One memorable W. C. Fields joke was a visual one, in (I think) The
Barber - Fields was sitting on the front step of his shop honing his
straight razor, and to test the edge he would run it vertically
downward along the end of his tongue.  Still makes my guts crawl to
think of it.  Later, he is shaving a man and says "is that a mole?"
The man replies, "yes, I've had it all my life," whereupon Fields
replies, "not any more you don't."
