I am now happy to tell you that it requires NO software changes to cu or uucp to be able to use it! You just need a long L.sys line for uucp, and for cu, you just talk to the modem and dial by hand. Granted, it would be nice if the software was fancier and did know about the vadic dialer, but you can get on the air without it. Oh, I forgot to tell you that you need to run the extensions to uucp that allow you to send out control characters and lines not terminated by newlines while negotiating the connection. You can get that from us at Rand. >From vadic, you order a 3451PA, `A' for `autodial', or if you have a recent enough vadic, they will upgrade it for you for $160. --dave
