Title: improved daisy wheels?

I've heard rumors about a new kind of daisy wheel available from some
independent manufacturers. It's a Diablo compatible all plastic wheel,
but while the hub and petals are made of the same soft plastic Diablo
uses, the character surfaces are made with a different, much harder
plastic. This supposedly improves the print quality to nearly the level
of metal wheels without requiring the heavier duty printing mechanism
needed to get the metal wheels spinning and bend their stiffer petals
(i.e. you can use it in your C. Itoh Starwriter, which costs half as
much as a 630 and is more reliable). If you've never seen good output
from a metal wheel and carbon ribbon, your life is not complete - it's
as good as typesetting.

Does anyone know anything about this (i.e. where can I get the wheels
and how much do they cost)? Reply by mail please to allegra!phr, and
I will summarize to the net. Thanks.
