[I suggest "high-levity" instead of "high-levelness"]

I like Laura's suggested heuristics, although the explicit inclusion of
a string type smacks of a crock.  Since I'm a pascal-hater too, let it
pass.

Here's one I'd suggest adding to the list, which I think is important:

n.	User-defined types (or "objects" if you like) must be full citizens,
	with all the rights and privs of pre-defined types.
