Running another new /unix, with several minor fixes. A bug in the
sticky-directory code has been fixed, so root is now exempt from it.
The f_count field of the file structure within the kernel has been
enlarged from a char to a short; char is too short when an overflow
can (does) crash the system. A bug in lseek(2) which caused infinite
EOFs on the terminal on a negative seek has been fixed. And the code
which performs a core dump has been adjusted so that it drops the uid
and gid back to the real uid and gid before attempting the dump; this
clears up some possible security problems in connection with core dumps
from setuid/setgid programs.
