Our current mayor, Frank Ivancie, is not without his accomplishments, and writes a weekly column in one of the local advertiser newspapers. Writing may not be his forte, but he still manages to invent quotable passages. Witness a recent column called "Dinner with Horst," extoling the virtues of a new cooking school. "The Horst Mager Culinary Institute is no ordinary cooking school. It's a Cordon Bleu-type school. You know Cordon Bleu. It's that famous French school that turns out the world's best chefs and pastry makers. Famous ones, too. Julia Child, if my memory's right, either graduated from there or showed it on one of her shows." Love that mayor. -- Robert Reed, Tektronix Logic Design Systems, tektronix!teklds!bobr
