I am interested in purchasing a walkaround personal stereo (of which
the SONY Walkman is one example). I am writing this note to try to get
consumer references.

Things important to me include fidelity both on FM and tape, comfort,
recording ability and robustness. High volume level is NOT important - in
fact it is a DISadvantage if it crowds the volume range I'm interested in into
a tiny portion of the dial.

Any consumers' reports I can get on the electronics, the headphones,
or places to buy them are appreciated. Thanks in advance...
