Will Martin, you are in insatiable pack rat. We have enough clutter
without saving untimely information or dumping it on unsuspecting
lobbies and waiting rooms. Magazines are like net.news. I go through
a lot of oysters looking for the occasional pearl and I through the
shells by the wayside. There are some very good magazines that every
issue is worth keeping but a lot of useful information is obtained from
trades and industry publications (to which I include ad-rags like Byte)
which are generally not worth keeping but occasionally have items of
short or long term use. I'm finally divorcing myself of my collection
of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering. My greatest regret is
that the local paper recycling people no longer make it worth while
for the local fire departments and churchs to come around to take
newspapers and magazines off your hands.
