This question is quite rhetorical, so put away your phasors... Perhaps this is an absurd question, but why DO we bother? Personally, I am so impressed with Bill Shatner's acting style. He seemed to quickly capture the essence of a starship captain (should those words be capitalized?). Then there's the exquisite make-up of Spock (no, not the blue eye-shadow). After he quit yelling after the first few episodes, his credibility grew with each trek. Let's hear some short blurbs on what the rest of youse guys think.
