Many companies are reducing prices on computers, and forecasters expect this trend to continue. A good example of this is the TRS-80, Models 4 and 4P. This machine was listed in the 1984 catalog at $1799.00. It came out in the 1985 catalog at $1299.00. Recently, there was a sale on these units for $999.00. Some franchise stores were selling the computers for even less... This is a 64K Z80A machine with 2 184K drives and a built-in monitor. It comes complete with a communications package/ terminal emulator, TRSDOS 6.1 (should be 6.2, as that was just released), and RAMDisk. I was lucky enough to get one at the sale price, but even at that, I have a feeling that the regular price will go down even below what I paid during the sale. decvax!cca!heiser Bill Heiser
