More specifically, after being in QSO for several minutes the transmitter tends to want to stay keyed for 0.5 - 1.0 seconds after the PTT switch is released. What is really interesting about it is that it does this only when 'warm', and only after speaking into the microphone (external speaker/mic, too). Just keying and releasing the PTT switch won't make it happen. The demo FT-209RH at the local ham emporium does not have this problem. Anyway, my radio is currently at the Yaesu repair center in California where the problem hopefully will be resolved. As soon as I find out what the problem is, I'll post it to the net. Perhaps the phenomonon in the Icom is similar to the Yaesu's and may have a similar cause. 73's, Jim Gerke, KC5OA Infoswitch Corp. Richardson, TX (214) 644-0570 allegra!convex!infoswx!jim
