The point is, what TYPE of music (rock, classical, train sounds) do you listen to? Many speakers will do very well on rock, etc., but when it comes to classical, they just don't cut it. Just as some general comments, though, 3-D Acoustics has a nice set which uses two satellite speakers and a sub-woofer. This set does a real nice job with just about anything you care to give it. List price is about $500 I think. If you're into classical, check out Boston Acoustics' stuff. A friend is buying the A-200's (~$600-700/pair), and they are IMPRESSIVE. --Dave Curry decvax!pur-ee!davy ucbvax!pur-ee!davy ihnss!pur-ee!davy harpo!pur-ee!davy
