Believe it or not, the American League office has ruled that the umpires
ruled INCORRECTLY when they took Brett's home run away and called him out.
Later this season the game will be continued:
                         top of the ninth
                              2 outs
                        Royals 5, Yankees 4.
With this ruling, the Yankees (as of 7/28) are no longer tied for first!
Thank you Lee MacPhail!  Now if you could only move them behind Cleveland...
