Yes, I saw the Last Unicorn.  Yes, it was adapted from Peter
Beagle's book.  It was passable.  Japanese animation, reasonable
characterization, music by America.  Except for the fact that the
Red Bull looked more like a big red pig with horns, it was pretty
good.  I'd say, see it if you get the chance.  The book is also a
favorite of mine, and I wasn't too disappointed.  Please remember,
however, that it is a kid's movie, so don't expect too much
(especially from Shmendrick).
