Message-ID: <122@iris.UUCP> Date: Tue, 4-Dec-84 16:38:37 EST Article-I.D.: iris.122 Posted: Tue Dec 4 16:38:37 1984 Date-Received: Fri, 7-Dec-84 01:41:29 EST Organization: IRIS, Brown University Lines: 11 We have a SUN workstation network with 1.2 gigabytes of disk storage that are backed up (painfully) using the standard 1/2" 25 IPS tape drive. We would like to trade up to something like a Kennedy 9400 (45 IPS 6250 BPI). Does anyone have any experience with attaching such a beast to the standard TapeMaster controller and having it work transparently to the software? Other suggestions for faster backup are also welcome. Please reply by MAIL and I will summarize. Thank you. ....................................................................
