I question the second part. I meant "MORE PRODUCTIVE land" rather than "MORE (productive) LAND". Sorry for the confusion. The gist of this that certain areas of the world are more blessed in their climate for food cultivation than others, and this reasoning can be used to justify the exporting of grain from those countries to the less blessed ones. Of course, I am entirely opposed to Southern California watering IT'S desert with Northern California's water. -- Gordon A.
