What do we consider the established purpose of this list to be? Is it to discuss "political" issues, technical issues, or both? For a long time, I thought this was a technical group, to discuss programs, drivers, bugs, and such. Lately, it seems to be becoming much more a political forum. I'm not complaining, but is this really what this list should be used for? I'm afraid that a lot of wizards are starting to drop off the list since they don't have the time nor the inclination to handle all the non-technical messages in this group. Some people are amazingly inundated with mail... Perhaps the less technical comments (including my own) should be directed to info-unix.... --Lauren--
