I am interested in all the information I can obtain concerning VAX 11/785 particularly as it compares to the 780. We are an OEM providing turnkey systems to Universities and Colleges for Administrative and Academic needs. We have a potential client that is considering using a VAX 780 or 785. Our principle questions revolve around the following: - the response time - system load - type of applications being utilized - version of UNIX (preferrably 4.2) - number of users - problems, if any, installing 4.2 - how does the cache memory help - price/performance I would appreciate any and all help received on these or other issues. Please respond via UUCP. As always, Thanks in advance, Dale Anglin CARS Information Systems Corp (formerly a division of Management Decisions-mddc) 7209 Dixie Highway Fairfield, Ohio 45014 (513)874-6464 ...{ucbvax,decvax,ihnp4,mhuxi}!cbosgd!mddc!dale (uucp)
