Message-ID: <583@houxa.UUCP> Date: Wed, 12-Dec-84 11:24:17 EST Article-I.D.: houxa.583 Posted: Wed Dec 12 11:24:17 1984 Date-Received: Thu, 13-Dec-84 02:27:50 EST Organization: AT&T Bell Labs, Holmdel NJ Lines: 15 The debate over BYU versus OU seems to me to missing a few points: what about Florida or Boston College or SMU or ...? Certainly, if BYU loses then Florida will be the #1 team, owing to a superior record and a difficult schedule. (yes, I know they "cheated", but that is not really relevant in determining whether or not they have the best team this year). Did OU play a tougher schedule than Florida? Is their record better? I am not a Florida fan, so I don't know, but I would think many of the same things that have OU fans screaming about BYU's ranking would have Florida fans screaming about OU's ranking. I'm not saying Oklahoma didn't have a great year: they did. So did many other teams, including BYU.
