Article-I.D.: sdccsu3.387 Posted: Mon Mar 14 10:55:12 1983 Received: Thu Mar 17 21:35:52 1983 All right, so maybe I was kvetching unfairly about Harpo. The problem is that it appears in just about every path, but won't necessarily pass a reply, thus leaving those of us who don't have directed graphs of the net unable to respond to news articles or mail. Perhaps *everybody* should try to avoid mailing through it, thus taking a load off both the machine and the recipient of the mail. By the way, I heard a rumor that a one (printer) page net map was to be posted to net.news.map, but I haven't seen it there (though I once saw a printout of it, nowhere near a Xerox machine). Such a thing might cut down on requests for paths, especially if it included the directions of unidirectional connections. -- Eric J. Wilner (often F. J. Gumby) ...!sdcsvax!sdccsu3!ee163cz
