I am interrested in buying a VHS video tape recorder and would
appreciate any recommendations. I know very little about video
but I want the following features:

Very good to excellent record/playback resolution
	Stereo sound

I own an RCA 25" so called monitor (4.2MHz) so higher video clarity is
a must. I am also an audio purist so stereo sound is desired.
I know that when you buy the latter feature you also get a flock of
other features but they are truly unimportant. What I am concerned
about is good reliability with the desired features.

One other question, has the industry settled on the 1.3 and 1.7 MHz
carrier frequencies with Dolby B noise reduction for the stereo format?

If people have had good luck with a specific retailer I would appreciate
this information also. Please reply by email. As they say...
