I'm paying for this sites mail and news costs from my own limited
research money, and rather wish that the whole class of "net"
groups were partitioned into those of "technical" content and
the others. We dial out to receive news, and are somewhat at the
mercy of our neighbour as to what newsgroups get delivered.
We get more than we would really need because it's so fiddly getting
"them" to keep track of what we want, -- adminstrative nuisance for
them and there are limits on how long the system control lines
can become. I can Unsubscribe to newsgroups easily enough,
but still get to pay the bills for them being shipped here.

Herewith a plea for some thought to be given to this in future
releases of news code, and in newsgroup naming strategies.
