Now for my first contribution to this august newsgroup:

(This IS a required header, isn't it?)

Why is it that some people (or ai projects or whatever) who submit articles to
the net feel the need to hide behind a fictional signature? I remember
a great deal of heat over anonomous contributions some months ago, at which
point the net at large heaped napalm on those who contributed without
identifying themselves. To my mind, this is exactly the same.

Please to not misinterpret - I do not have anything personal against
Lady Arwen, the Duke DeNet, Gustav the Dewduster, or Ziggy, nor would
I wish to restrict their asperations toward royalty or whatever.
Many of their contributions have added substantially to the caliber
of conversation here present. I do, however, find it difficult
at times to take seriously the contributions of an individual
who deliberately obscures his/her/it's identity by such means.

What's the matter with you people?? Are you ashamed of the names your
parents gave you, or are you just afraid of taking responsibility for
your words??

Not afraid to sign my TRUE name,
