A friend who went to spring DECUS just told me a hot rumor that
DEC will soon offer the bourne shell as an alternate command
language interpreter for VMS! Using SETCLI, both the 'native' VMS
and bourne shell can coexist on the same VMS system at the same time.
For those of you who simply berate VMS for it's interface,
you can have your shell and VMS, too! Note that it's just
cosmetic, no real UNIX underneath. Just think:

$ edt /disk$user/myname/sfd/sfd/verylongvms4.0filename;1

Of course you could always use VMS emacs, too. No word on the syntax
for DECnet, or commands/utilities available.
