No, but we might have net.trans.auto, etc... The problem is that many of these groups were installed before we made the committment to subgrouping, and we haven't really figured out a usable way of renaming them. What we HAVE tried to do, though, is set up new groups to fit in properly with the new naming scheme so we don't need to change it again later. The most appropriate place for a group like this would be 'net.nlang.india' (not 'net.nlang.asia-- much to broad a base), not net.india. This isn't a vote for or against net.nlang.india (although I am not sure there is a lot of need for it, really) just an attempt at an explanation of the overall naming scheme for groups on the net. We've been working, on and off, on a document that we could use to officially put together the naming space of the net, but it is being done by a bunch of volunteers who simply haven't had time to finish it. sigh. chuq -- From the ministry of silly talks: Chuq Von Rospach {allegra,cbosgd,hplabs,ihnp4,seismo}!nsc!chuqui nsc!chuqui@decwrl.ARPA National Semiconductor does not require useless disclaimers on posted material that is obviously not posted by company spokesmen...
