1. Are there any good audio/stereo discounters in the Boston area?

    (There are none here in the Northwest, and I'll be in Boston later
    this month so I thought I'd do some shopping for a Sony TC-K555
    cassette deck.  Best price in the Portland (Oregon) area is $390;
    Illinois Audio in Chicago sells it for $280... by mail.)

    Any comments on Trolley Stereo in Waltham?

2. In April, Sony told the audio/stereo mail-order discount houses
    that they could not sell Sony audio/stereo equipment (other than
    Walkman) to anyone more than 150 miles from the store. Does anyone
    know what the fair-trade laws say about this?

    (I've bought some good Sony equipment this way, and have saved a
    bundle, but, alas.... no longer. There aren't any mail-order
    discount houses within 150 miles of Portland. The mail-order
    discount houses say they can ship to a friend within the 150-mile
    radius, and he can forward to you... IF you have a friend in the
    area.)

Thanks in advance for suggestions and comments.
