I can provide some information on the 101, since that is the drive that
I have -- the very drive which is dead now and has been nothing but
trouble since day ONE. I strongly recommend placing 101's back in their
protective boxes and tossing them over a cliff somewhere.

I have some OEM info, but it won't do you much good -- every revision
of the main circuit board has its OWN variations on jumpering, and there
seem to be about 100+ variations on that board, due to *numerous* ECO's.
The smaller (stepper) board also has a variety of problems, and is
*probably* where the bug that killed my drive (this time) is living.

The drive is subject to sporadic lost data (both localized and global),
both randomly *and* related to power on/off. It is a loser.

Cut your losses -- trash it! I wish I could trash mine.
