Many thanks to Stuart Lewis for his interesting and informative post-
ing about how radio stations work. Now, does anybody know the inside story on
the way in which Billboard and/or other record charts go about compiling their
hit lists? I know that the position of a single in supposed to be a combination
of its sales and airplay, but some of the rankings have seemed suspicious to
me in the past. Any info?
