As a non-feminist woman I knew in college once said (in response to our
telling her we (and she) were women, not girls),

"but you're not a woman until you're married!"

(no lie!)

(It was a good school, though.  I think a lot of us were transformed into
feminists of varying degrees.  Even her.  Even me.)
