Summary: 

Carey Wilson and Chris Chelios are good candidates for the award, but
don't forget Pat Lafontaine (also technically a rookie), who's second
among rookie scorers.  Also, now that Melanson's gone, we can see whether
Kelly Hrudey's as good as they've been saying he is (I think he's also
technically a rookie).  Look out for a few other rookie goalies, too;
Gosselin, Eliot, Behrend and Mason.  I have a feeling, though, that since
Barasso won the award last year, they're unlikely to give it to another
goalie again this year unless he's unquestionably the best goalie in the 
league.
