For my research I write large/long running number crunchers and an awful lot of the code is used to parse the command line arguments and check their sanity. True, C has some shortcomings (no complex!) but I'd much rather have the nice string and structure manipulation. Right now I am anxiously waiting for C++ to see the light of day.....
