Does anything use the file /etc/fstab in release 3 of
System 5 as implemented for the ATT 3B5?
I've only looked around for an hour or so, but I can't
seem to find any System V utility that actually uses
/etc/fstab, at least as it is used in 4.2bsd, and I would
be surprised if it was merely lying around as an artifact.
