A suggestion: let's create net.abortion.

The common reasons to create a notes group are:

	1. There's a lot of traffic about something
	2. The traffic goes into a group that is not really concerned
with the subject (politics in net.general, for example)
	3. It becomes possible to define a notesgroup that one would
	love to unsubscribe to.
	4. There's no way to convince the people submitting
that they should use an existing group.

1. There's a LOT of traffic about it. net.women had nothing else
for a long time (perhaps 100 messages). Pinheaded idiots have now
spread the controversy to net.politics.

2. Both net.politics and net.women touch on the issue, but, as
seems widely known, people are not easily converted on this issue --
the do seem to feel that OTHER people are easily convinced, or that
it's worth trying -- hence, a lot of preaching from both sides.

3. I would love to create a group for these people, so that they
can slam heads against each other until someone gives in.
Remember the benefits from the creation of net.religion?

4. It's hard to convince someone who believes abortion is a moral
issue that it should go in net.politics. It's hard to
convince someone who believes that it is of special concern
to women that it should not go in net.women. Creation of
net.abortion would allow those interested to subscribe, and
those NOT interested to unsubscribe.

Comments? By the way, I'm not espcially happy about the use
of the net for this debate -- I simply regard it as inevitable, and
so suggest we make it as painless as possible.
