	To me it is obvious why "girl" is used so often, despite the
diminutive (sp??) connotations: it is the closest equivalent to "guy"
that the english language seems to have.  Woman seems so formal...

	...however, I use "woman" anyway, since so many women truly
are offended by "girl."
