Many people were kind enough to reply that Macwrite could be used for technical wp by using the built in subscript feature, and adding appropriate fonts. I even got a copy of the Princeton Fonts, and it does indeed work reasonably. However, this approach has its problems. Only one level of subscript is possible in general (2 in some special cases). Building oversize symbols on separate lines is not really very convenent. Does anyone know of efforts to produce a word processor which supports technical wp more generally? As a related question, has anyone done a DITROFF filter for previewing TROFF output on the Mac? -- Ken Mandelberg Emory University Dept of Math and CS Atlanta, Ga 30322 {akgua,sb1,gatech,decvax}!emory!km USENET km@emory CSNET km.emory@csnet-relay ARPANET
