By the way, the name "Robert" generally refers to a male. I thought this
is common knowledge.

I rarely listen to or read news. I find it a waste of time. I can do
without finding out about all the latest world problems. Its all a bunch
of . Its my choice. You make your own. Consequently I am
not surprised to find myself unaware of people or events. I spoke right up
saying I didn't know who Anne is. It doesn't embarrass me one bit.
And it certainly does not make one stupid.

Yes, I guess I must really be stupid. I fail to see how raising taxes will
have any effect on the deficit. I can understand how it may help to balance
the budget somewhat. But unless everyone goes broke paying taxes, the deficit
remains. Please try to explain to this ignorant person how the deficit will
be decreased by my increased tax bite.

> claimed that Reagan is not a liar (see comment on deficit, above).

I claimed it was improper to call someone a liar because he says he will do
something(not raise taxes) which you don't believe. We must wait and see.
Now, to object to a broken campaign promise, that is another matter which
I won't argue with(balanced budget).
