Our system's LOGFILE has quite a few messages that say something like
uucp flairva (4/26-12:13-7136) LOST LINE (LOGIN)
5 messages, all exactly the same, appear any time one does. It happens
when we poll our neighbors via cron. I suspect it tries 5 times before
giving up, generating 5 error messages in the process. We are using CD
(carrier detect) with the modem. It probably never even gets a chance
to dial. Uucico only has this problem; uupoll seems to work fine.
Anyone have an idea what might be causing it, and how to fix it?
