Diner is not at all your typical "John and the boys hang out together" type movie. Ignore all comparisons to movies like Porky's or Animal House. Diner is a "serious" movie in the sense that, unlike American Grafitti, attempts to accurately depict the time (1959, I believe), and the place (Baltimore). (An "it" is missing from the last sentence.) For a movie tip. Those of you that don't mind subtitle should run (DON'T walk) to see Diva. A very very slick movie.
