Mythadventures *is* published by WaRP Graphics, issue #2 came out about a
month ago, and the next is due in December. WaRP Graphics were the people
that created the legendary Elfquest comic book - cum - graphic novel.
Their reputation for erratic printing schedules was mostly due to the fact
that Wendy and Richard were not only drawing and scripting Elfquest, but
also trying to publish it at the same time (as well as keep up with a
tremendous fan club and more and more invitations to conventions, etc.).
Now that the Elfquest story is finished (for now, anyway), and the company's
two publications (Myth and another fine book called A Distant Soil) aren't
(I mean don't) involve as much of their time, they should get back to
a clock regular schedule.

As for the artwork and adaption, Phil Foglio is doing a wonderful job
adapting Bob Asprin's work to his own artistic style. (In fact, I just
took a few minutes off while typing this to reread it, it really is hilarious)
Comparing Phil's work to Kelly Freas', in my opinion, would be flattering
both of them, but they really have two different styles. Phil has also done
most of the artwork on the Starblaze editions of the myth books, as well,
so that will give you an idea of what he draws like.

(Hmm, this doesn't have a lot to do with sf, does it? Oh, well.)

If you'll take the recommendation of a total stranger, I say to buy these
comics. You'll have to go to a comic specialty store, however, as I'm
sure we won't see Waldenbooks stocking them (and more's the pity). They
are $1.50 a throw, are 8x11, and have 26 pages of story.

"NO! That makes me a PerVECT!"
