So, what is Linden going to do now? No doubt, the Land will soon be in trouble again. Now that they have a new (better) Staff of Law, it will be a simple matter to summon her. She has the White Gold now, but when she shows up in the Land, will they give her the Staff of Law to wield? I can't imagine there being much of a contest if she has her health-sight, the Ring, and the Staff. I would be interested in reading about the Chronicles of Linden Avery the Chosen, but I think one book would cover it since she's so powerful. In the first chronicles of Thomas Covenant, Chovenant (and everyone else) had health-sight, and the staff of law was owned by the good-guys for part of the time. Thus, it doesn't seem to me that Linden Avery will be any more powerful than Covenant had the potential to be. The biggest difference seems to me to be that Linden is less wimpy and is less likely to have qualms about using her power. -Doug Alan -------
