A friend of mine has a walnut tree (black walnut I think) and the nuts are
now dropping. They are encased in a green outer shell. We would like to
use these for ice cream and baking. Does anyone know if you must remove the
green casing and let the nuts dry out until spring or can they be dried
in the green casing?
Thanks in advance,
Tim Tierney
