We just got a VAX 11/780 in and I would like to run Unix on it. We also have 3 PDP 11/34's running RSX and another VAX 11/750 running VMS on campus. My questions are: 1) What new licence should I get for the Univ. from AT&T so at some time I can be able to run UNIX (Berkeley 2.9 and 4.2 ?) on any CPU? V7 supplementals, 32V, System III, System V ? 2) What licence do I need to get Berkeley 2.9 and 4.1 or 4.2 for the PDP's and VAX's. 3) What licence do I need to run UNIX (Eunice) under VMS? Is this a good idea? I have people here that want both. How much will Eunice or something like it cost me? 4.1 BSD seems offly reasonable! Thanks in Advance!
