Well, this now that were initialized, let's get underway.

  I don't have hack source (as do 90% of the people playing it it
seems) and am having a few problems playing it.  First is that I am
using an adm3a and messages and inventory, etc. do not get erased and
clutter up my screen so that I resort to redraws all the time.  Is there
a way to tell hack what kind of terminal I am on.  Rogue and vi and all
the other niftie screen stuff works great except for hack.  
  How about instructions, what keys do what?  How does one blow a
whistle and what do all those gems do?
