That's funny, when I seem to remember an 11/70 running Unix(tm) that was lightning fast with 50 users, infinitely faster than PROCSY, and even faster than ihuxl (a 780) with one (1) user. Unix was a major reason I signed up for an interview with the Labs. If your vaxes running Unix are slower than the CDC, something's wrong. Go talk to George.
