Yes, I did see the running quarter mile part.  It still get 180+ mph.
Now, a normal big-block won't  do that, I'm sure you'll agree.  However,
if you're running with nitro, then I can understand it and believe it.
Still, though, to put in a plug for my favorite machine, a Porsche Turbo
will do 185 (refer here to Road & Track magazine, recent issue,
concerning fastest cars in the world), and is still street legal.  I
concede though, that a Chevy big block, running nitro (and possibly
without, but that you would have to prove) could beat a Posche off the
line.  Try to run any American cars through a slalom, or double 'S'
curves though, and see what you get.  Of course there are exceptions
even to this, but I won't go into a critique on American sports cars, or
the lack of them.  By the way, do you race, or just enjoy driving?
