They worked fine. Almost anyone who used them at my house managed to get a pretty good workout in 30 minutes of hard riding in high gear. The wind resistance of the spokes seems to be enough, although not accurate for what you would be feeling if the wheels were spinning that fast on the road. But then who rides for a half an hour at 35 MPH on the road anyway ? It helps to mount a big fan in front of you because there is no natural wind to cool you off. Bart Thielges
