That is a > personal choice of you the reader. This disclaimer looks like an attempt to discourage drinking and driving without offending those who decide to do it anyway. The intentions may have been good, but the implications were not considered thoroughly. >>>> FLAME ON <<<< Drinking and driving: a "PERSONAL CHOICE" ??!!?? NO WAY !!!!! IF YOU DRINK, DO *NOT* DRIVE !!!!! IF YOU DRIVE, DO *NOT* DRINK !!!!! NO other choice can be right. How "personal" is it when some drunk (or drugged, or otherwise impaired) driver loses control of a car and crushes out the life of an innocent person???? It is no longer the "personal" problem of the driver. It becomes the problem of the victim's family and friends. Perhaps it is also a matter of "personal choice" whether to fire a shotgun into a crowded room or start a bonfire in a sold-out theater. Maybe, just maybe, nobody will get hurt, but what sane human being would take such a horrible chance? To choose to drink and drive is to choose possibly making your car a murder weapon. >>>> FLAME OFF <<<< Yes, I have lost a loved one because someone who should not have been behind the wheel made the "personal choice" to drive. "Not condoning" driving while impaired is not enough. Condemn it for the criminal activity it is, and don't worry about offending people when lives are at stake. Please, people, either use six packs of your favorite soft drink, or skip this survey altogether. Pat Dunkin ( ... !houxm!ahuta!hocsm!pad)
