Wrong.  The average murderer commits six violent crimes before killing
(U. S. Senate study).  65 to 70% of the people arrested for murder have
records -- AS DO 40-50% OF THE VICTIMS.  The myth of "most murders are
family squabbles and barfights"  is generally supported on the basis 
of a 1980 FBI study showing that 51% of murderers were well-known to their
victims--but most murders are an adjunct to the drug trade and other
underworld activities where the parties involved are "business" associates.
