I would like to vote for a mail list where everyone knew who
was going to be reading/responding. The notion of a support group
almost always entails a confidentiality among the group. I can imagine
many questions and issues which would center around one's work environment.
It would be quite difficult to raise these issues if one could not be
relatively assured that one's comments/questions would not negatively
affect one's career. Knowing all of the people here who read net.women[.only],
a mailing list where there is no agreement of confidentiality would be of
little use.
