I would imagine that there were people at the time that SIMPLE DREAMS and LIVING
IN THE USA were released that wondered what happened to the plaintive-voiced
lady of "He Dark the Sun", "Silver Threads and Golden Needles", and "We Need a
Whole Lot More of Jesus (and a Lot Less Rock and Roll)". She could have been
another Loretta Lynn.
	I sympathize with you. I'm not terribly excited about her singing big-
band torch songs, Gilbert & Sullivan, or grand opera (she's apparently doing
"La Boheme" as her next project), but I admire her for trying not to get stuck
in a rut, and doing something different.
