A question for the supporters of Gary Hart and Jesse Jackson out there:

Let's assume the following scenario: Mondale and Hart emerge from the
primaries still in a neck-and-neck position, or perhaps with Mondale a
bit ahead but short of a clear victory. Jackson arrives in San
Francisco in a strong #3 position, commanding enough delegates to swing
the nomination either way.

Do you think that a Hart/Jackson ticket would be (a) possible or (b)
desirable? Would the "Yuppies" (Ghod, but I hate that word!)
represented by Hart and the minority/progressive coalition represented
by Jackson be able to work together? What do you think of the strength
of such a ticket against Reagan in November?

I'm interested in people's opinions on this possibility (although I
must admit that I'm not eager to read the flames of those who support
neither Hart nor Jackson).
