If there is one thing I can whole heartedly agree with from this
article, it is the statement about Mondales' candidacy.

I'm really getting sick and tired of hearing about "the joke."
Haven't you ever joked about something controvercial Mr. Corbet?
I, for one, have told jokes on the very same subject. Besides,
how can Mr. Mondale can't even pronounce the word correctly (:-)).

End what war in 100 days?

> - ERA. Mondale supports it, Reagan does not.

ERA is a dead issue. It was proposed as a constitutional
amendment and not ratified, even though it was given more
than ample time. While the president may not support the
ERA, I would say he supports women about as much as the
next guy.

What's there to negotiate. Look at the above statement again
and think about how far all those agreements got us. Even with
SALT I, and the unratified SALT II, we are still in the current
predicament. What good is a non-verifyable freeze, or reduction.

Speaking of SALT II, what political party was in control of
Congress when it was not ratified?

Here, I must say, that a valid point has been raised. Nobody
is perfect, Mr. Reagan included. While taxes may need to be
raised, I doubt Mr. Reagan would do it as anything but a last
resort. ure military spending is too high, but let's give the
President the benefit of the doubt because the economy is in
very good condition today because of his policies.

Doesn't it bother anybody that Mr. Mondale can be persuaded
to change his mind by anybody influential (i.e. who is a big
campaign contributor). Mr. Reagan is doing what he feels is
right, while every move Mr. Mondale makes is carefully weighed
on the large political scale.

Granted that life could be better, it can always be better.
But, do the liberals really believe that the answer to every
problem is creating more beaurocracy and more regulations?
Sure cutting the military budget would be a place to start,
but you've got to come up with a hell of a lot more than that,
and Mr. Mondale sure hasn't impressed me with his solutions.
