The following is a direct quote from the episode "The Enemy Within". The scene is the bridge, when the bad Kirk is acting as the captain, and the good Kirk and McCoy have just entered: Spock: We'll let the Captain handle this. Bad Kirk: I'm the captain. Isn't that obvious? Look at his face. Remember the scratches? Look how he's tried to hide them. He wants you to think that he's Captain Kirk. You know who I am. Good Kirk: Yes, I know. It is obvious from thia dialogue that the good Kirk has scratches on his face at this point, and these are the scratches that are on the opposite side from where the bad Kirk originally had them. I have not written this quote from memory, but rather from a tape I have of the episode. If you watch the episode again I think you will find that I am correct.
