Lines: 21 I`m glad to see that someone else besides myself has been watching the batting average list to see Wade Boggs slowly and quietly move himself up over .370 at the same time Carew has slipped under .400. Boggs is in his second season in Boston (Red Sox fans correct me if I`m wrong). Last year he had a very good average as I recall (.350 or higher), and is showing that the sophomore jinx hasn`t hit him. I don`t know how good he is in the field, though. Maybe some Boston fans could give us some more info on this young sensation. On a different note, did you see that Phillie fired Pat Corrales? I haven`t seen a paper in a few days, but I know they`re right in the thick of the NL East race, which makes it unusual. What happened? Tom O`Connor ihuxw!tommyo P.S. Don`t look now, but the Pirates are HOT, and my poor Cubbies are not.
