Message-ID: <1024@sunybcs.UUCP> Date: Wed, 9-Jan-85 00:58:02 EST Article-I.D.: sunybcs.1024 Posted: Wed Jan 9 00:58:02 1985 Date-Received: Wed, 9-Jan-85 08:19:56 EST Distribution: net Organization: State University of New York @ Buffalo,NY Lines: 19 Xref: watmath net.micro:9026 net.micro.pc:3081 I recently purchased a QUBIE 1200 baud modem (plug-in card type) for my LEADING EDGE PC. I constantly get extraneous characters on my screen. Sometimes the garbage appears more frequently than others. Are the QUBIE modems known for poor noise reduction, or do I have an exceptionally noisy phone line? Other users at my site have complained about some noise on our 1200 baud lines, but it seems that I am getting more than my share. I used to use a 300 baud modem and never had this sort of trouble. Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Please mail responses. Thanks in advance! -- ----- Mark D.
