Summary:
"Crewel Lye" (Piers Anthony) isn't really his best effort. More puns
than ever (not always very good ones though), and he is very slowly
becoming less of a male chauvinist, but the story is disjointed at the
beginning and end, the characterization is uneven in Jordan's
narrative, and rather repetitious with Jordan being too similar to
Bink. The use of different perspectives across the series just barely
manages to keep Anthony from rewriting the same story over and over
again.
I would have preferred it if they'd release "Bearing an Hourglass" in
paper cover rather than yet another Xanth book.
