Before we do too much more flaming (over my messages or any others),
I have a question.  What do we consider the established purpose of
this list to be?  Is it to discuss "political" issues, technical issues,
or both?  For a long time, I thought this was a technical group, to
discuss programs, drivers, bugs, and such.  Lately, it seems to be
becoming much more a political forum.  I'm not complaining, but is this
really what this list should be used for?  I'm afraid that a lot of
wizards are starting to drop off the list since they don't have the
time nor the inclination to handle all the non-technical messages
in this group.  Some people are amazingly inundated with mail...

Perhaps the less technical comments (including my own) should be directed
to info-unix....
