I have used single sided single dinisity el cheapo diskettes (currently $.89) for years. I always run them through Fast CHECKDISK (7 minutes) before using them. I get about 1 failure in 20. I get no better results with expensive diskettes. Joel Swank Software Center Tools Support 50-487 Tektronix Beaverton OR 97077
