Lines: 14 As for the hunters returning with their kill. In the State of Pennsylvania, over 200,000 deer are killed by vehicles every year. Despite this carnage, the deer population is growing in many areas at an alarming rate. Did you ever see a herd, yes herd, of deer (over 100 deer in the herd) do a job on an apple orchard? I have. The farmer was out amoung them making noise and actually hitting the deer with a stick. It didn't do any good as the deer stripped all of the lower branches off the trees. I, for one, still consider deer as a source of protein and a renwable resource. You can take all of that Bambi crap and dream on. I would rather roast the little sucker. T. C. Wheeler
