I am in complete agreement with Steve Sutphen from Alberta. I do not let
my students use "core" to refer to mainstore, and "memory" is also frowned
on. When we have bistable optical devices (See IEEE Spectrum, June 18) will
we still use "core" or will we then refer to "running out of mirrors?"
