste. Gak. I still think he's
wrong but I had no business getting that nasty. I had a high school friend
who was killed with a gun by an NRA member in an "accident" and ever since
then I have been a livid opponent of civilian firearms (before that incident
I was merely an ordinary opponent). I let my emotionalism over the issue of
guns cloud my judgment in composing mail, and I am very sorry. I'm too much
of a late-night hipshooter, and Karl did nothing to deserve such an outburst.
