For the individual who asked about a cookbook for wild game, and any others
of you who might be interested, I can recommend a low-cost choice:

CY LITTLEBEE'S GUIDE TO COOKING FISH AND GAME, by Werner Nagel, softbound,
142 pages, only $1.50 postpaid! (Missouri residents add 8 cents tax.)

Order from:

Outdoor Library
Missouri Department of Conservation
PO Box 180
Jefferson City, MO 65102

(This source also has various "field guide" type books, trail guides, and
suchlike publications, all rather low-priced.)

I have seen this book, though I don't own it. I have read several
recommendations of it by outdoor writers in newspapers and magazines.

A free source of some wildlife recipes is the Marlin gun catalog; they
intersperse a number of recipes amongst the listings and pictures of their
products. Check your local sporting goods dealers for the last couple of
years' catalogs.

Happy eating!
