I had a chance to see the Epson color portable on display at CES
this week. I has a surprisingly good picture with plenty of
brightness (at least in doors). This is accomplished by having
the screen backlite. One disadvantage is that this light uses
half of the power consumed by the entire unit. The useful life
of the battery pack is fairly short as I recall (at least as compared
to what I would expect). It has an AC adapter to plug into the wall
if you are close to an outlet. They were not the only company showing
a small 2" to 3" TV but I believe they were the only one with an LCD
display.
