I thought it was obvious. Read Larry Niven's "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex" for an explanation. 2) How did he get his powers back? Lois moved that green crystal before Supes went into the machine. The fact that that crystal was not in place changed the effect of the machine so that the power loss was reversable. 3) Why is he hurt when the Kryptonian bad guys throw various objects (particularly the bus) at him. If I recall my comic books correctly these objects could only hurt him if they were made from Kryptonian materials You are correct. 4) Why didnt Superman or some earthling think of defeating the bad guys by exposing them to Kryptonite? For the same reason that throwing a bus at Superman hurts him and the Kryptonians developed new powers whenever they needed them: the scriptwriters don't give a damn about logic or consistency. The opinions expressed are my own and not necessarily those of any sane person. Scott McEwan pur-ee!uiucdcs!mcewan
