A few years ago a friend's cat chewed up the antenna on my old G5, 1.8.

Now I need it! Finding a replacement seems rather expensive though.
Look at this price!

$55! That's just the antenna.

Are there any workarounds? Could one screw something into the card
(there is a place to screw in the antenna) and then use a piece of
wire to get the antenna? Or can I take the little antennae I have on
some old wireless cards hanging around here and attach it to the
wireless card on the G5?

Or does someone have one of those little T antennas they'd be willing
to sell me at a decent (for me!) price?

You could probably get an appropriate wireless pigtail and attach a regular antenna

You could cut off the end of a coax cable, leaving about 6 inches of cable. Then strip about 4-5 inches of insulation. Put a right angle bend in the bare wire at the remaining insulation. Or strip a longer piece of coax and fold it into a "T". Voila!
Or you could buy the OEM Apple antenna plus a set of the correct Apple had drive screws from me, shipped USPS Priority Mail from Eureka CA. How much do you want to pay for that?

The WiFi cards usually have one, two or three U.Fl connectors. Two is the
most common for cards used on Apple machines.

The (external) antennas themselves usually have a RP-SMA connector.

One antenna is usually sufficient, but two can be better than one.

Cables with a U.FL connector on one end and an RP.SMA connector on the
other are available in quite a number of lengths from ePay (sic) sellers.

For my Shuttle small form factor machines which usually have a fast 4-core
Intel processor and run MacOS X, I need a 12" internal cable to connect
the WiFi card to the antenna. The

Shuttles all have knockouts which accommodate the RP-SMA connector (and
therefore the antenna), and the other end connects directly to the WiFi
card (either Broadcom 94322, for early examples, or Realtek 8187 or
Atheros, for late examples).

Apple supplies drivers for Broadcom and Atheros WiFI cards, but the plist
usually has to be edited to enable the cards. For the Atheros, Apple uses
id=2a, but all the Atheros cards which are sold on ePay are id=2b.

Then there are USB WiFi cards with integral or detachable antennas, and
Apple even has drivers for those, as long as the card is Realtek-based.

Never mind what I said below about making an antenna (which I’ve made a number of for various satellite receivers and other set-top boxes that use a coax fitting for antennas. I was working off of faulty memory about the connector for the G5 antenna. What I’ve got is a G5 Power Mac tower Airport “T” antenna and a proper G5 tower bluetooth antenna. I’ve got the antenna and bluetooth cards, plus the 4 screws that hold them in place. I’ve also got an Airport Extreme card. Plus I’ve got 3 sets of the original Apple Mac Pro hard drive roundhead black screws.
