To recap: I own a PC with a color graphics card interfaced to a composite video monitor (Amdek 300A). In black and white mode every thing looks ok. When the software switches to 'color' mode the image looks like SH__!. Text is un-readable, You can't see graphic images from the back ground. I bought a little card from Jade computer that cost $89. Its called The Composite Video Enhancer. It fits in any slot in a PC, XT or portable and interfaces with any color graphics card (IBM, Hercules, Paradise, Plantronics, etc.). As I stated before this little card improved my video display on my monitor by 1000%. Every color is converted to a shade of gray. The display really looks good. By buying this card I don't need to buy an RGB monitor. In reply to some mail. I know the Zenith, AT&T and others have gray shading in their system. I know some new graphic cards offer gray shading. I spent a lot of money on my PC. I'm not going to throw it out and spend $2500 on another computer just to get gray shading. I spent close to $250 for my color card (IBM). I'm not going to throw it out and buy an Everex just to get GRAY shades. Some of these other cards cost over $400. Its more cost effective for me to spend $89 and correct a problem that drives me crazy! As I said before contact Jade Computer Products at 213-973-7707 and ask for Blake Vitale. He'll sell you one just like the one he sold me!
