if someone is tailgateing you, why not just get out of the way and let them
pass? Personally, I find nothing more abhorrant than some self-appointed
enforcer of speed limits in front of me on the freeway. (or any other
road for that matter) If i choose to break the law - that's my business, and
it's up to me to face the consequences of that action should I be caught.
Otherwise, bugger off!!!

You seem to be saying that it's your RIGHT to break a law, as long as you're
prepared to face the consequences.   I think you're a bit mixed up...


If a law is passed against something, that reflects a decision that this thing
is WRONG.   If something is wrong, the fact that you're prepared to face the
consequences DOES NOT make it right.

I have no ethical obligation to allow you to do something that's wrong.   So
piss off!   If you tailgate me, you better be prepared for a VERY, VERY slow
ride...
