I should probably stay out of this, but it's getting
late in the week and my mind is starting to go.

With a title like "net.general", many are bound to
see it as another net.misc, and of course, there are
those who see it as "net.onlywhatIthinkisimportant".

Net.general does not appear as cluttered with
seemingly inappropriate junk as do net.singles and net.women,
yet I haven't noticed much clamor to do away with these
groups. Maybe I'm missing the boat. I admit that I don't
have the keen sense of propriety with which so many
netters are apparently blessed.

Oh, and by the way, the net.abolish idea sounds like it
might fly, but,..I can see it now: "...a serious proposal
to abolish net.abolish...".

                                   Most Humbly,

                                   Rich Ganns
