I disagree.  These products are very useful and will get you home in
an emergency.  Obviously, you shouldn't drive around on a tyre full
of foamy gunk for weeks on end - you should take the tyre to be repaired
properly (that means re-vulcanising, too) as soon as possible.  You
should use the product for the purpose for which it is designed (as
a temporary fix) and not complain about its innadequacy concerning
other uses (as a cheap, nasty and potentially dangerous way of repairing
a tyre permanently).
