He wrote the original teleplay, which was rewritten a great deal, but even that doesn't matter. The comments above refer to the work of the DIRECTOR and the actors. By this time in the filming of the episode, Ellison had already stopped working with them in disgust at what they did to his story. It is interesting to read Ellison's original teleplay, by the way.
