Klingon Ship in Star Trek III__________________________________________________

"Bird of Prey" is the way the old-style Romulan ships were described.
They had a bird painted on the underside. In a later episode, the Romulans had
Klingon ships, suggesting some kind of alliance with the Klingons. The Klingon
ship in STII looked more like a Klingon battle cruiser than a Romulan bird-of-
prey. (By the way, the alliance between the Klingons and the Romulans might
explain why the Klingons had the cloaking device. Curious, though; the Romu-
lan Empire and the Klingon Empire are on opposite sides of the Federation's
space...)
