Why do "registered purebreds" have such pretentious names? I can see and understand the desire to trace and maintain the bloodline and have no doubt that it is a desirable thing, maintaining genetic material for the future. But that doesn't mean the animal needs to be treated differently than any other, except in controlling breeding. Just because you record the names doesn't mean that the names have to be fancy, after all. Name a dog something you can yell from the back porch when you want to call it! (Two sylables maximum...)
