Lines: 17 Look, all you keyword news lovers: most everybody agrees that keyword news would be an interesting experiment at worst, and could be wonderful at best. But instead of periodically flaming in new.news.* about newsgroup debates, why don't you write some code? It's all very well to criticize the current system, when it's somebody else who has written the code and somebody else who maintains it. But until you write some new code and put it into operation somewhere, your complaints are just sparrow farts. The current system works. The vaguely proposed systems don't even exist. Put up or shut up. [ P.S. This should not be taken as disapproval for anyone's attempts to design a keyword news system. That, at least, is a serious effort. What I'm complaining about is the arm-chair attitude that it would take but a mere thought to transform the whole net into Paradise. ] Here's to more vitriol in net.flame!
