I have read the discussions of driving vs flying. There is a
place for both particularly when your wife is unwilling to fly.
Any comments on how to handle that?

I do agree that stopping for fuel can be time consuming especially
if you are IFR. However I have done to family reunions and funerals
in one day that would have taken two days driving. I circle the
family house and they come to meet me at the airport.

I live near Morristown, NJ and my son goes to Ursinus at Collegeville,
Pa. Driving takes two hours and leaves me somewhat frustrated
because of traffice congestion. If I fly and take a folding bicycle
it takes 1:45 minutes. I saved 15 minutes but I am relaxed and
got about 20 minutes of good exercise. I have flown to Florida three
time with my kids. However with the event of New York Air and
Peoplexpress, it is cheaper to fly commerical. However when I flew
prviately I stopped at Atlanta on time at Stone Mountain, another
time at Charlette NC , and another time at Nashville for Oprey Land
Park.

I enjoy flying and try to make it work whenever I can.
