Once upon a time, in midevil Europe, a man was making a pilgrimage.
to Rome. Unfortunately, on his journy, he was caught by storms and
caught a cold which severly hampered his journey. One day, when he
was feeling especially tired and misserable, his body just gave out
and he collapsed by the side of the road. Not long afterwards, there
came a friar, who seeing that the man was a pilgrim, took pity and
transported him to the local barber (who in those days was the local
physician). Now the barber was finely skilled in the art of blood
letting and immediately set about his task. As he prepared to bleed
a bit from the sick mans ear, the man regained consciousness. Seeing
a stranger standing over him with a knife in his hand, the man thought
he was beining attacked by robbers and immediately attempted to leave.
Unfortunately, in the struggle, the barber cut the mans throat and he
bled to death.

Now this brings me to the moral of the story:

Never fight the hand that bleeds you.
