It's slightly curved, and just lies on the floor. They perch on it and scratch, rather than reaching up -- seems to have the right texture for them. I was going to use the driftwood as decoration, but I'd rather have driftwood splinters in the basement than couch splinters in the living room... --Chris Robertson
