Lines: 8 I have noticed that boyfriends/girlfriends often use one's full name as opposed to one's usual nickname. Mike pointed out that while his friends call him Mike, girlfriends (and his mother) call him Michael. My friends call me Beth, but I have a boyfriend who calls me Elizabeth. A number of people, including that same boyfriend and my parents, call me Beffer. I can think of several friends whose given names are used only by their boyfriends/girlfriends. Beth Katz
