So far the only discussion I have seen has been on the Sony ICF-2002 and ICF-7600. Are there any other radios out there I should consider? I don't know anything about short wave so I am not sure what I should look for. Also if I can still find a Sony ICF-6500 is it a good radio to get. I know it has an LCD display but does it have quartz lock tuning? Since I am new to this I am not even sure if I should be looking at portables or a base unit. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. If there are any books or magazines I should read to help me get started let me know. Thanks. Jerry Ruhno epsilon!mb2c!gbr
