Message-ID: <350@denelcor.UUCP> Date: Thu, 8-Mar-84 03:34:04 EST Article-I.D.: denelcor.350 Posted: Thu Mar 8 03:34:04 1984 Date-Received: Sat, 10-Mar-84 08:03:26 EST Organization: Denelcor, Aurora, CO Lines: 15 We have used dump/restore to move our /usr filesystem from an rm05 (hp0h) to an ra81 (ra0f). The finished filesystem seemed to be ok, but a lot of ucb commands were missing. It turns out that the restore only restored one link for each file in /usr/ucb, and failed to restore any other links (these are ordinary links, not symbolic). Has anyone seen this elsewhere? What did we (it) do wrong? We are running 4.2 on a VAX750. Thanks for any solutions. -- Lyle McElhaney (hao,brl-bmd,nbires,csu-cs,scgvaxd)!denelcor!lmc
