Title: Age Differences

After reading several articles about "older women," I've decided
to add my two cents (for whatever that's worth):
For the past eight months, I've been seeing someone nine years older
than me (I'm 24). We've gotten along fine, and the age difference
has stopped bothering us a long time ago. Interestingly enough, our
friends have all been encouraging and thoughtful; nobody has voiced
anything but good things to us. (In fact, her friends were telling
her not to worry early on, when she WAS worried.)
Our relationship has been very good from the start, and looks like a
real winner for now. My parents are very supportive, hers are non-
committal and a little worried, but they don't give her any hassles
(she's in the midst of a divorce now, so she's living at home for the
time being. Maybe later I'll post something about meeting someone
who's on the rebound.)
>From my own experience, I feel that age make little or no difference
at all, and any problems are caused by a wrong attitude of one or both
people involved. I have dated people ranging from three years younger
to nine years older, and the relationships succeeded or failed not due
to age, but due to the people themselves.
