My boyfriend, when young, could not pronounce his name (Christopher)
correctly.  Somehow, it came out as "Fdu" (quite confusing to his
parents for a while).

However, the pet names we use the most often are bean, bone, and
chicken, all with cute preceding them.

It's a long story.
