All were two-game, total-goals series. Minnesota-Duluth beat Clarkson (won first game, lost second) RPI lost to North Dakota MIchigan State and BBowling Green beat BOston College/Univ. Semifinals will pit Duluth v. North Dakota on Thursday and Bowling Green against Mich.State on Friday. Final and consolation game Saturday. In recent years, the winner of Thursday's game has almost always won the final, and I will take the winner of Duluth/NoDak (I go for Duluth) against the CCHA pushover that make sit through. What is interesting is the complete eclipse of the ECAC teams. RPI are a reasonable team, and had home ice over NOrth Dakota. I would also have expected at least one of the CCHA teams to lose. North Dakota have won twice in the last four years, but Duluth are HOT. Either way, I don't see the WCHA domination being broken. And of course, the Badgers will be back next year to continue their alternate year championship string!!
