The laser beams needed to find the UCP symbol on a package
of food at the local supermarket are the result of passing
a single beam through a hologram.  Many applications re-
quiring intricate patterns do not use mirrors due to the
problems of alignment and complexity.  Also, the holograms
can be mass produced keeping costs to a minimum.
Just thought you'd like to know.
