This is a very good sauce, easy to make, and much better
than anything I've tried that comes in a can. You can use
it for tamales, enchiladas or as a base for chili con carne.

This makes a little over a quart.

3 T chili powder
2-1/2 T paprika
1/2 t. cumin
1/4 t. ground cloves
1/2 t. MSG
1/2 t. garlic powder
1 t. salt
2 C water
1 can beef consume
4 T flour
olive oil to make a roux

Combine all ingredients except flour and oil and heat to
dissolve. Add roux of olive oil and flour and cook
several minutes, stirring constantly.
