Well, Greg, THANKS!
I still feel that the good points of being single (even by your
definition) can be combined with the good points of being
coupled up. The trick, of course, is finding someone who
will go along with your need for freedom, control, etc.
They ARE out there - at least I've met plenty in Columbus!
Some will seem to be very compatible with my attitude
and lifestyle but will "change" after a couple months
when they find that they REALLY want a more traditional
arrangement. That's ok - at least I wasn't lonely for
that time. What I've found to be necessary is to be
VERY VERY clear right out front as to what I want.
If the woman doesn't go along with this, then neither
of us has wasted any time.
I guess I'm saying that I don't believe it has to be "either-or".
