Whoa! It was never said that Loni Anderson's character was in any way a
dumb blonde. If anything, the evidence shows that it was Jennifer who
practically ran the station single-handed.

Further, the Jennifer character was a much stronger and more self-asserting
individual. Bailey, on the other hand, spent much of the series as the
quiet, unassuming individual. If she seemed to have more of a personality,
it was only because the producers preferred to keep Jennifer veiled in a
cloud of mystery.
