RMS thinks that anyone who screws himself with ^W is hopeless. I know
that many people use systems (like Berkeley UNIX) which use ^W for
and they (I) hit it automatically whether I
am on a Berkeley UNIX system or not. Fortunately, I now know about
^Y, but if I am a casual user on an ITS system, and I want to edit my
mail, then EMACS is the editor I would get thrown into, and I don't
have to know about ^W^Y to productively enter my mail text.

Yes, NOVICE sounds wonderful. Is it available under any of the
UNIX-flavored EMACS-style editors?
