Message-ID: <637@hou5a.UUCP> Date: Fri, 4-Jan-85 12:21:48 EST Article-I.D.: hou5a.637 Posted: Fri Jan 4 12:21:48 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 5-Jan-85 03:16:24 EST Organization: AT&T Information Systems Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ Lines: 18 An examination of the last three seasonal Heathkit catalogs indicates that Heathkit has decided to do away with their high- end stereo kits. I come to that conclusion since two seasons ago, the catalog had all of the Pro-series components and the catalog distributed last season had the audio tuner kit replaced with another manufacturer's preassembled product (without having offered their usual last-chance warning in the preceding issue either.) This season's catalog has the pre-amp kit replaced and the rack- mount cabinet displayed as a last-chance item. This means that they will probably sell other manufacturer's products as a component system, but these will all be preassembled. -- Harlan B. Braude {most "backbone" sites}!hou5a!hbb
