C.S. Dept., St. John's Lines: 23 Keywords: sendmail, queueing, aliaases Summary: Sendmail returns queued mail to a "alias". [Sendmail, my favorite bug] Sendmail returns mail with a "SYSERR" when mail is sent to an alias in the /usr/lib/aliases file and the mail gets queued. The following is what gets logged in the /usr/lib/mqueue/syslog: > Dec 6 22:11:56 localhost: 21598 sendmail: AA21300: SYSERR: qfAA21300: line 6: readqf(AA21300): bad line "" The best way to duplicated the problem is to change the load average threshold for queueing (default is 8) to 0. This is best done by placing "Ox0" in the "~/.mailcf". Then send mail to your favorite alias (rogue). This works for all the aliases I have tried here at garfield. The sendmail running here is basically the same one that came off the distribution tapes, minus the alias DBM option (to prevent users from intersepting mail to certain aliases (this is another story in itself)). Can anyone else reproduce this problem? Has anyone got a fix other than the obvious (placing "Ox2147483647" in the system config file to disable queueing)?
