The lint(1) documentation alleges that putting /* NOSTRICT */ in front
of an expression suppresses strict type checking within said expression.
In fact, I know of no version of lint which implements /* NOSTRICT */ at
all.  The V7 and 4.[12]BSD versions ignore it completely.  Does anybody
have a lint that actually implements it?  (I don't have a System N handy
to check.)
