A friend and I will be purchasing modems for our Atari 800s in the near future and could use some advise from those of you knowledgable on the products available. Here are is what I have heard or read about the Atari modem:
Organization: John Fluke Mfg. Co., Everett, WA
Lines: 17

	Atari 1030 -
		direct connect
		300 Baud transfer rate
		can store 2 telephone numbers
Telelink 2 software included in modem
you can connect and read billboards and print material,
but cannot up or down load information to disk or cassette
	Price ~$69.00

Please correct or add to the information above. We are also looking for alternative to the Atari if the price is reasonable, (under $100.). An exception would be if the modem software could access a disk drive or cassette.
