I dont remember using the term "social MOTOS" but perhaps I did. I looked
in our /usr/spool/news/net/flame and /usr/spool/news/net/singles directories
and didnt find the phrase "social MOTOS". However, in net.flame there was
an article by a "Laura" (ihuxb!irish) who *isnt* me. She tends to sign
her articles on the right hand side of the page as "Laura" while I sign
my at the left hand side of the page as:

Laura Creighton
utzoo!utcsstat!laura

though sometimes I dont capitalise it. From a net.singles article I
gather that "Irish" is the other Laura's nickname; I have no idea what
her last name is.

Laura at ihuxb metioned "special MOTOS", not "social MOTOS" but until
I get more lines of text to confirm that I metioned "social MOTOS" I
will assume that it is her article that you are talking about.

a MOTOS is a Member Of The Opposite Sex. A related term is MOTAS, a
Member Of The Appropriate Sex. Seeing as they both are anacronyms which date
back to the early days of net.singles & net.social there is no reason to
antagonise any Homosexuals out there!

If this isnt your question, then I suggest we answer it by mail.

ps.
I used to sign my articles 5 tabs stops to the right. I counted them one
day when Dave Curry (pur-ee!davy) did a survey on how silly people sign their
silly news articles. I got tired typing in the tabs.
