Lines: 9 A bit of historical trivia: some 15 or 20 years ago women's footwear fashion changed from 2 1/2 inch heels the diameter of a quarter on the bottom to 3 1/2 inch the diameter of a dime. The city of Atlanta passed an ordinance limiting heel heights and requiring a larger diameter on the shoe-pavement interface. There was no intention of enforcing the ban.
