I have MDBasic for the 2GS and want a quick crash course in MDBasic programming. I just want to start programming as quickly as possible.

Never mind. I have the information I want. Unfortunately, it seems to produce Applesoft programs, while I want to program for the Finder, i.e. dialog boxes and windows. Any suggestions on a BASIC that does that?

I'm not very familiar with the GS, but I do have 6 different Apple manuals for them, and I think that what you want to do requires the use of the GS toolbox system.

Antoine,

Which of these is the latest release, yours or Asimov's?

============================================================ ==========
Apple_IIgs_GSOS_internals_v1 {PDF-1.4}.pdf = Apple IIgs GS/OS
Internals, Volume 1 ~ {GSOS Reference, Volume 2}
------------------------------------------------------------ ----------
http://www.brutaldeluxe.fr/documentation/gsos/Apple_IIgs_GSO S_internals_v1.pdf
============================================================ ==========
Apple_IIgs_GSOS_internals_v1 {PDF-1.6}.pdf = Apple IIgs GS/OS
Internals, Volume 1 ~ {GSOS Reference, Volume 2} [Date
11/9/2010]
------------------------------------------------------------ ----------
ftp://public.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/documentation/programmi ng/65816_gs/Apple_IIgs_GSOS_internals_v1.pdf
============================================================ ==========

Asimov's file has a later PDF version {PDF-1.6}, but an earlier
upload date; and, BrutalDeluxe's file has an earlier PDF version
{PDF-1.4}--[but, I downloaded it yesterday; and, I don't know its
upload date]. The files have identical sizes (455 KB), but
compare as different; but, they look the same as far as the first
few pages when viewed in Adobe's PDF reader.

No, it is not Dr. Tom; the author listed is Antoine Vignau.

You are missing the point, James. Dr Tom would scavenge someone elses work and put his name in the credits. So if the one on Asimov was scavenged by Dr Tom, it would have his name.

OK, I did not know that. I was just checking who the author was as listed in the PDF properties as requested.
