Article-I.D.: sri-arpa.468 Posted: Wed Feb 16 05:33:00 1983 Received: Sun Feb 20 06:20:01 1983 From: Gail ZachariasFirst of all, these are not messages that failed to get to you (think about it!), these are people that YOUR message failed to get to. Normally, one should forward the failure report to INFO-MICRO-REQUEST@BRL so the list can be fixed (*not* to all of INFO-MICRO -- 99.99% of people on info-micro can't do a darn thing about it either, and the ones who can are on INFO-MICRO-REQUEST) People should realize that re-sending the message itself to INFO-MICRO is totally useless. Most people already got the message and will be getting duplicates (YOU don't like it when you get them, do you...) Those you did not reach the first time most likely cannot be reached still, you will only get the failure reports again. If you are really really concerned about reaching absolutely everybody, you can re-send the message just to the people it failed to the first time. Note that the failure reports include the names of the people who didn't get it: Date: 11 February 1983 06:13 EST From: Communications Satellite Subject: Msg of Saturday, 5 February 1983 04:43 EST To: harpo!eagle!mhuxt!mhuxa!mhuxh!mhuxm!pyuxjj!pyuxcc!kxn FAILED: SATZ at WHARTON-10; Host appears to be permanently down or not accepting mail.
