The successful candidate will assume responsibility for researching state-of-the-art integrated circuit design systems for the VLSI Consortium. Responsibilities include: defining requirements and evaluation criteria for, and directing the implementation of, an integrated design system; providing consultation to users; participating in the formulation of research proposals; and representing the Director of the Systems Evaluation Group in the latter's absence. Requirements include: a master's degree in Computer Science; five years system programming experience; two years supervisory/management experience in software design; and familiarity with database design and the Mead-Conway IC design style. A Ph.D. in Computer Science is preferred. Salary Range: $25,068 - $40,356.
