I offer the "Mississippi Mud Cake" recipe; it's not especially
light summertime fare, but it is good!

Materials

1 3/4 C   strong coffee
1/4   C   bourbon
5     oz  baking chocolate
{Pretty good so far}
1     C   sweet butter
2     C   sugar
1     t   baking soda
1/8 t salt (is this really necessary?)
2     C   flour
3         eggs, slightly beaten
1     t   vanilla
          cocoa

Method

Butter a tube (angel food cake) pan and dust with cocoa. Heat coffee
and melt butter and chocolate in it.  Cool and add bourbon and sugar;
stir to dissolve. Add sifted dry ingredients in four portions,
beating at low speed. Add eggs and vanilla. Pour into prepared pan
and bake in preheated oven at 275 F (yes) for 90 (yes) minutes or
until it tests done. Cool in the pan. Serve with a dollop of
whipped cream.
