Message-ID: <590@vax2.UUCP> Date: Tue, 5-Jul-83 11:15:55 EDT Article-I.D.: vax2.590 Posted: Tue Jul 5 11:15:55 1983 Date-Received: Thu, 7-Jul-83 03:01:20 EDT Lines: 21 i've been wanting to have word processing on unix (who hasn't?)... and i may have found a way to get it. lex is of course a possibility, but it isn't really right for us. we're looking at something called ctos, which resembles dec's software (ctos is like the vms 'decword' product, and like the 'prose-plus' software that runs on the dec 350 personal computer). my question is -- is anyone else out there interested also? if so, i would like to be able to tell the ctos folks that i am not the only potential customer... the price would be about $7000 for the first cpu. they would probably offer a multiple-cpu discount, or possible a bulk license for a big site. so, if you are interested, could you let me know: name & company (tell me if you want to be anonymous) level of interest (desparate? just curious?) what CPUs and OSs do you want to run it on? thanks! -- mike dash at john fluke (...decvax!microsof!fluke!dash)
