OK, OK, I know light cream does not equal half and half, but the original
concern was FINDING the proper kind of cream.  Since I have not been able to
find light or heavy cream here in Colorado without going to the closest
dairy (25 miles away), I use half and half when the recipe calls for
cream or light cream, and I use whipping cream when it calls for heavy
cream.  Sometimes you have to make do.  Besides, my solution to this
problem has lower cholesterol and calories, even though at this point I
doubt it matters much!!
