Could some of you mail or post the latest "estimates" of Fritz
Mondale's views on the Shuttle, the Space Staion, unmanned probes,
etc. etc.? The last I heard, he was pretty much down on space
as a waste of money (yes, I know
NASA's annula budget would run the
Federal welfare system for almost one week,
but I'm not running for prez so I can say that).
Then I heard someone accusing Mondale of switching his
position on the Shuttle, meaning, I presume,
that he decided to go along with our rip:roaring success
in the one area where the Japanese aren't feeding us dust.
Well, good for you, Fritz. But how about the Station, missile
defenses, etc.? I missed the debate tonite
and wonder if any panelist brought up space issues.
No way can I support a candidate who refuses to "go for it"

in spadce. Better to vote for Reagan if need be. so what is the "need"
appearing to be these days?
Thanks, mike k
