On the other hand, the folks who designed the modem knew that said relay was going to be used for dialing, so it's likely to be a long-life model. I wouldn't worry too much, Dave; the main autodialer at utzoo, which is also an R-V modem and probably uses the same relay, makes maybe a dozen calls an hour, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. It's been operational for two years now and is showing no signs of trouble.
