Someone not paying attention.  We saw the bad guy/high priest push past the
kid and the goil, after putting them on there to convince IJ not to break the
bridge, so as to be in on the kill (I suppose).  On the other hand, I consider
nit-picking of this order to be a sign that someone didn't enjoy the movie.
It's all "the willing suspension of disbelief", after all.  Why not complain
about the rigidity of the inflatable life raft and the difficulty of balancing
it well enough, or the tedious "I hit you, now you hit me" scene on the conveyor
belt (real fights don't work like that), or the irrelevance of the girl in the
first place, or the amount of fuel needed by a rather short-range 'plane, or...
I happen to be a firm believer in "good=enjoyable", "bad=nitpick".
