From what I understand, the blurred images only  occur if the
operation is done incorrectly. The incisions on the eye are made
around a circle around the center of focus of your eye. This center
of focus is not necessarily the center of your eye. If the incisions
are not made 3mm around this point, the problem with light occurs.

Anyhow, I'll be able to answer this one better later in the week, as
I plan to have one eye done this week.
