Ah, but what constitutes a MARRIAGE from a Christian point of view?
I seem to remember one of Paul's letters admonishing some people for
doing business with working girls because the very act of "joining"
with them was a marriage in the eyes of God. So while today most people
consider a marriage to be a social contract involving a government,
Christians I believe, should ask themselves what a marriage really is
before they say that it is alright to have sex with anyone they please,
and that as long as they are not "officially" married it is not a sin.
Of course Paul also said that nothing is evil of itself, but if you
believe it to be a sin - THEN IT IS! (That is of course a paraphrase.)

(Please note that the above has absolutely nothing to do with what I
actually believe or don't believe, just an observation from my
independent readings of a most worthy piece of literature.)
