This could be done in a rather straightforward manner, place a
slightly convex mirror on your forehead and an infrared projector on
the terminal that shines a wide beam in the shape of an "L".  Place IR
detectors along the top and right sides of the display.

I have an objection to this technique however.  Try moving your head
to "aim" at different points on the screen for a few minutes.  Imagine
doing this all day.  Would this characteristic motion persist?  Making
you look like a pigeon?
