(cost = $49.00 at christmas time) my original intent was to use it for math drills with my son. but i found out that the shack also sells a terminal program called "compac" for $29.00 so i thought i would give it a try. it is a simple 'dumb terminal' program but is really quite good. it can run at 110, 300, or 1200 baud. i tried all three and they worked flawlessly. also it has a feature to store all incoming info so you can look back at was has already scrolled off the screen. this feature stores about 2 pages with the built in 4k ram and up to about 20 pages if you have the additional 16k ram pack. so has a cheap portable terminal i think it is great !! but i can't get my kid to let me borrow it !!!!!! steve lorenz at&t technologies montgomery works ihnp4!mgweed!spl
