I need to illustrate state-of-the-art computer graphics (i.e. polygons, quadric surfaces, mapping (bump & picture), fractals, reflections, etc.). To do this I plan to write ray-tracing software, since ray-tracing can do just about anything if you're willing to wait long enough for the picture to generate... With the due date for the manuscript approaching I find myself wanting to devote more time to refining the text than to writing software. Does anybody out in net-land have some general-purpose software I may use in exchange for printed credit? I am willing of course to re-write sections of code that talk directly to the frame buffer (or other framestore...). Thanks! -Andrew Glassner !decvax!cwruecmp!glassner
