I personally thought the made-for-tv version was but a shadow of the
original. Treat Williams does a reasonable job, but after watching Brando
all else pales in comparison. Ann Margaret portrayed a much stronger
character than Vivian Leigh did - I think I found Leigh's role more
believable.

I thought Brando's portrayal of Stanley K really dominated the original,
and that is what impressed me the most. What impressed me the most about
the remake was the excellent job done simulating rain in Louisiana.
