Computer Vision Lab Lines: 16 Personally, if anyone found out my phone number indirectly (i.e. without asking for it specifically) and then called me up, I would be suspicious. I prefer things to be aboveboard; also, I have had several negative experiences with people like that. I am generally hesitant about giving out my phone number to anyone I don't know; perhaps if men would offer me *their* phone number I would be more responsive (and also feel more in control of the situation, and less like a pick-up). As regards the small number of women that respond to net.singles, I agree with Beth; it's probably because there just aren't that many. Diane Donaldson
