Ya know.... it seems that most of you are commenting on asking someone out for
the FIRST date. How about dates after that? Several times I've gone out
with women, enjoyed myself a great deal (as far as I knew, they enjoyed
themselves too), only to go through the cycle of "Would you like
to go out for (dinner, movies, show, company, baying at the moon, mugging
old women in the park)? No, I am busy that (day, night, week). How about
later? Can you call me later when I have a better idea of my schedule?"
for the second of third date.

Etc... you get the idea. About half the time I gave up after about
three attempts. The other half the time it turned out that it really
was schedule conflicts and on the third attempt we got back together
and enjoyed several other dates. Its not as difficult to deal with after
about the third date because you start understanding the hidden meanings,
but until then....

My favorite type of person is one who, even if she turns you down for
one date, suggests another time or activity more suited for her. Or one
who simply tells you she isn't interested without being too ego bruising.

(Guys, how do you handle it when a woman you aren't interested in asks
you out? (assuming they ever do?))
