Pardons in advance if this is a previously-reported problem (I am
fairly new to USEnet/notes):

I set my character erase to the DELETE key, since I also access VMS
systems here. When in a "subprompt", such as "s" (for save note to
UNIX file), every time I use the DELETE key I lose two characters per
keystroke.

With enough DELETE keystrokes, I end up deleting the prompt!

Does anyone have a simple fix for this problem? If not, I'll go ahead
& try to hack it out myself.

Thanx,
