Staying in Tahoe---Being a regular on the ski slopes of
North Lake Tahoe, I'm aware of several good and bad places
to stay. The best-North Star at Truckee( call information
for the phone) has condos of differing sizes and a ski area
to boot. It is 15 minutes from Squaw and Alpine Meadows.

In Tahoe City--Dollar Hill is OK. It is .5 hours from
from Tahoe Ski Bowl, Homewod, Squaw, and Alpine Meadows.

By the way, the shortest lift lines are at Mt. Rose and
Tahoe Ski Bowl. Squaw and Alpine Meadows compete for the
longest lines
