    I think I have figured out where Version x.x (mtesq was here) comes from.
First of all, when you go into wizard mode, many rogues say something like:
"You suddenly feel as smart as Ken Arnold in dungeon #123456789"
...and, of course, Ken Arnold is the original author of rogue.  However,
later versions were also developed with Michael Toy and Glenn Wichman,
and the "mtesq" could be M. T. esq. (Michael Toy, Esquire).  Do I win a prize?
