Snake used to be played at our site - I have the top score
obtained by the standard method, i.e. playing the game
in the normal interactive manner at one sitting - 1932.
However, a couple of people here developed clever ways
to partially automate the snake-playing process by using
a program to aid in finding move sequences, and our top
score by this technique is a disgusting 3888!?! Apparently
at this level the snake makes almost no errors.
