Message-ID: <499@cvl.UUCP> Date: Tue, 19-Jul-83 02:20:55 EDT Article-I.D.: cvl.499 Posted: Tue Jul 19 02:20:55 1983 Date-Received: Wed, 20-Jul-83 07:42:44 EDT Organization: U. of Md. Computer Vision Lab Lines: 15 As distributed, the B-news 2.10 "inews" and "readnews" absolute modules are much too large to fit on a DEC PDP-11/34 or other non-separated-I-and-D-space 16-bit-address machines under DEC's V7M2.1. Has anyone stripped these programs down or subdivided them so that they can fit? Is support from a different version of the operating system kernel such as BSD 2.9 needed? Would some earlier version of news fit? Will the maintainers of B-news make future versions that will fit on smaller address-space machines?
