I lived on a farm that was way out in the boonies, and the house is about a mile from the nearest road. Nobody comes around unless they come through a driveway or sneak thru the mile long trek thru the vineyard. Off duty police officer? No way. As for neighbors and folks, they are equally far away. When they notice something, they always call first. Out this far away, everyone always deals with trouble themselves, if you wait for the police to get there, your throat would be slit before they got in the driveway. Life in rural areas tends to be a lot different than in urban ones... Milo
