Mike,
	Yes. I for one have tried to restor files from dump tapes that were
created on an active file system. I can conclusively say that you are at best
asking for a real mess not to mention some slightly upset users.

	Your method, though, is perfectly fine since you created the dump on
a quiet file system (ie. single user).
