Lines: 19 I finally bought a vic modem and used my hour of compuserv. They have a comodore news group. Someone had put something out about a public domain program which allows using the computer and modem to download programs directly to tape, disk or printer from the main frame computer. The fees for compuserv seem high. 100 dollar initial connect charge and hourly fees. Does anyone know of any other electronic bulletin boards that are available? Some of the things I want to find out about are Public domain software and up/down loading programs between the small (inexpensive) micros. For those who are going to send mail telling me that net.micro is not for comodore micros, there is also a net.micro.apple and net.micro.pc but I see articles about them here. There may be some people with knowledge about the VIC and C-64 who don't read netnews but have friends who do and may respond with the answers. C. J. Holzwarth ihuxr!cjh
