Title: Traffic Handling Query

I just tried to deliver a piece of traffic that I picked up
on a local net tonight and was met on the other end of the phone
by an answering machine. While the message was playing, I was
debating whether or not to leave the traffic there and in the end
decided not to, since that would not give the receiving party much
of a chance to send a reply radiogram (though I could have left my
name and number). My question is: Is it OK to leave traffic on
an answering machine or did I do the right thing (I realize it is
a matter of personal habits, but I would like to know what the majority
of you think)?
