If you haven't had this answered before, I may be able to help. (if you have had it answered, throw this away.) The only light I can shed is that it sounds to me like you are using the wrong kind of files. Use binhex to make "text" files which already exist on the mac into lauchable things. This text file must have been saved using binhex. It doesn't work on .rsrc files or .dl files - for those you need fromhex. Forgive me if I am telling you something you already know.
