Mostly my calculations don't require absolute precision and it's nice to be able to visualize the wind and other calculations rather than punching little buttons while flying along. Mostly though, I think it's because I bought a friends spare whiz wheel when I was in pre-private groundschool and never bothered to shell out any more money on a new one. -Ron
