Or does it also take a scroll of enchantment to make the item beneficial to keep around? 2) Is there any simple way of determining the dice rolls for various weapons when thrown? I can get the wielded dice roll simply by identifying the weapon, but I'm not sure how to differentiate between, say an arrow when wielded, thrown by itself, or thrown from a short or long bow. Two minor(?!) problems - I only have access to the compiled executable form of the code, and the version of rogue is non-standard (at least I haven't seen anything like it described in this group - there are many similarities, but many differences as well. For instance, there are 22 different potions and 26 different scrolls! Also, Rust monsters continue to hit (and take hit points) even after one's armor is shot. I'm pretty sure it is not one of the *standard* super-rogues - my best guess is that it's a local hybrid.) Thanks in advance for any aid. -- Jim ..!houxm!hou2b!sims
