In response to the Mountain Climbers paying for their
accidents, I would like to make a few comments. What about
smokers who knowingly harm their bodies and force all the
taxpayer to support Mdeicare, Medical, local Hospitals,
Parametic Units to support their suicidal habits. At least
climber give themselves a chance to live. Then we could
discuss the costs of Automobile accidents and the cost of
Fire and rescue opperations. I'd be willing to bet that
more people die in car accidents in one day than climbers do
in a whole year. Climber, myself included, know that their
is a risk involved in our activity, and should be held accountable
for our actions. But there are many other things that use
taxpayers money in far greater ammounts to flame about, so
get off our case.
