Easy Granola 7 3/4 c. regular oats,uncooked 1 1/4 c. flaked coconut 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 c. wheat germ 1 c. chopped pecans 1/2 c. salted sunflower kernels 1/2 c. sesame seeds 1 1/2 t. salt 3/4 c. vegetable oil 1/3 c. water 1 1/2 t. vanilla extract 1/2-1 c. raisins 1/2-1 c. chopped daates Combine first 8 ingredients in a large mixing bowl;set aside. Combine oil,water, and vanilla;stir well and pour over oat mixture. Toss gently to coat;place mixture in two 15 x10 x 1 inch jellyroll pans. Bake at 250 degrees for 35-40 minutes, stirring every ten minutes;cool. Stir in raisins and dates. Store granola in air tight containers. Yield: about 14 1/2 cups. Crunchy Granola 6 c. regular oats, uncooked 3/4 c. wheat germ 1/2 c. flaked coconut 1/3 c. sesame seeds 1/2 c. shelled sunflower seeds 1/2 c. raw peanuts 3/4 c. whole blanched almonds 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. honey 1 t. vanilla extract Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl;mix well and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan;place over medium heat,stirring until mixture is thoroughly heated. Pour over oats mixture;mix well. Spread mixture evenly into lightly greased 15 x10 x1 inch jellyroll pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown,stirring often. Cool;then store in an air tight container.
