The closing scene in Flash disturbed me almost as much as the fact there was no super-speed action in this issue. You would think that someone who flicks bullets out of their flight path, runs laps around the earth in seconds flat, and changes clothes in 6/100 of a second (am I right on that one?) would've seen Big Sir's weapon (morningstar?) LONG before it struck. Heck, with his reflexes he should've instinctively shifted into vibratory mode the split-second that thing even began to dimple his cheek! That's an annoying habit I've noticed about Cary Bates--he slows down the Flash to get him into trouble and then brings him back up to "normal" speed to get him out. That's a shoddy way to compensate for a lack of a storytelling imagination! Swamp Thing--one of my favorite books! Exit Comics Code symbol, enter "Sophisticated Suspense"......I love it! Charles
