An interpreter that didn't break up its input language into tokens
for storage during execution was characterized as thinking to itself,
when it chanced upon "if payroll>budget then goto 300" during execution,
"p... a... y... r... o... l... l... payroll! I recognize that variable!",
on every pass through that program line.
