The cost to developers is $700. They have not yet decided how to handle the board swap, however. They may send an installation kit(screwdriver) or they may handle it through dealers. The availability is 4-6 weeks after ordering, and during that time they will send you the info on how it will be handled. They are *NOT* including Macproject and Macdraw. Since at least one local store is offering the upgrade for $795 and including the software, it seems that there is no advantage to developers on the upgrade. The letter sent to developers dated 14 September states that the 512K Macs are "at the Distribution Centers now!" I was told over the phone that there would be a 6-8 week delay after ordering.
