For the Rev. Jackson show, I think that the network was trying to aviod anythingthat even smacked of partisanship (but how could you avoid that?).  That show
(10/20/84) had the best ratings and the most phone calls of any show in the
last year.  I liked the Jean Kirkpatrick sketch and the Billy Idol parody.

Billy Crystal does a great Sammy Davis, Jr., and whenever he appears as
Fernando, I immediately start rolling on the floor.
