Sorry, Evelyn, but "scientism" is one of those fringe cultist groups.
I vaguely recall it being used by the Dianetics (tm) people, along with
Scientology (tm).

A less disreputable word would be "Science-ism" since it is currently
unstolen by the kooks.

By the way, did my letter to you ever arrive, or is mail just stuck
in the Berkeley 5-month holding pattern?
