The obvious way to try to deal with this problem is to try to find
the other creditors in the area and file a joint-action suit.  If
you can find enough other people who have been burned, you can
share the lawyer bills and probably do better than one person
retaining one lawyer.  You would probably have to do a bit of
searching to find other customers who have been burned.  Good luck -
those people sound crooked!
