FUNDAMENTAL RULE ON GOSSIP: (Based on my experiences in co-op housing, 
but probly applying equally well to work) The only thing worth
gossipping about is an unstable situation--so you can usually
expect about of week of intense speculation when people discover
what is going on, and you'll be providing long-term entertainment
if you have an off-and-on-again or rocky romance or if you try
solving n (n>2) body problems, but you can bore them into not
worrying about you QUITE easily....
