But Ohr Someach and Neve Yerushalayim both prefer university graduates with a proven record of intellectual excellence. They prefer people who can learn the intricacies and the techniques of Jewish scholarship rapidly. People with psychological, personality or adjustment problems can find other organizations that will teach them Jewish observance at a less intellectual level. Ohr Someach and Neve Yerushalayim seek exactly those people who would react most violently against pressure and who would be most difficult to "brainwash." While these educational institutions are not political per se, they are pro-Israel and receive support from the government of the State of Israel. For more information, I suggest calling the Jewish Learning Exchange at (800) 431-2272, (914) 425-1370, or (416) 787-1681.
