Does anyone have any comments concerning the use of any of the
driver to passenger intercom units available?
I think that having one of these would make my wife a little more
interested in taking longer trips with me. No matter how easy it
looks on CHiPs, carrying on a conversation over the wind noise is not
an easy task (maybe a full fairing'ed touring bike isn't so bad, but
I don't have such a luxury).
My thoughts on a desired feature list:
     vox operation
mike/speaker to be (semi) permanently mounted to helmet
aux audio input from a walkman type cassette or fm
ability to connect with my 2 meter fm 'talkie (or to a CB for those
          so inclined)
LOW PRICE (always plays a part doesn't it)

As a lowest possible price option, are the plastic pipe type of intercoms
(sold by J.C.Whitney and others) worth their $10 or so price?

Or maybe a do it yourself. Let's see, a stereo amp ic, couple of plugs,
jacks, handfull of R's and C's, wires, etc.......

Thanks,
