One scene I just didn't understand was the break McCoy out of detention
scene.  Just who were these guards?  Who is the first to tell an ADMIRAL
"you've only got two minutes" in a rude manner.  Is this insubordination
or what?  And even worse, the other guard has the gall to call a
Lt. Commander "tiny"?  He doesn't deserve a judo flip, he deserves the
stockade!


I too felt the destruction of the Enterprise was gratuitous.  Scott and
Kirk just didn't seem to care.  When it burned up in the atmosphere, they
might as well have turned their back for all they cared.  It feels as
though the writers were told, "we want the Enterprised trashed.  Do it."
