While I haven't yet ordered anything video from a mail order place, I know
some who have.  I heard good things about Best Price Video.  However, I
sent them $2 for their "catalog", only to receive a laundry-list of
available equipment, but no prices!  What kind of catalog is that?  Also,
friends have only good things to say about Labelle of Maine for photo
gear - they also carry video stuff.

Regarding the comment about 47th St. Photo being able to sell things below
cost (though the reason was truncated from the message I recieved), this
reminds me of the old joke "Sure, we lose $10 on every sale, but we make
it up in volume!"
