I would strongly recommend NOT using the UHF Ringo Ranger!!!!!

I have one up at home, fed with 1/2 inch hard-line and it fails to
work under certain conditions of moisture. The SWR is ridiculously
high especially in fog. I intend to replace it as soon as I determine
what I want to replace it with.

How about building a collinear using coax sections ( that's what
Andrew and Phelps-Dodge do)? Use pvc to house the antenna.
