Blue shuttles:

I thought everybody knew the jargon, you all seem to write that way.
It's just Jargon. In the past Blue == Air Force, it's not DOD == Blue.
It's a mission just means the DOD's in control and information is not
released to the public.

As far as launch sites go. You can just about launch a missile into orbit
from anyway [you just can't get any orbit in some 'short' period of time].

2010: Aero braking. Lots of problems with the movie. You said them all.
Technically we have not aerobraking on any mission. Reentry is not
considered aerobraking. It might be used in the Venus mapper mission
if that mission is approved. Don't take that movie too seriously, for that
matter Star Wars had problem..... Enjoy it!
