After just seeing 2010, I was reminded again about software tapeworms. Now, forgetting about security on various systems, and trying not to be system specific, how would you create one??? Consider what it has to do: 1) Go through memory (of all types!) and remove all references to wombats. 2) Do so in unknown structures, and not leave holes. 3) Be above reproach (ie, if the program was searching for "wombats", it would attempt to remove "wombats" from itself, rendering it useless) 4) Probably be able to burrow around for a while, and then pop back up to do its deed. (Speaking of which, does anybody KNOW anything about the infamous Cookie Monster?) Send to me, and I'll summarize. Ross M. Greenberg @ NYU ----> allegra!cmcl2!acf4!greenber <---- /* ---------- */
