(-:] seriously, all this commotion, just because someone has no manners? I'm disappointed, a little, that Mr. Adrian is getting all this attention. This net is "anarchic" which means that any nut can speak in any ill-mannered way he cares to. However that is not an excuse for every respectable person to throw a fit of righteousness and threaten to quick. I agree, it is disagreeable to be the target of Mr. Adrian's words, but for what it's worth, I feel his words were directed at anyone who identified with what Lauren and others were doing, so anyone who sends turds and spit, please mail me some, or come do it in person, if you dare. I'll have my lawyer stand by ... No, I'll not lift my fists, I'll just feel sorry for any poor slob who cares for "Mr. Adrian's" methods. OH, and yes, I do believe, that STARGATE might be the beginning of the end for our little exercise in anarchy, but then I prefer that to the total breakdown of the net. But anything that existed nationwide up to now, can exist in similar size and numbers in every city now or "real soon now". There are enough people right here in town with PCs and an opinion on everything, to fill news-groups enough to hit "U". So just because you can't garble at someone at the other end of the country, doesn't mean you have noone else to talk to electronically. But at the expense of the longer-distance calls, I can't really expect anyone to be willing to pay for such "expensive" garble. As to "Mr. Adrian", I hope that he gets some talking to from other users at his site; obviously he is frustrated and needs attention during his "growing-up-period". Hmmm, I vaguely remember some time and place, many years ago, when I was so frustrated I said some things .... ah, but there was no USENET then, just my kind of luck .... >> At this point, I wouldn't blame Lauren if he dropped the whole thing ... Ah, but I would .... be disappointed. Come on Lauren, you know that there are many more "Adrians" out there, and not being able to avoid that they get to say their "five-cents-worth" is part of the game (if not the fun) Onward through the fog .... you are not alone, we are all in it.
