At last, someone (Jan Elder), has discussed a non-escapist, non-fantasy
movie in this newsgroup.  Diner is not at all your typical "John and the
boys hang out together" type movie.  Ignore all comparisons to movies
like Porky's or Animal House.  Diner is a "serious" movie in the sense
that, unlike American Grafitti, attempts to accurately depict the time
(1959, I believe), and the place (Baltimore).  (An "it" is missing from
the last sentence.)

For a movie tip.  Those of you that don't mind subtitle should run (DON'T
walk) to see Diva.   A very very slick movie.
