It was on a flight from Atlanta to Providence, RI. The woman who had been sitting next to me got out in Hartford, so I moved across the aisle to sit next to a girl who I had overheard talking to the guy in front of her about Brown U. The three of us talked together for the rest of the flight, about 15 minutes, and then she and I exchanged addresses. I didn't think much about it since she was met by a bear-hugging boyfriend. But a few days later there was a note on my door that she had tried to find me. A few days after that, I nearly bowled her over opening my apartment door just as she was reaching to knock on it. I found out over dinner that she had tried a couple times to break up with her boyfriend, and was about to try again. Two weeks later she moved clothes and books over to my place, and we lived together for two years. We are still friends 10 years later... Rich Goldschmidt {ucbvax,ihnp4,decvax,allegra}!cbosgd!rbg
