Mine is a tale of misfortune.

On a winter day (yesterday), I went into a store and had a really
good bargain, or so I thought. A pack of disks with attractive packaging,
DSDD - C$22.00 !! Never believing the tales of format failure, I went ahead
and bought 2 boxes.

	So, I typed :

		format b:

and the format was ok. 2nd disk was ok as well. But the 3rd disk
said :
		format failure
"Fluke", I thought, and reformatted, it worked, 2 more disks with
format failure was formatted the 2nd time. THEN disk #7 came and :
	1st time :
		format failure
	2nd time :
		format failure
	3rd time :
		format failure
	4th time :
		format failure

	I gave up.

After formatting all 20 disks, I compiled the following statistics :

Tries	|	1	|	2	|	3	|	*	|
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
#	|	9	|	7	|	2	|	2	|
=========================================================================

* indicates # of disks that wouldn't format at all after 4th attempt.

This story has no morale. I wish I had never gone out at all
yesterday.
