<> I've seen a few requests lately for sources of vacuum (receiving)
tubes. I did a reasonably extensive search last fall for sources for
audio uses, and found one company I'm quite happy with. They have low
prices, fast delivery, a large stock list, and low prices. They have
Sylvania/Phillips tubes, and probably others, and also semiconductors.
This company is Transleteronic Inc., 1365 39th St., Brooklyn, NY,
11218. Two typical prices are 6L6GC $5.25; 12AX7A $2.64.
Another company (which I haven't bought tubes from) is ETCO
Electronics, North Country Shopping Center, Plattsburgh, NY, 12901.
They say they have a very large tube inventory, and publish a large
list.
