Message-ID: <491@uw-june> Date: Sun, 26-Jun-83 22:24:24 EDT Article-I.D.: uw-june.491 Posted: Sun Jun 26 22:24:24 1983 Date-Received: Tue, 28-Jun-83 01:18:02 EDT Organization: U. Washington, Computer Sci Lines: 28 My parents met at my aunt's wedding when my maternal and paternal grandmothers arranged a little rendevous between the two. It was love at first sight but my mother suffered from many of the commonly held misconceptions of that day and tried to play hard to get. Nonetheless, my father did finally call her and they arranged a very lovely date on the shores of Tampa Bay. Well, one thing led to another which in turn led to my creation (nine months and twelve days after their marriage-Was I late? is my favorite question) and membership in the country clubs and Little League games on Saturday. They lived happily ever after until they decided to construct a large home on Tampa Bay in the midst of the l974-75 recession which put undue pressure upon their relationship. However, the house was finally completed and I was subsequently ejected after I held a ten-day party under its high ceilings that has come to be known as the Rio party in honor of my parent's trip to Brazil during this time. Don't worry, I quickly found a great place and the newfound privacy in their lives was a positive factor in their relationship. They now have a video recorder and spend their evenings watching Bob and Bing and Duke and Fred and Ginger and Judy holding hands. Now isn't that a nice story? However, I personally believe that the best place to meet and greet future lovers/companions is at your local bookstore near the travel section. Simply notice the book they are perusing and immediately invite them to visit that place with you tonight. People love spontaniety and passion. Write back if this works. P.S. Quit your job, charge the flight, and do it right! -- Eddie
