This is a cute little problem. White needs to make a second eye but two of the
groups it needs to make one at c1 are in atari. I am convinced that white can-
not undercut black successfully along the A or B row. This makes the C1 eye
critical.

C1 doesn't work because black at b3 falsifies the eye. But, if white plays b3,
black discovers that even if he plays c1 to capture whites four stones white 
will be able to play d2, atari!
