We have been running 4.1 BSD on our VAX 11/750. We bought our
UNIX (binaries only) from mt Xinu in Berkeley.

mt Xinu has the worst response of any vendor I have ever
dealt with. Since we have binaries only, there are certain
things we just can't do, and for which we have to turn to
mt Xinu. We might as well try to work on the binaries directly,
as we'd probably get results faster than mt Xinu does with
access to the source. They're just unbelievably unprofessional.

If we could find a vendor who sold the binaries (only) but who
wasn't so shoddy in terms of response in the few inevitable cases
where interaction was needed, we'd be quite happy. At this point
I'm almost ready to pay the higher fee to get the source distribution,
although it involves tens of thousands more dollars.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a more reasonable
place to buy 4.2BSD binaries? Or should we get the source?
