The long joke posted by dec-vaxuum!dyer titled "The Jews of Rome (Not
Offensive?)" is from "Isaac Asimov's Treasury of Humor" by Isaac Asimov.
Of course, the concept of a joke is not copyrightable, but in this case,
as far as I can remember the book version, the item posted to the net uses
exactly the same words, and is therefore (c) Isaac Asimov.  Stop that!

David L. Pope (ih1ap!weutil)'s proposal that "GOOD JOKES are of extra-
terrestrial origin" may have been an independent thought of his, but in
fact this ALSO has been said by Asimov - it's the premise of a short
story of his.  Nothing illegal here, of course.  (Sorry, I can't
remember the title, but I don't think net.jokes.d cares about that.)
