Tank is a white hats vs. black hats film. The hero is Master Sgt. Zak
played by James Garner. The evil villain is a small town evil southern
sheriff. If you like James Garner and his tough good man to have around
when the chips are down image as portrayed in the Rockford Files then you
won't find this film too bad. The problem is that the sadistic sheriff is a
bit too realistic, while the good guys are a bit too Polyanish for my
tastes. The film is filled with lots of witticsims -) like "shit rolls down
hill" that give the impression it was written by a 10 year old. Given the
poor selection of films in the Holmdel area, I know I could have done
worse, but then I could have stayed home.
