Actually ran across this one in a scholarly discussion of humour - the
author claimed that people who laughed at it were significantly different
from other kinds of people...

[Back in horse and buggy days...] One day, six big burly guys came strolling
up to the door of the livery stable (pre-autmotive equivalent of Avis).
They wanted to rent a buggy, and ended up choosing a little dainty buggy
with a little dainty horse. "But look," the proprietor said nervously,
"that's a pretty small horse and buggy for all of you guys."

"That's OK," said the biggest, leering, "we've got a whip."
