I had managed to get pregnant while nursing and using birth control only 6 months after delivery of my first child. Admittedly, the form of birth control that I was using was not considered a very effective form but this was because my doctor recommended against most of the other types (either because of their risk factor to the mother or because they might cause a problem with nursing). By the way, I used straight demand feeding and my son still required a night feeding until he was seven or eight months old. Nancy L. Holforty AT&T Bell Laboratories - Naperville
