"An Informal Biography of Scrooge McDuck" is real, although it may be
hard to find. I have a copy packed away somewhere. I remember it as being a
very small book, and stapled rather than any fancier binding (paper covers).
The cover illustration is a picture of Scrooge McDuck without a face -- that is,
it's a picture of a hat, a pair of glasses, etc. -- everything except the duck.
They couldn't use an image of Scrooge himself, because the rights to the
character belong to Disney Studios, who refused to allow it to be used.
I believe that the book was published by the small publishing house that
Chalker is part owner of (somebody help me out here -- I don't remember the
name -- I think it's either Mirage Press or Advent Press), and I have no idea
whether it's still in print.
