	I think they did once, but it was as Bob Dylan's backup band.
    I thought that was hilarious, when I first heard about it, cuz if
    anyone has domesticated Dylan's vocal style, it's Dire Straits!
    Now doubt Dylan took advantage of Dire Straits' sudden surge of
    popularity to put his torpid career under a spotlight (which clicked
    off again, shortly afterward.)  No doubt Dire Straits thought they
    couldn't go it alone, and signed together with Dylan as a security
    measure - which backfired.

	Honestly, I think they're a good band, with lots of potential yet.
    If they never tour, it's OK with me.  Did Steely Dan ever tour?
