The internal drive is jsut like any other II drive. You can bypass it in the same way. I have a an SPSTNO switch attached to mine years ago when I was into fastcopy programs and was tired of notching/maming disks.

You can use FAQs form several places to find the solder points to override or redirect the write protect. I chose the momentary switch so I would KNOW I was overriding for the whole 25-30 seconds of write time and never forget and leave it in a state that was undesirable. :)

Forgot a link or two. Here's a whole search, but I prefer the CSA2 FAQs but there have been several step by step with picture tutorials over the years. :) I note my own tutorial is down. I have it archived some where. :)

Thanks. will look into these links. I just opened my //c and looked at the
drive, i am wondering if you can simply remove or reposition the write
protection sensor (top & bottom)without adding a switch? hmm.
