The Civil Aeronautics Board said it has granted London-based
Virgin Atlantic Airways temporary rights for non-stop service between
Newark, N.J., and London. VA's introductory economy-fare flights
will start at $159 for one-way service beginning Friday. That fare
will run through June 30, when the minimum will rise to $189.
