Thanks to all who replied. I received two different types of
responses:

	1) Throw out the DZ11 and buy an ABLE (EMULEX) DH/DM.

	2) type 'stty exta'

Number two works fine on USG UNIX. The DZ11 has an "undocumented"
19.2 Kbaud mode. Many gave the first reason because of the heavy
load caused by DZ11 interrupts.
The ABLE DH/DM has some sort of intelligence to handle these
and off load the cpu. This isn't a problem under USG UNIX because
of the KMC11 assist.
