It's a complete reem-job. No matter how fantastically lucky you get, which you have to be to get to level 20, you still get stuck between two phantoms and two black unicorns, and gee, too bad I used my scare monster scroll when I fought those five troll two minutes ago, and the other one I burned by reading, etc. You can't win this mess, and how far you get is dependent on random chance. I have an idea, if you feel like a game of rogue while your computer is down, go strap yourself to an anthill and you'll get the same effect.
