Many people don't distinguish between the C language and the standard
UNIX C language subroutine library. I have even heard the complaint
that since the Whitesmith's C compiler doesn't come with a UNIX like
standard I/O library, it isn't real C. I don't agree. C is for loops
and statement braces and pointers and structures. Contrary to popular
notions, there is no C language write statment called "printf."

Did you ever wonder how many years of UNIX and C Language experience
most of the authors of the recent avalanche of UNIX/C books have?
I have heard the claim that programmers don't write good manuals.
If this is true, the supposedly good writers that are busy writing
about C may not know very much about the subject.

Murphy strikes again.
