Yeah, that's pretty annoying in a flick, it's probably worse in a
play.  Here at MIT (you can just *imagine* what a problem that would
be here) the LSC (which shows movies) has a slide they show from
time to time.  It says:

		NERDS:	SILENCE YOUR WATCHES!

It (so far) has always been met with applause.
