It shows up in Advanced Rogue versions. You don't say what version of rogue you are playing. (Just as a general note it is helpful to identify your version of rogue when you are asking for information on a bug or feature.) The potion of phasing is very valuable for attacking monsters from inside walls. They can't hit back but they hang around anyway getting hit. But you do have to be careful not to go wandering off the screen and you do have to take care to be back in a room or passage when you unphase. -- mhuxv!segs
