Here is my very favorite chocolate chip cookie recipie
(Believe me, I've tried many) WARNING - This recipie makes a lot.
Maybe about 24 - 36 dozen, it usually takes me a couple of hours to bake them
all. If this sounds like too much use half or less of the recipie,
or perhaps try refrigerating the dough (no, I've never tried this myself)

Ingredients:

    2 cups margarine (or butter)
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
    3 eggs
    3 t vanilla
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
    3 t baking powder
12 oz. chocolate chips (your favorite kind)

Method:

In your biggest mixing bowl blend the margarine and sugars.
Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix in the flour and baking powder.
Finally fold in the chocolate chips.
Spoon the dough onto a cookie sheet (ungreased) with a teaspoon.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.

Notes:

The main reason this is my favorite recipie is that it will
consistently produce chewy cookies, and they will stay chewy for
a long time (with this many, they have too).

Enjoy
