The phrase "extra-terrestrial UFO's" is a misnomer.
If we know where they're from, they're not UFO's.

Regarding the statistical sample:
   Our (listen to me, you'd think that I did it) guesses on how
many worlds have life isn't based on statistical sample, it's
based on information about the temperature of stars, etc.
