Twenty(!) minutes later the disk moved and everything was fine. Could someone please explain what MacWrite is doing for those 20 minutes? This was on a fat Mac. While editing nothing was particularly slow, only the save. (Irrelevantly, I think, I was using MAC SPELL RIGHT. That's where I got 3.8, from Assimilation Process Inc. By the way, if you add words to the dictionary, there is no way to take them out! In your document or the dictionary.)
