One of (no, THE) best book on such subjects I have found is
"Caring Enough to Confront" by David Augsburger. It is required
reading for all department coordinators here. My current SO is
reading my copy now. Good stuff. Other books by the same author that
I haven't read yet, but are supposed to be good are "Caring Enough
to Love", and "When Caring Isn't Enough". Mr. Augsburger's
theme in these is "truthing it in love" The ideas he presents
have been of great use in my life, when I am thoughtful enough
to use them.
