After reading an interview with him in Omni (don't flame me for reading Omni - I learned my lesson after subscribing to that rag!) I could not beleive how pompous and conceited he was. Most of his other books (Dosadi Experiment, Hellstrom's Hive and stuff like that) are pure babble. By some strange freak of nature though, (something like putting an infinite number of monkeys in front of as many typewriters) he came up with a masterpiece like Dune. After all his other Dune books I feel that he has totally lost track of the original eloquence of the story. And therefore if he thinks the movie is good, it's probably a bad omen for us all! -- I'm a man! I'm not a horse! Paul Bonneau {decvax|utzoo|watmath}!hcr!hcrvax
