I'm having some difficulty, not being a math major, determining
where the imaginary terms are mixed in during the FFT.
Most butterfly diagrams are one-dimensional and must be assuming
something? What I'm asking I guess; is there a way to draw a
butterfly diagram showing the mixing action or do I need to start
over again with the basics of math first.  Any help would be
appreciated.  The reason I'm interested is because I'm an
electronics technician trying to figure out how the algorithm
works.  Also some study references would be greatly appreciated!
