This is good, because then you can tell the visitors that there isn't anything to look at in the machine room and there is no point in them going in. This is good, in turn, because you won't get people leaning against your disk drives and spinning them down. (It HAS happened to me. Non-technical visitors are now banned from the machine room on tours.)
