Perhaps some of the many drivers out in netland may have had a
similar symptom in their favorite auto: I drive a '74 Suburu and
am plagued by what sounds like a chicken squawking. This noise
comes from the back, right tire well when going over bumps,
and is particularly agravated when TURNING LEFT.
It subsides almost completely in rainy weather. I suspect that something
in the suspension is rubbing but its a little hard to look when driving.

If anyone else has encountered this problem or knows either cause or cure I
would be interested to know. I can't help wondering whether its only a matter 
of time before I'm driving on three wheels.
