But if you'd like a different approach to making fudge, try this one: ======================================== 1/2 cup margarine (1 stick) 2 small boxes Royal chocolate pudding** 1/2 cup milk melt margarine with milk in medium-sized saucepan; stir in pudding mix completely. bring this to a low boil and let it simmer for 30-45 seconds. (the longer it cooks, the harder the fudge ... but if you undercook it, it will stay nicely in the refrigerator) remove cooked mixture from heat and beat in (with electric mixer) one 1-lb. box of confectioner's (powdered) sugar plus 1 teaspoon vanilla. add nuts. pour into lightly buttered pan and let cool. **do NOT use instant pudding; i have tried using other brandnames of pudding but have not been satisfied with the results. i've never tried different flavors of pudding.
