Listen, that argument is wonderful and thoughtful and warm, but it is NOT REALISTIC! People disagree; societies DO draw lines; life is a series of compromises. Smokers can pollute my part of the public air, directly interfering with my life, but the same society that permits that won't let me burn leaves in my back yard because of the consequences to others. (To me, only the latter makes sense, but I hope you seen the point.) If my wife has an abortion, that has NO impact on your life. In fact, quite the contrary, for a person never born cannot in any way infringe on you. If you want to limit my freedoms, you had better at least have a good argument for why you stand to gain thereby. Alan Silverstein
