What the site is all about:
	The Fairchild Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence Research is about
	2-1/2 years old.  A department of Fairchild Camera and Instrument
	Corporation in the Advanced Research and Development Division, our
	charter is to do basic and applied research in AI.  With about 25
	full-time researchers, we have ongoing work in: Speech, Vision, Expert-
	Systems, Knowledge Representation and Computer Architecture.

	We have two 780's running 4.1BSD; used for speech and vision
	peripherals and as file-servers.  We also have a 2060, SUNs and
	Lisp Machines.
	We've been running uucp for over a year, but just started with usenet.
