Things like Diner, Days of Heaven, documentary style things, Something (I forget which) County, Florida, "old" movies that play on campus. I really don't like a lot of current popular movies, though. As an undergraduate, I belonged to a group called the Gonzo Media Outlaws. We screened films to show on campus and through Northern Michigan and Wisconsin (bringing movies to the great unwashed). I watched all or parts of 15-20 movies a week for 3 years. I also made 8 and 16 mm movies, including work on a documentary on unemployed miners, took part in an editing contest (got ALL the film shot for an episode of Hawaii 5-0 and the script, and put a TV show together), and that sort of stuff, so I suppose my sense have been dulled. Anyway, what makes this a followup instead of a reply is a general question: Are there any ulimate movie hounds, or better yet MFA's in cinematography or filmmaking out there? Also, I am working on a script for net.movies that will drive flamers wild. It will be called "Mahatma Loves Tootsie" and will be a musical. Beat me Daddy, down to the floor! ~r .usenet Rats.
