The response forced me to answer several old messages about uucp, and send out the VMS command files to those who responded. (1) I repeat the offer, and solicit discussion. (2) When does the volume of responses warrant posting to the entire net ? (the package is large, but not huge). (3) In sending a VMS-executable-binary file, I found a program in /etc on my Eunice distribution called "cvtbackup", which converts a VMS save-set-file to a Unix (512-byte-record) file. By then uuencoding it, (also could be compressed), VMS binaries can be sent via mail.
