In reference to Amb2c.231 !! I was glad someone sauteed the card and
sent it back to them !

I had once (long ago) applied very seriously for a Sears card. I have
had very respectable credit lines on my MC and Visa cards but Sears
didn't think that was good enough for them. Too bad for them I thought !
I now go to Sears only to fill out more application forms in which I
don't mention my income nor my credit references and since they are
always having a promotion I always collect. So far I have got:
         1) numerous Pen watches,
         2) few sets of steak knives,
         3) umbrellas,
         4) a picnic jug and tumbler set,
         5) free meals at McDonalds,
         6) imitation jewelry.

I think their not giving me a credit card is really paying off !!
