Summary:

I haven't yet tried to compile Hack -- it would be futile. Neither the
compiler nor the assembler recognize >8 significant characters, and the
compiler drops one character off the right to add a `_' on the left.
Does anyone have a program to find and replace long identifiers in multiple
program modules? (I had started on one, but either I don't understand
lex or it doesn't work on our system; the generated analyzers dump core.)

Thanks in advance--
