Has anyone here ever (when they were younger, or NOW) been
so shy with the opposite (I mean appropriate) sex that it
seems to be a real problem? I would appreciate hearing from
people who have experienced this and how they got out of it.
I already saw the 'Dear shy' letter a couple of weeks ago...
It was well intended, but it sounds like something your
	mother would tell you.
I'm looking for 'How I got out of that rut' letters. I have
no trouble at all making female friends, in fact I enjoy
their company and women like me a lot, generally; however,
when the idea of 'dating' comes into my head I fall apart.
Making friends first and dating later is the best, I think,
but that can really be disastrous. Friendships have 'platonic
inertia', if you will, that is hard to overcome. Still, I would
like to hear from wise old souls about these feelings
(UN*X mail, please, unless it's general discussion).
