Youtube is even worse. I like old movies, so I might enjoy some of the B+W
stuff, but you get a lot of "trailers", some scenes, someone's video
_About_ movies, etc, mixed in with a few movies in many languages. There
may be a way to filter, but I haven't found it. I'd like to be able to
filter on full-length movies in English, maybe older than a certain date.

Re: length. I've gotten so I watch a movie spread out over two nights.
Amazon, at least, has a "resume" feature to pick up where I left off. I no
longer have the patience or attention span to spend two or more hours
watching a movie.

I search on band name or movie name. Then click on ones in that list.
Neat to see the 1940s through 1960s music available.

A few years ago I found Nelson Eddy and Janette McDonald singing
'Indian Love call'. She is a trapper living in a log cabin, and he is
the Mounty. I remember the movie where she was dressed as a Native
American and he was a Mounty singing the same song.

That assumes you know what you want, or at least have something in mind,
and you still turn up a lot of crud to wade thru.

I know no one makes the effort to index anything any more (anyone remember
how Yahoo started?) but having uploaders supply some tags, even using
checkboxes on the upload form, would be a big step ahead.
