Subject: The cub reporter : net.jokes

There was once a cub reporter who was just learning the trade.
The cub had mastered the 5 W's: Who, What, Where, When, and Why.
But the editor was bothered by the fact that the cub's headlines
were often too long, and was continuingly shortening them
to those pithy strings of nouns that editors love so much.

One day, the cub was given the task of writing about the
inmate from the insane asylum who had escaped and,
while at large, sexually assaulted an innocent victim.
This time, the cub got the article right. All the details
were there: there was a good introductory paragraph,
the 5 W's were all present, but the title was still too long.
The editor sent the article back, complimenting the cub, but
asking for a shorter headline. Finally a stroke of inspiration
and the cub added the title: NUT BOLTS and SCREWS.
