Seems that there were several cartoon shows in the '60s that were
kiddified versions of prime-time sitcoms.  Examples:

The Flintsones		The Honeymooners
Top Cat			Sgt. Bilko
Calvin & the Colonel	Amos and Andy  (anyone else remember this one?)
 (were there more?)

Later on, of course, the studios went in for more direct
adaptations such as "Brady Kids" and "Star Trek".

BTW, isn't that supposed to be "Officer Dibble"?
