Secretary of State Norma Paulus had a noisy showdown with a high-ranking member of Lyndon LaRouche's campaign staff. Why? After spending some $4000 to examine newspapers nationwide to determine which candidates were important enough to include in the Oregon primary, her office found no mention of Mr. LaRouche anywhere. Hence, Mr. LaRouche will not be appearing on the ballot here in Oregon. It appears that Mr. LaRouche's biggest exposure has been right here on net.politics. So much for my theories about the political potency of the net. ---- Nathan Meyers {hplabs,allegra!harpo}!hp-pcd!nathanm
