   A while back, my father was working for a
company that had won a government contract to
supply software for some government agency.  As
part of this job, he had to work in government
buildings and liason with the bureaucrats there.
The bureaucrats were always coming up with
brilliant ?:-)? ideas for saving time, space and
money.  One day, one of these managers mentioned
to my father that he had come up with a great way
of saving space.  "Why", he asked, "don't we store
the blank punch cards on disk, and get rid of all
those boxes?"
