(OR "CHRIS'"). Wrong. Partly wrong. The second example is of one that terminates in "s" without being a plural, and is thus properly "Chris's" (see Strunk & White). The use of the "s'" is to provide a means of combining plural and posessive forms without confusion. Thus, unless Chris is the plural of Chri, then the rule does not apply. Don't argue with me, I'm right. Nyaah(did I spell that right?).
