In ElectronicsWeek (formerly Electronics) November 26, 1984 pp. 38-39
there is an article on In-House publishing, the start-ups that are
getting into the act, and what sort of printers they are using.

There is a little note in there from David R. Spencer the President of Data
Recording Systems (a 1 & 1/2 yr old firm). He states that he plans to
annoce in Aprint a 600-dot/in laser printer. Elsewhere in the article
they state that they expect to see several 600-800 dot laser printers
that rival commecial typesetting to be announced in the near future.
