Since so many of you (about 20) asked for any information I got about this,
I've decide to reply over the net. Here are two responses I got to the Big
Question:

==========================================================================

Frank Zappa has a song out called something like
"Son of Mr. Green Jeans". He is not, of course, the
son of the actor.

Kenton Lee
Bell Labs

There is a book that just came out called "Rumors" --- this is in
there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

No, Frank Zappa's father is Francis ... Zappa Sr. The rumor was
started when Zappa cut a song entitled "Son of Mr. Green Genes",
a play on words. It wasn't intended to be autobiographical.

	Jeff Bowles
	Lisle, IL

Sounds like an amazing piece of nonsense to me.
The photographs I have seen of Padrone Zappa resemble our dear
old Mr Grean Jeans not in the slightest.

Cheers, Oscar Nierstrasz

Well, there you have it... Imagine My Chagrin! Glad the truth did out.
Thanks very much for all your responses... the net really is a wonderful
tool (TOOL, I SAY, TOOL, NOT FOOL, BOY!).
