Yes, Virginia, there is a regular expression handling editor (of sorts,
anyway).

The WATCOM editor.  Supports ^, $, ., *, and & .

The editor's not bad.  It can't put a tab in a file though.

More info and/or a refernece manual I expect can be obtained from
    WATCOM Products Inc.
