As far as the disk drive is concerned: The fact that it is a serial bus device does slow it down a bit. It is, however not objectionably(sp) slow. This is more than compensated for by the fact that it is an intelligent device with its own memory and processor. As far as using it as a terminal is concerned; This response is being written on a C64 in terminal mode connected to a vax running UNIX(tm). It does a great job and you cant beat the price. The PET emulator also gives you access to a great deal of software much of which is in the public domain(aka FREE). I dont think you would regret getting one. Good Luck Paul Maioriello pyuxll!pjm
