To use a standard cassette recorder with the VIC/64
you need a hardware adapter that costs about $35 - $40.
Several companies market such devices, take a look at
ads in COMPUTE! or COMMODORE magazine.

The cassette is really a pain in the nether regions,
the only reason I have one is that it was included in
the system price.  The 1541 disk drive has dropped
down in price to about $250 in the Boston area, and
is a worthwhile investment.

Also, is there any interest out there in starting
a "net.micros.C64" notesfile?
