Then there was the time Madame Finklehoffer, Reader/Advisor/Seance Leader,
who used to work out of an old house in a rather depressed South Austin
neighborhood, tripped out on something really wierd.  Big deal;
everyone knows card readers are unreliable.  What was interesting
about this occasion was that she took to serenading the whole block
from the middle of the street, doing a fairly creditable imitation
of a cow.  A rookie cop, evidently as new to the area as to the
profession, really freaked out.  He just couldn't take this.  His
veteran partner chided him, ``Aw, c'mon.  Havencha ever heard a
