Summary: Memory upgrades
In the TIPC (desktop version) I have a Persyst Time Spectrum with a
RAMPAK (piggybacked). This gives me a serial port, 512K of memory
(total), and a battery backed-up clock.
Additionally, I have a Mega-Omega "The Companion Card" that adds 1-Meg
for any combination of EMS expanded memory, RAM disk, and filling the
remaining system RAM space (from 512K to 768K). A 2-Meg version was
also available. Mega-Omega Systems Inc. is based here in Dallas and
I've heard rumors that they've stopped making the TI version of the
card (really just a cut here, new chip there, a wire there from the
IBM version). Address is 5217 Ross Ave., Suite 710 LB 122, Dallas, TX
75206.
One more thing and I'll leave...
Western Digital(?) makes a line of TIPC boards from memory to disk
controller boards. Check the TIPC magazines.
