The problem is that ALIAS names after the FIELDS keyword are not recognized by dBASE III. For example: ? JOIN WITHTO <.dbf-file> FOR FIELDS -> causes a syntax error. The question mark above, marks the location of the syntax error. The work around for this problem is as follows: 1. Issue the JOIN command without using the FIELDS keyword. 2. USE the resulting table 3. Issue a "COPY TO FIELDS " command to create the table with the needed fields. =============================================================================== By the way, does anyone know where I can get a copy of the program PCFILE3?
