Lines: 22 Where is Jim Steranko? Still publishing "Prevue" magazine from his company Supergraphics. This magazine was fromerly "Mediascene" and before that "Comixscene". He also did the "Outland" adaptation a few years ago. Re: Captain Marvel: I once heard (from jim Shooter at a convention about 5 years ago, I think), that DC has in its files a letter from the '40's from Marvel (Timely at the time) saying it was all right for them (actually Fawcett, the publisher at the time) to use the name "Captain Marvel" despite Marvel/Timely publishing a comic book called "Marvel Comics" (where the Human Torch and Submariner hung out). Whether there was any money involved I don't know. Also, I was under the impression that, as part of the settlement out-of-court which ended the DC/Fawcett battle, that DC got the right to use the Fawcett characters, but has to pay a royalty when they do so.
