The modem is connected to a model 9114 SLIM and we are running with Level 3.4 (DTR-up mode) Dataswitch software. I am pleased to report that subscribers can repeatedly originate calls through the modem without problems. We are, however, having problems in trying to get that same modem to answer calls. The Ven-Tel asserts DSR, CTS, and DCD when powered on. When dialed, RI is asserted properly and the Dataswitch responds with DTR and RTS after two rings. The Ven-Tel, however, will not answer with the carrier tone and continues to ring (asserting RI). The Dataswitch then drops its signals after the 15 second period and reasserts them after two more RI's. Any information would be appreciated.
