I agree with the poster who feels people are over-reacting to "offensive"
words and pictures; as he pointed out, it's really people's actions that
matter.
However, I do draw a distinction between a public situation and space that
is "owned" by someone; posting *anything* (nude photos, religious pamphlets,
political tracts) in a public place is distracting and annoying.  I tend to
put such things in the same catagory as grafitti; it's detracts from the
overall appearance of the space.
People should be free to post whatever they like in space that belongs to
them; I don't keep anything more "offensive" than a Snoopy calendar on the
walls of my private office, but certainly respect other peoples's right to

have anything they like on the walls of theirs.  If I find their choice of
"wallpaper" disturbing, I'll make a point of not going into their office;
demanding that they re-decorate to suit my personal tastes strikes me as
unfair and childish.
