My answering machine is a VAX.] It has become clear to me that Jeff is having a relationship with the net! He cries; the net pats his back. He whines; the net tells him that every- thing is OK. The net suggests ways in which he can find an SO; he ALWAYS finds some excuse why that won't work. Why? Because Jeff's SO >>IS<< the net, and we are trying to fix him up with someone else. My friend Sherman had his (former) SO try to fix him up with someone else, and he felt simply terrible for months afterwards. Let's stop tormenting Jeff in this manner. I'm sure that Jeff doesn't realize that he is relying on the net as a substitute for an SO, but it does appear to be the case. Since Jeff seems to be the monogamous type, perhaps he should ``break up'' with the net and try a relationship with a person. >Robin<
