Anyone out there who has seen the Masterpiece Theatre presentation
of "Upstairs, Downstairs" may have realized who Lord Gilmore
(I believe?) was played by.  For those of you who didn't, the
following quote might give it away (especially the sixth word):

    "I can be my own master now..."
