Does anyone know of a tool that helps software developers generate unit
tests for their programs?  I am not thinking of a conventional debugger;
I am more interested in a program that analyzes the structure of a
program and helps the programmer build a set of test cases. A
debugger might then be used to run the tests.

I would also be interested in hearing about tools that allow a
programmer to keep track of the branches of code that have been executed
during testing. We once had a tool like this called "vcc", but it
seems to have disappeared.

Thanks for your help,

Bob Stewart
