I'm a bit pessimistic about the ability of people who really don't
understand each other to learn how. I think it easier to find a more
understanding match than to suffer trying to change basic personal traits.

If you need to ask a person "do you like me?", and you are worried
that the answer won't be satisfactory, then chances are you will
always be worrying about such answers and will always need to pose
such questions.

Though you might work at resolving the misunderstandings, perhaps it
is easier to just pass on; not all pairs of people relate well.

I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
and you are not in this world to live up to mine.
I am I, and you are you,
and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
And if not, then it can't be helped.

Most art shops don't carry the posters that contain that last line.
