Article-I.D.: ittvax.568 Posted: Fri Jan 7 10:01:16 1983 Received: Sat Jan 8 01:19:38 1983 Recently, there was an article on the net extolling the virtues of carrots over males. (A carrot never comes home smelling like another woman). This article was incredibly sexist, mostly because it didn't offer any alternatives to the males who now have to go around playing second fiddle to a member of the legume family. Over the years, I have spent many more nights at home with a paperback than with a member of the opposite sex and I would like to share some of the advantages with other members of net.singles. You can buy a book legally. You can read a book whenever you want. If you don't like a book, you can throw it out. If someone else likes your book, you can buy him/her a copy. You can read a good book for hours. The book doesn't care if you're a fast reader. You can have more than one book at a time; you can even be reading two books at a time. You don't have to judge a book by its cover, but you can, and if you're wrong, you're only out $2.50. Good books are easy to find. Flames, comments, remarks to /dev/null. Additions to the net.
