I'm interested in what other people "check out" in members of the other sex during casual encounters. For instance, when a guy is walking down the street and sees a female-type approaching where do his eyes go? If he's really shy, probably to his shoes, but in general I imagine he checks out some part of her anatomy. I imagine this activity is not restricted merely to men but I (of course) have no first hand experience. Back in my undergrad days a friend of mine claimed that a woman looked a guy in the eyes to see where he was looking at her. So, I started to look women directly in the eyes to see if this was true. I was surprised to learn that I actually LIKE looking them in the eyes first (you know, window into the soul and all that :-)). Too bad so many refuse to hold eye contact for longer than 3 pico-seconds. My experiment continues ... ps - no flames about negative connotations of "checking out"; it really goes on (and innocently too!) -- Rick Gillespie rick@ucla-cs ...!{cepu|ihnp4|sdcrdcf|ucbvax}!ucla-cs!rick "She turned me into a newt! . . .
