Where in God's name do some of you get your linguistic information?
"Berliner" = "jelly doughnut"?  Take it from me, and then put this discussion
somewhere other than net.jokes, "Ich bin ein Berliner" is perfectly
acceptable German.  Completely comparable with "I am an American," for
example.  The time I spent in Germany is a few years past, but I can assure
you of that much.

Kind of makes me wonder how much of the other net items are thrown out by
people with absolutely no accuracy whatsoever.
