I don't think anything in the Star Trek series was shot on location.  It
was all shot in sound stages, I believe.  Star Trek had enough trouble
staying under budget because of the special effects, that I doubt that
they could afford location filming.

Awwww, come on.  Surely it is cheaper to travel to a galaxy "far far 
away" and shoot "on location" than it is to rent all those sets!!!!!!
