Someone posted this a long time back in net.jokes. alias rot13 'cat \!* | tr n-za-mN-ZA-M a-zA-Z' When you want to rotate a joke, make the final joke in a file and then say: % rot13 file_name > temp_file The temp_file will be rotated and you can then say 'postnews temp_file'. Its that easy. To decode a joke, from readnews say 'D 13' or to save it to a file, 'D 13>file_name' or 'D 13>>file_name'. iIf it is in a file already you can say 'cat file_name | tr a-zA-Z n-za-mN-ZA-M'. -Steve
