Golly! Most computers I know of turn their drives off after a short period of unuse (loke my osborne), and I can't think of any that leave the drive motors constantly spinning (maybe the kaypro does? (i think, however, that it just leaves the drie selected)), but if you've got a drive that does this to you, then it would be best to install this beastie. -andy -------
