I own a 1983 Nissan Stanza XE 4 door hatchback.
Since I bought the car in early October I have monitored
my gas mileage pretty closely.

Although 90% of my driving is highway
(about 28 miles each way to work), my records
show that the best mileage I ever got was about 31 mpg.

Considering that the car is advertised
at 46 mpg highway and 31 mpg city, and even allowing for up to
20% error for the hihgway mileage, I don't seem to come even close.

Does anybody else experience similar problems with their Stanza?
Is this a normal advertisement trick, or should I take my car in to
the dealer and have it worked on? If it is an engine problem,
does anybody know what the problem may be ? (The engine seems to
be working fine, although it is pretty powerless on cold days.)

Please answer by direct mail.
