It offers 720x348 pixels resolution, and there is a version which fits the AT. It is also very avail- able and is offered by numerous dealers for about $500. There is a software package from Hercules which supplies compatibility to most IBM monochrome graphics/text functions ($100), and there is a program called PC PLOT-III ($95) from a company in Ann Arbor, MI which emulates, VT100, TEK 4010, and accomplishes screen dumps for a variety of printers. So this is a low cost solution, although with only 348 pixels vertical it is hard to call it "high resolution". There are lots of monitors which are adequate for work with the Hercules. For high resolution monochrome you might consider the CSD Inc. 4-79 board ($995) at 1024x1024 pixels or their 4-111 board ($2000) at 2048x2048 pixels. At this point you will have to be much more selective about the monitor you use in order to retain this resolution--sorry i dont have any info on those. C.S.D. Inc.'s address is P.O. There are many companies which offer color display adapters, but so far the just-announced I.B.M.
