You get both sides of the conversation if you "TAP" into a
line. All you need to do is change the answer/orginate switch.
this will work best with non-direct connect modems. It should
also work upto 2400 baud with a good tape deck, and will 
work upto 1200 baud with a cheap portable tape deck.
