I would agree that this price is not unreasonable.  If some of the 
principal characters were not getting that much, maybe they should
have received more.  Considering the amount that was made from the
box office, they could have afforded it!

It is always much more effective to keep the same actors or
actresses for an established role!  Kristie Alley in my opinion
established the Saavik role in TWOK.
