The truth is, any programming language can be translated to any other one,
since they are all (supposedly) Turing-machine compatible.  Some tranlations
(your "f") are just tougher than others, e.g., Ada-->BASIC.  If we are only
talking about "easy f's", then how would you translate PASCAL's nested
procedures to C?
