There has been or was an ad in Byte for a long time for an
S-100 board including both the TI 9918 sprite chip and the
GI AY3-8910 sound chip. However, while this hardware is
capable of some pretty neat graphics, do not underestimate
the man-months involved in developing the typical recent
Atari arcade game! There is some damn good programming going
on in the best video games, and having roughly comparable
hardware on another system does not give you Atari graphics.
