Here is a puzzle for the puzzle solving community. I am certain
that true puzze solvers are not going to be pushed to solve this
one but I am interested in noting whatever new ideas that may
sprout in the heads of the bright readership of this newsgroup.

Problem is that of word division. The following is an ordinary
(base 10) arithmetic division. Each digit has been replaced by
one and only one letter, no two letters having the same value.
Can you match the letters and the digits? All conventional rules
are in effect, such as no leading zeros.

           R A T E
           ----------------
 S T E P / V P O O T O P Y
           O R A E R
           ---------
             T P A O O
             I Y I E A
             ---------
               I I O P P
               I P Y E T
               ---------
                   V E R Y

Can you discover a curious property of this particular puzzle?
