Lines: 25 The flyer about the Vatican reminds me of a flyer that went around here listing all of the sins that would get you damned forever. They included not only murder, incest, and adultery, but also things like missing church, being friends with someone of another religion, enjoying sex, and knowing someone who had had premarital sex or who had sex for purposes other than reproduction. There were about 200 or 300 sins, and there was a contest in the local medieval militia to see who had done the most (a guy named Yvonne Chort won, with I believe over 100 sins - or was it over 200?). Sorry this is so far after the original, but I'm really behind on my news. I do wish I had a copy of all those sins so I could keep track ... - rene p.s. there's an evangalist who comes on campus here (name of Tom Short) who says essentially the same things (although I think it's ok to enjoy sex once you're married). It seems he was given a little jade figurine by a friend who travelled through Africa. Being an idol (it was man-shaped), it was naturally evil, and since he didn't feel right selling it (it was evil and satan's work, and all that), he crushed it and buried it in his backyard. I wonder what he thinks of department store manniquins? -- rene@nlm-mcs
