There is another option. I grew up as an 'Air Force Brat', in an environment where noone lived in the state of their legal residence. One thing that I learned is that there is a little known federal law requiring voter places (technical term, that) to allow anyone who is living away from their legal residence to vote locally for national offices (ie: president). Let me summarize this. You can go to ANY voting place, and vote for president, if you do not live in your state of residence. You have to call and arrange this ahead of time. I have done this in Massachusetts (while a student). HOWEVER: Trying to convince some places of this is not easy. I do not know the statute number of the law, and many people (in high places) have not heard about it. I tried to do the same thing in California, and got a bunch of 'Duh, I never heard about that, talk to my manager'. By the time I realized that they weren't going to let me do it, it was too late to get the absentee form from Vermont (so I lost my chance to vote for Anderson, sigh!). Maybe someone on the net can help on the statute reference ... Alien
