I received a recall notice for my 84 Dodge Caravan last week. I think
the problem applies to other Chrysler cars with the 2.2L engine.

It seems they have had problems with the fuel lines cracking and causing
a fire. The fix is simple. They install an extra bracket to hold
the line steady and take the strain (from vibration I suppose) off of
it.

At the same time they fixed another notorious problem with the Caravan.
There is good possibility that slamming the sliding door with its window
latched open will shatter the window. We broke one this way and I can
tell you it makes a mess. It was replaced under warranty. The guys from
the glass co. said they were doing a booming business replacing those
windows. The problem seems to be that there is not enough support for
the window where the window latch meets the glass. There is one screw
fastened through a hole in the glass. They fixed it by placing a plastic
piece (about 2''x3'') around that hole to give more support to the glass.
