I don't have to imagine it, Wayne!  It has happened!  And I don't even
have to go back to the Holocost to find examples.  What about the
Morley Safer story on burning women in India or the ongoing genocide
in Cambodia and Afghanistan?  All covered on this net in recent
postings.  etc, etc, etc.  ***FLAME ON*** AND I BITTERLY RESENT YOUR
INDEFENSIBLE INSINUATION THAT MY MORALS ARE SUSPECT BECAUSE I PROTEST
AGAINST OVERT EXPRESSIONS OF INHUMANITY AND BRUTALITY. ***FLAME OFF***

On a calmer note, having seen human beings taking actions I
thought were completely outside all bounds, I have become quite
willing to take the time to check out any possible recurrance that
affects my living space.  I'm not sure, but I think someone once said,
"Eternal viligance is the price of liberty." (:-)
