Does anyone out there know how to interface a VIC-1525 printer to the
Macintosh? This is a dot matrix printer from commodore and it uses a
non-standard serial type interface. It connects to a 6522 and has
these signals:
     pin 1 serial srq in
     pin 2 ground
pin 3 serial atn in (host signals)
     pin 4 serial clk out/
     pin 5 serial data out/
     pin 6 reset/

Since I already have this printer and $500 is a bit steep for an
imagewriter, I will be eternally grateful if anyone can help. I assume
that I may need a software driver once I get this figured out. To my
knowledge the only commercial interface is FROM the CBM host TO an
imagewriter.
