I am looking for a reasonably working screen package for an IBM PC or compatibles, that can replace the CURSES on UNIX. The purpose being that I have some interesting software that I am interested to port from UNIX to a PC, Public Domain of course, and needs curses to work OK. The PC-curses should be callable from C, and have the same basic structure as the UNIX ones. I would also appreciate any pointers to commercially available software that can do the same trick. I have heard about "Windows for C", but have not used it. A last resort would be to write them in compiled basic & link them but I doubt if it is worth it.... What about the termcap/terminfo/termwhatevers? is it feasible to substitute and convert from curses to them? Thanks in Advance... -- Spiros President, -- USL Computer Science Dept.
