Let us get History straight.  The Virgin Islands (US) have never,
I say NEVER belonged to the British.  They were purchased from
Denmark in 1914. 
There is NOT a 95% welfare problem.  There IS a problem
with people coming in from the rest of the area as it is VERY,
Very easy to come in.  Most of those who have fallen on hard times
are not Americans, but folks who have slipped in to try andd make
it to the mainland from there.  Island nativess, those born there,
do not have a welfare problem.  You must have talked to someone
who is not a native.
