That idea about letting the government pay for Public Television
is very nice. As a matter of fact, it already happens; much of the pledge
money which Public television stations raise is matched dollar-for-dollar
by various and sundry Federal agencies.
Remember, too, that if the government funds PBS stations entirely,
then the whole world will start screaming 'censorship' when something
*doesn't* appear because the sponsor (the US Government) refuses to sponsor
it.
