Ernie - Thanks for your note saying that quotes are not needed around filenames
in FTP command lines sent from UNIX unless there is a SPACE in the filename.
Sure enough; I tried it without the quotes and it worked fine on Simtel20.
You are also right about where I got into the habit of using quotes.  I got it
from FTPing from Mit-mc, which does have two-part filenames with the parts
separated by a space.
