Hail, Zorkers!!!   I need some hints (HINTS, not spoilers) regarding the
following areas:


 1.  Getting past the @#%^*&$ Cyclops.
 2.  Getting into the drafty room.
 3.  Closing the book.
 4.  Avoiding the you-know-what after finding the scarab.



Also:

 5.  Is the canary good for anything?
 6.  What is the significance of being dead, but not resurrected?
 7.  What about the rusty knife?
