You want flames? You'll get them!! How can ANYONE in their right mind prefer Elway over Marino? FYI, Marino just tied an 22-year NFL record for QBs by throwing for 36 TDs in one season, prev- iously held by Y.A. Tittle & George Blanda. He is sure to break it Sunday against the Raiders, and he has 2 more games after that to add to the record. He is the premier quarterback in the league this year, and possibly having one of the best seasons of all-time!! Stats are just one way of proving the total dominance of Marino over Elway. Both are 2nd year QBs, but the similarities end there. In the weekly NFL QB rankings, Marino is FAR ahead in first and I don't think Elway has made it into the top half. Elway has been VERY inconsistent. I would also say that Denver's offense is ranked about 20th (of 26!) in the league and the Dolphins are #1. About half of Denver's wins this year were either totally or partially because of their defense scoring points for them. Their offense stinks! Prediction time: Denver will be a wild-card team (after losing to the Seahawks again in the last regular season game) and then proceed to get blown away in the wild card game (by either the Raiders or Patriots, probably). There is no way an offense like Denvers' can carry them far. And of course the Super Bowl will be won by the best team: Miami Dolphins. ----- Bruce Kovalsky ..sdcrdcf!trwrb!trwspp!spp2!kovalsky kovalsky@spp2.UUCP
