	I too have wondered why it is that one could not be friends 
  and be intimate at the same time.  Especially with this one woman 
  friend of mine.  She claims that 'it' would spoil our loooong time
  friend-type relationship.  That's the only answer that I can get 
  out of her.  It could be that she is happily married etc.  I suspect
  though that her reason goes back to the fact that there is a basic
  difference in how women (read more than 50% of women) hold sexual 
  encounters in a relationship versus the way that men can.  Women--
  tell us like it is!
