I'm pretty sure that there is a profiler for VMS available from
DECUS - it's quite good, and uses the DEBUG traceback records
to give you module-name, routine and line-number.

Actually, I'm not certain that this package was ever submitted to
DECUS, but we did have it in-house.  Also, there was a very strong
rumor that VMS V4 would have profiling tools available also.  Get
someone who's going to DECUS to ask the people wearing DEC badges
about this....
