Is there any way around this?? Opening CON without the colon appears to always get the console, but we don't seem to be able suspend echoing and buffering. The behavior we want is that of fd = open("/dev/tty", 2); Anyone know how to make this happen reliably in the face of whatever is placed on the command line (ie, I/O redirection)?? -Mike O'Dell
