My dog scratches himself and knaws on himself and it DRIVES ME
CRAZY. He started this morning about 4:30 and it woke me up from a sound
sleep. In Texas, I wouldn't have really thought about it -- I would have
thought it fleas or ant bites. But this is Colorado. Fleas don't exist
here, especially in the winter. I'm wondering if it's possible that he
has allergies. Has anyone had experience with this?

For background information, my dog is a 7 month old lab/golden
mix. I feed him Science Diet dry food, Science Diet canned, KalKan
canned food, rawhides and milkbone type treats. He also eats anything
he can find including cat turds and leftover garbage. I've been including
powered vitamin C with his breakfast and different oils with his dinner.
His coat looks great and he loves to swim.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
