Gohd, I remember people trying to *use* that `stone-age' lisp on the
Cory Hall 11/70 while I was part of the staff there. I particularly
remember there was this really insane student who wanted to re-write
the thing for speed, rather than portability. He was going to hack the
commonly used portions from lisp into macro-11 (which the lower levels
were already written in). But then, he was also working part time for
CDC as a NOS and NOS/BE hacker...
