$2000 for 30,000 lines of code sounds like a bargain to me!!!


	On the subject, a recent paper suggested that relatively
straightforward syntactic transducers from HLL to HLL are easy to produce,
and effective in practice.

	By the way, there is a startup firm in Pittsburgh called
Lexeme [a spin off from Unilogic, a spin off from CMU...] that
specializes in HLL to HLL translators.
