Hi,fellow ham (or other) r/c nuts.

Currently I am using an Airtronics XL6-FM system. (TX,RX & servos)
What I'd like to know is if anyone has mixed and matched other manufacturers
equipment. E.G., Airtronics with Futaba or Kraft or Ace or ??? What I'd
like to do is have separate reciever/battery systems in each model to avoid
pulling things apart too many times.

Airtronics separate receivers seem to be unavailable right now, but Futaba
is in ample supply. Since most of the modern systems use the Signetics
encoder/decoder chips I thought I might get a simple 2 channel receiver and
use it with the 6 channel transmitter (Thus saving lots-a-bux).

ps: My source for most R/C stuff is Sheldons in San Jose, CA. They seem
to have the largest selection of hardware and software (planes Hi.Hi)
