Co., Everett, WA Lines: 16 I'd like to add my two bits to this discussion of who gets what in a divorce. The answer is that both parties get the short end of the stick, there are no winners. In fact, both people are usually so hurt that they think the other is getting the best deal. This is a facet of human nature. My point is; when you hear a person bitching about how their ex-partner screwed them in the divorce, take it with a grain of salt. What they are really discussing is emotional pain.
