Last Monday the San Francisco Chronicle published the results of
its Sourdough Tasting Contest. The undisputed winner was Boudin
Sourdough French.

Oddly, you can order Boudin sourdough frenh bread by mail. When
my chorus was singing at their Fisherman's wharf bakery (it's a LONG
story) I picked up an order form. There is a long list of states and how
much to pay that I won't type in; I won't reproduce the entire form either
lest this be construed as advertising.

You can get either a box of six one pound loaves, or the "famous 49er
Gift Assortment" for 15-20 or 21-26 dollars, depending on how far they have to
ship it.

Apparently it is USA only -- something about food export laws. I hope I
get the distribution of this note right.

Anyway, you can write to

	Fisherman's Wharf bakery
	156 Jefferson Street
	San Francisco, CA 94133

for complete details. Bread is shipped air freight once a week.

I do not work for or own stock in any bakery at all.
