Racism has no business on the NET! For that matter, racism has no business existing in a civilized society! The joke itself, the followup to the well deserved harangue, (hey bro, etc.) and the comment by ...!philabs!guest that "some of his best friends...." are all racist in nature and define the perpetrators to be people with small minds. (For the record, I am neither black, nor of any other racial or ethnic minority. I am a GOLDWATER conservative. Sometimes I bill myself as a "redneck" just to get the "liberals" jumping up and down.) 2. The best thing that can come of this incident is that it will be forgotten. The worst is that the specter of censorship will again be threatened. I do not want my news articles or mail censored by anyone, but, if the kind of drivel I referred to above is on the NET then I don't blame anyone who votes for censoring news articles. (Yet another example of some flaming a**hole ruining a good thing!) The concept of "free speech" is ok in the abstract but can you imagine some "Affirmative Action Supervisor" seeing that NET submission and going through the roof? I can! ( I went through the roof and I'm not a supporter of the way AA is being implemented! ) 3. For the sake of the users of the net, let's police our own selves and keep such vermin as ....!philabs!guest from polluting our network or we might not have a network.
