I have been asked to recommend purchase of a PC which will be used
on 240V/50HZ power (specifically, in Nairobi, Kenya). I have decided on
the COMPAQ for several reasons, but am still concerned about the power
situation. I will need to run the computer both here and in Kenya, and
I believe that by using a small 240/120 transformer I will be able to
run the computer on 120V/50HZ there.

I would appreciate response by mail from anyone with a knowledgable opinion.
