Is there some very old software coming back to haunt us, or did somebody
break something?  I'm referring to the recent rash of followups in
net.general--I thought most software of recent vintage forced followups to
go to net.followup.

It's bad enough that some folks think that meta-discussions of small furry
animals are important, timely announcements of interest to all, but at
least we ought to be able to get the followups on the discussion out of the
way.
