I'm writing this on an unfamilier editor, so please pardon the mistakes.
I've been very interested in this discussion. I am male and Chinese.
I was born in the U.S. (Madison, Wisconsin, of all places) and have
always been surrounded by non-orientals. Most of my friends are white,
and they all treat me as they would treat anyone else. My being Chinese
only comes up sometimes when we're joking around. When I date, I am
essentially race-blind, so I usually date white females. However,
frequently, I don't feel comfortable on dates because it seems that
others are hostile to the fact that a Chinese male is going out with
a white female. Is this a real situation? Are people hostile to
non-whites dating whites (Especially non-white males dating white
females.)? Do people consider Orientals, hispanics, etc., to be non-white
in male/female relationship (the case of black/white is the only one
that usually gets discussed... when it does get discussed at all)? Or
am I just paranoid?

Please make comments; I'd like to know how people feel.

P.S. I live in Southern California. I'd imagine that views on this
subject vary greatly from region to region.
