Message-ID: <761@phoenix.UUCP> Date: Fri, 15-Jun-84 12:15:30 EDT Article-I.D.: phoenix.761 Posted: Fri Jun 15 12:15:30 1984 Date-Received: Sat, 16-Jun-84 04:09:15 EDT Organization: AT&T Information Systems, Lincroft NJ Lines: 20 i have been having lots of pain and little luck with keeping my arm that has tendonitis in a cast. the doctors say the next step (if in 2 weeks this doesnt get better) is a steroid injection. and, if that doesn't work, the last step is surgery. my arm is in lots of pain and although i am not crazy about drugs (especially steroids!!!), i have been told to take high doses of aspirin plus another pain killer. STILL i am in agony. SO, my next question is has anyone tried accupuncture? does anyone know anything good/bad about it? does anyone have the names of such doctors in the central NJ area? I would much prefer accupuncture over steroids or surgery--although if i had to chhose between the steroid and surgery i would prefer the surgery. but the doctors would want to inject a steroid before operating. thanks marianne eagan (the walking band-aid)
