Anybody in for a yellow firetruck debate?] This morning, I changed my shell prompt (Bourne Shell, of course) to ":-) ". Out of curiosity, I'd like to know whether anybody else has had the same idea, and what other "funny" (or tragic, or whatever) prompts people use. If your prompt is still "$" or "%", set your phantasy at work and try to find something more personal, and enter the great prompt contest! If I get enough mail, I'll post a summary of the most original ones soon. (Now I think of it, I should probably set PS2 to ":-( "...) -- Guido van Rossum, "Stamp Out BASIC" Committee, CWI, Amsterdam guido@mcvax.UUCP "Immorality may be something, but it does not take the place of virtue and three square meals a day."
