Citing the deficit (for which the height of Congress is to blame), like citing the stock market, is a sure sign of economic illiteracy. ---------- I'm at a loss as to what "the height of Congress" is supposed to convey. /* ---------- */ "the height of Congress" obviously refers to the fact that the Capitol building is the second tallest structure in Washington (as I'm sure everyone knows, the Washington Monument is the tallest, and by law no one can build anything in the city taller than the Capitol). I believe that the person who posted the original article was saying that if the Capitol were taller than the Washington Monument, the deficit would disappear.
