If you recall, when we last left SCA (Stereo Corporation of America) they
told me that the JVC RX500B that I had ordered on 1/8/85 would be in stock
in early March. I was doubtful. I called them today (3/8/85) and, what do
you know, it's being help up and won't be available till the end of March.
(They claim it's JVC's fault.) Their price is/was $390; $402 delivered to MA.

I got a letter from a satisfied RX500B owner (Clancy Malloy) who said he'd
ordered his from Bryce Audio (1-800-223-1346). I called them up; their
price is $430 delivered. $28 more but they have it in stock.

I canceled my SCA order (they're left with 2 months interest on $400).
I placed an order with Bryce Audio; I should get it UPS in 10 days.

My advice concerning SCA: get a firm delivery date.
If they don't meet it, dump 'em. Also, it's worth
paying an extra 5-10% for someone who has it in stock.
