Let's not be naive!  When you feel weaker, it's because the Wraith has
just sucked a skill level from you.  Assuming that you get demoted _only_
once, killing the Wraith will usually promote you back.  You lose 1d10
and gain 1d10, which may leave you better or worse off than you were
before.
