    I also have hot water baseboard heat, and love it. I think you'll find
that the absolute temp of the air coming out of the unit is not as hot as
you might expect. I have my speakers about 3" in front of the baseboard, and
the heat just goes up the back with no problem. If you are really concerned,
you should be able to block off the vent directly behind the speaker with a
piece of sheetmetal or aluminum. The baseboards come apart very easily.
