A long, long time ago in a news submission far, far away, the question was asked
in a series of notes/responses if the Crosby Stills Nash song "Southern
Cross" refered to Steve Still's boat, or the rather little known southern
hemisphere constellation (little known to northerners!)
Well, (and you knew there had to be a "well" clause, didn't you...)
after careful listening, I hear several references to the Marquesas Islands,
which are, yes indeed, in the South Pacific... which would lead me to the
following:
   (1) The song refers to the constellation, or
   (2) The song refers to the constellation and the boat.

I know this is horribly trivial, but I really did wonder about it...
OK, you proponents of the boat theory, what do you say now?
(Better put, why would CSN be singing about a constellation? (In case you
haven't guessed, I find only 20% of the lyrics intelligible)...any ideas?)
