With the new storm moving in off the pacific we expect it to keep snowing for several days. The Mt Hood Meadows ski area reports it is snowing lightly at 30 F with light winds. They have had 5" of new snow in the last day giving a total of 100". The snow condition is a little new on packed powder. All lifts but yellow and texas are open for day skiing and daisy, blue and yellow after dark. All runs except Heather Canyon are scheduled for this weekend. At Timberline lodge ski area it is 28 deg and snowing lightly. The winds are 10-15 mph out of the east. The runs are packed powder with 3" of new in the last day giving a 118" total. All lifts are open except Palmer although the Magic Mile is on weather stand-bu. They are open every day with Pouci and Victoria station open for night skiing Wends through Sunday. Mt Batchelor reports a 107" base including 3" new in the last 24 hr period. They have currently overcast at 29 deg and light to moderate winds with light snow. The runs are discribed as "new over packed powder". They are open 9-4 every day but Monday. The Cross Country track is open for 25km of trails. They recomend violet wax for those "skinny skiis". Ski Bowl/Multipor is 29 F and snowing lightly. They have a 24" base with 1" of new in the last day. They are open for day skiing during the week with both bowls and the Multipor runs open. They will be open until 9:00PM on the weekend.
