Paul Borman and any others who'd like to know HOW to find out how a
word is spelled:

I'm afraid there is no magic solution for people who can't
spell. For those who care about how thousands of other people see
them through their writing, I recommend a misspeller's dictionary.
I know the NY Times has one out; I imagine other publishers do, too.
These handy devices are so arranged that if someone looks up a word
the way they think it should be spelled, they will (often) find the
correct spelling. Other methods of spelling improvement require a little
more effort -- I learned by becoming a compulsive reader. Another
way consists of learning a lot of spelling rules -- sorta dull.

I'm not an English major, nor is my mom, but my husband is,
and I spell better than he does. So there. And it's expletive,
not explitive. And, before someone complains, "they" is used as
a third person, sing., neutral pronoun.
