Message-ID: <511@spuxll.UUCP> Date: Fri, 22-Jun-84 11:04:08 EDT Article-I.D.: spuxll.511 Posted: Fri Jun 22 11:04:08 1984 Date-Received: Sun, 24-Jun-84 00:04:04 EDT Organization: AT&T Information Systems, South Plainfield NJ Lines: 12 I commute approx 50 miles each way, and on a nice day,(rare in N.J.) I take my honda cb750 to work. One thing I have noticed in passing other cyclists is their tendency to ride with one hand. (the other resting on their lap) I tried this myself, but at speeds of over 60 I just did not feel comfortable unless both were holding on. (We're on a 3-lane highway). Does anyone out there have a rational explanation as to why anyone would want to ride one-handed? I thought it might avoid some back strain on a long trip, but the posture remains about the same as the throttle hand is still holding on. Are these guys just crazy or what? Thanx, Bob
