When I was living in the dorms at Washington University in St. Louis,
there were a number of dorms that still weren't given "real" names
(i.e. names of deceased benefactors to W.U., such as Helen and Carl
Umrath, leading to the popular dorm T-shirt, "Raise Helen Umrath").
These "unnamed" dorms were named by letters of the alphabet.

My Freshman year, I lived in 'H' dorm.  We had a cheer, invented by
our R.A. (resident advisor) . . .

"Gimme an 'H'"          "H"
"Whuduz it spell?"      "H"

well, a quick laugh, anyhow . . .
