I have heard of an instance of Mourning Doves building
a nest in a basket of papers on the desk of a professor at
Catholic University in Washington, D.C. Apparently the man
left his window ajar for fresh air and didn't make much use
of his office. The birds are said to have successfully
fledged their brood, so I guess they tolerated his presence
during the brief times he was around.
     So life could be worse.
