Lines: 16 Hooking up an SCSI disk is fairly easy. First, get a hard disk. The $159 5Mbyte one from Priority-1 comes to mind. Then get a SCSI -> Drive adapter. In this case the Xebec SASI -> ST506 model could be used. Then connect a cable between your SCSI port and the Xebec controller. Power up the drive and computer and voila! hard disk. We assume that os9 has the drivers installed. And for you jargon nuts the SASI and SCSI interfaces are equivalent, the first the Shugart Assoc Systems Interface became the Small Computer Systems Interface. The SCSI+ that Ampro has on their boards is an unrecognized extension (although downwardly compatible). --Chuck -- - - - D I S C L A I M E R - - - {ihnp4,fortune}!dual\ All opinions expressed herein are my {qantel,idi}-> !intelca!cem own and not those of my employer, my {ucbvax,hao}!hplabs/ friends, or my avocado plant. :-}
