The Swedes have planned to use paved highways as dispersed runways.
Preparing for this, they built revetments along the highways, large
enough to hold a fighter.  The SAAB Viggen has thrust reversers
designed to let the jet land and BACK into the revetment area, ready
to scramble for the next mission.
