I am listening to a rather distorted Fourth of July simulcast from
Washington on KOAP-FM in Portland, Oregon. The sound is painfully
distorted; I've heard cleaner sound on 78's! The Star Spangled Banner
as sung by Leontyne Price (sp?) was especially distorted.

Although there is some multipath in the FM signal, other stations with
more multipath come through cleanly. My question is: Is the sound distorted
at the source (by PBS), through the satellite, or just by some stations?

Please reply by mail.
