We are looking for the name of the position sensing
device of a digitizer, also known as a puck, mouse,
or cursor

Our firm developes CAD systems for architects, space
planners, and floor layout personnel. The digitizer
is for entering things such as the room layout and
furnishings.

Our users are comfortable with the term "mouse," but
we wish to find the correct term as the term "mouse"
is the term used for another computer input device.

We are searching for a term, other than those noted
above, which will correctly describe the device and
will sit comfortably with our users.

If anyone knows of such a term, please let me know.
