I am watching 3 shows right now, the 3 mentioned in the title of this
post, and my evaluation is as follows:

Izetta, the last Witch: I like the anime that are set in Europe or
Pseudo-Europe.

Sweetness and Lightning: I put this in the same sort of classification
of "father-daugther anime" (for lack of knowing the actual name of the
genre - perhaps a subgenre of "slice of life") such as Aishituruze Baby
and Usagi Drop, which are 2 of my favorites.

The only thing I am worried about is that the teacher and the student
that he is with might "hook up," either in the show itself or later in
the manga or whatever it is based on,witch would ruin the show, at least
for me (I am on about episode 4 right now).

I am torn between continuing watching the show, or just stopping right
now so as to remain blissfully unaware (I don't have any big problem
with spoilers, so if anybody wants to either warn me that they do "hook
up" or reassure me that they do not, feel free to do so).

Ah my Buddha: I occaionally rewatch this show, and cannot decide if it
is 1) a fun and campy show, 2) a "so bad it's good" show, or 3) a crappy
"panty-shot" show that is in the weird position of having too many panty
shots, but too few at the same time.

The father/teacher spends part of the first or so episode worrying about
the propriety of the situation, so I don't think there's much concern of
anything happening at 'this point in time'. In another episode or three
you'll learn the gal's mother is aware of the situation and approves,
seeing her daughter changing for the better in her view due to it. I do
wonder about the close friends of both parties though.

So further research is indicated?

You won't be disappointed in Sweetness & Lightning with the anime
or manga regarding what you're concerned with. The manga does
have recipes but are too advanced for me to try/consider.
