Past postings identifying Bell Labs AI projects have neglected the most
successful example on the net: the "Usenix UUCP Project", or "UU" for
short.  The UUCP map and 2.10.2 distributions were impressive
achievements in increased net traffic, but the sophisticated vagueness
in the "progress reports" is outstanding!  Just a few years ago this
level of disinformation would have required constant human attention.

Seriously (?), is it time for an alternative Usenet project?
