It's quite hokey* and unbelievable but VERY enjoyable none-the-less. The dramatic element fails miserably because by the time the movie comes to these scenes, most (intelligent) moviegoers will be "hoked-out" and won't give a hoot one way or the other about ET. On the other hand, this is one of the funniest movies you're likely to see for a while and the humor alone is worth the price of admission. The action never gets slow and the movie maintains [audience] interest throughout. The are a few MINOR incidents of rough language, but no more than the average junior higher (or grade shooler 3-6) would hear in a day at school. In other words, typical talk for kids of that age. For good light-hearted fun and a lot of laughs, ET is the one to see. PS. I really appreciated the ST2 info from the book. Thanks.
