Cross was the young guy who played Abrahams in the movie. The older gentleman is Charles Sholtz, the American sprinter who won two golds. If you remember the movie, he spoke briefly to Liddel before the final race, telling him he admired him for sticking to his principals, then told his (Sholtz) teammate to look out for Liddel.
