Yeh, Stevie Ray kicks butt. He played the Keystone clubs here in the Bay
Area last summer and tore them apart. I saw him in Palo Alto and was
impressed. (I've always loved hard electric blues.)

He plays guitar on David Bowie's last album, "Let's Dance", and I
believe he makes the album. He's the brother of Jimmie Vaughn of
the Fabulous Thunderbirds, or so I've heard several times. His
bass player in Double Trouble is the same bassist who played with
Johnny Winters on his first few albums back in the 60's.

Can't hold those Texas blues boys down. Long live Freddie King!!!

PS: Any of you Chicago-bound folks ever here the Skid City Blues Band?
They've played the Chi-metro area for years. Or Big Twist and the
Mellow Fellows? I haven't heard either of them on the West Coast
but I know from mutual friends that they're still alive and doin'
    the thing back there.
