Le Alanrum, do I understand you correctly?  You mean you've never known
anyone like that before?

[Jeff, are you listening?]  Lots of people are like that.  Personal advice
like that is frequently VERY hard to follow; you tend to understand it in
an intellectual sort of way, but somehow it really doesn't take.  So the
recipient throws out even more intellectual argument in hopes of
understanding the advice 'better'.
