My roomate has a Nak LX-3 and has found that the SONY UCX-S sounds
best. We've tried MAXELL, TDK, BASF, and DENON. I used to be an avid
DENON DX-3 user until they changed their formulation. It no longer
sounds good in my deck (H/K 400XM with an outboard dbx 224). (poor
frequency response and much distortion!) Now I use the SONY UCX-S
too. You can get them fairly cheap at TAPE WORLD (see the classifieds
in either Hi Fidelity or Stereo Review ~$2.80 for a C-90)
