Correspondingly, consider "nymphomania". How many of you know the male form of this? (It's "satyriasis", which isn't common even in its abbreviated form---almost everyone will understand if you call a woman a nympho, but if you call a man a satyr probably 90% of your audience won't even know what you're talking about.) Think what that says about language and cultural beliefs. . . .
