I used to subscribe to net.jokes as I enjoy reading a good joke now and 
then.  About six months ago I got fed up with the non-joke traffic and 
quit (it is net.jokes, right?).  This week, I resubscribed again for two 
days to see if anything had improved.  Hardly.  Each day, we had about 
45 net.jokes articles come into our site.  Out of 90 messages there was 
one true, bonifide joke the first day, and two the second day.  The rest 
were discussions, comments, discussions about emacs, etc.  I just don't 
have the time to weed through all the bullsh*t to try and find one or 
two good jokes each day.
