If you really want to learn C, the book to get is "Programming in C"
by Stephen Kochan, Hayden Book Company, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. It
covers the entire language, is chock full of good examples and,
best of all, is easy to read.

P.S. Although I haven't seen a copy yet, I understand that Kochan
also has an introductory UNIX text out, also published by Hayden.
You may want to check it out.
