Both my stove and fridge have been successfully repainted.
Got a free fridge and took it to a car painter who did
a beautimous job with auto paint for $50; looks like new.
Bought an old gas stove of the genre "Darling, with
tear-drop handles" and sprayed it with automotive
engine paint, which is meant to take high heat and comes
in a surprising variety of colors). The paint job has
stood up well.
