I have been given the Personal Communications Manager on loan to be
used with my PC. This is a communications program written for IBM by
MICROCOM, Inc. It is supposed to emulate an "intelligent terminal".
Unfortunately, there is no indication on what type of a terminal it is
supposed to emulate. I am trying to link to a VAX using UNIX 4.2 and
have tried to get it to emulate a VT52, VT100, and a Visual 200, without
any success.
Of course, the local IBM product center was of no help either (I am
not sure the person I talked to even knew what a terminal emulator is!) They
did not even know the phone number or address of MICROCOM.
If there is anybody out there using this product, could you please
let me know what type of terminal this thing is emulating. If someone
has a TERMCAP entry for it, that would also help.
