Last summer, we put a deck over their space so I pulled them up (that was in late June), stored them in a net bag until September, and planted them in the planter boxes on the deck. The soil mix was about 1/3 steer manure and 2/3 potting soil. The boxes have a grating bottom so I think the drainage is adequate. The daffodils all came up about 2 inches and quit growing. The tulips, crocuses, and irises in the same box all look great. Everyone else's daffodils have bloomed so it is not the weather. Anyone have an idea as to what happened? Will they bloom next year or should I but new bulbs?
