In "The Dragons of Eden" (pg 42-43), Carl Sagan arrives at a figure of:
		10 trillion to 100 trillion bits,
which is	1.25 million to 12.5 million megabytes,
or		1.25 to 12.5 gigabytes.

(... assuming 8-bit bytes).
