I grew-up in New York City, and I never drink anything except Coke or
Club Soda, so I never had the soda vs. pop problem. However, when my
children were very young, they really liked orange soda. One day we
went to a restaurant for lunch, and I ordered each of them an "orange
soda". The waitress brought them orange soda (pop) with a scoop of
vanilla ice cream in it (yuck).
