Lines: 25 From: jeff (Jeff Frey) JCWitney sells a polish for visors & other plexiglas-type stuff that works very well for small scratches; actually any fine polish (Linde A or B, for example) would do. Perhaps larger scratches could be filled in by waxing (auto wax) the plastic. But of course, this is the reason replacement visors are sold. I have a BMW 60/7 that doesn't need much maintenance sinceI prefer to look at it rather than ride it. The BMW Owners' club used to have a terrific maintenance section in its newsletter but the guy who was responsible for it seems to have lost a political battle with the mangement (which seems to be trying to turn the BMWOC and its magazine into some sort of moto-business and CYCLE magazine) and quit. Thereupon I quit the club. Probably the best bet would be to join the BMWOC, get a list of back issues (with contents of the technical section) of the magazine, order the ones you want, then quit. I really must say I admired Mr Okleshen, who did an enormous amount of work on the BMW technical stuff for the OC. He didn't stand for bull, always was scientific (controlled experiments) in a sort of rough way, and really cared about what he did. His only problem was prolixity, but a small price to pay. Jeff Frey
