I saw a report on Entertainment Tonight that Sony has just announced
a new VCR at a Consumer Product Show. The VCR apparently uses
20% more bandwidth on the tape resulting in a marked improvement
in video resolution.

Does anyone know the details or specs of this new product?
Does it merely use the 1MHZ bandwidth now used by Beta HiFi?
