I have used this route to build things a little less expensively and with a bit more beef to it (a rough cut 2X4 is just that 2inches by 4 inches!). Anyway get what you need and then just let it sit out in the sun and weather and in a few months you will have beautiful gray boards for your project! I know there are places that sell old nails but off hand nothing comes to mind. Maybe someone else will have an answer. Keith Bauer White Tiger Racing
