I was pretty disappointed overall (that's why I'm here flaming, and not at home looking at the show). You're right, Pam (Victoria Principal) has sure changed (due to her exercise plan, no doubt) and it was rough on the eyes to see Bobby (Patrick Duffy) a wimp and Ray (Steve Kanaly) JR's pal. I didn't realize that Miss Ellie (Barbara Bel Geddes) objected to Bobby's marriage initially -- she always seemed to be the most reasonable of the Ewings. Final- ly, the character of Lucy (Charlene Tilton) has changed quite a lot over the years -- she was quite a slut back then but when's the last time you saw her do anything slutty on the show? However, it was *great* seeing Jock (Jim Davis) again! I didn't look at Dallas until the fall of 1980 (after Who Shot J.R.) but it was my impression that the show didn't get any attention until 1980. According to my sister, who watched Dallas from the start, the show didn't really get a lot of attention because it came on Saturday and Sunday nights, and was up against competition (which was since disappeared). When Dallas went to Friday nights (around 1980 I guess) it followed The Dukes of Hazzard which had become a very popular show which helped to maintain its ratings (plus the plot/storyline was much better after who shot J.R.). Dallas has also not suffered because it is followed by Falcon Crest. -- Hug me till you drug me, honey! Greg Skinner (gregbo) {allegra,cbosgd,harvard,ihnp4}!houxm!gregbo
