I'm considering a high performance car, specifically a Camaro IROC. Among the options is air conditioning for 730.00$! I live in the S.F. bay area so I only use air conditioning occasionally. How much weight does air conditioning add? How much power does it use? Does it cause any drag when *not* in use? Also available are rear wheel discs. Do these add significant unsprung weight? Does such a car *need* discs on the rear? The car has seat belts that don't hold one to the seat except in conditions of rapid decceleration. This isn't so good for sport driving. Does anyone know of replacement belts that will hold, and are retractible when not in use? Thank you for any advice on the car or my questions. " Cogito ergo Spud.
