	february

snow
lightly snow
snow of winter
freedoms falling
softly floating
currents carry gusts of snow
dancing quickly in the street lights
	      - in front of car lights
will I see you in the snow?

( back-side up and reddened features
glaze of spittle on your lips
snow drifts growing at your fingers
	  crimson tire prints nearby )

[ Half of me wants to apologize for this, but the other half likes
the way it goes together so well. I don't especially *like* the second
scene, but I *do* like the way it was said.
**Please** "comments, questions, criticisms, complaints" send to me.
P.S. This is an 'old' piece, from a depressing February day in school,
around '74, I believe.
Thanks.]
