   Dave,

  I believe Buddhists would dis-agree very strongly with your statements.

   Shakyamuni Buddha gained "perfect enlightenment" on Dec 8th in the
  6th century B.C. There are probably more groups who have "Holy Days"
  (holidays) in December. What about the "pagan" feasts during the winter
  solstice? Anyone else know of other "holidays" which occur during December?
