San Diego, Computer Center Lines: 29 [] I just had my best game ever this morning (4 Am!), but like always, I bit it in the end. I went all the way down to level 25, but I can't seem to remember what level the Amulet of Yendor appears. I thought it was level 26, but two of my friends say it's 24 (they say I blew a game that was a sure total winner, but neither have been below level 20). Would someone please tell me which level it is, so I can settle this argument? A reply by mail would be sufficient. Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Some notes on the game: Don't underestimate the power of staves: I had a lot of luck with 2 slow monster staves, and a wand of cancellation, and little else but a 2-hander and protected plate [7]. All I did was try to fight what I could with the 2-hander, and if I got in to trouble, I'd zap 'em to slow them down, and then RUN AWAY! Oh well, you have to make due with what you have. I didn't see any healing potions, any rings, or any decent scrolls (except for protect armor) for the entire game. "You have a strange feeling of deja vu... it passes... You have a strange ..."
