He always has a "not" in front of anything I write about DEC
and OS development even though I was around when and where things
happened and did some of the work.

So did I. It wasn't a bad system for something that was limited to 256K words.

Of course, in the same computer room was an 11/45 running Unix in about 200K bytes.
