Sunnyvale, Ca. Lines: 24 [Living sacrifice to assuage the gods of first lines . . .] This cowboy, who happened to be a ventriloquist, was riding the range when he spotted an old Indian who was tending a flock of sheep, and decided to have some fun with him. After passing the typical opening conversation, the cowboy told the Indian that the Indian's horse could talk. The Indian, of course insisted that it could not. The cowboy, of course, made the horse "talk", saying "Feed me, feed me." The Indian, of course was amazed. The cowboy then observed that the Indian's dog could talk too. The Indian again denied it, and again, the cowboy had the dog "say" "Let's go play". Then, really rolling, the cowboy asked the Indian if he knew that his sheep could talk too. The Indian frowned and answered, "Sheep talk, but sheep lie!" FROM: Brian G.
