`82 Reliant, 62,000 miles. (no, that's not a typo) Power steering but
non-assisted brakes and no AC. Automatic slushpot.

Average 23 to 24 mpg with Michelin XZX tires. With the original equipment
(Goodyear Viva) I averaged 26 to 27. On the highway, I've gotten over 30
with the original tires (long trips, no traffic). Highway now is about 26
to 27 mpg. Worst? I'm not really sure, but I suspect that it went down to
about 13 one night when I drove 95 miles in a snowstorm (2" to 3" all the way).
It was so cold that I had to keep up to about 35 mph and stay in second gear
to keep the engine warm enough to maintain torque. After that trip I started
using cardboard in front of the radiator.

I usually accelerate hard and cruise at the speed limit or with the majority
of traffic. I just can't seem to make the time to allow for leisurely trips.

This car's oil consumption was originally high (1800 miles/qt) but is now
down to about 3300 miles/qt. I've had Mobil 1 in since about 7500 miles,
and change it about every 22,000.
