What children (and a hell of a lot of "adults" I know) must be taught is that you should call a person WHAT THE WANT TO BE CALLED. My grandmother has been a widow for 40 years. She is a very "modern" woman who ran a succusful business for over 30 years and supports such things as ERA. She considers it to be an insult to a marriage that meant alot to her to be called "Ms." Several people I know (myself included dislike becalled called only by their last names. Several business people I know that are older then me consider it to be an insult if I call them by their first names before they have given me permission. My point is I think you should ASK people "what should I call you?" Of course there will always be the people that answer "anything but late for supper" They call me, OZ seimso!rlgvax!oz
