Does anyone have any experience with the Hy-Gain HF antennas? I'm
torn between getting the Explorer 14 (~ $300) or going whole-hog on
the TH7DX (~ $450).

I like the broad-bandedness of both of these, and like the idea of the
40m option on the Explorer 14. Is it simply a matter of "Ya gets what
ya pays fer" or is there a clear choice I'm not aware of yet?

At the moment, these two have been the most highly recommended. But I
am not opposed to considering other models (TH5), or other manufacturers.

I should have thought of asking the net earlier; I need (want) to decide
by 3-22 or 3-23 (a week).

Any information, pro or con, will be appreciated.

				Thanks in advance,
