Beth Mazur would like to know the name of
the film starring George C. Scott that
dealt with the making of porno films.
That was HARD CORE, made in, I think,
1975, written and directed by Paul Schrader.
An interesting aside: Schrader came from a
religously restrictive home in Michigan and
did not see a movie until he was eighteen years
old, when he went west, ostensibly to study
theology, though by his own admission he
spent more time going to movies than studying.
He also did AMERICAN GIGOLO and is best known
for the screenplay he did for Martin Scorcese's
TAXI DRIVER.
