Thanks a great deal to all those netters who responded to my request
for information about microwave ovens.

After much research and shopping, I have decided to get an Amana
Touchmatic Radarange. The warrantee on the megatron tube is the
best of all models that I looked at: 10 years and you don't have
to disassemble the whole cabinet to change the light bulb. The inside
is stainless steel (easy to clean) and it is a real basic oven.
I don't plan on doing major feats of culinary (sp.) arts so this
model is good. It is the RR810 model. For cooking food evenly,
I plan on purchasing an inexpensive Carousel to turn the bowls or
whatever I am cooking. This oven also has a probe and is digital
with stop, start, and light buttons. The inside is 1.1 cubic feet

My only other recommendation is to shop around for the best price.
I saw the same model at a major department store for ~$180 more.
I would suggest a store that deals mostly in appliances, TVs, etc.,
to get the best price. In Chicagoland, it's Polk Bros. Check
in a larger metropolitan area newspaper if you're not in Chicago area.

Thanks again to all of those people who responded.

Katie
