JFK's statement, "Ich bin ein Berliner" had it's problems, not in the
pronunciation, but in that he had the "ein" in there.
"Ich bin Berliner" means roughly "I am from Berlin", whereas JFK's
version means roughly "I am a jelly doughnut"
