San Diego Lines: 10 I've heard several people grumbling about Sears -- they pressure you into filling out an application, then they reject you rudely. This happened to me a few years ago. I stumbled onto a credit "feature:" I requested the reasons for rejection (provision of Fair Credit Reporting Act). They sent some vague form; I wrote back and said the information wasn't specific enough -- like, how much did they THINK I earned, what were my estimated liabilities, what was an acceptable ratio. They sent me the card!
