Twice I have tried to buy winter boots in February (my old ones having cracked in the middle of winter) and found virtually NOTHING available. I won't buy the proferred bathing suits until the temperature goes above 25C!! genradbo!mitccc!svw's comment about clothes being cheaper in the off-season missed the point. These stores think winter is the off-season in January!! By then, they are clearing out their winter stock at sale prices. Unfortunately, if you are looking for a specific item they are often sold out & they won't have anymore winter stock till July. I thought capitalism was supposed to be supply & demand. Who is buying these short-sleeves in January, anyway?? (a purely rhetorical question) with wet feet till May, Judy McMullan
