Yes! The best algortithm I have ever found for choosing SOs goes

If(he shows significant intrest in me) then 
    If(I enjoy being with him) then
         (spend lots of time with him)

After all, if someone is not interested in you, what the hell
else matters?  Not that you shouldn't have a go at stimulating
interest in someone.  Of course, one must remember to show
interest as well, and look for those using the same algorithm.
