I need a database system. Recommendations from people are hereby
solicited.

The application is the following: The department gets a number of
applications for faculty positions. In the past, they've tracked
these with a manual system but now they want to computerize. They
keep information on things like name, address, how the person has been
rated by reviewers, whether they've been invited to talk, etc. The
mass of data doesn't sound like it's going to be very large but the
kinds of queries might be a little unpredictable. The people entering
the information into the database are not programmers.

The available configuration is a 128K Mac with two disk drives.

Send me your experiences and I'll summarize.
