I shun any manufacturer whose diskettes have ANY bad sectors. Which is why I'm surprised that you had problems with Maxell diskettes. I've used them for years and rarely have any problems. Anyway, just send them back and Maxell will replace them. They are warranted for life. A hard disk is another story. Usually a hard disk will come with some bad sectors (which your OS will take care of). You should not continue to find bad sectors after formatting for the first time, though.
