Ah, be considerate of one another! That`s the key. If one person
hasn`t taken advantage of the other, then the breakup might not be
too hard. I think the 1st breakup you have is the hardest. You
just don`t want to accept the fact that things didn`t or can`t work
out - there`s GOT to be a way we can work it out. But how many
people can say the first one was the only one. There are cases I know
of where it was #1 for one party, even for both, but these are the
exceptions.
The easiest one for me was when I found out the girl I was seeing
decided that she wanted something I wasn`t ready for, so went out and
found a guy who didn`t give a darn. It didn`t phase her a bit, she
had what she wanted. Too bad that was all she wanted.
As far as the "nice guy" line goes, I`ve stopped counting the times
I`ve heard it. One of these days I`ll be fortunate, I just hope it
happens before I retire! Along these lines, I wonder if any females
have ever gotten a "nice girl but" line, and how they handled it.
I believe in myself, and have some very good friends who also believe
in me and do remind me from time to time. That helps. I may be
unattached, but I do know I have GOOD friends. And they ain`t so
easy to find these days.
