Hi Christopher,

David Schmidt said to contact you here.

I understand that you got GSport to print, which is very useful to me,
and I thank you.

I read elsewhere at ...

http://comp.emulators.apple2.narkive.com/p9c565E8/print-qual ity-issues-in-gsport-0-31-windows-with-both-virtual-imagewri ter-and-epson-lq

a comment from you, saying ...

"FWIW, the Epson emulation has bugs that likely won't be fixed. Stick
with the ImageWriter emulation for now on. Its likely the Epson LQ
option will be phased out in later revisions of GSPort. It was
originally a stop gap solution for printer emulation until ImageWriter
support was added."

The Epson LQ option works well for me, using an Brother HL-2070n laser
printer emulating an FX-890 for paper, and the Epson LQ option also almost
works for printing labels in a Epson FX-890 9-pin dot-matrix printer.

I really do not want to use ImageWriter emulation to print to a PDF
and then print that PDF to paper.

I do all my GSport computing with Applesoft/ProDos and like to print
both paper and labels from within Applesoft programs.

Paper now works great. But printing on 4" x 1.5" labels, every few
labels it prints several blank lines, and then the labels are mis-
aligned.

These are fan-fold labels in a real Epson FX-890. I think maybe the
Epson printer thinks it's printing to an 11-inch long piece of paper.

I tried to fix this in the Windows Control Panel, Printer Preferences
for the Epson FX-890 by creating a new "User Defined Paper" that
was 4" wide and 1.5" height, which is the size of the labels, but
this did not help. So I still can't print labels.

But I think I maybe have a way around this problem that I will
continue to work on, using the escape-codes for Epson FX-890.
"ESC 2" sets the Epson to 6 lines per inch, "ESC C 9" sets the
page length to 9-lines, which would then be 1.5" height, like my
labels.

Please do not discontinue support for Epson LQ/FX printers.

I wonder if you have any ideas about how to fix the label printing
in my Epson.

Thanks again for your contribution to GSport. It's very cool and
I like it a lot.
