Well, I guess I have to splain it again. Dunn says Reagan
is spending money left and right. Ok, I'll accept that.
is spending money s he get the money top spend? The only
oney the administration is allowed to spend is that which is
authorized by congress, right?? Now, who is in control of
Congress, the Dems, right? What group in our government
added billions to the budget for their own little pork
barrels? I'll give you onee hint, it starts with a D.
Damnit Dunn, Congress is the one to blame for most of
the spending, be it Republican or Democrat. The
administration only submits what it thinks it will
need to spend for the next budget term. Congress can
accept or reject any figure in that request. In fact,
the last time arround, Congress increased MOST of the
budget items over Reagans objections. They pulled the
old trick of tacking spending items on bills that they
knew Reagan could not veto because of their sensative
nature. I sure wish all of you bozos who keep mouthing
the Tip O'neil party line would bother to find out how
the government pays its bills. You might find out that
your favorite Congressman is nothing more than a big
bag of wind when he talks about spending.
