If so, then the number of voices you can control is the same as the number of voices in the DX-7 (8 I think...) Also you can control Pitch Bend, Tremelo, Wah-Wah, changing of programs, Touch sensitivity, etc. These are all defined in the MIDI interface. You ought to pick up a copy of it somewhere (I am looking too) and then decide what you want to try. Be prepared, programming a DX-7 requires you to think backwards. I haven't done it personally but I know of people who have, and they say that its like a FORTHithon. You gotta start from the finish sound and work back and forth achieving the particular sound you want. As for software, I don't know of any packages, but If you want the speed I would recommend using the pc over the apple. Peter Barada ima!pbear!peterb
