A co-worker of mine just got an Apple ][e with an MBI VIP card (which
has two serial and one parallel port) and a Hayes Smartmodem 1200, and
would like to write a terminal emulator in C for it. Unfortunately,
none of the hardware came with documentation on where the i/o buffers
are for the serial ports and how to access them. Anyone in netland
know how to read/write to/from the communications port(s)?

No amount of information is too much, so if you know anything that might
help send mail to { ... seismo!rlgvax!cvl!nk } (nk is the person who
has the machine).
