anyway, yes, her version was good, but

a:  I prefer C&W (There's too kinds of music--Country and Western)
b:  he has one of the more powerful voices around, which enhances the song.
c:  his style--several of the first lines are spoken, not sung
d:  I like his music in general
e:  I really don't know why I am bothering to say this. 
f:  if anybody, for some obscure reason posts another followup, it should
    probably go into net.muic. [which I don't read]
g:  This is ridiculous.  I'm calling it a night.
