Out from the caddy shack stumps this *very* old man and says, "Well, let's get started, I'm your caddy." The golfer takes one look at this old codger and says, "You're a caddy, at your age? It's pretty hot out here today." The old fellow declaims, "Why I'm the greatest caddy in the world! Ninety seven years old and I still have eyes like a hawk!" Still unconvinced, the golfer tries to dissuade the old geezer again, "Well you know my clubs are pretty heavy, are you sure you can carry them?" "Of course I can -- greatest caddy in the world, ninety seven years old and eyes like a hawk!" So the golfer gives up and hits his first ball -- a beautiful long shot that is unfortunately picked up by a breeze and lands at the edge of the woods 200 yards down the course. The golfer turns to the caddy and says, "Well, this is where you earn your money. Did you see where that ball landed?" "Of course I saw it -- greatest caddy in the world, ninety seven years old and eyes like a hawk!" "Okay, so where did the ball land?" "I can't remember." Bob Warren cbosgd!nscs!rew
