{  Hey, I hope this works...  }

First, thanks to Greg Skinner of mit-eddie for explaining how to post
something. Hopefully, this will remove some confusion.

Guess what I just heard? Went up and raided some singles and found
the brand new Mick Jagger/Michael Jackson duet from the Jacksons new
album called "Victory", I think.

How did I know this would be around? Well, I bumped into something
kind of cute going through AP this morning: some radio station in
California, and I forget the call letters, played this song for 23
hours. They broke for commercials, news, etc., but whenever they
played a song, it was this one. They even lied and said that it
was someone else ("That's Cyndi Lauper here at...")

No one complained! However, one person did call in and mention that
he thought the engineer might have gone to sleep.

Anyway, the song is rather amusing. The first thing you notice is
the beat. Good beat. The second thing you notice is the vocals:
Mick Jagger. The next thing you notice is there seems to be a high
pitch noise in the background. Right! Michael! He gets pretty lost
when he sings next to Mick. Maybe it was a bad mixing job. All I
know is he gets lost in the soup. Lots of "oohs" and "ahhs" and
moans and such.

And finally, the last thing you notice is there isn't much else.
No lyrics came immediately to mind, carving themselves indelibly
into my head. Nothing really outstanding. Just a steady thump
thump thump.

Soon to be a major Top 40 Hit: Michael Jackson & Mick Jagger:
"State of Shock!"

(Hey, is it too late to change camps?)
