On this side of the puddle, in England, every school must by law hold an
act of religious ( normally Christian) worship every day. We don't seem
to have nearly as many perverters of the Christian religion as there
seem to be in the USA. I do not know if the second observation is a
result of the first. 

A number of American friends of mine who live in England tell me that
there is much more tolerance of all religions in this country. 

These issues are only a problem if you make them one.

I am not a Christian (but I think that true Christianity is a wonderful
religion which all too few people practice).
