Hi folks!
    This is just to let y'all know about the third annual "Doyle Lawson
and Quicksilver bluegrass festival" at the Denton Fly-in grounds near
Denton, N.C. on July 8-10. Featured groups are:
    Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver (of course)
    Hot Rize (featuring former Country Cooking banjoist Peter Wernick;
              you may have heard them on the "Prarie Home Companion" on NPR)
    Country Gentlemen (Jimmy Gaudreau, Charlie Waller, et al)
    Summer Wages (New band from N.C.; tres hot)
    and many others.

    Denton is just off of NC Hiway 49 near the intersection of US 52,
approximately halfway between Charlotte and Raleigh. Tickets are approximately
$10 per day (and well worth every penny).

                             Y'all come!
                             eddie (UNC-Charlotte)
    P.S. - I'd like to see some bluegrass chatter on net.music. Anyone
           interested?
