    As some people who read the net might know, I drive a 427 Vette.  But
    it's not the most exciting car I've ever driven.

    That honor goes to a 1975 Mercury Cougar 351 CID/145 HP.  That thing
    weighed about 4200 lbs and the way it went around corners was unreal:
    "slipping & sliding" is more accurate than cornering.  I think that
    that car could set anyone up for a career of dirt track racing.  The
    thing could go pretty fast, though.  I hit 115 once, but considering
    the handling and braking, I'm lucky to be writing this.

    Another great one was the AMC Hornet Sportabout wagon.  Never got it
    over 85 or so, but that thing at 85 was like Chuck Jeager breaking
    the sound barrier.

    So don't view mom and dad's cars with disdain: they can give you the
    real sports car thrill.  Cornering at 10 mph is like taking a corner
    at 50.  And topping one of those things out at 85, well, you'd need
    a Ferrari Testarossa to equal that thrill!
