The simple fact that comments such as the above are made by people who
consider themselves thinkers very nearly suffices as a Q.E.D. for
Laura's thesis.  Those who regard Reagan as a demagogue for his views
on defense matters are well advised to read Sakharov's recent public
letter excerpted in the July 4 issue of Time.
