I called Microsoft once to try to BUY some manuals and they essentially told me to go jump in a lake -- they told me to call the manufacturer of my system (DEC). At that time, DEC had not published ANY useful documentation on MS-DOS. I don't understand why Microsoft didn't want to sell me the manuals. I had the order numbers (these are "generic" MS-DOS manuals). Fortunately, DEC now publishes a reasonably complete set of internal documentation on the Rainbow and its version of MS-DOS (although the price is, typically, high... around $200). I don't have the order numbers in front of me but if anyone wants them I can look it up. --------
