This was really bad on VT101's where AUTO-REPEAT took 1/2 sec or so to turn off or on. (Not bad on a VT100). Mabe the CIT-220 is just slow about this particular feature compared to the VT220. DEC said (about 18 months ago) that they would both fix EDT and the terminal firmware. By now (V4.0) EDT may be fixed, and perhaps the vT220 is fixed (compared to the VT101). Rg -------
