Several years ago, I heard over the radio a strange news report.
The report stated that a sick zoo chimpanzee was given a human blood
transfusion.  The blood was needed for a  surgical operation. 
At that time I thought that the report could not be serious.

Does anybody know if such a transfusion is possible?
