GoodfellowRemailed-To: Info-VAX@SRI-CSL.ARPA: ; Hi, We here at Periphonics Corp. just got our 4.1bsd distribution. We are now waiting for our Vax 11/750. Here are a few questions we have after looking over the documentation. Is the 4.1 bsd tape bootable using an ra81 or an ra60 as the main mass storage device? Does the current version of 4.1 bsd that Berkeley sends out include all of the bug fixes to date? If not where can I get them in either a machine readable or hardcopy format? The document Installing and Operating 4.1bsd dated May 18, 1981 and revised December 6, 1982 claims that there is no reliable driver for the 11/750 console cassette. Are we expected to boot our system from tape every time we want to bring it up? Is there now a reliable driver?
