This is just a sort of (like it says above) random question I have,
directed towards our illustrious Moderator. What is this question
that it is? Well may you ask; my word yes. My question is this:

--> How is it that sometimes a message *and its reply* will
appear in the same issue of SF-Lovers Digest ??

This paradox has been plaguing me for some time, but only now have
I been able to summon the courage to ask it. Perhaps the ARPAnet is
nothing but an elaborate sham (there's just this guy, see, in this
abandoned warehouse with a terminal, typing in replies to my messages
and inserting them into my mail file), and my questioning these cracks
in reality will cause the whole world to crumble, just like in some
Philip Dick novel . . .

					Yours Tremulously,
					    Peter Alfke
