Sure, anybody can copy the code, but the first time they try and post something they advertise their theft to the world and the news software author. This is promptly followed up by a call to the management of the offending company demanding payment. 99% of all companies will pay quickly if the amount is under $500 and the thief will be in position for a strong reprimand and possible loss of employment if they aren't valuable to the company. Now with private computers and some schools, this is harder, but there are ways to track this down, too.
