I haven't seen anything from UNC either denying or confirming the
censorship articles posted by Tim before he left. Aside, from being
interesting as a case history, I have the following reactions:

	1. Someone at UNC should respond to the articles and clear up any
misinformation the articles may have conveyed.

	2. Tim did at times post offensive articles, but I never saw
articles or received any offensive mail from Tim that would
justify the actions taken by UNC.

	3. A question that is still has not been answered for me is: Was
it the intellectual content of Tim's articles that UNC
officials found offensive or was it the way the articles were
written? Tim was not above name calling or using derogatory
  	   language.

	4. There is no question of rights or a violation of rights
	   involved.

	5. While there is no question of rights involved, a University,
amongst other things, is supposed to create an environment
hospitable to the free exchange of ideas, the impression given
by the censorship articles is that this is not true at UNC.

	6. It is not apparent to me that Tim ever discovered what was
	   offending the officials at UNC.

It is difficult for me to draw any conclusions about the people involved
based on Tim's articles. However, I believe the articles should make us
all aware of just how fragile the net is.
