This reminds me of one of the neatest weddings I ever attended, which was
worth the 800-mile round trip and the speeding ticket (don't speed in
Wisconsin if you value your money).  One of the things the couple said to
each other in their vows was approximately as follows:  "I will work for
your best interests through all the changes of your life."  A very realistic
recognition of the same point Sunny made.  (I suspect that perhaps the fact
that the relationship of that couple almost broke up after they had dated for
years, and then came back together, helped them toward this realism.)
