I was wondering if anyone out there in net.land would be interested in a
play-by-mail sf-semi-role-playing game. I don't really want to post a set
of rules until I see what (if any) response I get.

The general idea would be this:
    1) Each player starts out as the "ruler" of a planet with a population
       of 35 million.
    2) The idea is to explore the galaxy, colonize planets, and blast the *$#$@
out of the other players when they "drop in for a visit" on your planets.
    3) Combat would be resolved by the GM (me), and detailed results posted to
       all players involved.

I had in mind maybe a 80 or so turn game...longer than that if people wanted
to continue.

Let me know if you're interested, either
by mail or by posting to net.games (for
                          lack of a better newsgroup).
