Has anyone figured out how to make a console cassette for the Vax 750
under 4.1bsd? I can make a cassette with "boot", "icheck", etc. on it
using arff, but there needs to be a boot block and some way of
specifying what program to run. On the 730 you would do a "L boot; S 2"
but there isn't a "L" command on the 750. There is a thing for loading
programs called the "Diagnostic Supervisor", but it apparently wants
VMS style *.EXE files.

Also, why should there be a different boot block (??boot) for each
device? Why not use the device driver built into the boot ROM, like
VMS does?

I know this is an esoteric and possibly useless thing to want to do.
Only helpful suggestions, please.
