Does anyone out there have experience with the sound
quality of VHS Hi Fi? I am please generally with the picture quality
of my stereo VHS VCR, but the sound is poor. I have not hooked it through
my old stereo because the stereo is inadequate,
but I think that if I am to make
the investment in a new receiver/pre-amp/amp/speakers
primarily for video tape playback I might as well try to get
the best sight and sound for my $$. Would I be better off in the
long run with an expensive stereo and keep the VCR? How much
better is the movie sound when pumped through a stereo? What sort of stereo
set-up should I use - integrated system, components, etc. Is there
anything special about the stereo that will make it a (better/worse) one
for VCR playback? Recommendations? Response by mail please.
