Unfortunately for Ima and Ura Hogg, it is quite true.  He had enough money
that Ima and Ura wouldn't change their names for risk of lossing out on the
inheritance.

Unless my memory fails me, there is a statue (or was) of him at UTA (Austin
that is).  I believe some top dogs over there tried talking him into making
a statue of something else, but failed.  He was VERY heavy set.

My information comes from a math professor who got his doctorate at UTA.
It has been a few years since he told us this, so I've probably made an
inaccuracy or two.
