net.graphics - David Bryant (djb@cbosgd.UUCP)

For the most part, net.graphics has been net.graphics-wanted these past two
weeks, although there was some general traffic. Better luck next time...

HELP WANTED DEPARTMENT:
     * At UniFORUM in January, there was a talk by Christos Tountas from
Graphics Information Systems Tech. Inc. about DAPS and GSDL: A
procedural approach to Graphics... Anyone with information on this
talk please contact Ralph Shaw, (ras@rayssd.UUCP)
     * Randolph Fritz (rf@wu1.UUCP) would like some pointers to graphics
	image compression techniques.
     * Request for suggestions on computer aids for creating slides:
	1) Are we better off putting money into a nice piece of hardware to
tie to our existing VAX/VMS systems, or should we be looking at
	   standalone, complete packages.
	2) What nice pieces of hardware/software do folk
	   have experience with? Any recommendations/warnings?
	3) Hardcopy?
Contact Mark Johnson (markj@alberta.UUCP) if you can help.
     * Shang Chyou (shangc@azure) is interested in pointers on curve
	fitting algorithms
     * MR Saltzman (mrs@pyuxnn.UUCP) needs a TERMCAP entry for the Tektronix
4105 in "native mode" (not vt100 or vt52 emulation mode).
     * Questions from Vidar Sorensenon (vidar@kvvax4.UUCP) UNIX System
III graphics package, particularly with respect to bug fixes, and
on using a HP7475 color plotter for output.
     * Does anyone out there have experience with Intelligent Systems Co.'s
VHR19 Color Graphics Terminal? Also, any experience with ISC's other
products and/or services would be appreciated. If so, contact
	Riedar Bornholdt (reidar@cucard.UUCP)

[As always, please contact any of the petitioners if you can help, or
drop me a line and I'll forward it along to the appropriate parties. - djb]
