I bought a new Apple //e on Feb 1983 (about 3 weeks after it was released). My complaints are: (1) I was sold a version A board without being told. This means that I can't take advantage of the new super-hires color graphics offered by the version B board. I did however hear (from June 83 BYTE) that Apple would be upgrading all version A boards for free ( as long as you bought the extended 80-column card). When I went down to the CERTIFIED dealer(Computers 'n Things, N.Dartmouth, MA) I had purchased the computer from he just laughed at me and said he never heard of such a deal. I THOUGHT I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A LITTLE CONSIDERATION SINCE I HAD BEEN ONE OF THE ORIGINAL BUYERS OF THE //e. (2) I paid $1995 dollars for the basic system. It really burns me that less than 6 months later they're selling their systems for just over $1K. I REALLY GOT THE SHAFT. Anyone for a slightly used Apple //e? I didn't think so!!! mdn@foxvax1.uucp p.s. tell JOBS to shove it
