Someone posted an article saying Israel Independence Day as a holiday
because it ended 2000 years of Diaspora.
I don't care what anyone tells me we are still in Galut(Exile/Diaspora).
If anyone says the Galut has ended, read all of Isiah and Jeremiah to
find what the redemption will be like.
1) There is no permanent peace in middle east.
2) There is no king/ruler/governor from the seed of David.
3) There is not a Torah abiding goverment.
4) I see no Temple but a Mosque on the temple mount.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that even before the redemption if G-d
grants us the freedom to live in Eretz Yisrael we should celebrate,
but don't tell me the diaspora has ended.
