While there, he has time to read all technical literature on the Enterprise. Could this mean that super-intelligent Khan forgot to defeat the control console access code on the Reliant even though he may have known that it could be overridden? (Blind rage?) Also, if he had time to read the technical stuff, he may have done a little 'light' reading on Vulcan proverbs, just for laughs. (See long message from mhtsa!ihnss!ihuxl!rjnoe at Berkeley).
