I have a 83 NISSAN Pulsar with power steering, this is a front-wheel
drive car. The only feature that I disaproved of when I bought it was
the power steering. I am considering removing the power steering unit
if practical. There is a power steering fluid reservoir sitting on top
of a belt driven pump, with two lines (resembling brake lines) running
into the rack and pinion housing from the pump.
What would happen if I just cut the power steering belt?
Could the entire unit be removed, how, with what precautions?

	Respond by mail please, Thanks.
