BYU by a bundle. If the WAC hadn't signed a contract with the Holiday Bowl to send their champion, maybe BYU could play in the Orange Bowl against #2 Oklahoma. Then it really would be for the National Championship. My guess is that when OU beats Washington the writers and/or coaches will see the light, and vote them Number 1, no matter what BYU does against Michigan. As far as I can tell BYU has not played any of the present Top 20 teams. Oklahoma has: Tied (at the time) #1: Texas Beat (at the time) #1: Nebraska Beat (at the time) #2: Oklahoma State (our three biggest rivals, two on the road) Will beat present #3: Washington !ctvax!uokvax!cdelliot
