Dr. Who in Dallas was never on PBS; it was on one of the local independent
commercial stations.  It aired in a late-night weekday slot across from
All in the Family and was liberally laced with K-Tel commercials.  It lasted
a surprisingly long time -- two seasons, I think -- but gathered little
apparent support beyond a high-school fan club.  It's been off the air for
years now.  I don't think it even shows on cable, even if I had cable.

At this point, I wouldn't complain about pledge drives or even irregular 
showtimes.  If it were on PBS it would at least be on.
