i just started reading net.singles this week, and until the kate hepburn
article, i hadn't felt motivated to post anything...
but here goes...
any of you who saw REDS w/ Warren Beatty et al, may remember a quote from
one of the interludes where they were interviewing a balding old famous
personage...
"There was just as much fucking going on then as there is now, only
now there's a perverse nature to it."

i think that that pretty well sums it up.... recent generations didn't invent
sex, and until the past 20 years, no one talked about it enough to wonder
when was too early to start

as for being mature enough to handle it... since when was age an iron-clad
requirement for maturity??? i've known 40-year-old 12-year-olds and
12-year-old 40-year-olds... some people are never really "mature" enough
to handle it, but everyone eventually tries sex ("everyone" meaning the vast
majority, of course)...

personally, i think that i was ready for it, but my partner was not...
but then that was her choice... as Lazarus Long said "No regrets."
it's irrevocable once it's done, so dont waste time on spilt milk...
