This item lifted from the Chronicle of Higher Education, 7 November
1984, in typical Usenet fashion (i.e., no permission obtained):

"A 20-year-old sophomore at the U. S. Air Force Academy has
resigned after admitting to academy investigators that she had en-
gaged in lesbian practices. Six other enlisted personnel at the academy,
five women and one man, have also been investigated for alleged homosexual
activities in recent months. The charges against two have been dropped,
and two have been discharged.

"Air force regulations state that homosexuality is incompatable
with military service."

Sounds like a witch-hunt to me.....
