Lines: 27 In the January '84 issue of MiniMicro Systems, in a special report on micro OS's they have listed in tabular form 65 different micro operating systems with "dots" indicating 21 different "features" that could be supported. Of all 65 can you guess which one supports all 21 features ? The features are support for networks, multiuser, multitasking, and multi processing, Memory overlays, swapping, segmentation, and Dynamic Relocation. Peripheral support consisting of hard disks, cartridge disks, modems, mag tape, paper tape, multibuffered I/O and spooling. File system support of sequential files, contigous files, random files, Isam files, multilevel directories and password security. When it came to price/availability S1 came up N/A but they gave a bingo card number, wonder if it will work 8 months later. Still, to keep the subject alive has anyone seen it yet? I know a couple of you got their glossy adverts. If this product existed it would be quite a force in the micro business, as it is I think it is quite a farce in the micro business.
