1) "Girls in your office"?  There are child-labor laws, you know.

2)  If you have just gone ahead without knowing how your co-workers felt, it
would have been okay.  But this way, you'll antagonize them (not a good idea)
and make it look like you're trying to butter up the boss.  How about something
for everyone--a large box of candy to be shared among everyone in the office or
some such.

If you give your co-workers gifts also, that should make it clear that you just
like to give gifts, and might be another alternative.
