I am typing on my new Freedom 100. While I haven't tested out the
full range of bells and whistles attendent thereto, I can say that I'm
pleased with the terminal's performance in the week I've owned it. The
keyboard is very comfortable (all auto-repeat keys, 10 function keys,
separate numeric keypad, etc.). The "tilt screen" is a euphemism for
a plastic, rather tacky wedge that sits under the video unit. The
only functional drawbacks I can name are a tendency to get confused
for a few minutes after power-on (i.e. spewing garbage at 1200 baud),
which I solve by leaving it on all the time; and a certain slowness
in completing line inserts. The time required for the operation is
noticable, unlike, say, an h-19, but it beats the bejesus out of waiting
for a screen redraw. I say "noticable", but it really is functionally zero.
And on an aesthetic note, my wife considers the grey-and-black cabinet
motif a radical improvement over the ADM3A I used before.
