Look, this isn't a matter of some basic distinctions between being a person
and not being a person. Arguably, an embryo in its first days is not a person,
and a newborn baby is. Somewhere in between the change must take place. Exactly
where we define it as taking place is completely a matter of what seems 
"reasonable" to the greatest number of people. Therefore the only way
to determine where life really begins is to take a poll of everybody in the
US and see what the consenus is.
