I don't recall seeing "Episode IV: A New Hope" at the original release
of Star Wars, but I have definitely seen it at theaters during later
releases. It also appears on the videotape I have seen, and on HBO.
They must have stuck it on when they decided to make "Episode V: The
Empire Strikes Back."

I think the CBS showing was fully intact, however, I found all the
little speeches by CBS "personalities" about their reactions and
memories of Star Wars rather annoying and distracting. I mean, who
cares what Kate Jackson or Valerie Bertinelli thought about the movie,
or about anything at all, for that matter?
