I have decided to use a Vic 20 (or maybe a C64) as a
controller, running a dedicated program. The Vic is
cheap enough now a days, but the Datasette seems out
of line in cost, especially for backing up one program.

Is there a cheap way to adapt the Vic to an ordinary
recorder?

Better yet, is there a cheap way to add some eprom where
I could put the dedicated program?
