In Indianapolis, an ordinance patterned after the one in Minn. was passed by the City Council, and Mayor Hudnut promptly signed it into law. All of this took place shortly after the 60 Minutes broadcast (I believe about 2-3 months ago), and so the discussion is no longer academic. The last I heard, the law had not been invoked by police, but nevertheless was being challenged in court by a Naptown bookstore owner. Does anyone know more about the challenge, like if it has gone to court yet?
