Some time ago I posted a "series" problem my 13 year old son
had given me. It was:

2 3 10 12 13 20 21 22 . . . (What is the next number?)

I got a flock of correct answers (23, all the numbers that begin
with the letter "t") and I want to thank you all. Instead of
kicking myself in the head (difficult to do) for not having
figured it out, I retaliated by making up some series problems
for him. He did well, got all but two of them (in time). How
can you do?

In each case, what is the next number of the series, AND WHY!

31 28 31

4 9 7 6 10 3 8

15 20 20 6 6 19 19

7 8 5 5 3 4 4

2 4 6 8 12 14 18 20 24

1 5 10 25 50

1 4 1 5

1 1 1 2 3 5 11 26

Good puzzling, I will post answers later.
