Some of this discussion on "what is time" has turned into a philosophical
interchange on predestination. While many Philosophy of Science texts
(Kuhn's book comes to mind - don't remember the exact title; perhaps it's
"Philosophy of Science") treat this subject in some detail, another
interesting slant is taken by Kurt Vonnegut in "Sirens of Titan."
I won't spoil it for those who haven't read it, but the ending is
fantastic. For those who only know Vonnegut from "Breakfast of Champions",
etc., this is fairly passable SF. It might add fuel to the fire of
this "time" discussion.

P.S. If there is any discussion of an SF nature related to this article,
let's have it in net.sf-lovers where it belongs.
