	Yes, ...!wheps!jere, it's true. "Lou Grant" has been canceled for the
1982-83 schedule. I hadn't thought about it before, but it probably was
political what with Grant Tinker moving to NBC. Another interesting note to all
video maniacs out there. "Taxi" has been removed from ABC's fall schedule. I
guess a sign of growing old is when networks start scheduling for a younger
audience with marvelous shows like "Joanie Loves Chachi" (*SIGH*).
	I was just wondering. If all of these shows (Lou Grant, Taxi, etc.)
are produced by "independant" producers, why can't the shows switch from net-
work to network more often (e.g., Walt Disney has been on all 3 major networks).
Why doesn't some genius cable network contract with the independant producers
of these series to produce new episodes for them?
