Motherhood is the second oldest profession /Erma Brombeck/. Surely
Motherhood is the highest "calling" since even overachievers have
mothers. If the question is how much time does a GOOD mother spend
parenting, that's a very individual question. It depends on individual
skills, talents, efficiency, and ability to communicate -- not to mention
the ages of the children, how many, how far apart.

While being a mother may come "naturally", mothering can be a matter of
degree. What TRAINING should a person have to be a GOOD mother?
Teachers, for example, have training that help them be good mothers.
