Being a Lutheran, I can't resist quoting brother Martin, in the context of some discussion over what precise actions were or were not sinful: "Sin boldly! But believe and rejoice in Christ more boldly still!" In a more serious vein: Many Christians believe that there is little difference (from a "sin" point of view) between performing a sinful action and *desiring* to perform a sinful action.
