I had a similar problem with furnace fan noise. The solution is to reduce
the speed of the air circulating fan. Most furnace fans have a multi-speed
capability. The desired speed is usually selected according to the way
it is wired. Mine has a terminal strip that allows connecting the AC to any
of several windings or combination of windings. The object is to be able
to move sufficient air for heat transfer while minimizing the noise.
