Message-ID: <428@hoxna.UUCP> Date: Wed, 2-Jan-85 15:25:20 EST Article-I.D.: hoxna.428 Posted: Wed Jan 2 15:25:20 1985 Date-Received: Thu, 3-Jan-85 04:24:04 EST Organization: Bell Labs, Holmdel NJ Lines: 17 I'm in the market for a VCR, but am unsure what's good stuff and what's junk. Talking to salesmen is pretty baffling, particularly with all the fast talk. I've got friends with Panasonic and Fisher, both pleased with their purchases. In addition I own a Mitsubishi TV which I am extremely pleased with, so my instincts are to trust in their VCR's. I hadn't even thought of Beta format until reading this group today. I'd appreciate your comments on brands, pointers to good reviews (my trusty Consumer Reports doesn't have the latest scoop, unfortunately), and impressions on which bells and whistles are useful/superfluous. I will summarize if there is sufficient interest. Thanks in advance. ---------------- Eric Asbeck AT&T Bell Labs, Holmdel {houxf, harpo}!hoxna!ela
