Of course all we can do is speculate about who is the best, and it will
always be that way until we get a playoff system.

Some people might be interested to hear the comments of the coaches of
the only two common opponents of BYU and Oklahoma; Pitt and Baylor.

Pitt coach Foge Fazio said, "BYU and Oklahoma are the best two teams I've
seen.  I would have to rank them 1 and 1-A."

Fazio is a voter on the UPI Poll and ranks BYU 1, and OU 2.

Baylor coach Grand Teaff said, "Against Oklahoma we felt that we could
win it if we just got our offense moving.  Against BYU we just wanted to
get it over with and get out of there."
