Looking through my /usr/spool/news/*, I find may articles with dates going
back to november of last year.  Why does this happen?

Does anybody have a program/script that I can run which will delete these
old files (prior to a date I specify)?  It doesn't matter how slow it is, as
I just want to run it once in a long while (like 6-months).
