     Now wait a minute.  Macintosh left vents heat up, but not to the
point where they are too hot to touch.  (but then everything in Texas is
hot in the summertime, maybe I am just used to it.)

     I have left my Mac on for days without any problem.  No trashed disks,
nothing.  Not even a burned screen.

     It might be some bad chips inside, drawing more power as they begin
to fail.  Might be a good idea to take it in and have it looked at.
