OK. If smokers suffer from withdrawal symptoms, let them mainline nicotine,
or snort it a la cocaine, or *ANYTHING* to keep them from fouling the air
around them. (If snorting it makes their noses rot off, all the better, since
maybe cosmetic effects will give them some incentive to quit.) If they need
to do something with their hands, they can keep some twine in their pockets
and play Cat's Cradle. (If they're on the road, they don't need to be doing
anything with their hands other than driving anyway.)
