One thing that a lot of people are interested in is gas mileage, yet I don't
recall seeing much discussion on what their cars *really* get. So how 'bout
it? What kind of mileage does *your* car get? PLEASE - only those of you
that have actually measured the mileage! No EPA estimates, and no "I get
*about* 50 mpg!" Lets have the cold hard facts!!!

I'll start things off with:

1979 Jeep CJ-7, 304 cid (5 liters) v-8 engine. All time low: 6 mpg, all time
high: 15 mpg, 4 year average: 12 mpg.

1984 Pontiac 6000 STE, 2.8 liter v-6 engine. First tank: 18 mpg.

Most of my driving comes from the 5 miles to and from work in the northern
Illinois climate (in the winter time, the car barely gets off the choke when I
get to work).
