Here are the various reasons: - when we switched from 2.9 to 2.10, the format of the history file changed. I didn't remake the history file, hence it had entries such as "sri-arpa.3087". When the same article came again, its ID was "<3087@sri-arpa.UUCP>", and the duplication wasn't detected. - Somebody's playing games with domains. For instance, we got the Toy window editor article twice. Here are diffs of the 2 articles: 2,3c2 < Posting-Version: version B 2.10 5/3/83; site uwvax.ARPA < Path: mit-eddie!genrad!decvax!linus!philabs!seismo!uwvax!greg --- > Path: mit-eddie!genrad!decvax!tektronix!ogcvax!omsvax!icalqa!hplabs!hao!seismo!uwvax!greg 7c6 < Message-ID: <989@uwvax.ARPA> --- > Message-ID: <989@uwvax.UUCP> 11,12c10 < Date-Received: Fri, 15-Jul-83 15:59:58 EDT < Organization: U of Wisconsin CS Dept --- > Date-Received: Tue, 19-Jul-83 06:53:54 EDT Finally, sri-arpa seems to be having trouble with their clock.
