Regarding various questions about "Hill Street Blues":

Henry Goldblum was involved in a anti-capital punishment group. That
is why we saw him at the church where the priest was praying that
Celestine (the convicted and executed murderer of a nun) be forigiven
for his sins. The priest also asked forgiveness for the "killers"
(prosecutors, judge, jury, and executioners) of Celestine as well.
Henry's dilemma is that he has just confronted the killer instinct in
himself when he arrested his ex-wife's rapist. Which leads us into
another question asked on the net regarding J.D.'s sexual exploits.
J.D. sat down at a bar next to a woman who was intent on watching a TV
that was showing the news report of Celestine's execution. J.D., the
sly devil that he is, saw an opportunity to approach the woman. He
showed the woman a copy of a newspaper ad condemning the execution of
Celestine. Various people had signed the ad including (you guessed
it) Henry Goldblum. J.D. told the woman, "See that's me," indicating
Henry's name, "Henry Goldblum. Can I buy you a drink?" Unfortunately
the woman fell for it and J.D. and her spent the night together. The
woman found out and that's why we see her in the 10/18 episode
confronting J.D.
