This update is from Friday, June 8th. I didn't record on Monday,
June 11, but I have been watching on June 12, June 13, and June 14,
as I was home sick. This is the first chance I have had to post, so
I am sorry that it is a little behind schedule.

Friday, June 8

Hope goes to see Bo in the hospital. She sees one of the thugs there
so she knows she must lie to Bo and tell him that she doesn't love
him. She tells him that she is going to marry Larry and that she
should have never left the church with Bo. She tells Bo that she
hates him. She did this primarily because one of the thugs called
Hope at home and told her that if she didn't do exactly as she was
told, her grandmother, Alice Horton, was going to end up in worse
shape that Bo Brady. This really scares Hope.

One of the thugs meets with Larry and tells him that he must marry
Hope. It is an order from someone who is very interested in Larry's
political career. We the audience knows that someone is Maxwell
Hathaway, but Hope and Larry do not know who is manipulating their
lives in such a manner.

Larry retains Gwen as his attorney to find out who is behind the
personal and political manipulation of Larry's life. This is
starting to smell of organized crime, with Maxwell as the BIG
boss.

Gwen and Larry go to bed together. He asked her and she resisted,
for about a minute. They have always been very attracted to each
other, but it looks like they are falling in love. Larry gets drunk
that night, which is the night before his second attempt at marriage
to Hope.

Larry and Hope really do not love each other. Larry wants to marry
Hope to further his political career and Hope was on the rebound from
Bo when he rejected her. Bo rejected Hope to keep her safe from
Stephano DiMera and his nephew Andre, who once tried to kill Hope.
Hope and Larry are making themselves miserable trying to convince each
other that they love each other and they are going to live happily
ever after.

Melissa and Carlos make a date so that Melissa and Pete can go out
together without Melissa's parents finding out.

Diane goes to Hope and tells her that Bo loves her and that Hope has
no right to hurt him like she has. Diane tells Hope that she is trash
and if she ever goes near Bo again, she will have to deal with Diane.

The morning of the wedding of Hope to Larry (second attempt), Larry
goes over to see Hope. Hope starts getting hysterical, saying that
she can not go through with the wedding. She is saying that she is
too young to know what she wants, etc. She is yelling and getting
hysterical and Larry slaps her across the face.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I will just summarize what went on during Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday's (June 12, 13, and 14) shows.

Hope and Larry are wed successfully this time, but the audience can
tell that Hope is extremely unhappy. She faints in the middle of
the ceremony. One of the thugs is present at the ceremony to make
sure that she goes through with it. At the honeymoon suite that
night, Hope tells Larry that she was forced to marry him and that
she hates him and everything is his fault. She tells Larry that
she never loved him and that she still and always will love Bo.

Bo gets out of the hospital and is taken to his hearing on the
kidnapping charges, grand theft auto, and assaulting a police
officer and stealing his motorcycle. A mystery person posts Bo's
$100,000 bail and guess who that is! Right, Maxwell Hathaway! I
am really beginning to dislike this character a LOT. He has his
grubby hands in practically everyone's life in this show. Another
J.R. Ewing, for sure!

Melissa is contemplating going to a dance camp for the summer. She
is a dancer. Pete doesn't want her to go, but he does not want to
be selfish and deny her, so he says he will go to visit her is she
decides to go.

Chris Kosicheck is planning a party for Pete's 18th birthday. Melissa
wants to go, so she invites her parents so she can go. They are
thinking about it.

Tess and Chris go on a picnic and have a really nice time. They are
getting closer.

Neil Curtis is turned down by every bank in Salem for a loan to
buy Doug's Place for Liz. He goes to Maxwell Hathaway; they used
to play golf together and Max is head of one of the most prominent
banks in Salem. Max grants Neil the loan and when Neil has left
Max's presence, Max calls him a sucker.

Neil tells Liz that he has a loan to buy the club and Liz announces
that she and Neil are the new owners and the new name of the club
is Blondie's. Neil has always called Liz "Blondie". It is his pet
name for her.

Bo is out of the hospital and jail and he and Diane hit all the
bars along the waterfront in Salem. Bo is trying hard to forget
Hope. He gets drunk and almost gets in a fight. He tells Diane
and Eugene that he hates Hope and he is going to do everything in
his power to forget her and get her out of his life for good.

Carlos gets a phone call from his mother in South America. It
makes him happy until he finds out about some heavy fighting
and the death of some of his friends. He tries to solicite medical
supplies from Neil, but Neil says that it would cost a fortune.
