Repayment 12/10/84

How do I repay the gift that has no price
a door was shut, never to be opened,
		or so I thought
A gentle touch did what all my pounding didn't
the door fell, crumbling into dust
		as I stood amazed withing
The dream of a thousand lifetimes shimmered
in the doorway of my prison cell
I knew not what to do
A form did bid me to follow
Through this doorway was I to move
		To go, yes I will
The light of the day was upon my face
behind, the doorway and cell disappeared
I am free, as long as I wish
Looking to the one who had released me
The form was entering its own doorway
		I had given no payment

May my spirit touch you
