aplvax!dan posted some Boston driving rules recently. Since I learned
to drive in Boston, I can attest to their accuracy; however, the list
was far from complete. I'll toss in a few others that come to mind:

	(6) At a merge, do not stop to let a car in from the other
lane. Boston drivers do not alternate at merges, and
you will end up waiting 10 minutes for a chance to get in.
Make the *other* lane wait. (It's only fair to the
	     cars behind you....)

	(7) Tailgate. Always. If there is room for a little bitty
car to sqeeze in, one will, and you will be tailgating
it anyway. Might as well keep your place in line.

	(8) Ignore walk lights and pedestrian crossings. The
pedestrians certainly will. The rule is: If there
is a crowd with a mass greater than the mass of your
car, let it cross; otherwise, it's up to the pedestrians
	     to play dodge'em.

	(9) DO NOT pause to let other cars enter your lane, make
left hand turns, park, etc. DO NOT stop on a yellow
light. You may indulge in these curtesies outside of
Boston, but always remember that these are unsafe
moves within the city confines; they are completely
unexpected and you will be rear-ended.

Enough for now. (There are more, and we haven't even considered
the parking rules, and how to follow signs and traffic patterns
in Boston, but you get the idea.)
