[A little bird told me about this bug]

Sharon,

Have you tried contacting the local Audubon Society.  Most chapters
have monthly trips to points of interest for birders.  Also, the
National Audubon Society has some organized camps at various refuges
and nature preserves.  The best way to keep up on what's available
is to join the society.  If you attend a chapter meeting there should
be lots of people who will be glad to talk to you about places to
go.
