So who do you think gives words their definitions?  They don't come from on
high, you know.  The fact that the media constantly misuse the word
"hacker" is just one of many examples of their inability to get almost
anything straight when they report it.

Why should they redefine a word that's been in good use for at least
fifteen years?  They will do so if we wimp out.  Tell 'em they're wrong,
fools, etc., enough times, and eventually their innate one-upmanship might
work to force them to get it right.
