No, seriously. Unless I had no other choice, I would NEVER drive an
American car. An '81 Firebird is probably one of the poorest examples of
it, but show ANY American built car in the past few years that have any
performance. I'm not talking about a car that comes near racing specs,
I'm talking about one that could get out of its own way. I'm not real
interested in a car that takes half an hour to get up to highway speed,
or a car the the steering essentially does nothing at speeds higher than
30 mph. On top of this, show me one that is efficient. Just wondering,
can anyone out there figure out why they aren't efficient? Could it be
that they weight 3 tons so they can bash the hell out of Datsuns? Don't
know myself on that one.

And when all you people start screaming "Buy American, it'll save the
economy", I'll tell them to go sit on a sharp stick. If American
businesses want my money, they'll have to start producing products that
I want. Until they do, I'll continue to drive foriegn cars. If I get
bashed by someone driving an American tank, I hope his insurace is good.
