[Please, boss don't read this]

A couple of years ago, my SO was attacked and beaten up by a bunch of kids
on the streets of Santa Clara, California just for WALKING DOWN THE BLOODY
STREET!!! They started harassing SO for NO REASON AT ALL, they were just being
the complete scums they were.

We tried reporting the incident to the local police, and their attitude was
so-what-we-don't-care-by-the-way-why-did-you-provoke-them? So much for the
"justice" system. People wonder why I'm so bitter all the time, but after
looking at the world around me, I can't help it. Sometimes I wish it were legal
to blow these people away; then they would think twice about it. Also, it would
help control the population. I wanted to laugh when the Governor said in his
"State of the state" speech about making the streets a safer place to be or some
such, but I felt more like crying.

It's getting pretty bad when a person can't walk down the street without
being harrassed/insulted/worse.

It really burns me to see people defending these scums and saying why-
don't-we-set-them-free-to-do-it-again!

Hey, Europe/Canada, can people walk the streets and go about their business
in comparative safety? Got two jobs open for us? (semi- :-)

I don't usually post to net.flame; last time I did somebody mailed me a
flame in response to it.

                                       I am not going to sign it;
                                       You know who I am.

Well, I got that off my chest.
