Site "gatech", the ICS Vax 780, has been down a number of times
over the last 3 weeks due to undiagnosed problems. We were down
over the weekend due to cpu power supply failure, and it is believed
that the power supply was responsible for our up-and-down behavior
over the past few weeks.

The power supply has been repaired and we hope our erratic behavior has
been fixed (although no such claim can be made for the users of the
machine). We don't believe that any mail or news has been lost as
result of this problem, but some items have been delayed considerably.
In particular, mail or news to or from "gatech", "gitpyr", "stratus",
"nimbus", "cirrus", "msdc", "itm", "fba", "dcc1", "dcc2", "gacsr",
"emory", and "ganehd" may have been effected. We also had a few items
in our queue for routing to "akgua", "seismo", "ihnp4", "ut-sally" and
"astrovax".

If you routed mail through "gatech" in the last week, please allow
an extra day or so for delivery. If you get no response within the
next few days, it might be wise to resend your mail.
