About 2 years ago, I found a religious (send no money) chain letter in my physical mailbox. I thought "What a hack," and sent it to a few people I knew on my local system. Well, a couple of them thought "What a hack," and they sent it to people who had accounts on our system but were really from somewhere else, so they took it to their home systems. Then a handful of people sent it to users they knew at other sites. You can imagine... After a few days I started receiving copies of it that had been out to California, though Texas, etc. After about two weeks, everyone was talking about it, and the DoD made it the subject of one of the ARPA newletters. Fortunately, since I never sent I over the net, I was left unscathed. -- Randwulf (Randy Haskins) genrad!mit-eddie!rh or... rh@mit-ee (via mit-mc)
