Amport Naperville, IL. My god! What did I miss by not watching the Grammy Awards?! Did Berry, Thoro- good, and Vaughan (or any subset thereof) *play* together? Oh, wail, wail, wail! Are there any other Stevie Ray Vaughan fanatics out there in netland? SRV is one fantastic guitar player. What's strange is that last October, I heard his song "Pride and Joy" twice on WAAF (Worcester, MA) and that convinced me to get his first album when it came out. However, since then, I have yet to hear any of his stuff on the radio. WAAF did recently mention, though, that he's at work on a second album that should be out this summer. He also played as opening act for the Moody Blues (at least in Worcester) last fall. Unfortunately, I hadn't heard that he was doing that until the day of the concert, so I missed it. Considering how poor the reviews were on that concert, SRV probably showed up the Moodies. Does anyone know if he has done any other recordings (ie. small labels) besides TEXAS FLOOD? Or if he has played back-up for anyone else? Considering that the record blurbs call him "the legendary Texas guitarist", he must have had *some* previous history. --- jayembee (Jerry Boyajian, DEC Maynard) UUCP: (decvax!decwrl!rhea!akov68!boyajian) ARPA: (decwrl!rhea!akov68!boyajian@Shasta)
