Go reread previous threads and note when the thread stopped
talking about the computing topic.

Then get back to me with a report if you dare.

You will observe what happens to the threads which are about
computing.

You can find a way to read a quaarter year's worth.

Do your own research

I don't have to. I've already noticed how threads diverge. All
you have to do is notice the trends and remember. This
kind of observation is (or was) part of doing original
computing development.

But be prepared ....

I'm coming back to Usenet after an absence of about 15 months, and
there were about 24000 articles waiting for me in afc. That works
out to, what, about 1600 articles per month, so three month's worth
might be a little daunting. :-)?

The good news, I guess, is that based on article timestamps it looks
like my news server still had messages for that whole 15 months.
The good/bad news is that I probably skipped a lot of discussions I'd
have tried to follow if I'd been tuned in while they were happening.

(It's a pleasure to see that some familiar names are still here, though
sadly one of them is recently departed.)
