Article-I.D.: hou5e.260 Posted: Tue Mar 1 02:07:33 1983 Received: Tue Mar 1 08:02:17 1983 A few years ago, I had a friend who confided in some of us that he was severely depressed. One of us helped him get some help, and I don't know where things went from there. In speaking with some other people, I learned that at the High School in the community were I lived (not my HS .., so I don't know much abut the atmosphere ..) a very popular honors student had hung himself, successfully, about three weeks before. In the time that followed, there had been no less than six additional attempts, most by women/ girls, with one probably damaged for life from an overdose of pills. (This info came from a community and youth officer) Does anyone know anything about this kind of behavior? Is the ``followup suicide'' as common as I was lead to beleive it is? ?etc? -hou5e!mat Mark Terribile
