What's that got to do with anything? My experience with the man pages
is that one of the following very often applies:

1) There is no man page
2) There is a man page but it's out of date
3) There is a man page but it's for a different application altogether.

So I tend to limit my Terminal usage to stuff I already know, or if I
have to launch an executable from with my app then I accept the faff of
figuring out the command string as part of the development time. I can
usually find out what's needed, however, one way or another.

Windows is different altogether, it's more of a crapshoot there, and
there's some chance what I need can't be done anyway.

Now try a FreeBSD system and see how man pages should be done.

I think he's saying you expect the man pages to cover your installed
software, and he expects them to cover the Unix-like parts of MacOS.

That tends to mean you're using the wrong OS, or the wrong software.
At least if you expect good man pages.

In Debian or OpenBSD you can expect a decent man page for everything.
