Oh, pain.  I, too, have spent mental effort and anguish addressing
this worry on the net...about a year and a half ago.  I'll be a lot
more brusque this time.  The moral issues *are* a personal decision,
not a governmental one.  The government has only the responsibility to
enforce such laws as prevent disruption of our culture and economy; this
is, no matter how touchy, not a matter which will disrupt either in and
of itself.  AND, no matter how liberal I may feel about other people and
their opinions, I must admit that the militant right-to-lifers and
right-wing Falwellites (well, it's the most descriptive phrase I could
come up with!) are really grating on my nerves...
