My little fingers have born the brunt of depressing the control-keys
all these years. It hurts quite badly after many hours.
(e.g. after using an editor like Emacs for quite some time.)
After a few years of depressing the control-keys,
my little fingers have started looking like the
parenthesis symbol !!

I could find no reason why the terminal manufacturers could not
come with a foot pedal operated control key. It could be a simple
mouse like device that gets connected to the side of the terminal
(much like plugging headphones into an audio system.)

Let me hear the "aye"s and "nay"s please.
