The problem in our community is that there is both a small religious school
run by our synagogue and a small day school and children from the synagogue go
to both. There are about 25 kids in the hebrew school and about 10 kids from
the shul who go to the day school. Some of the members of the shul that are
involved in the day school feel that the fact the shul subsidizes the hebrew
school (tuition only pays for about half the cost) and does not contribute
anything to the struggling day school is unfair. Any comments?
