Message-ID: <388@ihuxm.UUCP> Date: Thu, 28-Jul-83 16:44:15 EDT Article-I.D.: ihuxm.388 Posted: Thu Jul 28 16:44:15 1983 Date-Received: Mon, 1-Aug-83 10:23:48 EDT Organization: BTL Naperville, Il. Lines: 12 Believe it or not, the American League office has ruled that the umpires ruled INCORRECTLY when they took Brett's home run away and called him out. Later this season the game will be continued: top of the ninth 2 outs Royals 5, Yankees 4. With this ruling, the Yankees (as of 7/28) are no longer tied for first! Thank you Lee MacPhail! Now if you could only move them behind Cleveland... (Sorry NY fans, I couldn't resist.) - Carl Amport
