Has anyone established that Weird Al did indeed copyright his parody lyrics? Many people who parody others' songs prefer to avoid the legal hassles involved and leave their own names out of the writing credits. (Allan Sherman, when satirizing a popular song, always gave all the composing credits to the original writers - but when the subject of the parody was in the public domain, he credited himself and his arranger, Lou Busch.)
