I ordered a G5 this week, $80 shipped.
It only has 1.5GB memory and I'm looking to bump that. I see 400 MHz, PC
3200 DIMMs with the warning Maximum number of memory devices on DDR SDRAM:
16 and Non-ECC.
On some memory seller sites, I see warnings about high density vs low
density, not quite sure what that means. Will this work?
Kingston 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 DDR 400MHz Desktop RAM,184-pin, non-ECC,
KTH-D530/1G< http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kingston-2GB-2x1GB-PC3200-DDR-400MHz -Desktop-RAM-184-pin-non-ECC-KTH-D530-1G-/261184715614?pt=US _Memory_RAM_&hash=item3ccfd27b5e>
The image shows 8 chips per side. I recall when loading up my MDD G4, I
needed to be careful as there were flavors of DRAM that weren't going to
work. Sorry to leave the G4s behind, but this system was cheaper than a
used PS.
