While talking to one of our system administrators about the
legality of deleting net postings which come to our system, he
suggested I post this to net.net, but there is no net.net, so
here it goes to net.legal, where it seems to me it belongs any-
way...

Why is it legal (or is it?) for the administrators to delete
postings (such as from net.source or net.sources.games)? I agree
that it is a good idea to do so some of the time (it would not
do to have everyone with a source for a game), but why is it legal?
Are there no laws about this? Isn't the net for NET USERS?
I would appreciate any feedback on this, opinions, laws, ideas...
