The framing problem shows itself by causing occasional groups of characters to be turned into large block equals signs. Ann Arbor says that this is due to misalignment between the buffering within the Ambassador and the transmission from the host but were quite surprised that I was running at only 1200 baud and had error detection turned off. In fact, they now seem somewhat mystified. As the Ambassador warms up, the problems go away in a couple hours. Anyone else have this problem? Stuart
