Could be there's something fundamentally wrong with the billions-of-years-old earth theory. > "...and although i've never actually experienced this in my > life, i'm going to pull some obscure pseudo-religious belief > out of my ass and tell you to apply it to the situation, and > if you don't, you're going to fry in hell for eternity..." > think about it... doesn't that sound like a JS letter? No, particularly the last part. I'm not your typical fire-and-brimstone fundamentalist. Most of my articles try to relate to the application of Christianity to this life, since that's where we are now. > personally, i'm getting sick of his articles. Haven't you an "n" key? > JS is obviously one of those yo-yo's who will believe anything. he believes > in speaking in tongues, he believes couples living together "increase their > chance of having sex the first time", he believes in this stupid religious > thing and another, he believes i will live forever in hell, because his > infinitely merciful god is going to send me there. etc. etc. Etc. > ETC!! if he believes all of these stupid things, why, oh why!!! can't > we get him to believe he should get off the net!!... the man is an imbecile. I dislike being misquoted...where did you get the idea that I said that living together increases the chances of having sex *the first time*? Also, you don't know how cynical I actually am, and what a tough time I have believing anything (actually you should know, since you've read my net.singles articles, what a tough time I have trusting people; your flaming goes beyond the bounds of accuracy); but when something actually occurs and appears to work for some good in me (e.g. speaking in tongues), it makes sense to believe it. Furthermore, if you had read some of my stuff in net.religion, you would have observed that I am the one who has more than once pointed out that you go to hell by your own choice. Finally, your logic defeats itself. According to you, it would be intelligent for me to get off the net, but I am an imbecile; so how could I possibly understand such an intelligent idea? (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FIRST HALF OF THE PRECEDING SENTENCE IS RON VAUGHN'S OPINION, NOT UNSHAKABLE TRUTH, AND THUS SHOULD NOT BE QUOTED OUT OF CONTEXT.) -- -- Jeff Sargent {decvax|harpo|ihnp4|inuxc|ucbvax}!pur-ee!pucc-h:aeq Clearing /tmp
