His nose was broken a couple of times, but he didn't miss much action. At least that's the only injury I know of; I have been gone for a couple of weeks, but I saw one game on cable in which he played. The Celtics have just completed a rough schedule of about 1 1/2 months of nothing but back-to-back games in different cities. At this writing, they are 13-1 at home, 13-5 on the road. Their losses are to Milwaukee (2), Detroit, Chicago, Washington, and Philadelphia. Well, since I boasted about how strong Washington was, they have gone 5-7, including a loss to the Cadavaliers tonight. They will easily finish third in the division, but don't appear ready to contend. On the other hand, Milwaukee is playing great ball, despite my expectation that they would fade. They now appear to be the class of their division. -- --Bruce Nemnich, Thinking Machines Corporation, Cambridge, MA ihnp4!godot!bruce, bjn@mit-mc.arpa ... soon to be bruce@tm.arpa
