('cause cbosgd!mark says I should)

A few months ago when I was interviewing in the city of Pittsfield, Mass., I
also encountered the term 'Grinder -
a Meal in Itself!' on every little
food shop. No pictures, no explanations
offered. When I got back to my hotel, I
asked the obvious question and found out
they were what I (a Coloradan/Californian)
called a "submarine". The receptionist
at the hotel was quite amused that I
didn't know but had to go into a
detailed description as she had no other
references for it.
