If you're talking about Ward Christensen's MODEM7 protocol, then the only way
to transfer multiple files is for both the the sending & receiving computers
to know in advance how many files are going to be transferred and in what order.

MODEM7 does not transmit the name of the file when transmitting the file.  For
this reason, I find that the KERMIT protocol (from Columbia) is far better
for multiple file transfers.
