They are also extremely popular where I work (Hewlett-Packard in Ft. Collins). They seem to work well in powder and bumps, thus their popularity in Colorado and Utah. I have been skiing a pair of 1200's for 2 years now, and have been very happy. I think you'll like the 800's! There is a review of them in the premier issues of Ski and Skiing magazines.
