The shell script that installs netnews would post these articles to a group such as "beginners" (net.beginners, maybe, if we want to add items to it occasionally). These articles would have infinite expiration dates, and this newsgroup would be the first in the active file, so the first thing people read when they get onboard netnews would be these articles. Note that it would also be easy to re-read these articles at any time by simply typing "readnews -x". Mark
