Some terminals, e.g. Tek 4014, maintain the break condition so long that *two* framing errors are detected by the DH-11. To avoid various kinds of havoc that this can cause on UNIX, Duke's dh was modified so a framing error causes further input to be ignored for BRKTIME seconds (my guess was 300ms).
