Here are some gas mileage figures from cars I have owned. The figures
for the Corvair and Saabs came from memory but while I had the cars
I kept good records.

1966 Corvair Corsa (164 cubic inch 4 carburettor 4 speed) Hard stop and
go city driving: 8-10 mpg. highway 70-75 mph : 18-19 mpg
The corvairs and we owned several in our family at the time all
got notoriously bad mileage for weight/performance. The four
carburettor ones were especially bad.

1970 Saab Sonett III (1.5 liter 4 speed) city/suburban: 22mpg
					highway 70-75 mph: 30-32mpg

1973 Saab Sonett III (1.7 liter 4 speed) city/suburban: 22mpg
					highway 70-75: 34-36 mpg
The 1973 Saab although it had a slightly larger engine was equipped
with Saab Stage 1 rally setup which was a 2 barrel weber with
a large secondary and small primary barrel compared to the stock 1
barrel FOMOCO carb which came on both 1970 and 1973 Saabs.
The highway mileage definitly improved with the Weber setup.

1979 Mercury Capri (2.8 liter 2bbl. 4speed) city/suburban 15-16 mpg
					Highway 70-75 mph: 25-26 mpg

1980 Mazda RX-7 (1.15 liter Wankel 4 bbl 5speed) city suburban:15-16mpg
					Highway 70-75 mph: 24-25 mpg

1983 Cadillac Cimarron(2.0 liter TBI 5 speed) city/suburban 20-22 mpg
					Highway 70-75 mph: 28-30 mph
