Message-ID: <1fb3223f.1147@apollo.uucp> Date: Fri, 1-Jun-84 13:55:51 EDT Article-I.D.: apollo.1fb3223f.1147 Posted: Fri Jun 1 13:55:51 1984 Date-Received: Tue, 5-Jun-84 19:38:48 EDT References: <400@drutx.UUCP> Organization: Apollo Computer, Chelmsford, Mass. Lines: 9 If "Bell" is such a dirty word, why are we still building phones with bells in them? Actually, I just bought a Western Electric (oops, AT&T) phone a couple weeks ago, and on the box was a message about how newer models have electronic ringers instead of bells. This was just a plain old desk phone. Is AT&T really going to phase out bells? The phone in the box had a bell.
