GoodfellowRemailed-To: Info-VAX@SRI-CSL.ARPA: ; The MITRE-TAC does work at split speed, 600/300. It would work at 600/600 except they have a cheap modem which can't understand Bell 103 signals at 600 baud. I set it to 600/300 with the command @D R 437. I was then able to use it in half duplex by switching speed at my end to 300 or 600 depending on whether I was going to send or recieve. This is probably good enough, as my intended application was for my vax to login to ITS and grab my mail and other files for me. Unfortunately, as several of you pointed out, the DZ-11 RS232 interface we have doesn't support split speed. It would have saved a lot of hassle if the DCL command SET TERMINAL /SPEED had simply told me what I was trying to do wasn't possible, instead of accepting my command as if it was doing the right thing. ...Keith
