(This is actually a re-submission of an idea originally contributed several months ago and apparently unseen by many of the current users). Jokes which are based upon or derive their humorous content from the alleged "deficiencies" of any specific ethnic background can usually be regarded as not suitable for submission to this forum. Tell them at your private lunches, parties or whatever but keep them off the net. If, on the other hand, a joke merely uses nationality or ethnic background to identify the characters in the joke then by all means submit it. A test for this is to try the joke with the (original) ethnic references replaced by "Ethnic #1", "Ethnic #2", etc. ("Two Ethnics are walking down the road when Ethnic #1 says..."). If the joke still works, it's a winner. If not, then flush it, don't submit it. (signed) keith ericson at teklabs decvax!teklabs!keithe or ucbvax!teklabs!keithe
