I noted with interest the comments about the proposed reorganization of
Simtel20 with libraries and no more Hex files. I have the following
comments. A: There are no multics utilities to parallel the nice
TOPS-20 Library,
unsqueeze, type , etc for the cpm files (that I know of). B: How do
you transfer COM files to Multics. C: How do you transfer COM files
from Multics if all you have is Kermit
support and you like Modem7 - Unfortunetely I cannot edit the
Kermit souce for my little apple disks. Kermit is too big
for 114k. (Anyone that would like to configure Kermit for a SSC in
slot 2 I would send them a disk and my gratitude) D: What do you do
without library utilities on Multics and libraries
   bigger than your disk?

Life seems to be simpler on TOPS-20 than Multics (at least until Kermit
is a bit more common and more Multics utilities are available) Allan
