If this is a duplicate, I appologize. From: Gary Spahn - KA9MQI - AT&Tcp - Indpls, IN HELP!!! I'm working on an old National NCX-5 Transceiver for a new ham. He just picked it up at a local hamfest. It came with a partial manual, but no schematic. Unfortunately, it had been "CBed" and someone has done a bit of "work" on it. So far I have found the coils have been "diddle-sticked" and a 100K resistor in the transmit driver cathode. I still can't get sufficient drive and the receiver sensitivity should be better. Any help will be appreciated. I understand that the NCX-3, a three band version, might be similar. Please help me get this new ham on the air.
