That's why I always use "*" when VMSINSTAL asks for the product.
Then it'll install whatever it finds on the media to install.  I suppose
this can get you into trouble if you aren't careful what you put
into the floppy drive, but at least I don't have to wait for the damn
slow floppy drive to fail to find a product name I or DEC mis-typed.

ps.  By the way, has anyone else had any luck getting their layered
     product distributions on magtape?  It's supposedly possible, but
     so far I haven't seen anything on magtape that used to come on
     floppy.
