Not only does the Corvus Constellation allow you to hook up an Apple
and an IBM to the same hard disk. It also allows you to connect other
computers like TRS-80's, NEC's, etc...
With the Corvus OmniNet local area network and a 20 meg Corvus drive,
you can actually link up to 64 workstations to that single hard disk,
complete with password security for each user. I've had the chance to
use such a system, and it seems great. You can 'partition' the disk, such
that software in DOS, CP/M, Pascal, and other formats can occupy various
parts of the disk at the same time, so you are not limited to just one
operating system. The only thing that puts me off is the price, which can
be pretty steep, depending on the configuration.
