In addition to #94, many electric streetcars and trains will be available for passenger service on museum trackage. The museum is located midway between Fairfield and Rio Vista on state highway 12. From San Francisco, you can take interstate-80 to highway 12 at Fairfield. Admission is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for Seniors & ages 12-18, and $1.00 for ages 3-11. Children under 3 are free. The California Railway Museum is run by the Bay Area Electric Railroad Association, a non-profit volunteer organization. (This is not to be confused with the California STATE Railroad Museum in Sacramento, which is run by the state of California -- they are just a static museum. At Rio Vista Junction, visitors actually ride on operating rail vehicles.) Michael S. Maiten Silicon Gulch, California msm@MIT-MC (ARPA) ....!ucbvax!menlo70!sytek!msm (USENET)
