After all, Spocks body has landed on a living planet reclaimed just moments before from a completely dead one. Who can say how long the rematrixing effect lasts, or its effect on dead bodies? Will Spock's renewed consciousness take over and direct the complex activities of the entire living planet, a la *Spock's Brain*? Did he in fact transfer his active consiousness *into* McCoy, to be somehow drawn out later, with the shell of his body simply completing the last command given it and then running down? Will Spock's body be left in a state of suspended animation in his capsule til Dr. X can perfect his Phoenix Effect and bring Spock back. Maybe a wandering D&D Wizard from the planet TSR will appear equipped with a rod of regeneration and resurrection? Maybe a hole in time will be discovered, whereby the Enterprise can jump back in time and save Spock (with interesting side effects) before he gets himself killed. Or maybe Leonard Nimoy is just tired of playing Spock, and he never will come back. . . . George Otto Bell Labs, Indian Hill ----------------------
