Over the past few months, our group has been involved in bringing
up "ditroff" on a VAX 11/780, and sending the resulting binary files
(through a telecommunications link) to an Autologic APS-5 typesetter.
We are presently sending the files through our corporate ATEX system
via a simple asynch. interface (without flow control). Due to the
lack of flow control, we are exploring options for upgrading the
interface to the ATEX/APS-5.
Can anyone make a recommendation on the best way to send files
to an APS-5. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
