Has anyone recently filled out an Illinois tax form as a Part-Year resident?
If so, I've got a question:
I took out an IRA for 1983, and am wondering where the opportunity to deduct
it lies on Schedule NR. I have talked with the IL Dept. of Revenue, but they
just tell me, "It's (magically) deducted". They can't explain to me where
it is deducted. It seems to me that I should deduct it under "Adjustments
to Income" in Part II of the form. Can anyone solve this puzzle? Am I
missing something obvious?
