Message-ID: <299@tjalk.UUCP> Date: Fri, 24-Feb-84 11:37:58 EST Article-I.D.: tjalk.299 Posted: Fri Feb 24 11:37:58 1984 Date-Received: Sun, 26-Feb-84 00:27:30 EST Organization: VU Informatica, Amsterdam Lines: 25 We acquired a tape unit today, that is driven by an Emulex TM11 compatible formatter ( or controller as we would say in the days of the PDP 11). It seems to work OK, but I noticed one "minor" bug. When given the command 'mt fsf 1' it is winding along happily for some time and then it happens: te0: lost interrupt trap type 2, code = 0, pc = 80000d99 panic trap . . . . DOWN he goes. I had a quick look at the driver and noticed some funny timeout business. That is probably the source of the trouble but before I spent time looking at it, has any one noticed this before, or better yet fixed the bug? All replies by mail will be gratefully accepted, especially those containing a fix. -- Hans van Staveren, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam ..!mcvax!vu44!tjalk!sater
