I think its time for technology, engineering, industry, and yes, even the military, to catch up!!!! Lets build the space station. A space station will provide a lot more benifit to pure science (as a base for exploration, 0 G lab, etc) than more pure scientific exploration will provide to the other camps I have mentioned.
