You are talking about pencils/listings/terminals/ manuals. The correct anology would be somebody stealing your programs (the "fruits of your labour" ) and putting their name on them. "build a fence to keep them out"? I suppose *you* might, but wouldn't it be cheaper to get a file cabinet to lock your stuff up in? Or better yet, just inform your boss of the theft!
