Obviously, an all-lower-case message is not incomprehensible, but is
nevertheless a little harder. A skilled reader uses cues like word-shape,
punctuation and case. The more skilled the reader, the more flouting
such conventions will slow them down. People who move their lips when they
read, such as rlgvax!thekid, probably don't worry about case at all.

Poetry has its own rules and speed; e.e. cummings can be the basis for no
argument about capitalization in normal text.
