Excellent point!  Like many other gay people who simply didn't act
upon their desires as teenagers, I went through an "accelerated
adolescence" following college, complete with dating (no, romance
never died), nervousness and crushes.  Of course, it isn't REALLY
adolescence: no acne, no proms (the social kind), and no parents
waiting up for you! :-)

However, following this, I rapidly advanced into middle age, going
prematurely bald, and settling down with my lover.  Fine by me;
I wouldn't have it any other way.
