That's right, Jeff. You don't measure up to Christ, and neither do
I or anyone else. He was (is, will be) perfect, something we can
never hope for. Just because you're not perfect doesn't make you
a rotten person.

No it doesn't. What it means is a tremendous improvement in the
way you feel, in the way you relate to the world. Really helps
with those interpersonal relationships. (read: you feel more
comfortable with people, including Frauleins)

Look, Jeff, if you don't like Purdue or Indiana, fine. But come up
with valid complaints, ok? What do you mean by "backward"? Are you
talking about culture? I went to more films, concerts, etc. at Purdue
in a couple monthes than I went to in 5.5 years in chi-town. Elliot
Hall of Music is the largest operating music hall in the US. And the
accustics are quite excellant. You yourself are involved in the theater.
I *assume* you aren't talking about research. What is it that you don't
like? Aren't there any French resteraunts(sp?) to your liking?

If you really don't like it there, do a little research and find a
place you *do* like. Then get yourself a job there, sell the house
and *move*. As you know, I just left Chi-town for the silicon
rainforest. Why? I hated it there. 30 below for weeks on end,
politics everywhere you look, the roads are so bad you need a
jeep with a winch to get out of the chuckholes, and even then there
isn't a way to get from where you are to where you need to get
without going twice as far as necessary because all the roads go
the wrong way. and the salt, and the jerks, and everyone's favorite
pastime is eating out for dinner, because that's all there is to do!
Unless you feel like going downtown and getting mugged or worse.
So I decided what I was looking for, got a couple of books with
info on weather, housing prices, entertainment, population, etc
for various areas. From this I decided on either Portland or Seattle.
And here I am, much happier. Sure it rain a lot. But remember, that
sort of implies that it's above freezing! And rain is hi-tech: it's
self-shoveling. :-) And the people are very friendly here. So
friendly that I had two dates the first weekend here. Which is two more
than the first two *years* in Chittown. (note to Chuq: no, don't start the
rumor factory back up, I'm still looking for "Miss Right" -sigh- )
And without making comparisons, let me say that the management at
Tek is excellant.

So, Jeff, if you *really* don't like it there, you can do the same.
Find a place you like, and move there.

Hmmm, I don't remember any of your doors being large enough
to require that size of doorstop... :-)
