Glad to see the enthusiastic response to my request for ski reports.
Thanks!
I've just returned from a one-week ski trip to Snowbird, Utah (from
Salt Lake airport 1 hr. by limo, 2 hrs. by city bus). As of Saturday,
Jan. 8, all 7 chairs and the tram were operating and ski conditions
were great, with 4-6 inches of new snow and packed powder base all
over the mountain. Snowbird has approx. thirty named runs, and
many more ski runs that they haven't even bothered to name. The
area is geared towards the expert skier, but there is plenty of
good skiing to occupy a strong intermediate skier. Lift lines during
the week were virtually non-existent. This was pure bliss for
a born-n-bred eastern skier!
