It is much more effective to set a good example, than to try to get the LAST WORD. Every response is likely to spawn atleast 1 more and it seems doubtful to me whether it will really deter anyone. It just isn't the nature of argument for the parti- cipants to be that obliging. If you really don't care about subsequent responses, look at the headers and delete them without reading them.
