the  petition  of  sideband   technologies,   inc,   sti,   for
reallocation  of 216 to 222 mhz for narrow band land mobile use
is back on the front burner.  rm 4831 had been placed  on  hold
pending  solution  of  a  problem  involving  attorneys.   that
problem now having been resolved, the fcc chief  scientist  has
established the deadline for comment in reference to rm 4831 as
december 19, 1984.  reply comments are due on january 3,  1985.
official  participation  requires the filing of an original and
five copies, though even  a  single  page  will  be  considered
informally  ar
