I am writing a paper on the wonders of UNIX, and (in my opinion) one of its greatest attributes is its small size. To support this, I am trying to gather data on UNIX and other, larger operating systems. This is your chance to tell me all about your pet peave OS. I would like the following information on any and all big and ugly OS's : 1. Name of the OS and the machine(s) it runs on 2. Number of system calls (entry points, if that makes more sense) 3. Size of the source code (approximate number of lines) 4. Size of the executable I would also appreciate someone with Sys V on a Vax or 3B to let me know this information. I have 4.2 here, but both would be better. Please mail me the information personally, if I get a good response I will post the results. Thank you in advance.
