The manual explicitly says that it is the purchaser's responsibility to verify that the printer you are using is compatible... Unfortunately, the printer types are hard coded, which makes them hard to change... Here at Haverford we had hoped to use this package for student WP on 4 Nec 7730's which we already have (~8K$). Well, Displaywrite II works on the NEC 3550, but on the 7730 it was just LOSE, LOSE. The moral of the story is *ASK*. It is a new product, and IBM is showing signs of learning from their early release mistakes (like the printer tables). If you have a 3550 compatible printer, however, I heartily recommend the product. It has all of the advantages of simplicity and efficacy. Jonathan S. Shapiro Haverford College Haverford, Pa.
