Lines: 34 eat this line and be happy o strange beastie in the system From what I rember of the history that I took quite a few years ago now the canadians never attempted to wipe out the Native Indians unlike the American s (people of the U.S.of A. ). We mearly put them into reservations and stole th- ier land. The Americand delibertly(sp) did things like giving the Indians blankets which had belonged to people who died of smallpox. Even then it was known that this was a way to spread smallpox, and that such articles should be burnt. They ( the Americans) also tried to exterminate all of the buffalo since the indian depended on it for food. As for Mexico, I would suggest that someone from one of the native groups go over to Spain and claim all the land in the name of the Indian ruler and Gods. Then they should rape all the women and enslave all the men and generaly behave like right bastards for a while -). In closing I had better state that I don't consider the present admin- istration to be at fault, but I think that people should be prepared to fix the mistakes of thier fore-fathers Rich Johnson y7106 Dalhousie University Halifax N.S. PS: In Canada there have already been quite a few cases fought by the Indians about the loss of thier lands, and they are collecting quite a lot of comenpensation. Also these are my own thoughts and do not have anything to do with Dalhousie University.
