A while ago I showed my dog-eared copy of Ted Nelson's doublebook "Computer
Lib / Dream Machines" to some up&coming computer types (not to say hackers).
They'd never heard of it before. Most found it entertaining. It describes
an art & culture of computing that existed about 10 years ago, but
disappeared after the popularization of the microcomputer.
Does anyone know any contemporary book that can take its place?
