Actually, even the `gray market' cars like 512BB's, Countach's and
Porsche Turbos imported by individuals must be converted to conform to
U.S. safety and emission regulations.  When you import the car, you
must post a bond equal to (I think) the value of the car.  You get
this back when the car passes the tests.  If you don't get it
converted within (again, I think) 6 months, you'll have to send it out
of the U.S.

The conversions required include:
  - Emissions
  - Bumpers
  - Headlights
  - Side marker lights
  - Doors (must have reinforcing beams)
