Time for my Pavlovian response to your Pavlovian response to.....

Again another article blaming Reagan in entirety for the present:
   a) Budget
   b) Deficit
   c) please fill in any evil (or virtue) that you don't agree with

I think I have figured out how to cut down on the federal deficit, reduce
the number of laws created each year and eliminate most Democrats from
federal office. Since the Democratic supporters all agree that the
congress is not in the least culpable for the budget and that Reagan
is, it is obvious that they have conceeded the legislative powers of
the government to the presidency. Therefore, we can eliminate congress.
This will cut down on a lot of expenses. Not only can we stop all of
their paychecks (and those of all the aides, advisors, clerical,
janitorial etc. people who keep the legislature going), we can stop
all of their pork barrel politics, their junkets and "fact finding"
missions ("The facts, ma'am, are that we enjoy all those trips."),
their special crusade spending and cut down on the junk mail from
your representatives at election time (thereby reducing the load on
the Post Office). This would also serve to speed up the governmental
process by allowing Ronnie (or whoever is Pres.) to just make up laws
and appointments as desired with no delays for congressional hearings
and such tommyrot. As an added benefit, the cost of news papers should
drop radically as we no longer need all of those expensive reporters
running around the capitol--the administration will give us the news
they think we should hear. The total cost of government should drop
radically--a Democratic president wouldn't spend any of the money on
defense and a Republican wouldn't spend any on social services. We
can see then that it would be reduced by the amount spent on whichever
was eliminated! {As a special aside, there was an article a few weeks
back which put into numbers (from the CBO) how much was spent on each
of defense and social services--we will save twice as much with a
Republican in by this reasoning.} Since we will probably change
administrations regularly (still searching for what we want), it is
a good bet that any "executive decrees" passed by the previous
incumbent would be disavowed by the new one, thereby tremendously
reducing the number of laws and regulations that we have to live with.

Sounds good to you, lets implement it!

Now for the most important part of the article. This is for those
of you who have never read what I have to say about politics before:
