Okay, since there are people here, but no discussion, I'll start something.


There is this song that I really like called Liberty.  Apparently it is
quite old (Scot vs English timeframe).  In it there are a whole bunch
of references to groups/clans.  Can someone identify them and explain
why they are referenced in that manner?  The list of groups is as follows:

cross of Andrew 
sword of William 
crown
falcon
eagle
lion
raven
spear 

no longer green field
silver shield
someone "they" sold
someone with gold clothes
someone "they" can't keep locked up

Well, it's a pretty blood-thirsty song, but it is good long distance driving
music!
