I have been looking for a true compiled vs. interpreted C development
for my Apple ][e system. I have tried a friend's Aztec C system. While I
am impressed with it's completeness, my rough benchmarks indicate
that speedwise it is in the class of Apple Basic. I would really like
a compiled version to run some things fast, like graphics.
Does anyone know if Aztec (Manx) is coming out with a true compiler??
I just saw an ad in March '84 A+ mag (p 157) for "Thunder C" which
claims to be a native mode compiler. Any experience out there with it??
Please reply directly or by mail to me below. However, I think there may
be sufficient interest to blast your views to all of us frustrated
long time C programmers on the net. Thanks much.
