Hello
Re: Karl asked, "how do you practie?"
When I get home at about 5:20 PM, I do scales over 7 1/2 octaves, then
arpeggii over 7 1/2 octaves (on piano), accenting every 3, or 4, changhing,
loudly, softly, staccato, legato, then trills, then thirds, and then some
Isodor Phillip very slowly for arm and control. My guide is Piano Technique
by Lillie Philipp. Then , practice. Now I am memorizing a little piece,
Modern Love Waltz, by Phillip Glass. Also practicing Sports and Divertisements
by Satie. My own music will be coming in soon, again. Looking at the score
would help, but I don't budget time for it. Last night I documented
Ciccolini's tempi on the Satie for guidance, off the record with a metronome.
