We have been very happy with the Smarterm/PC products from Persoft, here in Madison WI. We use both the VT100 (to talk to VMS and UNIX) and the Dasher 400 (to talk to AOS/VS) versions. We use them for full screen editing (vi, EDT, emacs, SED) and file transfer between hosts in text mode. Both versions can support 132-column screens and error-free and binary transfer, and there is a VT125 version, but I have not used these features/products. I recommend them without reservation. We have no connection with Persoft except as customers. Steve Arnold
