i've been wanting to have word processing on unix (who hasn't?)... and i
may have found a way to get it. lex is of course a possibility, but it
isn't really right for us.

we're looking at something called ctos, which resembles dec's software
(ctos is like the vms 'decword' product, and like the 'prose-plus'
software that runs on the dec 350 personal computer).

my question is -- is anyone else out there interested also? if so, i
would like to be able to tell the ctos folks that i am not the only
potential customer... the price would be about $7000 for the first cpu.
they would probably offer a multiple-cpu discount, or possible a bulk
license for a big site.

so, if you are interested, could you let me know:

name & company (tell me if you want to be anonymous)
level of interest (desparate? just curious?)
what CPUs and OSs do you want to run it on?

thanks! -- mike dash at john fluke (...decvax!microsof!fluke!dash)
