Well, I'll give you that St. Elsewhere getting only best writing, and Tom
Selleck as best actor in a drama series (now, REALLY!) are matters of taste.

But John Ritter as best actor in a comedy series?

Which one?  It can't have been Three's Company  (the winner of the net's
coveted "Most Disgusting TV show of all time" award last August).  The four
or five times I've accidently watched 15 seconds of that show, he nominates
himself only for Best Whining Asshole Stereotype.

Why not Howie Mandel?  Ed Begley?  Ted Danson?
