Who really cares? The players certainly don't care if they win or lose even though they might say they do. It's just a big ego thing to be selected. A true all-star game contest should be played at the end of the season after a player has proven that he can perform over 162 games. Then it should be a best of 7 or 11 series where starting pitchers can go more than 3 innings. One game in the middle of the year doesn't prove anything.
