It has 6 inputs and 3 outputs. The outputs are all amplified and the switching is done electronically (ie push a button to select the input, then push another button to select the output, with an LED matrix to show the current connections). (I used to have a RS non-amplified switcher, which had a tendency to create interference between the outputs.) Any input can be connected to any output and you can even connect multiple inputs to one output (although this does not produce any useful results). I have been very happy with the performance of this unit. However, Recoton seems to have a high infant mortality rate -- I had to exchange the first unit after one day of use and I have had similar experiences with other Recoton equipment.
