I'm looking for an algorithm to go from text to phonemes for a project of mine. The translations can be done off-line (ie, no real-time requirement). Does anyone have pointers to the above algorithms or any other such algorithms (preferably public-domain)? (Yes, I know Type-N-Talk will provide phonemes for its input. Presumably other talking systems will but I am looking for an algorithm I can use.) Replies to Tyson@SRI-AI and not to the mailing list. Mabry Tyson Tyson@SRI-AI -------
