Hi there,

Loading ProDOS 2.4.1 on an Apple //e or Apple IIGS and verifying that:

I can see /RAM
I can save a new BASIC program to it
It has space available

Should this command:

COPY FILE,/RAM/FILE

Produce either an I/O error or SYNTAX ERROR?

I get an I/O ERROR on the //e. A Syntax Error on the IIGS.

I am not aware of BASIC.SYSTEM having a COPY command. I would expect a SYNTAX ERROR.

Hmmm.. yeah, I think I didn't understand that. Hmmm...

I have a BASIC program in which they're using that command and it
works, so they must be doing something to give themselves a copy
command...?

Ok, the program I am analyzing has a small ML program that creates and
makes available a COPY command. That's why there's a copy in the first
place.

I get it now and am a little embarrassed. T_______________T
