After examining all the arguments I realize I was wrong when
I did not support a handgun ban. It was mainly Jeff`s logic that
changed my mind. I stand corrected.

The purpose of handguns is to kill people. We should get rid of them.

Heroin was created as a pain killer, but became abused. We
made heroin illegal and now it is impossible to obtain heroin
except for a few areas in NYC.

Prostitution is illegal and so in most cases you must
leave the country to find a prostitute easily.

Lets do the same with handguns.

However once the handguns are gone, knives and rifles remain. What then?
We should go further and ban murderers. The purpose of a murderer is
to murder. All people will be questioned on thier intentions. Then
there will be a drastic reduction in murders. The only way this could
fail is if the murderers didn't admit they were murderers.
