I think the idea of the Israeli women fighting alongside of the men is
a little romantic.....In the past and in the movies.  Now, however, you
can forget it!  Women are NOT on the front-lines, and are kept away from
the dangerous areas.  They instead have the aforementioned "desk jobs",
and do, in fact, some of the duties that do not require any lethality at
all.  (at least this was the case when I was last there five years ago!)
