Have an iBook G4 with a corrupted Leopard install. I wanted to install Tiger and Classic Mode, or OS9 if possible. My 4 CD set Tiger intaller wouldn't boot. A number of other DVD Tiger installers wouldn't boot. Tried every OS9 installer I could find including last year's patched 'OS9.2.2 for G4s including unsupported machines'. Nothing would boot except OS X Server 10.4...so I ran the intaller, which worked but I can't find the product key...
Any suggestions Bruce, et. al.?

Entering the cave of the Atlanta VA Hospital for some radiology procedures. Will write later with questions about my Sawtooth running dual Sonnet 1.8ghz 7448's, I think...

Thanks!

Well Server worked so the drive isn’t bad. If the data on the system isn’t important I’d boot from the server installer disk again, nuke and pave the hard drive (drop the partition, re-add it), and try using one of the other installers again.

Maybe reset the PRAM?

Thanks Bruce and all!

Passing on the iBook... I need to work on my Sawtooth...I also have a
damaged unit of the last PowerMac G5s, with a damaged case, can't use any
of the ports on the back. Cranks up and runs perfectly for days...(yes,
it's noisy) have a case to transfer the guts into, but the dismantling and
reinstallation of the cooling system has me scared. Gary Dailey (Daystar)
and his daughter were doing repairs/upgrades at their shop in Buford,
Ga....might be one way to go...

Thanks again!

The ports on the back are generally attached directly to the
motherboard/main logic board... Guess I'm not clear on how case damage
would prevent their use.
