Quo usque tandem abutere patientia nostra?

Apparently there are some seeds of truth in the
posting attributed to Nimoy. Last weekend there
was a gathering of the William Shatner Fan Club
at which the attendees got to see and listen to
and question Bill. Although I did not go, I
talked to someone who did. She says that it is
true that Bill has not signed and that Paramount
is threatening to shelve the project. Bill says
that they are dickering over details of the
contract, which naturally he did not spell out.
Nimoy is involved in some aspect of the negotiations.
Paramount is making threats. Bill says, "Hey,
don't worry about it. No way is Paramount not
going to make this movie. They've already hired
people."

So, it is unfair to say that Bill is unwilling
to make another Star Trek movie. He has always
been enthusiastic about ST. (Nimoy has waffled.)
He is waiting out contract problems. He has
stated in another recent interview that he would
not make an ST movie without Nimoy in it.

So, encourage Paramount to pay them the price.
They can't do a Alley/Curtis switch with Bill
and Leonard.
