If my aged grandmother was scared by a big guy who was just walking down the street minding his own business I certainly wouldn't get mad at him, or even think that he should cross the street. I expect that when I am falling in ruins I'll still feel the same way. There is just no way I could seriously expect someone to cross the street to "pander" to my fears.
