David Dyer-Bennet's article really upset me, not because I disagree with him
(unfortunately, I understand all too well), but because It really bothers
me that people like Brunson are being taken as THE representatives of
christendom.

And now, a visit from our friendly neighborhood pillar of fire:

I suppose organized christianity has earned a lot the abuse it has taken,
what with the generally high level of hypocrisy we all see. I don't like
it any better than the next man.

All this condemning people to hell, though, is TOTALLY UNCHRISTIAN. Isn't
that exactly what Jesus warned against when he said "Judge not, lest ye
be judged?" Let God condemn people. Now I am not saying you shouldn't try
to convince them of their error; but be civil. There is absolutely no
reason why we should fill net.motss with rubbish about how "all the homos
are going to burn in Hell;" I'm sure they've already been told that, and
haranging them just serves to chase them away.
