Some poor people in this country live in apartments with heat.  Some
live in apartments without heat.  A shocking number live on the street.
There are people in this country, in New York and Boston and Chicago
and other cities, who are starving or freezing or both.  These are the
people that society HAS forgotten, and some of these are people who
have no alternative, if they want to live, but to beg or eat out of
trash cans, or steal.
