In order to alleviate the problem, he visited the school psychology dept, where he knew research in intelligence was being done. There he met up with a professor who had developed a machine which reduced intelligence. The professor was eager to try the machine on a human being, and the student was equally eager to reduce his IQ to be more consistent with all the other Purdue students. Thus, the professor hooked the student up to the machine, turned it on, and went for a cup of coffee. A few minutes later, he came back to check on the student. The IQ meter had barely moved at all in the insuing minutes, so the professor went to grab a bite to eat. While he was out, he ran across a fellow researcher, and they became embroiled in a long discussion of each other's latest discoveries. After quite a while, the professor glanced at his watch, and suddenly realized he had left that poor student hooked up to the machine for over two hours! Rushing back to the lab, he saw the poor student slumped in his chair, drool running down his chin, and the IQ meter bouncing off zero! Grabbing the student, he shouted, "Speak to me, son. Are you all right?" To which the student replied: "Go Hoosiers!" ----------------- This joke can, of course, be applied to almost any group: your favorite (or non-favorite) college, high school, etc; students who major in agriculture, forestry, engineering, home ec; CB'ers, you name it. All that's necessary is to devise the last line such that it identifies the group to be burned. For example, with CB'ers, you use: "ten-four, good buddy"
