According to Apple, you can do this upgrade to a //e, but the chip has to be
a specific one (I think NC65C02).  They indicate, however, that availability
could be a problem.  I'm not sure whether it'll work for a II+ or lower.
I can get specific information this weekend and will post again next week
if someone else hasn't come up with the info.
