This is a shot in the dark, but is there anybody out there who has
upgraded their 750 from the old style backplane/memory controller
who has the old memory sitting around unused, or who is about to
upgrade and isn't sure what they are going to do with that memory?

We have a 750 with 1 MB of old style memory, and want to upgrade to
2 MB. We could spend $10K and upgrade our backplane and memory
controller, or we could just buy another MB of old memory. I've
seen a price of $7500 to buy old memory, and been offered $1K in
tradein for our current MB. It seems that between these two
extremes there might be a reasonable third party transaction possible.
(We can buy 1 MB of new memory for $2500, but that would
involve swapping CPU's with another in the lab with the new backplane,
which would be a moderate pain. However, it's clear we can't justify
spending over $2500 for 1 MB of the old memory.)

Lacking any offers of memory for sale, does anyone have any suggestions
about places to go or avoid for memory? Is $2500 too much for a MB
of new memory?
