"ONLY DOING 60" Jim, It seems to me that 60 is already going 5 miles over
the speed limit. No I am not saying "for shame, for shame you are going
5 miles over the speed limit lets take his license away' but 60 IS still
speeding. That issue aside, if the car in the right lane is doing 45 and
I pass him at a legal 55, I still have the RIGHT to be in the passing lane
to pass him, without some immature fool coming up behind me endangering his
life AND mine.

"The car going the fastest in the left lane has the right of way."
Well this may be the case in Mille Bourne (Parker Brothers or Ken Arnold
can answer that one) but that is NOT true on the American roads. I agree
that if I am doing 55 in the left lane with no one in the right lane I
should be taken aside and gently, but firmly shot. However, if I am in
the left lane for a good reason (i.e. passing someone who is driving even
slower then I am), then the car that wants to really speed can damn well
wait until I can SAFELY pull back into the right lane. By the way Jim,
please post the area you are from. Those of us who value our lives will
do our best to stay away.
