His statements clearly articulate a position that I've held for some time, and his well-chosen words say it more clearly than perhaps I ever have. I felt Ken's reply was a wonderful example of what Mike Huybensz was talking about in his article on "positive feedback"; I was hoping for a more reasoned response from "the other camp", and I was disappointed by Ken's avoidance of the issues; it seemed as though he preferred to answer Tim's arguments with platitudes and circularly-reasoned statements about the lowliness of man, and the elevation of god--and such positions have never been terribly convincing to me, at least. Wherever you are Tim, thank you. -- ---Rsk UUCP: { decvax, icalqa, ihnp4, inuxc, sequent, uiucdcs } !pur-ee!rsk { decwrl, hplabs, icase, psuvax1, siemens, ucbvax } !purdue!rsk "It'll definitely improve our reputation as a party school." --anonymous Purdue student, on TV-18 (local) news, Saturday, 10/6/84 after a Friday night of spontaneous rioting.
