more about German:

the way they say "one" is "man".

in German:  	man = Mann,
		woman = frau
		one = man

If you read feminist literature in German, you'll discover some writers
substitute "frau" everywhere one would normally use "man".

(Germans use sentences with the word "one" ("man") much more often
then one sees it in English.)
