The USG format looks like :junk-name(morejunk)stillmorejunk: so 2.9 ignores everything before a dash. Never thought about hyphenated names. It looks like ifdefs are going to be needed after all. A quick fix is possible, if you don't run RJE, by removing the check for '-' near the end of fullname.c I wonder what happens if someone on a Bell Labs machine with RJE has a hyphenated name? Mark
