I don't think the pencil art is so terrible (Zeck has done some good work
elsewhere), but I could live without Beatty's inks.  This seemed even more
apparent when Bob Layton did the pencil art.  Layton's stuff in Hercules
was quite nicely detailed and was indicative of the effort he must've put
in on that job.  He seems to be a good all-around "chronicler" like John
Byrne but his efforts kind of lose something under the heavy brush of Beatty.
Perhaps the pencil art isn't "fully rendered" and is just layouts or 
breakdowns and consequently, Beatty has a lot more to do with the appearance
of the finished product.

Then again, I could be wrong.....
