A word of caution to the naive traveler: do not figure on spending a
large amount of time at the beaches of Upper Michigan. The water of
Lake Superior is, I believe, kept at a constant temperature of 34 degrees
Fahrenheit. At least that's what it feels like. However, I can also attest
to the beauty of the area. Don't miss the many state parks (I don't expect
you will see them all, but at least see a few!).
