(planes, boats, cars, helicopters, etc) I think it would be nice if we could get our cast of characters established initially. Later, we can move on to kit/engine/radio reviews, flying experiences, club activities, etc. To get the ball rolling, here's a profile of myself. I've tried to include things I thought I'd be interested in learning about other people in the hobby. Name: Scott Wiesner Home: Boulder, Colorado Age: 22 Years in RC: A tougher one to answer. During junior high, I was a member of the Mid Missouri RC Association. I flew for about a year and a half, but when my family moved, I never got involved in the local activity. Having just recently graduated from college, I thought I'd get back into the hobby to fill up my spare time. I spent a month deciding what to get, a month building, and soloed at the end of August during my 8th flight. I guess it's like riding a bike. My instructer never had to take the transmitter away from me. Current equiptment: At the moment, I'm still flying the plane I re-learned on. I've got a Futaba FG7-K FM radio, Great Planes Trainer 40, with a K&B .40. I'm working on a Windfree sailplane, a New Era 40, and have a Cap 21 in the closet for a winter project. Flying field description: We (the Boulder Aeromodeling Society) have 2 paved runways, 30x350 (NS) and 30x300(EW). Prevailing winds are out of the South. -- Scott Wiesner {allegra, ucbvax, cornell}!nbires!scott
