I am happy to say that I am still using my DIGITAL GROUP system that I purchased 1977. I use it for my personal home accounting needs as well as a learning aid for my four year old son. In addition, since I teach part time at a local University, I use the system to keep track of my students grades. The current configuration of my DIGITAL GROUP system is: Z80 CPU running at 2.5 MHz. (DG CPU board) 32K of static RAM (2102 type) (4-8K DG memory boards) TVC-64 Video display board (DG video board) Phi-Deck controller board (DG controller board) Three Phi-Deck digital tape drives Four parallel I/O ports (DG I/O board) One RS-232 serial port (custom board) In addition, I have a fully custom designed system that is software compatible with all of DIGITAL GROUPs software. In fact, at this time I am operating with the Phi-Deck tape drives. My custom system has the following configuration: Z80 CPU operating at 2.5 or 4.0 MHz. (selectable) 64K memory (dynamic) Four parallel I/O ports 64 character x 16 line video driver Two RS-232 serial I/O ports Real-time-clock/calendar Multiple BOOT and UTILITY ROM board Phi-Deck driver interface 8" Floppy Disk interface (being installed) I am currently operating under HI-PHI-II a modified version of DIGITAL GROUPS PHIMON operating system. I am currently running BUSINESS BASIC 1 and 2 as well as OPUS II and CONVERS. Along with the above software, I have most of DIGITAL GROUPs assemblers, disassemblers, text editors, and games. I will be adding CPM to my system as soon as I get the disk interface installed. If anyone else out there in netland is currently using any DIGITAL GROUP hardware and would like to exchange informa- tion, please contact me, either through the net or directly at one of these addresses or phone numbers: Jack E.
