How to get it on HP 2621 Message-ID: <268@ihuxb.UUCP> Date: Thu, 7-Jul-83 12:23:06 EDT Article-I.D.: ihuxb.268 Posted: Thu Jul 7 12:23:06 1983 Date-Received: Sat, 9-Jul-83 12:56:54 EDT Organization: BTL Naperville, Il. Lines: 39 I got enough responses about the Dvorak keyboard to warrant another posting on the subject. To get this arrangement on the HP 2621, first get the terminal in the configuration mode. Note the labels at the bottom of the screen: language, next, previous, etc. Get into the language mode. Note again the labels: blank, D, DK/N, etc. Now for the tricky and undocumented part: Hit CTRL-SHIFT-(home cursor up key), and watch a neat little DV appear in the blank label. You now have a Dvorak keyboard! Then hit the blank beige key twice to get back into the operating mode. The keyboard looks like this: unshifted: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 + ' BS ` * , . p y f g c r l [ ] < a o e u i d h t n s - \ q j k x b m w v z shifted: ! " # $ % & ^ ( ) = ? / BS ~ @ ; : P Y F G C R L { } > A O E U I D H T N S _ | Q J K X B M W V Z The del/esc, tab, caps, ctrl, shift, num, break, enter, ret, and back space keys don't change. Good luck to anyone who tries this keyboard! Laura ...ihnp4!ihuxb!irish
