My supermarket gripes:

Did you ever notice that when perishable items are on sale, it's because
the expiration date has passed?

Did you know that eggs are dated *4 weeks* after they're packed?

Know what a "Special Today" sticker on a package of ground beef means? 
They take the old, graying meat, turn it over to expose a redder side,
rewrap it, and slap on the sticker.  Without dropping the price.  (I
have to admit that I haven't caught them changing the date.  Yet.)

Why do some crackers (Wheat Thins) cost more per pound than some meat
(round steak)?
