Hi gang,

Last night I had the rare pleasure of watching a very witty and insightful
episode of "Masterpiece Theater" on ch.11 (Chicago's public T.V. station).
The program was a three act play called "On Approval" (the author's name
escapes me). The play was set in the early 1900s in the U.K. It's about
two couples who, upon contemplating marriage plans, decide to spend a
month together in a remote cottage in Scotland--on approval. The men are
to spend their nights at the local hotel while during the day the couples
live at the cottage--testing their compatibility. As things progress, it
becomes obvious that a woman from one couple and the man from the other
are quite demanding and insensitive to their partners who, by virtue of
their natures, continually submit to the demands placed on them. The play
gets really interesting and amusing as realizations dawn on the more
"submissive" prospective spouses.

Anyhow, I thought I'd mention it since I found it particularly entertaining
and it seemed to tie in with some of the more recent ideology found in
net.singles. If it comes to your area and you're aware of it, check it out.
Also, if anyone else saw it or knows the author's name, let me know OK?

                                               Peace,
                                               Charles Dobrovolny BTL IX
