The Russians have taken the initial initiative and continue to develop ASAT wepons. I think an ASAT race is terrible but if there is no treaty, assuming the Russians honour it, we have to go ahead. Not nice but necesary. I say stop for a year and see if they talk. If they don't we will have lost two years, it takes a while to get going again, and will have to give it alot of attention, and money, to catch up again.
