	Ahem.  Do *we* have anything to say about this?  I mean, actually
chewing and gnawing is probably a bit overmuch, but nibbling is alright.

	Be it known that one of the reasons Wombats are so placid (a trait
occasionally mistaken for stupidity) is that they have no real natural
enemies, and thus have not found it necessary to evolve into a more active
mammal--like those hyperactive koalas, for instance.

	By the way, Don Wegeng (rocksvax!dw) asked (in another article)
*which* parts of the Wombat are protected under the Wildlife Act of 1975;
well, Don, all those parts involved in the, ah, propagation and continuation
of the species are covered, so to speak.  Oh, and the paws; for without them,
the Wombat would be unable to communicate.  :-)
