Phila., Pa. Lines: 21 I had a Turkish classmate in graduate school, whose name was Zeki Tufekcioglu. Literally translated, it means "Smart Son of a Gunsmith". Since We have gone into foreign names now; I do have an amusing instance of this. When I was in School in Calcutta, we had a student by the name of Khan in our class (as in Wrath of Khan). Now in the language in use by the residents of Calcutta (Bengali) , Khan - ki Chelle was slang for "Son of a whore". Unfortunately when mixing Bengali and Hindi (The 'Official' language of India) Khan - ki Chelle could be interpreted as "Son of Khan". Well, you can guess what most of the Students called this poor unfortunate. After tolerating this for a year, he went to court and had his name officially changed to something innocuous. Kids can be so cruel. -- Binayak Banerjee {allegra | astrovax | bpa | burdvax}!sjuvax!bbanerje
