Brad Templeton says that an accomplished rogue who wants to fight xorns
shouldn't have to struggle with ants. What is the difference between
fighting a xorn and fighting an ant? Essentially none. The numbers at
the bottom of the screen change, that's all. Pleasure in rogue comes
from what YOU make it, not from what rogue makes.

Rogue battles are so simplistic. Sort of like primitive sex. Bang,
bang, bang, until one combatant or the other gives in. And there are a
whole slew of people talking about how great it is to engage in combat
with a xorn rather than a hobgoblin. When it's all the same. Sound
familiar? Bang, bang, bang. And don't they LOVE having their scores
posted for all to see. Ha.

Btw, I enjoy playing rogue now and then; I just don't think it would
really satisfy me (or anyone) in the long run if rogue was made
easier. Note that there are people (not me!) who win without cheating
now.
