The plant has a recovery and refining section to try and recover as much heavy water from spent moderator as possible. Any additional source of Deuterium has got to be examined, but will it be economical? (No anti-nuke mail, please.) John Winterton. P.S. Pickering uses CANDU reactors, as do all Canadian power sites. Expensive, but safer.
