In Star Trek III don't be suprised if J.T. Kirk has an affair with Saavik. If one watches the movie very carefully you can see that Saavik is not a full breed Vulcan. Also Spock comes back as a wizard (Vulcan Style). The movie should be realased in late summer/early fall . NO NO NO. Saavik is a half-Vulcan, half-Romulan. This point is made in the novelization taken from the script. How did they do it? Male romulan gives drugs to female vulcan to make her receptive, then commits rape. Of course, normal Vulcans would NOT be comfortable around Saavik, even though they claim to have no emotions, since normal Vulcans merely SUPPRESS emotions. Also, they have an historically demonstrated distaste for "halfbreeds" and only Spock would be likely to accept her. Kirk (shatner, actually) is getting too old to fit the MBAssh*le view of what "the public" will identify with, for a romantic figure. Since the MBAssh*les run the studios, while Kirk may be the romantic figure in this one, expect the next one to have someone else.
