Ahhh Yup, it sounds like you need the old heads aligned.  The very same thing
happened to my Apple ][+ and its drives.  You should really have the drives
looked at ASAP, my experience was that I had a great deal of difficulty reading
the disks I have written with the 'flakey' drives after they were fixed...
