I'm looking for suggestions on a future purchasing decision...

I'm looking for a decent new mountain bike (you know--the "Stumpjumper"
variety). But here's the kicker--I want something in the UNDER $300.00
range.

What I mean by "decent" is this:

The frame: Should have forged, brazed-on dropouts. Other appropriate braze-ons
like water-bottle bosses and derailleur mount. Chrome-moly steel, of
course.

The components: Decent quality--Suntour, Shimano, Dia-Compe.

Wheels: Alloy, of any decent quality.

What's most important is frame integrity, since I can upgrade
components later, if absolutely necessary.

Please mail your comments/suggestions to me.

Thanx....
