Well, I guess I might as well pound out some of my views regarding
the current discussions about singleness. To give a setting to what
I am about to say, let it be known that I am waiting for my date
to pick me up for a corporate social I am now late for.

This setting provides at quite a few topics to touch upon. One,
the corporate social I am going to is oriented towards couples.
I was originally planning to go alone until I was given the
impression that I would be bored there by myself. Who knows.

Two, a difficulty in many relationships is arrangeing schedules.
I find this often limits my spontenaity and my perceived freedom.

Three, as I sit here I think to myself, I am really more in the mood
for playing with the computer tonight and I wish I hadn't committed
myself to this social endevor.

What does this all mean? For one I would like to hear other
people talk about there struggles with the social pressure
from a married/coupled world. Secondly, in responce to discussions
about what do singles do differently, I will repsond that I do
things I can do by myself, and I prefer it that way.
Solitaire is more interesting than bridge, and hacking is more
interesting than 'chatting'. I go to museums, movies and meals
by myself and sometimes get weird looks from others, but I enjoy myself,
and so as to not sound to hedonistic, I learn a lot of things I might
not have time for if I were coupled.

I am proud to sign my name,
Aldon Hynes
BTL Pisc.
