Forgive me if I'm bringing up a subject which has been done to death in the past, but I'm a relatively recent netter and haven't seen this before. What cheap, dry white wines do you netters imbibe? What do you pay for them? Why do you like them (if you like them!)? My *House White* is usually Gallo's Sauvignon Blanc - my corner liquor store sells a magnum (1.5 litres) for $4.69. For a cheap, bulk wine it shows remarkable varietal character - it's light, dry and slightly grassy. I also like Riverside Farm (Foppiano) Premium Dry White at around $4 for a magnum. It's got a lot of French Colombard in it, but avoids the sickly sweetness often associated with that grape. -- Rod Williams dual!ptsfa!ptsfc!rjw
