It seems to me that as long as a Lisa is needed to do serious Mac
software development, Apple will have to sell and support Lisa.
Any guesses on how long that will be?
Also the literature distributed to prospective Mac developers makes
much of the upgrade path to the Lisa and the extra installed base
available to compatible programs, indicating that they plan to 
continue the product.
Why make a major upgrade of the product if it will be continued?
Besides, the price/performance is finally getting interesting.
