If you dont have access to a berkeley system, it isnt that hard to write, or if your licensing permits I could send you one. USG is sopposed to have one as well, which takes a width as an argument, but the Berkeley 4.1bsd one doesnt. As a kludge you can change the defined line width. If you want to quote from someone elses news article, save it, and run it through fmt. You will get a less wide, pretty looking piece of text which you can insert (right justified) into anything you are editing. Fmt is a kludge in places; and has bugs; and the code disagrees with the documentation in places; and it doesnt pass lint; and I should write a better one -- but it is a quick fix for those looking for better ways to indent quotations in a news article. laura creighton utzoo!utcsstat!laura
