All the above is true about the first movie. However, the question
was about the sequel to American Graffiti called *MORE American Graffiti*.
The sequel was released in 1979.

The first movie (AG) dealt with the subject as expressed above. The year
is 1962, by the way. The second movie (MAG) follows the characters of
the first movie into the mid-to-late 60's. In the second movie, there are
actually four separate stories going on. We are shown a segment from one
story, then the film goes to the next story, and so forth. Each story takes
place in one evening, as in the first movie -- on New Years Eve 1964 (John
Milner at the race track), 1964 (Terry the toad in Viet Nam), 1966 (Debbie
in San Franciso), and 1967 (Ron Howard and Cindy Williams in Berkley).

In the 1966 story, MacKenzie Phillips and Harrison Ford make brief appearances.

I've seen "American Graffiti" in the theatre three times and a number of
times on television. I saw "More American Graffiti" when it was released
and on the subsequent television showing in 1982.
