I currently view the problem with the following breakdown - Graphical (Character) Representation code for information exchange (agreement) Control Domain and Exercising modal operation transfer requests function keys out-of-band signals Display cursor addressing end-of-line/screen condition presentation attributes Does anyone have any interesting thoughts or know of problems they are having in this area?? (or are header/TCPIP/msg people the right people for this sort of thing?) Specifically - what problems do you have with TELNET?? Are there deficiencies you would like to overcome with TELNET or RFC 731? Also, does anyone have access to the new VTP spec put out recently by the Terminal Repertoire Committee of ANSI (chaired by Henry Lowe -DEC)? Mike Little - LINKABIT@DCN5 -------
