It is a good thing to put comments in your sys file with #.
It is a bad thing to put blank lines into your sys file.

Also, I have recently been using this format:

dual:fa,mod,na,net,usa::
dual:ba,ca::
dual:to.dual::

(ignore the fact that we use batching)
There is one line for the stuff we send everyone, one line for local
sites, and one line for that particular site. Then I can just cut and
paste lines around, editing only the first word and the to.xxx.
I don't have to remember all the various distributions this way.
