I too have had some problems with my name. I grew up in New York, but
went to college in Israel, where for four years my name was Ytzhak
(pronounced Yitzak) Dimitrovsky (well, it's a really common
name in Jerusalem ...). When I returned here, I continued giving this
as my name for a while, but I've more or less converted to the English
version (Isaac) now. Is this a really conformist, white bread thing
for me to have done?
