  I think Larry Kolodney has a good point: the reason so many people have 
trouble meeting others is *exactly* that the things that initially attract are
vastly different from those which foster lasting relationships. That is why
so many (all of mine) lasting relationships start with people that you 
normally see every day in the course of normal life, like co-workers and
neighbors. I think I'll move to a large apartment complex... :-)
