We have a UTS running under VM on an IBM 433something.  The Amdahl full
duplex ASCII frontend software runs fine at 9600 baud, but to do so we
needed to add an Amdahl 4705E io controllers which is also used for the
3780s attached to CMS.

As for speed of user processes, I can't say -- the people running CMS
are stingy with the cycles they alot to the UTS virtual machine.
