Message-ID: <801@uvacs.UUCP> Date: Tue, 5-Jul-83 21:14:23 EDT Article-I.D.: uvacs.801 Posted: Tue Jul 5 21:14:23 1983 Date-Received: Fri, 8-Jul-83 05:55:04 EDT Lines: 15 My girlfriend has a Toyota Celica (circa 1977) with Dunlop 185/SR14 Steelmax HR tires. I have noticed that the car acts up (swerves without warning) at road speed (40-60) when it is raining. The car also has VERY poor traction in snow. My brother told me that he has heard that Dunlops are known to give poor performance on wet road surfaces. Is this true? Any comments. I ask because she is thinking of replacing two of the tires and I'm wondering if it would be better to get all new ones of a different brand. joe wilson Univ. of Virginia uucp: ...decvax!duke!mcnc!ncsu!uvacs!jnw CSnet: jnw@uvacs Arpa: jnw.uvacs@udel-relay
