For your information, the BBS in question was not a subscriber system (I say
"was" becuause its going subscriber on December 1st). That factual error aside
I dont blame you for not wanting to send money off to a defense fund you know
nothing about. When I posted what I think was the first message on the filing
of charges I made a point of leaving out any overt requests for money. I
dont know what message you are replying to so I cant comment on how bad it
was worded, but if the poster just forwarded the messages that have appeared
on Tom's board then I dont blame people in netland for being a bit uneasy
about sending money. Lynzie's message did sort of assume you were already
convinced Tom was clear and Telco was at fault (an assumption I agree with
fully, but then I live in LA, used the board, and have followed the case
from the start).
