I am considering building an antenna composed of four (4) Ringo Ranger II
antennas (Cushcraft ARX-450B). The antennas would be mounted one above the
other, with the second and fourth (from the top) inverted (phased
appropriately), and (looking from the top down) at 90 deg. angles on a
1 1/4" mast. The justification for doing this is that the performance should
rival that of the commercial collinear antennas at a fraction of the cost.
If you have made such a thing I would like to hear your comments. TNX
