It's possible my previous observation about XON/XOFF may have been due to
a random chance association - others have reported the same problem under
both settings. However, I do have one other possibility - when I looked
at the sources mentioned in merlin:~/ftp/pub/mac and compared them with those
I got from sumex:, the only difference in the code was a
sleep(1); immediately before the send_file(files.f_info,1); call in macput.c .
I have installed this in my version, and have tried it several times without
the bug occurring. Perhaps this will solve the problem.
