Russian satellites can be heard about every 2 hours on 150.000 MHz,
using an ordinary scanner radio and a 19" piece of wire as an indoor
antenna.

I have monitored these satellites from here in Illinois, as have my
colleagues at our Murray Hill (NJ) laboratory.
