The mad slasher has done it again! The no-so-gentlemanly
stick work of Islander goalie Billy Smith has put Chicago Black
Hawk Curt Fraser out for about 6 weeks with fractures suffered
by a slash/poke/whatever to the head. Smith has always
been known to use his stick for more than stopping pucks.
In the same game Fraser was hurt, he hit at least one
other Hawk and had 2 penalties called on him. I hope the
tapes sent to the league office cause "the slasher" to get
a nice little suspension. Rough play in hockey is normal,
but stick work, and I don`t mean fancy stick handling, is
just a bit too much.
