While attending Middlebury College (Middlebury, Vermont), a friend of mine 
said she had some buddies with a really swinging local band down in
Poughkeepsie (Po-kipsy) NY.  We got them up for a concert (we both had
connections at school) and they were a big success.  4 (now 5) clean cut
hard bopping guys.  They play be-bop, straight ahead, and latin; a
good mix.  Their theme song is "Meet the Flintstones", the theme from
the cartoon.  That song can really MOOVE!

The band's name is Impulse.  Keep an eye/ear out for them, I think they have
an album or two out on an obscure New England label, but I'm not sure.
