Yes, the software does exist, its called MacTerminal, and you can easily
transfer stuff to and from a unixc Machine with the Macput and MacGet programs
written by Dave Johnson At Brown U.

Macterminal is available almost everywhere by now, and I can send you 
Macput/MacGet if you would like them...
